I know that when people have a good or great experience it isn't often heard or seen. I just wanted to say that the experience we had with Carlton our sales person was great as usual. We have been buying electronics and appliances from him since the 90's. I do want to give an extra shout out to Johnny and Josh the delivery guys. Their job is super hard and this was not easy to cram that stackable and remove the old set. They went above and beyond doing it and were super nice. I wish I could leave a zero star review. Their extended warranty is a joke. They have a few great people that want to help (Becky, Audrey) and a few that don't seem to care (Jennifer, Angie). I have a fridge from Kitchenaide that is 1 year old and down for the count. Dead compressor they think. Due to covid it is in short supply. ok, fine. But I am down a fridge. Their solution is a compact fridge. But now, a month later I am still out a fridge and no hope in site for a replacement compressor, nor any idea when they could do the repair. I can't imagine I am any closer than three weeks from a fridge. All I want is some acknowledgement of the problem and a planned course of action towards a resolution, not just "wait and see." Requested a call from a supervisor and now its the third request without a call back. You would think they would care more about their customers. Especially, when a customer has been dumping tens of thousand's of dollars into their stores. ugh. Sorry, just venting. Now, I wait. Perhaps my phone will ring with good news... UPDATE..............3 stars.................... I'm updating to a 3-star for now...I received a call from RC Willey and they are going to give me an RMA for my fridge and offered to replace it with any other fridge in the Whirlpool brand. Over the years we have always had a good experience here. We still have the sofa and love seat that we bought about 12 years ago? OK, so it is time for a new set but the quality did not disappoint. We have made about half a dozen purchases, the most recent was a TV stand with a fireplace in the center. The quality is very good and it was very simple to hook up. We got a great deal on this item, it was on clearance for about a third of the regular price. We ordered online and it was ready for pickup at the Reno store in less than a week. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Would definitely shop here again and recommend to others. read more

This store is great. They have everything, prices are reasonable, sales people aren't too pushy, however their customer service is not great. They promise to charge only 20% of your purchase up front and then 80% once received. Well they charged me the whole thing all a once. Now if you manage your cash flow and you're expecting a 20% payment now and 80% 90 days down the road when the items are delivered getting the full charge can really screw up your cash flow. So I went to talk to them about it and the overall response was, well there is nothing that we can do. Sorry. I don't know exactly what they could have done to fix it, maybe offer a couple hundred bucks off my $9k purchase for the financial hardship this has caused? Just the lack of any offering by way of apology really ticked me off. Probably won't go back to this store to buy anything for our brand new house because of this experience . read more

