Came here alone my first afternoon in Barcelona and drastically over-ordered because I assumed the dishes were expensive tapas, so got grilled vegetables, mini hamburgers and some kind of traditional Barcelona raw fish thing - showing the mix of food available here which is influenced by what I think is an Italian owner and somebody's love for hamburgers. All were really good, especially the hamburgers. You could really taste the freshness of all the vegetables and salad accompanying each dish (mostly rocket, my fave, plus beautiful little tomatoes). Owners seemed to be having some sort of domestic which was entertaining if a bit weird. I notice this place was always buzzing so clearly is popular locally. read more

Great place, delicious food and an extremely friendly staff. They have both, Spanish and English menu's and their staff speaks fluent English. Place seems to attract a local crowd as well. Plays amazing music ;) Highly recommend stopping here on your way or back from the beach. read more

Stopped in on my travels as I headed toward the coastal area of Barcelona. Rebelot definitely has some rustic charm that fits given it is so close to the beach. The staff was very friendly and they had an amazing old school hip hop soundtrack on when I came. Apparently they only use locally sourced ingredients. The whole place had a cool beach vibe to it. Sangria - One of the better glasses of Sangria I had on my trip to Barcelona Fired Potatoes - Big thick cut potatoes lightly fried and salted handsomely. Pretty much like thick cut fries Chicken Club - It's a chicken club, nothing too fancy but it was fresh and tasty Roast Duck Special - I am a fan of duck and enjoyed the dish. Since all other places where literally full, we decided to go this place. I would say the quality of food was good - we ordered Gambas de Barceloneta (shrimps), Calamari, and steamed mussels. We also order the bread with tomato, but it was a bit too salty for our taste. The place was almost full and very busy when got there. Other than, the severs where nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend anyone to give this place a try. read more

This place is so cute and absolutely perfect! The tapas are delicious, great service and the price is right! They have Spanish and English menu which made it nice to know what to order. We had the tomato toast, teriyaki string beans, fish of the day (so fresh), stuffed sweet peppers and oysters. How is it possible, but we even had 2 desserts the Creme de Catalina and Kiveve on helando de coco. Wow everything is farmed or caught within 100 km which you can taste the freshness. You will not be disappointed here and close to the beach! read more

I enjoyed this spot. It's a small, cozy space and doesn't seem too touristy. They have a nice menu that offers both seafood and meat options. Decent wine list. The servers are all very nice and attentive. I would recommend this spot if you're around the area. read more

Excellent little restaurant. We were trying to go to the restaurant next door but there's was a wait and we were starving so we saw the Yelp ratings for Rebelot and decided to try it. It was empty when we got in and ordered a few things:duck breast, octopus, anchovies, mini lamb burgers, Catalan sausage with squids. All were excellent. Also the coffee was incredible. This place is great. Fresh sustainable food at affordable prices. We ate here every day in Barcelonetta. Chill vibe, nice staff, good drinks and really nostalgic 90's/2000's r&b. If you are between 26-34 you'll get a kick out of all the throwback songs. You can get 2 drinks, 2/3 apps, split an entree and dessert for $50! All fresh and really good! Zero km ingredients is their goal. Great slow-food with wide variety of vegan and seafood tapas. The sangria was best of our trip, and had passion fruit slice! We started with an Oyster each and beer on tap. The avocado and shrimp was in a mound of tart lettuce (I added my own jalapeños that I carry in a jar). The magret of duck was also a delicious mound with honey mustard. Our last tapa was a squid and sausage on a bed of hummus. As in many eateries in Spain, you have to order a side of bread separately, but Rebelot did not charge us for it. Our waitress was quick and kind except when we ordered our Sangria as an afterthought. She expertly moved us to a beautiful ceramic tiled table when it became available. Finding Rebelot! was by chance for us, no pre-planning. They are on the main square of Barceloneta's food market. The music was American pop, BeeGees and Michael Jackson but they allowed two street musicians, who probably go from bar to bar, to play a song for tips. I wish there were Six-Star reviews! This is such an amazing find! Small, cozy, funky and artistic. Great vibe and great tunes and the best meal we have had so far in Barcelona- and we were at a Michelan starred restaurant. We were a party of 8 so we had the great opportunity to try a lot of the menu. Our party included a vegan and a lactose intolerant person and everyone ate well and ate a lot. Highlights included the squid, chorizo and hummus; the bread with tomato; the lamb and veggie burgers and the mussels. The cocktails- both alcoholic and non alcoholic where outstanding! PS: the vegan was lured to the dark side and couldn't resist a bite ( or two) of the creme Catalan- resistance is futile! The food and service were second to none. Considering the hole in the wall location the place is a jewel! The Freshness of the cuisine(duck, muscles, shrimp, shredded pork...etc) and the accompanying background music sound track mixed with martini's well lets just say this place is on my world wide eat at list going forward. read more

