I used a tool on yelp to recommend me moving services and MV Moving & Storage came up as one of the higher rated companies. I'm very happy I went with them! It was well worth it. It's priced on the more affordable end of the spectrum compared to their competitors, and I got so much from them for it! For our move we were fortunate to have access to both properties for a couple weeks, so we opted to pack and move all the small/delicate things we could ahead of the actual day we hired the movers for. That way, when moving day came, all we were moving were the big pieces of furniture, instead of that PLUS all our boxes. We moved out of a 2 bed/2bath one story condo into a 3 bed/3bath two story townhome. They showed up ready to work! No delays or taking too long. I couldn't believe how fast they wrapped every single piece of furniture in clear wrap or taped moving blankets to secure it, then loaded it into the truck. Not to mention disassembling our king bed and loading that in as well. Then we all drove over to the new place and they just as quickly unloaded, unwrapped and placed the furniture and reassembled the bed. They're happy to put what you want where you want and do whatever you need them to. I appreciated their consideration in that regard. They were careful with all the furniture, they were cognizant of not bumping it into the walls, etc etc. Overall, very pleased with their service. Just had a move from this group, and they were solid. Heard back on Yelp from my request promptly. Was able to schedule it very quickly and ask further questions. Then, the movers themselves came early and got done early. There was a three hour minimum, but that seems common with these groups. I found the three guys who came to move us helpful and very proficient at their tasks. They made moving with a pregnant wife much easier and gave us the opportunity to relax a bit and focus on other tasks aside from moving some of our heavier stuff, clothes, etc. I'm sure that they could have done even more, but we had a combo of volunteer and paid movers.