We recently bought a 4 piece kitchen appliance set and Bradly Presson was our sales associate. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He had some brand suggestions for us which were exactly what I thought I didn't want, but once Bradly explained his logic and his personal experience I felt encouraged to rethink my original plan. My husband and I went along with Bradly's suggestions and are very glad we did. Delivery went as promised and we were kept apprised of when to expect the delivery when the truck was delayed 2 hours. We did have a non-standard opening and are working on a replacement for the item that didn't fit. I'm convinced to return to RC Willy for any future appliance or furniture needs. If I could give zero stars I would. After buying a $4,000 fridge from this place they send rude-disrespectful- creepy installation team to the house to hook up the new fridge. Besides Showing up at 8am with an attitude and with no warning when we were told between 9-11 and a heads up before arriving - the guy asked me if I was the only female alone at my house which was so uncomfortable and not ok I had to call my 60 year old uncle to come to my house to keep me company. The creepy installation guy proceeded to tell me he couldn't do what he was paid to do. On top of being lazy his language was outstanding. Dropping f bombs every other second and letting me know loud and clear he "can't do this sh!t so early in the morning " and " the fridge won't fit through the door this is f@$king" ridiculous"- as he proceeded to complain my uncle who has been in construction for 30+ years moved the fridge out of the way and out of the door way within 30 seconds no if's ands or buts. It was incredible the work my uncle did and how lazy this installation crew was- and how stupid they looked having one man twice their age do the work of two men half his age. 'Rc willing to do nothing' has customer service that is absolutely no help, Rude and disorganized people on stand by. They could do nothing and did nothing to reconcile the situation. Then of course with the horrible customer service came the $4,000 defective fridge that doesn't produce ice. So a new fridge had to be reordered and put in a couple weeks later. We were promised a different insulation crew with better service by them specifically. On repair day I open the door to the exact same creepy rude men ready to reinstall the new fridge. I couldn't believe my eyes. They sent the same horrible crew to reinstall the new fridge from the defective. What a horrible company. I highly recommend you go ANYWHERE else. Do not buy a couch from here. This place is a nightmare. I have a 3k couch that nobody wants to sit on. They came out to look at it and said I need to fluff the cushions. Then they agreed to replace the cushions. They never did they were just waiting until the warranty period is up. We showed up early and stood in line for the Memorial Day Sale. My mother is a cancer patient (now cancer free, but still recovering) and a charity paid for a washer & dryer because ours haven't worked since we moved in. We came for the Samsung doorbuster combo, but despite being 9th in line, all 12 of their sets were already sold. That's a little strange, I think, but I guess RC Willey's staff got first crack at them. That cost them half a star. We got in and all the sales associates were busy tending to people who were ostentatiously wealthy. If you were buying an expensive laundry set, associates were on you like obvious lies on a steaming pile of Trump. We were looking at the cheap sets, so no attention for us. It was quite busy though, so I understood what was happening, and despite my mother being quite uncomfortable standing up for 45 minutes, we finally got help from sales associate Travis Hill. I did not deduct any stars for the wait. We selected the Whirlpool Washer & Dryer combo for $349.99 each. They came with 10% off. It said so right on the sign. The first thing Mr. Travis Hill tells us is that the 10% off tag isn't supposed to be there. He then proceeds to remove the 10% off tags from both unit signs. He argued with my mom until she took her hat off and explained that she was recovering from chemotherapy and surgery, and she didn't need this kind of stress. He reluctantly went to draw up our bill of sale with the 10% discount applied. He charged us $20 for a 5' stainless still hose kit, $17 for a dryer kit, $60 for "5 star express delivery" and randomly charged us $80 for "5 Year Dryer Warranty $0 to $1000". We didn't ask for that. We spoke to the cashier at checkout and she was nice enough to remove the erroneous $80. Travis' attempts to overcharge us would've lost a full star for RC Willey, but the cashier who helped us out reduced the loss of stars to another half a star. We had to wait until the following week to get our delivery. When the guys arrived today, they were professional enough, but they delivered a dryer with a handle that is all scuffed to hell and back. (-1 star) They opened our stainless steel hose kit and our dryer kit, used the parts we already had on our old units, and took the new parts with them when they left. Of course, we received no refund for the parts we already had, and now we're stuck with old hoses that could malfunction early from wear. (-1 star) Thanks, RC Willey. From now on, when memorial day rolls around, I'll look at our pre-scuffed dryer door and I'll think about you. Maybe by next year, I'll have enough saved up to buy one of your pre-dropped television sets, too. I can hardly wait. read more

