My husband and I were in a tough spot after our original movers (different company) canceled the day of. Matt was able to step in and get everything coordinated quickly. They are clearly a very organized company that has a strong process in place and knows how to run an efficient move. The movers themselves were professional, efficient, and careful with our belongings. You can tell they know what they were doing and take pride in their work. We had a lot of very heavy and/or delicate furniture and tech items (TV, speaker system, etc.) and there was no damage done to anything...I've never had a move where that happened. The whole experience was a great value overall, especially knowing everything was handled so well and given how capable and reliable the team is. We will definitely be using Gentleman Movers again. While the company has attempted to minimize or redirect responsibility for the outcome of this move, my review reflects the reality of what I experienced during and after the service.This was a standard two-bedroom apartment move. One of the bedrooms did not even contain a full bed setup and consisted mostly of packed bags and storage items. A professional moving company should be capable of properly assessing volume during the booking process and dispatching appropriate equipment.Instead, I was repeatedly informed during the move that items would not fit on the truck, which resulted in me personally having to make multiple additional trips in my own vehicle after paying for professional movers specifically to avoid that burden.Regarding my couch. Once it became clear that it would not fit, I did not argue or escalate the situation. I simply asked that it be placed near the trash area after photos were taken documenting that it could not be transported. I accepted the situation and moved on. For the company to later imply they were somehow doing me a special favor by placing the couch near the trash is misleading and inaccurate. That was not an act of goodwill it was part of resolving an issue that arose during a service I had already paid for. Additionally, some of my belongings were damaged while being removed from my apartment and loaded into the truck, which further contributed to my frustration with the overall handling of the move.The failure to properly disassemble furniture . During my booking, I was informed that furniture disassembly and reassembly services were included. However, structural furniture pieces were not properly disassembled. My bar was damaged during the process, and I was even advised at one point to consider throwing it away because the movers could not properly maneuver or disassemble it and there were several items that were either damaged, could not be transported appropriately, or became unusable following the move process. This included furniture and my baby's highchair that had to be discarded afterward. I will be attaching photos so future customers can make their own informed judgment regarding the condition and handling of my belongings after service. Addressing the claim that I "Did Not Speak Up" because I remained calm during a stressful move should not be interpreted as satisfaction with the service! Even one of your Mover seen that I was crying, because my things were being damaged, and that I had to throw away couch ! My priority at the time was protecting my belongings, managing my children, and completing an already exhausting transition not creating confrontation while movers were actively handling my personal property.Customers should not be expected to argue, escalate, or create conflict in order for their concerns to later be considered valid! .I paid the invoice in full, remained respectful throughout the process, and chose to handle my concerns afterward through an honest review. I stand firmly by my experience and by the concerns I originally raised.The attached photos speak for themselves. Future customers should proceed with caution and ensure all expectations They go by the clock and not by effort , truck sizing, disassembly services, and reassembly , and total inventory are clearly documented in writing beforehand.

First of, they didn't clean up the mess, my husband did. Secondly, I never said my old lamp was only $300 or that it was over 20 years old, but of course, I did not have a receipt for it. Thirdly, there are a few very bad reviews on this site, customers should really look up reviews here, especially 'bad' ones because they happen to be true and honest. I had already explained clearly why I was requesting for additional compensation for my broken lamp. There was no replacement for the glass shade that was broken by Jibreel's worker that could be fixed securely on the post. We would have to buy a brand new lamp (post and shade). Don't worry about the additional compensation. It was already written off as 'charity/donation' in my books.

I would not recommend them. They gave me quote for the move in email, & then when they were done jacked the price up by $40.00 extra an hour. They never advised me they were doing this. When I called the owner said she would refund me. Than an hour later sent me an email and said will not refund because her men did their job. You can't give someone a price and than charge higher without advising them. I just wanted to let everyone know so they can pick someone else. Here they asked a lot of questions to make sure they fully understood what was needed and priced accordingly. All of the people were professional and pleasant from the initital contact through the packing and moving team. Everything made it from PA to MA safe and sound so no complaints! Even my picky 9-year old was happy that her legos and stuffed animals were treated with respect. :-) I would highly recommend the Moody team and would definitely use them again.
