Awful property management company. True slumlords. They consistently lost paper work I would send them. Repairs took forever. They rented out the house to me knowing that the heat was inoperable/unsafe (this is illegal in NV). From the date I called them to remedy this, it took over two months and snowed two or three times before they got around to it. Should have took them to court, but I am poor and could not afford to. They love to prey on poor people. Highly unprofessional and tons of sneaky fees and overall just a shiesty group of folks. If you're in a position to rent a place that is managed by another property management company - DO IT. We moved to Reno from Vegas which is already stressful, and this awful, unprofessional company made it way worse than it needed to be. They don't call back, gave us misinformation several times (told us the wrong water company to be using, had no clue we might need parking permits, took 8 weeks to put on smart locks we were paying for), and lied several times to us. They really had no idea what to say to us when we had proof of the opposite of what they said. We had been in contact with the homeowner, since they refused to do their jobs - and they asked us not to speak to him? Not sure what planet these people are from, but that's none of their business. Katie and Amber really are unprofessional, rude, and dishonest. They sent us someone else's lease asking for us to sign it - why don't you try paying attention and doing what you're supposed to do for a change? Zero stars if I could. I'm not the type to write bad reviews but I feel like potential renters should know what they're getting into. If I could give this a 0 star I would. This is hands down the worst experience that I have ever had with a rental company. The girls who work in the office are extremely unprofessional and rude. I called MULTIPLE times to complain about my neighbors who blared music super early in the morning and super late at night and the girl at the front desk said "there's nothing I can do". After I gave my 30 day notice they tried to show my apartment while I was still living there even though I had paid through the end of the month. Do yourself a favor and go through LITERALLY any other rental company. read more

Don't waste your time with these amateurs. They don't appreciate you and they certainly have no idea what it means to run a successful business. I called them once to figure out when my move in date was (it was suppose to be a couple days prior to this call) and they person who responded said they didn't know and that they needed to put me on hold to ask. The phone then hung up about 2 minutes later and no one ever called me back. I called the next day and had to repeat the same process. I would have given up on them long ago but I had stupidly already thrown money down to hold the place. That was just the beginning. The entire renting experience was horrible. Our heater died right when it started snowing and it took them 2 freaking months to get anything done about it. Meanwhile their solution was to provide us with extremely high powered small heaters that would have destroyed our electric bill. When we asked if they would compensate for the bill, they said they would, but then they never did. They also told us that winter months were "hard because we have so many houses to take care of". That's fine and all, but the whole point to running a business is knowing your limitations. It seems they know and just don't care as long as they take your money. They also had "gardeners" come and keep our backyard/front yard clean and tidy, except when we moved out they claimed we neglected to take care of our front and backyard. What. The. Fuck. The gardeners hardly ever showed up and did a shitty job on everything. Our neighbor kept our lawn nice and the "gardeners" fucked up his lawn too! He was pissed. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Don't trust those fake 5 stars, Amber will do anything to save face here to trap more unsuspecting victims. read more

Never do any business with this company. Most unprofessional people I've ever meet. I'm renting an apartment that they manage and it's been the worst experience of my life. They hide and cover up damage to make their places look appealing. When you call to get something fixed (if they answer the phone) they always say they'll send someone out and never do, or the go cheap and try and hide it again for the next renters. I've had repair men come to look and they said it has to be completely redone or its not safe to use, but realty thinks it's ok to tell the repair men that they already took care of it so they done come back. I'm currently living with multiple damages in my apartment and they don't seem to think it's a big deal. Plus outrageous prices on rent and deposits. Ridiculous and outrageous! Response to Amber Amber, you are making it sound like we gave your business 10K+ (which you had requested in advance) to handle the turnover of our property and then walked away. There were several occasions when I had asked you to explain the lack of work, timeline of the work and expenses. You talked your way around it and brought in your husband to basically say all tasks were done. After going through the list during our last of many phone conversations, it was confirmed that they were not done in accordance to our original agreement. Then we get this he offered to "stop by" to check in which of course were no shows or sent someone that was complete clueless of what needed to happen. Other occasions where the tenant would come home and notice that someone has been there without giving a notice to them but still nothing was done. We had asked you to refund the amounts for the tasks that were not complete or improperly completed with no response from you. That was the last straw since tenant had moved in already and now your lack of management of the turnover was uncomfortable to us and the new tenant. To add more to the unprofessional ending, having someone from your office bad mouth us to the tenant and offer to move them to another property...seriously? I guess our fees to you to work for us was not as important to you as taking the tenant away from a property owner that is paying you the monthly fees. Shame on you! read more

