They inspected both my front and rear brakes and confirmed that the grinding noise was coming from the rear pads. They were completely honest and let me know my front pads still had plenty of life left, instead of trying to upsell me on parts I didn't need. After confirming the issue, they ordered the parts, which arrived within about an hour. Once the parts came in, they knocked out the brake job in just 30-40 minutes. Super fast, transparent, and professional from start to finish. They also topped off my fluids and filled my tires, which I really appreciated. They walked me through everything and showed me exactly what was going on, which made me feel like I could truly trust their honesty--unlike some other shops that might try to say you definitely need new rotors or extra work done. I also did Differential Fluid on my GT86 since I don't want to deal with lifting up lowered cars and they finish it before quote time! Wally also a great guy and know what he's doing for sure, coming from someone in automotive schools. Keep in mind if your older than 2000's or lack OB2, you might need to take to different places but other than that, I would recommend coming here for quick smog checks or other basic maintenance.

They use KYB struts and shocks, which is a highly reputable brand for those who are unfamiliar. For a daily driver, this is more than enough. I called Wednesday, was able to get scheduled in the following Monday, 5 days later. Dropped the car off at 8AM which took less than 5min. Got a call back around 2:15PM same day that my car was done. Picked it up, paid, and this process took less than 10min. The thing I love about C&T is how thorough they are, as mentioned earlier. They take the time to inspect the vehicle and note anything strange. This information is then passed onto the customer once they pick up their car. They even found a loose screw that was creating a small brake fluid leak in one of my calipers and they tightened and cleaned it up without my prior knowledge. Thank you so much! Even the slightest sounds the car makes, they will inspect and find the source without you having to ask. Came in to have Check Engine Light issue fixed so I could register the car…read more They did their diagnosis, got the error code identified, they replaced parts, I paid $1600 and picked up the car...only to have the check engine light come back on as soon as I started the engine. I was a little frustrated because they told me the problem was fixed. I immediately brought the back, had it re-diagnosed, and was later told there is another issue which would cost $700 (after a bit of a discount), and there could be more after that. It's an older car, but with relatively low mileage for its age (20 year old Lexus sedan with 105k miles). At least this time I was told there are potentially other underlying issues, which could be cost prohibitive. After this second round of repairs, I was told they'd have to partially take apart the engine because "it could be..." I didn't want to continue this process if they weren't even sure what the problem is and I would have to pay them more so they could "maybe find" what is causing the check engine light. They seemed to be more diligent this second time, and took a little more care to see if the check engine light issue was fully resolved. Good on them for their second effort. I wish they could have done a more thorough check the first time instead of it seeming so exploratory. Maybe that's how the problem had to be discovered, but it felt like it was more process of elimination than a targeted solution. I can disconnect and reconnect my battery and get the same results of the check engine light off for a few days. I took the car back now $2400 lighter in the pocket, unclear if the two parts they replaced may have still been functioning, and with my check engine light still on. I feel it was a misdiagnosis of the problem initially. If they properly diagnosed the problem, my decision making would have been different. Instead, I feel as if I got strung along for two payments if I wanted to have my car back that I still can't register.