Is zero starts possible? OK I will give it 1 star because the young lady in financing was the only one in the entire store who seemed to know what she was doing. The supervisor in UTAH (customer service after hours) also was able to listen, hear me and resolve the matter. I looked at a couch 3 weeks prior and was never told it was a special order or that it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive, obviously I would have ordered right then if I had been educated on that topic. So I am moved into my new home with nothing to sit on now. They say they will honor a quoted price for 30 days, but only if it is handwritten on one of their write up sheets with the sales associates card attached. I bought an $1800 washer and dryer only to find out they were both on sale but no one knew but me and THEIR sales ad. So I had to ask that it be re-written. I asked for the service plan. That never got put in the sales contract either. Everyone just seemed to be apathetic on doing their job correctly their. The salesman scheduled the delivery. But no one informed me that you don't find out your delivery window until 7 pm the night before and if that window doesn't work for you, when you hit "contact us" and reply it goes into a giant abyss. The delivery people called me and said they were at my home anyways and now I can't get my washer and dryer for another week. Does RC Willey's care? Nope! I called first thing that AM to try to reschedule delivery (they weren't open yet). Call customer service and she can care less that I can't get my purchase for another week. Call again, that lady couldn't care less either and when I ask to speak to a manager, she seems bothered. The lack of customer service is horrid. I don't know if it's strictly the delivery people or not, but I will NEVER use this company again. I've bought furniture from other stores in Reno and had absolutely no problem. I furnished an entire house when I rebuilt my Tahoe home after the Angora fire in 2007--not one problem. This time, I ordered a bed (with drawers at the foot) and 2 nightstands from RC Willey. Sounded pretty simple. The first try (I'm on the fourth try for them to get it right), the delivery guys broke one of the support legs. I thought "Fine, stuff happens." The second time, which took a few months to get done because of backorder, the drawer wouldn't open all the way--the rail was bent somehow. "Well, that's annoying!" The third try was the other day and this time, I'm just livid. The drawers work fine, and the support leg is in place and intact. But it's not the leg that comes with the frame! It's about half the circumference, not the same stain color, and it's too short--doesn't even touch the floor! I truly believe that the delivery guys knew that, too--just tried to hide it by unscrewing the plastic foot almost all the way out! So I called customer service, unsure whether or not I'd demand a refund, and talked to a pleasant young girl who agreed that the situation was unacceptable, then had to put me on hold a total of 4 or 5 times so she could ask how to do something or to check something. I swear she started the job yesterday. So now, I am trying one last time (and canceling plans for the fourth time) to get the thing right. If they screw it up again, I'm getting my money back. 4th of July weekend and I knew the sales were out in force for furniture...at least so I thought. I was in the market for a new couch and loveseat. I had stopped at two competitors earlier in the day. I had a couple items in mind but wanted to shop around because I wasn't really in love with my current options. I had purchased a mattress from RC Wlley several years before when I was on a tighter budget and had a great experience with a reasonable price. Therfore I wanted to see what RC Willey had available this time. When I initially entered I was greeted by a young man seated near the front. I told him what I was looking for and he directed me over to an area. From then it went downhill. As I was zigzagging between sofas, I made eye contact with no less than six sales associates. They smiled and proceeded to stroll right past me. I guess it was the jeans and Spider-Man t-shirt which put them off. I watched where they were going. Only one turned out to be actually working with another customer. The rest were milling about or chatting amongst themselves. A seventh associate came up to me. I explained what I wanted, but when I added "I don't want to go too crazy on price", he pointed over to another area and then walked away. The kicker is I was planning on spending $3000-$5000 but wasn't looking to buy something like a high end leather couch. To add to this experience, they were not even a real contender for my purchase as their holiday sale was woefully short of their competitors' holiday sales. At that point I walked out. The guy up front asked if I found everything ok. When I indicated I couldn't find a sales associate who was interested in my money, he just said "Oh...have a nice day." So RC Willey misses out on my business and now after a short 10 minute conversation, an interior decorator friend of mine is doing me a favor and finding me some furniture on my budget. This situation kills me because I'm a big supporter of buying local to keep our local economy strong. If RC Willey people actually read this, you might want to educate your staff to not sell out of their own wallet based upon customer appearance. I made that mistake a long time ago when working retail electronics. I totally under sold an older guy to get rid of him fast because he was wearing flip-flops, shorts, tshirt, and had a disheveled appearance. It turned out to be one of our local casino owners and he dropped an American Express Centurian card on the counter to pay for it. For those that don't know, those cards are invite only and require annual six figure spending. I learned my lesson that day. read more