I was looking for a property management and read all the great reviews on yelp, called and talked to Amber and scheduled and appointment with her. Because my husbands schedule, we made it for lunch time so he can come home and meet her and talk to her about renting our property. Plus I have a 6 month old baby, so easier if she came over and we could show her the house. We have made the appointment the week prior and was looking forward to meeting her. However, she did not show up for our scheduled meeting nor called to reschedule prior. So just to clarify: After waiting for 20 minutes, I had to call her office, I was put on hold and then was told she is busy on the phone. I told the receptionist that I had an appointment with Amber and she didn't show up and that she didn't call me to say she was running late or needed to reschedule and I have been waiting for over 20 minutes. The receptionist said sorry she is busy on the phone, do you want to leave a message and have her call you back?! I was so irritated and frustrated, I told the receptionist "no, just tell her we no longer need to keep this appointment, because my husband needed to leave to go back to work soon" My husband wasted his lunch, and was very upset because if someone who you are hiring doesn't have the courtesy to call to say something came up or will be late. What does that say about them managing your home. Also when I made the appointment She told me over the phone she was going to email me their agreement ahead of time before our meeting so I can look over their policies, because they have lots of paperwork however I never got any such email. I feel that I should write a review because I want other future home owner who is looking for a property manager. Update: Luckily, I found an amazing Property Manager after, Erika from Welcome home. She was timely and always responsive and when she is running late or what not I always either got a call, text or email. read more

Buying a house is a big deal and I'm so thankful for Amber's help through it all. She took the time to get to know us, carried our best interests in mind, was flexible, and offered help and guidance at important times. I appreciated her being knowledgeable, professional, and caring, and being available when we needed her. We hit some snags in the process, things out of our control, but she went above and beyond to help move the process through, and without exaggerating I can say she was absolutely instrumental in keeping things moving forward. You try to justify your incompetence and really there is no excuse for the way you run your business. I didn't even read your comment because it's pointless. So good luck to you on finding future business when people can read for themselves that you have NO RESPECT for your clients. Here are a few reasons why I would NEVER recommend doing business with Realty Boulevard from the tenants stand point: 1st- They are completely incompetent. My washing machine would not drain, I had to call realty boulevard once a day until the work order was entered into the system to be repaired. That was a whole week just for the work order to be submitted, then I had to wait multiple days for someone to call to make an appointment to come out and fix it. 2nd- If you need to talk to a specific person, they are guaranteed: out of the office, out to lunch, in meeting, left work early, had a family emergency, had an appointment etc,. The front desk will ensure you that the person will call back tomorrow... but don't hold your breath! You could call the next day but you will hear one of the previous listed excuses. 3rd- Good luck trying to get your security deposit back from them! Legally in Nevada landlords/property management companies have 30 days to give you back your deposit. It took Amber 18 days AFTER her 30 days were already up, to write the damn check. We had to wait 48 days after moving out of the property to receive our deposit back. I called them multiple times a week within those 48 days letting them know we needed our money, and NOT ONCE DID ANYONE CALL ME BACK. I had to call them every single time. The front desk would tell me Amber will call you back tomorrow or Wednesday, and of course she would not call me back, it's realty boulevard! Even after delivering a demand letter stating we wanted our money by a certain date, no one called me. Once we were able to get a hold of Amber she was rude on the phone, practically daring us to take her to court for OUR money. I have 50 more examples of realty boulevard's staff and Amber's incompetents and laziness, but I'm not going to waste any more of my time on Realty boulevard. You can see for yourself on this yelp page what kind of business Amber is running; Amber aggressively replies to all negative reviews. We are currently renting a home in Carson from this agency and have had a horrible experience. The house is not kept up to code and we have had to come out of pocket to make sure the house did not catch on fire due to faulty wiring. Almost every maintenance request we have submitted has been ignored. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Let me start off by saying plain and simple, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. First of all they have inspections twice a year. I understand the importance of checking in on property appearance and upkeep, it's the fact they do it in the most illogical and frustrating way possible. First, they send you a rude and demanding letter by mail a week beforehand, leaving multiple possibilities of missing the letter completely (lost in the mail, delivered to the wrong address, somebody taking it out of the mailbox). No email, no phone call, just a letter. Second, they give a time frame of 8am-5pm, so if you don't want them to just GIVE YOUR KEY OUT to some guy who will be in your house BY HIMSELF you have to take the entire day off of work to wait for him (and even if you lock your dog up there's a chance the inspector will get scared and leave...). Third, there is a $100 fee if they can't complete the inspection that day, no rescheduling. Period. Next, the door to our ONLY bathroom broke. They said they would put it in as an emergency work order (once we finally got a hold of them that is). Luckily this was at the end of our lease so we only had a door-less bathroom for a week before we were able to move out. ONE WEEK WITHOUT A BATHROOM DOOR! (thanks for putting it in as an emergency...). If you want to get something done in a decent time frame call a repairman and pay out of your own pocket, otherwise it will NEVER get done. Lastly is their unbelievably terrible customer service. No one ever calls back. Work orders don't get put in even when they tell you they did, so be prepared to call over and over again. The owner is the most unprofessional woman I have ever dealt with. I'll be surprised if they stay in business for much longer. read more