Amazing restaurant! We initially tried to go to the restaurant next door but it had a long wait time so we walked over here. It was a bit small but so lively and we got a table immediately despite the restaurant being really busy. The staff were incredibly nice and the food was unreal! We split a pitcher of sangria (delicious of course), the quinoa salad and a burrata burger. The quinoa salad was delicious and the burrata burger was heavenly. A literal cheeseburger that just melted in your mouth. Overall amazing experience and I would recommend to anyone looking to get a quick but incredible and lively dinner. read more

Have been coming here often, and the food never fails. Last night had the seafood platter, and the shrimps, mussels, calamari etc were grilled perfectly, also bacalat tartare was delicious. Our glasses of Sangria were huge and tasty. Everything about this small restaurant is good, except for the somewhat sour waitress who could learn to smile. However, the male waiter was wonderful and accomodating. Plus, the prices, were less than 50 Euros for drinks, and 2 entrees and an appetizer. read more

Dropped in to Rebelot alone on my first afternoon in Barcelona. Super friendly staff, despite mi muy mal español. Ordered the Rebelot burger - delicious lamb cooked to perfection! Went here on July 29th, 2015 for dinner with my cousin and friend. The food was alright not spectacular but it was good. Waitress was not friendly but not rude either which I didn't really mind. We had to harass them for the wifi password when it is advertised out front that they have wifi, but we had to ask for password at least 3 times. Our bill came to €40 but we were splitting it 3 ways and my friend wanted to pay €10 in change to get rid of it. The owner then made a scene in front of everyone that was there- repeating, "this is not money!!" and telling us to go somewhere and exchange the change for a bill. Saying that he would not accept it and continuously shouting "this is not money" and being overall very rude and disruptive drawing attention to us- all the other customers were staring. I have never been treated like this as a customer before in ANY country he was basically publicly humiliating us, I have had to count much more change than that as a cashier before HAPPILY. We were trying to explain the whole time that we weren't trying to pay the whole order in change only €10 but he kept cutting us off and being extremely rude. When he finally realized he did not apologize or even say anything he just disappeared into the kitchen and let the waitress count the change and put the rest on credit. While she was counting the change he came back out and said something like "see now she has to count all this" like wth yes that is her job?! and it still didn't take her longer than 30 seconds....much quicker than the fuss he made lasted... After he left again she gave us free shots but no verbal apology whatsoever from any of the staff. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and so disrespectful and demeaning. I would rather not go somewhere as a paying customer and then be scolded as if I was doing something wrong when the staff are just being picky. Was shocked that it was the OWNER that treated us like this but then again, who else would be allowed to!! read more

We stumbled upon this place late in search of dinner because the previous restaurant had messed up our reservation. It was perhaps 11:45 pm and we saw the kitchen being busy and food going over the counter, so I stepped in to ask the waiter if we could still get dinner. He said yes, but no dessert since the kitchen would close soon. We were happy, settled in and quickly studied the menu. After around three minutes, we started to try to get the attention of one of the two waiters (who were standing at the bar, laughing with other customers). We were ignored for about fifteen minutes, after which I finally managed to get hold of a waiter who was on his way to a cigarette break. He looked at us and gestured "no" and went to get the waiter who originally had promised us food. This guy came over and told us that there was no food and that the kitchen was closed!?!? We were really upset at this point, and the waiter didn't even apologize, but rudely said that he "didn't have three hands, what should he do". This experience ruined what had already been a not-so-successful evening and we had to get food from a supermarket not to go hungry. read more
