Wife and I stopped in after reading the reviews, what a disappointment. I ordered the pastrami, since so many people said it was the best, well it's far from being good. They warm it up on a flat top grill and it just dries it out and makes it crunchy. Wife had the pork sandwich and it had a funny taste, the sauce was ok but nothing great. It doesn't compare anywhere close to TX, NC, or Southern BBQ. Our meal for 2 including soft drinks was $34.00, wasn't worth it, should have gone to DelToco across the street or Jack-in-Box Won't stop again. read more

Very tasty brisket sandwiches as far as flavor. Wife's sandwich was generous but taking one star away because husband's sandwich was somewhat less generous. As is usually the case, the bad reviews are what prompted me to check this place out. I read the one and two star reviews and marvel that they still have an overall four star rating. The reason is obvious, this place is AWESOME. I got the meat platter. My wife got pulled pork. We have a lot of BBQ in Phoenix Nd we've also eaten BBQ in Memphis and Kansas City. I grew up in the Carolinas, and road trips always meant trying the local BBQ. This place is different than Carolina style, but the meat and slaw took me back. I was less than impressed. Poor listening and communication skills as I placed my order and gave me the wrong thing. The Ortega sandwich comes with Onion Rings on top and they didn't bother to inform me when as I placed my order that they were OUT of onion rings. And THEN it didn't have the green chili on it either. The bread was TWICE as big as the meat portions. I spent $17, and feel like it was worth about $5. They offered me nothing for there lameness. Right off the freeway in Blythe! The is great with outdoor seating the the service was awsome and very friendly. The owner also greeted us, that was a nice touch. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese and beans. The meat was tender, the bread roll was extremely soft. The mac and cheese was some of the best I have ever had and the beans were great too. All around A great experience, and they're homemade barbecue sauce was fantastic. I try not to abuse 5 star ratings, but this place is definitely 5-stars. Service was great and friendly. The food rocked. It is a place where you order at the counter and they bring it to you. They have a decent beer selection or free refills on soda and tea. We had the meat plate which comes with really good pulled pork and pulled chicken. Then you get your pick of another meat. The brisket is stellar; tough to find better brisket. The pastrami is the best I have ever eaten. It was fairly lean too. All their sides are homemade. We had the Mac and cheese, again it was some of the best I've had. I want to try the beans. The meal also comes with outstanding garlic bread. I can't say enough good things about this place. The funny thing is that it is right next door to McDonalds. McDonalds was crowded with people making poor choices that night. Love this place :-) read more

Our family was heading back to California from our yearly vacation out at Lake Pleasant Az when I decided I wanted to stop for a quick bite to eat. We were approaching Blythe so I Immediately went to Yelp to see what was near by. Rebels BBQ had such great reviews I just had to stop. Everything was great. Food Service and Price was all 5 stars. I am so happy we chose to stop here on a trip through the hot desert. The staff was so friendly and SUPER accommodating for our dog. They brought an oversized bowl of water and dog treats to our outside table to make it as comfortable as possible for our golden doodle. AMAZING!! Nothing rebellious here! The meat was grilled, at best, not barbecued. Tasteless pulled pork, and tasteless beef brisket. BBQ means smoked meat, with flavor embedded within the meat. The meats had no flavor at all. Well, I thought I can add some flavor using their BBQ sauce. WRONG! Small little place with only about 5-6 tables inside and a few tables outside. Not bad looking. Some interesting options in te menu including the two that we got today: pulled pork BLT and "Good as hell" burger; both with a side of mac and cheese. When we walked in there was no one else I the place. We ordered and the place started filling up. Both sandwiches came out quickly. I personally ordered the "good as hell" burger. This was a burger topped with onions and jalapeño peppers with pepper jack cheese, and loaded with pulled pork all on a hoagie roll. The flavors worked great together and I really enjoyed it. I also got to try a bite if the pulled pork BLT and it was great. Nice thick bacon and the bread was perfectly roasted. Lastly the mac and cheese. This was good enough that even if the sandwiches were bad this would have been worth the stop. read more

This is like a fast food bbq place. I ordered the pastrami sandwich with potato salad. The meat was flavorful and tender. All that comes on the sandwich is meat and bun mustard on the side. The potato salad was creamy but nothing special. We also had order pulled pork, a hamburger and beef brisket. Th additional $1.75 for steak fries is too much. The beef brisket was slightly overcooked and dry. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The burger was a burger. The thing that bugged me the most was we ordered our food at the same time and it came out at different times. So my youngest actually got his food last. Not good.