This was my roommates' and my first time renting an apartment, and Realty Boulevard made it very easy for us to find a place we loved and get moved in in a timely manner. Mandie was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. She was able to get all of our applications (five people) approved in four days, and we signed the lease and moved in within a couple weeks after being approved. She was able to answer all of our questions, and was very personable and easy to work with and talk to. Awful. I called over five times, they didn't return my call. I emailed repeatedly, they didn't reply. I made four appointments on their online scheduling service, they canceled everyone without any explanation. This happened repeatedly on all modes of communication. After all that, I even gave them one last chance to respond to me by emailing a different email address provided on their website, but surprise!, no response on that one either. They didn't want me as a customer, and they were sure to let me know it. They are more concerned about what people on yelp say about them than their actual customer service, (and apparently that is what they spend their work hours on because they certainly aren't answering calls or emails,) as I had a more generic (but the same content) review posted here, which they had removed. read more

For starters, we have a bit of a weird situation. In fall we found out my husband had a broken back and by January he was getting medically discharged from the army up in Alaska. We are currently staying in California with his parents and decided Reno seems like where we are wanting to live. Anyway, we were only in Reno for 2 days, so we were in quite a time crunch to look at houses/apply for them. We called Realty Boulevard twice in the morning - the phone system was a little confusing but after leaving a voice-mail and not getting a call back we decided to swing by their office. The sign on the door said be back at 2 pm (which is no problem at all - we should've stopped by the office in the first place). Upon entering the office after 2, it was clean and had a very professional look to it. The receptionist and the other girl next to her were very friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us throughout the application process for a house we really liked located near UNR, and we payed the 1/2 deposit to hold the property. She asked if we had any other questions, and told us that we should expect a call early next week. We've had rude, unprofessional property management before, on military installations, where they would surveil our house trained, quiet, friendly pups, and wouldn't take action against problems with other tenants next to us (such as our old neighbors aggressive dog jumping our fence daily and having attacked ours on four separate occasions). The other yelp reviews we read on the way made us wary, however we didn't get this vibe at all; the staff we did have interaction with was very friendly and are hoping we get the house we applied for. My only suggestion is, in addition to the setting up appointment time to view properties, is to have the call go to a receptionist first, or something similar, and possibly checking voicemail and calling people back (again not a big issue as it seems they were at lunch) Other than that no complaints, we were very pleased with them. read more

