I haven't been feeling well for a while and yesterday I hit a new low. I hadn't thought about going anywhere until I stopped by CVS to pickup some prescriptions. I noticed there was next to no wait at the MinuteClinic and decided to sign in. The sign in process was easy and it was great to see that you can now schedule your appointment and save your place in line without waiting. I was greeted by the nurse practitioner named Danielle. She listened to all of my concerns and was super friendly with a great bedside manner. Within about 10 minutes (would have been less if I wasn't so talkative) she figured out the problem and sent the prescription right away to the pharmacy onsite. It was an easy transaction and I am grateful for the convenience during a time where I truly felt terrible and would not have wanted to wait hours to be seen. I highly recommend it. The day was very busy and she was running behind a slight bit and she took the time to let each of us who were waiting know before she took her next patient. She did not make me feel rushed at all when it was my turn in the office. She took her time talking with me and making sure we discussed all options. Went to ER who prescribed oral antibiotics after redoing the x-ray again and stitched me up. Guess you need to be careful what time of the shift you go to this urgent care site because they don't seem very patient centered if it is the last hour of the shift. The ER staff looked very confused when I shared why I had been directed to come. Very frustrating. Hope my insurance will cover the duplicated services.

I had seen this practitioner before and knew I was in good hands. She was thorough and took her time with my daughter. She diagnosed her with the flu very quickly. She kept an eye on her oxygen saturation rate and decided she needed to be checked for pneumonia by urgent care. She checked in with me later that evening to make sure my daughter was ok. I highly recommend this minute clinic.

Basically just sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half watching people who came in after me come and go. I am going to need a covid test after this covid test for the amount of time I just sat there... I would have been better off just waiting the ten days at home with no extra exposure.

On this most recent visit, I went in for…read morethe flu with wheezing (history of asthma) and was given 4 days of prednisone at 50mg once a day, including the day I was there, making the round of meds 5 days. I didn't know 50mg was a high dose. I have only ever had 10mg, but thought they must know best, so I stayed on it and on day three, my blood pressure dropped like a stone and I had to call 911. I was cleared by the EMTs but it was a scary moment. They told me the dosage was too high for the average person. The moral is to always ask about the medication - if they had checked my MyChart, they would have seen what my typical dosage is for when I get sick. I shouldn't have assumed, but I feel like they are at fault too for not being more thorough. The visit was rushed. I was in and out in 20 minutes!
