I came here for the first time a few months ago, with toddler. He is pretty well behaved but you never know. The place is clean and quiet if you go after the lunch rush. Prices are great and quality of meat and fresh veggies is great. The service is excellent and always there to help. They always provide an extra fork for my son. He picks at rice and egg rolls. Thursday, December 22, 2022 Updated review. My wife and I had lunch here today (just the two of us). It has been several months or so since we have been here last. Food is the same although quite a bit more expensive and they don't offer any of the extra things included in the price that they used to have like sweet and sour chicken etc. and other food items. Lunch is now $15.95 per person on weekdays and $20.99 on the weekends. Very expensive. They give you less food options but charge you more. The thing I'm most unhappy about with this place is they now charge you an extra 6% service charge. It's really a tip but that's what they call it. A service charge. Doesn't matter if it's only one person or two people or whatever they're going to charge you that 6% extra and you won't know it until after you've paid your bill. So basically we didn't know about this extra added service charge until after we paid the bill because they don't inform you of this. So I tipped the hostess cash and I tipped the guy cooking the food cash and then when I went to pay the bill it had an extra 6% already added on the bill so everyone here got tipped very well today. I don't mind tipping at all but I don't appreciate the practice of automatically including a service charge (tip) into the bill especially without them informing you that that's what they are doing. So I will not be coming back to RC Mongolian ever again. They lost us as customers. read more

It wasn't totally what we were expecting- not fancy by any means and has a very "chill" environment. Seems like most Mongolian bbq places I've been to have been noisy and chaotic. This is a good place for Mongolian BBQ! There is a saucing guide hanging from the ceiling to help you decide what to add. The vegetables are fresh and the meats are of good quality. It is also AYCE so that is definitely a plus. The sesame bread is excellent and one of the best I have ever had. The bread was crispy, flaky with layers, and puffy in places. The best thing, since it is all you can eat, is you can have several pieces if you wanted. Soup is also available on the buffet line. This place definitely warrants many return visits. We have loved coming to RC for many years, but we have noticed that things are not quite the same since the pandemic shutdown. On our most recent visit, the ice cream machine wasn't working and looked like it hadn't been in a while. The vegetables were not as visually appealing as they used to be and it looked like there was a leak in the roof that had been there for a while. Found another local gem! I grew up going to a Mongolian BBQ spot that became a childhood favorite. This place was definitely close enough to what i grew up on and was just as good if not better. The restaurant itself was kind of warm and smokey inside but if you can handle that it's not a bad place to eat. There is not much staff since most things you do yourself but the cooks are very friendly. One negative is that I wish they would let all customers know of their 6% service charge before paying, it's definitely weird especially when it applies to all parties of any size. Can you believe my husband had never had Mongolian BBQ before? I was excited to witness his first time! A trusted Yelp search led us to this spot in the next city over from my hometown and I'm glad it did! It's AYCE Mongolian BBQ (with four types of meat options - beef, chicken, pork, and lamb - and a mega large selection of vegetables) with a weak buffet on the side. Lunch ends at 2 p.m. and we probably came a little too late (around 1:15) to get any fresh items at the buffet. The crab wontons, fried rice, and sweet / sour chicken were all a little dried out and stale. Similar to other Mongolian BBQ spots, here guests help themselves to a bowl of raw meats, vegetables, uncooked noodles, and a selection of oils and sauces before handed it over to a chef to cook together on a round flat-top grill. The raw meat is typically very thin so it cooks quickly within minutes in a stir-fry setting. The chef(s) push the stir-fry bowl mix around the grill until it is done cooking, pushed into a clean bowl, and returned to the guest. At our table, the staff kept our drinks refilled and were all pretty friendly. The line for the Mongolian BBQ moves pretty quickly and the bowl came back piping hot! All of the ingredients were fresh and I was pleased with the taste. Standalone, this place is great. It doesn't compare as strong to other similar places I've been to in the past, but we will definitely be back. We love going there because we love the food, and the last time we went as a family we were allowed to eat the buffet, and I was allowed to serve my togo plate and pay for it and still eat with my family who ate and paid for buffet.