I normally do not leave reviews but I just want to make sure that other potential renters are aware of the risks. I don't want to use this review to call anyone out or rehash the bad experiences because it won't change the fact that I had a horrendous experience with them. They provided me with an inexpensive place, so they served their purpose but it was not without frustration, anger, and disappointment. If you are able to find somewhere else to rent, then I would strongly urge you to do so. The quality and consistency of their service is definitely in question considering the range of their reviews and my own personal experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND REALTY BOULEVARD. The front staff is very rude and cannot answer any questions within a timely manner. I called and have been working with this company to not only get answers about service that needed to be done in my home but also my move out date and security deposit, it has been an ongoing battle. I myself work in a professional environment and have never come across such disgusting attitudes. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I asked the receptionist what was her estimate of having a manager call me back on an issue she was giving me a run around on and rudely responded that she needed to take another call then deal with me issue. I asked for Jocelyn specifically because she is kind and can answer my questions. I repeated back to her so you need to take another call because you do not want to deal with mine? She HUNG up on me. Although I didn't buy the house from her (my wife used a client of hers to show us more homes), Amber remained professional and reminded me if I ever needed anything else, she'd still be happy to help. I am a tough person to deal with sometimes in the sense that I like businesses like rental companies to treat me with respect when I am paying them rent or if I am in a restaurant I expect the service I am paying for. I am certainly not a snob, but when it's my money I expect to get what I pay for. Realty Blvd have gone above and beyond for me since I move into my rental. They have treated me with respect and if ever there has been an issue they have gotten on with resolving the issue in good time. I think the number one reason I give Realty Blvd 5 stars is because of their communication... they respond to me so quickly and even at times when I cannot be on the phone due to work, they communicate with me via e-mail! If you are looking to buy a home maybe this company does a good job. However if you are renter to do not work this this company. They only care about getting money from renters and not up keeping their properties. The only competent employee in that office is the accountant, other than that they seems to go through staff every couple months. I have regrettably rented with this company for the last 3 years at the same location. I've dealt with rent hikes, broken "hand shake" deals(because they refused to put the terms in my lease) outrageous fees, numerous eviction threats because of their incompetence(not accounting for rent that had already been paid, going back on "payment plans" for their fees)I could go on and on really but my latest complaint is with their "maintenance hotline".I've spent the last 3 days without a working toilet and have called repeatedly to put in a work order. When I call to find out the status or how soon I can expect someone to show I get the same answer "I see your work order here, I'll make sure to tell the property management" yet here we are day 3 with no working toilet. I don't think this is a large or outrageous request but somehow it's being treated as so. Stay far, far, far, far, away from this company. They are a greedy, joke and could care less about their tenants. read more

Renters Beware! If you rent a home through Realty Boulevard's Property Management, be sure to document EVERYTHING that is not normal. Consider hiring an outside inspector. We had 15 minutes for our move-in inspection, missed some areas where the landlord repainted using a different sheen of paint, only to be charged to repaint all the rooms upon moving out. I feel like they took advantage of me to pay for normal maintenance. read more

As a property owner in need of management I had a terrible experience with Realty Boulevard. There was work and cleaning that needed to be done and they did not schedule it in a timely manner then did not inspect the cleaning done which was not satisfactory. The estimate to repair was not done for weeks and was overpriced. My swamp cooler was stolen and they did not even notice. Phone calls to the office were not returned and when I met with Amber and complained about the service she made a rude remark about my calling too much. If the calls were returned I wouldn't have left another message. She did let me out of the contract after nonperformance but did not refund the full amount. She changed the utilities before renting the place out and removed my standing orders which cost me to have them returned to my name and while this was in the contract the misinformation I received from her staff let me know they were /are not experienced property managers. I lost a two months rent and could have lost the home. read more

We found this unit on Zillow, the property had been available for several months. We toured the unit, brought our concerns to the staff prior to an application and got a staff member that looked at us with a glazed look in her eyes, who didn't seem to understand what days of the week it was. The day we moved in the property had worsened in condition and we walked into feces in one of the bathrooms, among several other inconveniences. We had notified staff immediately and submitted our move inspection within a week. We let over 2 weeks pass without contact before reaching back out to resolve the problems with the property and were accused of not turning in our move inspection. I have proof of dropping off the inspection with the receptionist that does not even have a clue to what a "lease agreement" is. I will never recommend this company and their services to anyone, they are extremely unorganized and unprofessional to put it politely. Paying over $2500 in move in costs for a home that has feces in the bathroom that has not been lived in, in over 3 months is UNACCEPTABLE and should be reported to the state. read more

I appreciate the courtesy of getting call backs the same day and the peace of mind of not having to worry about how my home is being managed by Realty Blvd., since I live out of town. My only issue is when I called the office recently about a flooding issue caused by a broken drip system pipe in the backyard. I was contacted by the assoc. president (where my home is located), who was having trouble trying to reach Amber. I know with today's technology, businesses are trying to be more efficient with routing incoming calls, however when you have a time sensitive issue you're trying to resolve and want to speak to someone, then have to listen to all the options before finally getting to the last option of speaking with the receptionist, only to get the message she's 'not available at this time' & to 'leave a message', it's frustrating. I was going into a meeting and needed to reach Amber ASAP, so I texted her and got an immediate call back assuring me it would be taken care of that day. Not only did Amber take care of it, but later texted me confirming that the repair was being done. Now that's what I call EXCELLENT customer service! read more

