I had wanted to check this place out since my family came for Christmas last year. I think we…read moremissed the hours when they were here, so I took advantage of my trip to Midway yesterday to check it out. What a cute place with lots of local goods including cheese, snacks, vinegars, bottled milk (old school... I loved getting my milk like this when I was younger), and ice cream! I wanted to buy some cheese, but it was so hot yesterday, I didn't want it to spoil before I got home. I went with some white peach balsamic vinegar and indulged in a scoop of Aggie Mint Ice Cream . It could have been a tad more minty, but still so yummy! I even got a cute cow sticker to put in my junk journal! I'll be getting cheese on my next trip to Midway, and will be prepared with a little cooler to secure the goods! Thanks for having all the cheese and jam samples to try, so I know what to get next time!

We stopped here on the way to the crater because everything we read said it was a must stop…read more Honestly, I don't really get the hype. The store is pretty small. They had a good selection of handmade cheeses, and the ice cream looked really good, but it wasn't homemade like we expected. Looking back, I think this place is probably more about the tour. We didn't do it, and I have a feeling that's where the experience really is. So if you're planning to stop, I'd recommend doing the tour. Otherwise, it's a quick stop, and I probably wouldn't go out of my way just for the store.

We went to here for dinner last night. The prices were reasonable, the portions were huge, and the…read moreservice was good. We rented an Alpenglobe, which costs an additional $35 for the weekdays and $50 for the weekend. It's one of those temperature controlled outdoor bubble structures that has a cute chandelier inside. We had fun, and the rain in the background made it even more fun. For appetizers, we shared the Bruschetta, which was well crafted and had good flavor. I had the Quattro Formaggi pizza with pepperoni added, which tasted amazing. My husband loved his Lasagna, which matched the description of "Meaty and American." My daughter scarfed down her spaghetti and garlic bread. We paired our meal with a bottle of Pino Grigio. My husband loved his Tirimisu as well, and my daughter got the largest "small" portion of ice cream that I've ever seen. Our meal came out to around $150 before tip, which wasn't bad for all the food we ordered. We left with a few boxes of leftovers. We'll be back.