That we could instead go through another way- that we would have to pay an extra 6,000 in interest for 18 months..plus the 4,000 for a couch on top! 10,000 for a three piece couch set? But if we paid it off within the 90 days we wouldn't have to pay anything but 500. But if it was past the 90 days- we would pay 500 plus 1500 paid off or not! We were told it would take 20-30 minutes for a credit check but was done in seconds.. I felt like we were being scammed. Because they found out my husband makes good money a month... and didn't go by the credit score but just wanted to take advantage of the money he took home. I had a good experience when I was in store. I spent close to $3K on furniture and had 2 deliveries scheduled. The first delivery was about 3 weeks ago, the dresser arrived damaged!!! The delivery person said he could order a replacement for the broken part. I was understanding. I have called twice since then and there is still no answer regarding when I will receive the replacement! I was supposed to receive ANOTHER delivery tomorrow and I just got a call from them saying the items arrived damaged and they have to re-order the items When I called customer service they said they still don't know when I will receive the replacement for the first item and that they will try to send me the second items by the end of the week. i needed a new microwave for my house and went to RC Willey where we had bought our last microwave. We selected the same microwave as we had before and specified we wanted black stainless steel. They quoted us a price with delivery and installation. We agreed on the price and waited 2 weeks for the delivery. The installers arrived on time and installed the microwave. after they left we realized they delivered and installed a silver microwave instead of the black we had ordered. When we called RC Willey to let them know about the mistake they said it would be a hundred dollars more for black stainless and we would have to pay another instalation fee of $155.00. I told them this was not exceptable and they said thats the way it is. Take or leave it. We left it and closed our account and told them we would never shop there again. This is not the first problem we have had with them. We had some flooring installed and the installer they hired stole from our house while he was doing the job. RC Willeys response to that was we are sorry but we have no control over the contractor and offered no restitution. I'll live in the streets before i buy there again. read more

We had great customer service from the gal helping us in store and the delivery guys were also nice. Im giving one star because of "OSHA laws" they will not take away your old mattress if there is ANY stain on it. I had a mattress protector so my top part is pristine - however - the gentleman delivering the mattress didn't seem very aware that they were hauling away the old one and then said "we'll if there's ANY stain we can't take it" and he literally took out his cell phone flashlight and searched the mattress until he found a small spot on the side at the bottom that looks like rust (my bed has a reddish stain on the wood - so it's most likely from that). I'm kicking myself because I convinced my husband to spend the $70 extra dollars thinking our old mattress wasn't gross or stained and that'd be so much easier to have them haul it away and deliver. No. No it's not. I could have had my mattress three weeks sooner, had great sleep, and saved $70 dollars if I had just done it myself. Now I still have find a way to get rid of the old mattress in my tiny apartment where it's now gracing my living room. So word to the wise - if you're buying a mattress - save your money - just take it home your damn self. They will probably find a spot, unless it's still wrapped in plastic. Disaster company. We are so disappointed. We bought a very nice refrigerator with this company. Less than 6 months later it broke. Under full warranty. They refused to come for two weeks. Once they did they said it needed a new part but eventually said they would need to replace the whole fridge. They finally agreed a replacement date for the fridge after a month of no refrigerator. The delivery people pretended we weren't home and we saw the missed delivery in time to run out and flag down the truck. They hadn't even rung the door bell. Then they refused to bring it in through the garage. Once I showed them with a measuring tape that I'm face the fridge could fit in and out of the door (considering we had brought the original fridge in) they said ok. Then they stood around in our house for 20 mins. Refusing to take off their muddy boots and ruining our carpet. They then said because the fridge was hooked up to water they couldn't remove it. My husband assured them he could unhook and turn off the water. But then they said "Oh, well I'm that case, we can't take it because it needs to be professionally cleaned." It was a clean fridge that smelled bad because it had set there for a month!! It was clean!! So they left. We are still without a working fridge. Please don't purchase anything from this company unless you can physically install it yourself and get it back to the shop yourself for any repair you might need!! read more

Not Good for Dishwasher Install! We made a purchase by telephone, easy peasy. There were no instructions about conditions necessary for dishwasher install other than Yes, they would haul away and Yes, we paid for installation. The day of install, the two RC Willey contracted men (called RR Installations LLC) looked under the sink and said "Oh, no, we can't touch this...liability, liability, blah blah blah." I had a plumber install (for $218.) what RC Willey wanted and 2.5 hours later RC Willey guys were "too busy" to complete the install. Loooong story short, it has taken a great deal of time to fix this problem through two phone calls to customer service. It's a shame that I had to post a bad review because the Salesperson was good and customer service was good; the Delivery part was a Hard Fail. I recommend that you go elsewhere for any appliance or delivery purchase (we still haven't received a furniture item we ordered but that's also a long story.) read more