Like all of the other one star reviews - it's pretty much the same story. Long story short after being homeowners for several years and due to economy tanking we had to rent a home for a few years Luckily we found a pretty standard home in the northwest area which also allowed our two large dogs. We met with Amber, who at the time in 2011, was pretty much just starting her property management business, Realty Blvd. I thought she was nice, and I was grateful that the homeowner had no problem with our animals. Amber came over the night before we moved into the home and she took several pictures of the property which had prior defects such as missing light bulbs in bathrooms, chips in tile countertops, horrible - I mean horribly pet stained carpet which was almost 20 years old and other mishaps which were documented. The carpet did gross me out so I decided to have it re-cleaned and I couldn't be too picky because of our dogs. We signed a 2 year lease and ended up extending it until we were able to buy a new home again. Upon moving in, I noticed that while the carpets had marks on them like they were cleaned, it didn't appear to be a professional job because prior to us moving our furniture in, I vacuumed and while vacuuming I was picking up tons of nails, screws and other miscellaneous stuff. Where did that come from and why? I texted Amber about it. Other things I noticed that weren't cleaned well was the jacuzzi tub. Once I turned on the jets out came HUGE chunks of black greasy gunk along with long strands of black hair!! Yuck!! So grossed out I couldn't get out of the tub fast enough. Therefore, I had to thoroughly clean that tub & jets. During our time in the home as expected there would be issues that came up which needed immediate attention. One huge irritating thing was that in our rental agreement we had professional landscapers which came every two weeks on Tuesday's at a set time. Sounds great right? Wrong! I think they showed up on time maybe once. Rather it was whenever they felt like it or they wouldn't show at all. They also didn't address broken sprinklers where we had put in work order requests countless times. Also a diseased lawn in the front of the home. As with the other negative reviews when my husband or I called Realty Blvd no one would call us back. Luckily we had Amber's personal cell # we utilized quite a bit due to the lack of response from her business. Very frustrating as a renter to report big problems like an oven that didn't work for approximately one year and a broken water heater in the middle of winter. When we didn't get anywhere with her employees my hub would text Amber and he would get the standard response of "I had no idea!" Or "sorry" The home had a home warranty and when the oven issue was finally addressed a repair person came out 4 times, but it still didn't work ruining a few of our holidays. A few other things which I thought were discourteous for the tenant were the annoying letters from Realty Blvd which would typically arrive the day before their annual "inspection" of the property with a threatening and snippy note that said the tenant would be "fined" if the staff couldn't access the property. It was on their schedule, no exceptions. Another thing is that the tenants were required to pay rent online and if you chose to drop off a check you would be assessed a $15 fee. Rude. Despite all the issues we had we bit our tongues and gave Amber proper notice, cleaned the disgusting 20 year old carpeting, and had the home professionally cleaned. We dropped off the keys timely and notified Amber that after our move out the utilities and water would be taken out of our name. About a week after our move, we then received a move out inspection sheet completed by one of the staff which talked about things like the garage doors not opening and water not coming on. Well we told Realty Blvd that we weren't going to keep paying for water and utilities when we moved out!! Duh. Also on the move out inspection sheet there were things listed like "large crack in patio." Really??? So that's our fault when it happened 5 years before we moved in from an earthquake?! Seriously upsetting to get this useless list of things that were "wrong" with the property that had zero to do with us as these issues were there before we moved in. Further per NRS the landlord is required to provide the tenant the security deposit from 30 days of move out. That too was a cluster as we received the first check from Realty Blvd which was half of our deposit by the way, late and not endorsed! Then we notify Realty Blvd that the check wasn't endorsed so they mailed another check to our old address! When it was all said and done we got our check very late. I know Amber will probably try to defend all that I said but honestly I have no interest in reading it. I feel truly sorry for the tenants. read more

I lived in that specific apartment for a number of years. When I had my son at the end of June 2014 the a/c broke and they refused to fix it. Then my then boyfriend (now my husband) got attacked by a guy living there with his girlfriend in one apartment and his brother in another. They refused to do anything about it, even though I showed them pictures and videos of what the guy and his brother did there. The brother would pass out drunk in the middle of the walk way and the guy would threaten other tenants and scream while high on drugs. When I gave my notice they tried making me sign a paper saying that if they showed my apartment I couldn't say why I was moving out because it would make them look bad and still asked if I could write a good review on social media. After I moved out they kept avoiding my calls to go do a move out walk through. I gave up after 2 months since it was only 350. I also felt like I count keep track of who said what since there was new people working there every few months so everyone I called they kept saying different things and saying they could follow through with what the lady person said because they weren't there anymore. read more

Beware of this property management company. They will do everything in their power to use up all your security deposit by creating bogus expenses. And the Manager is nowhere to be found. All dealings are with the receptionist. Pathetic! read more