You know I tend to love RC Willey's, my entire bed set, couch, and tv center are all from this location. I admit me and my spouse are younger and tend to be seen as lower income however that's not the case and our experience today was terrible. We are in need of a new washer dryer and went to go get one, at least a $2k expense. We walked past at least 5 associates never greeted once. No one helped us look, when I inquired about a specific model the gentleman looking it up simply searched it found the price and told us. Nothing else. We bought a bed paying cash, the sales guy was nice but after the order everything was screwed up. First issue #1 the headboard was damaged and they gave a $123 credit. When we went to set up the bed issue #2 the headboard was the wrong size. Issue #3 we now had to pay back the $123 damage credit we had previously received, but they agreed to a $59 credit, but the associate wrote my credit card number down wrong - issue #4 so another on hold phone call. On calling to give my credit card again they run it for the full $123 instead of applying the $59 discount, issue #5. They then say they can only offer a $50 gift card... So after more errors the discount goes down?!? A manager finally stepped in and agreed to a ~$100 credit. We got the bed and thought we were finally done... Not so fast! Surely they couldn't mess anything else up? Of course they can! We have now received a statement for a payment account (which we never signed up for) they've opened for the ~$100 that they were supposed to have refunded us! With their transaction multiple errors someone ran a payment reversal I guess? We now get to call them again and sit on hold again to now get this payment account they've illegally opened cancelled and closed. In short stay clear of this store they are more hassle than they are worth. read more

What an amazing experience. During the pandemic we had a dishwasher fail and after searching all around town RC Willey told us they had one in transit that would fit our needs (panel ready) and that it would be there within 2 months. That 2 months stretched out to well over a year as RC Willey drip fed us bad news after bad news all the time stringing us along. Not only that we had to constantly call and request updates. They were effectively unresponsive with the exception of telling us it remained 2 months away etc. etc. Of course they had our cash this whole time. Eventually we found a replacement elsewhere and received a refund. We will never even consider buying anything at that store again. read more

I can not believe what poor customer service RC Willey have.. My parents purchased a lift recliner and after a short time the chair started breaking down cushions and arm leaning on one side. In March 2021. we had a service person come out and they agreed the chair had issues. Parts ordered 3/2021. Chair still not fixed. One reason they purchase a lift chair was because of medical condition so it would help lift my father out of chair. We have made many calls, I have visited the store, no help. Was told parts on container ship! Should be here soon, must be a slow ship four months. Here is my biggest problem no one answers phone in customer service, I have been on hold today for over two hours. the voice message push 1 to maintain place in line for call back. That doesn't work. I am now on my third purchase from RC Willey. Purchase 1: Adjustable Bed Saved over $5K. Got a quote from Mattress Firm. I'm glad I didn't go with Mattress Firm since they file for bankruptcy. I worked with Leticia who is the mattress specialist. Purchase 2: Carpet TC ran a special for free installation and measure. I had 2 bedrooms and 2 custom cut Masland runners made. They sub-contract their installers, like all the other big companies, and I must say, these installers were the most professional, clean, and detail oriented I've ever experienced. PLEASE DO NOT ever buy carpet from HOME DEPOT. Home Depot installed defective carpet in my home not once..... but TWICE! I worked with Jen in the carpet department. She follows up and is very clear about exactly what pieces in your room they will, and won't move so you are not surprised when they installers arrive. (Another problem I had with HOME DEPOT. Purchase 3: U-line Wine Chiller The only appliance retailer in town is the family owned one. Since they have terrible reviews for their customer service. I don't believe in rewarding companies that don't take care of their customers. So I thought I was left with ordering the U-line on-line. I like to order from a brick and mortar so I called RC just to see if they had an account with U-line. Not only did they say "yes" they could order the unit, they met the Internet Price. The unit arrived on time, even a bit early. I worked with Darryl in the appliance department. He was very thorough and followed up. I didn't even have to go into the store to place the order. read more
