I really hate to say this but I need to prevent others from wasting their money on inedible food. This is the worst bbq I have had in my whole life (previously a record held by a place in PA circa 2018). I don't even know how this is called bbq. Unfortunately this is yet another really bad restaurant in this location that seems to turnover. The space is huge and spacious yet feels empty. The beer itself is drinkable but very average. I had a flight and I wouldn't drink a pint of any of the four beers I tried. The nitro stout was flat with no head. I drank beer at the bar while I got food to go- which was the $30 meat platter. I don't like coleslaw or potato salad, which are the sides they make you get with your order. If you upgrade, you can get only one side... fries OR a salad. The bartender convinced me I would like the coleslaw and the potato salad because they were "different". The coleslaw- tasted like cold cabbage with a hint of cumin. Strange to taste no vinegar in a vinegar based slaw. The potato salad- who would've guessed? The lady that doesn't like potato salad unless it's warm German potato salad didn't like the bland, overly dill flavored, aioli based potato salad. The bartender said this was "east coast" potato salad. It's literally potato salad. The worst part? The meat!! None of it had any smokiness or flavor. I got it to go and they drizzled about 1/2 of a liquid ounce of sauce on each meat. The brisket tasted like someone put a brisket in a crockpot for 14 hours. It was dry and had no fat. The pork was the same- as if it was sitting in a slow cooker for hours but watery Mushy and flavorless. The chicken was a chicken thigh dried to heck. The portions? Each side is the size of a small dressing ramekin. Pro tip- go to Snooks Bottom BBQ in GJ. It is actual authentic BBQ. Rib city for some average bbq cheaper and better than this just a mile away. When we're blown away by a restaurant we like to return to make sure there's consistency of product, so we went to Reckless again tonight. WOW!!!! This time we ordered the Cobb () again, the truffle hand cut fries AND the Reuben ( brisket!!!!!!!!!!!!)....OMG! This place is REALLY, REALLY AMAZING! Arielle was a PERFECT server. She was attentive and extremely kind. Atmosphere is what it should be! But the food.....it's close to heaven! If you're in Fruita, you need to support this wonderful business!!!! Great beer, great food, great people! My wife and I stopped at Reckless Brewing while we were in Fruita and this place was awesome. We started with the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers that came with a homemade jam -- probably the best I've ever had. You can tell they make a lot of stuff from scratch here, and it really shows. For dinner, we split the dry rub chicken wings and the Brewhouse Mac and Cheese with pulled pork on top. Both the wings and pork are smoked in-house, and honestly, they nailed it. The wings had an awesome flavor and the mac and cheese might've been the best we've ever had -- super creamy and packed with smoky flavor. I had the Darth Lager, which is one of their own brews. It's a dark amber with a really smooth taste -- definitely one I'd come back for. Josh was our bartender/server and he was the man. Super friendly, attentive, and clearly loves what he does. He even let us try some of his homemade amaretto and root beer -- both legit. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town. Absolutely incredible experience at Reckless Brewing in Fruita! My husband and I stopped in for dinner and were blown away from start to finish. We started with the jalapeño poppers -- wrapped in bacon and served with the most delicious homemade jam. You can tell almost everything on the menu is made from scratch, and it makes all the difference. For dinner, we shared the 1lb dry rub chicken wings and the Brewhouse Mac and Cheese topped with pulled pork (both smoked in-house). The wings were phenomenal -- perfectly smoky and seasoned -- and the mac and cheese was hands down the best we've ever had. Creamy, flavorful, and unforgettable! My husband tried the Darth Lager (a tasty dark amber brewed right there), and I had a margarita that Josh -- our bartender and server -- made from scratch. It was so good I ended up ordering two! Josh was an absolute gem: friendly, attentive, and so passionate about what he does. He even let us sample his homemade amaretto and root beer -- both incredible! Truly, what can't this man do? We'd come back just to see Josh again. His hospitality and talent made the night extra special. As for some of the negative Yelp comments about the menu names -- honestly, we didn't find anything offensive at all. The atmosphere was fun, laid-back, and welcoming. Update: 2nd visit, ordered the same as 1st visit. There was very little pork on the sandwich and 1 slice of ham. it was like eating a bread sandwich. The potato salad was flavorless and dry. The Cole slaw was bland and clearly had been made several days in advance. Was so disappointed, as the 1st visit the food was excellent. I hate leaving bad reviews but was very disappointed. First, the menu says to choose 2 sides, you don't actually get a choice. You get coleslaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was the most unique thing they had but the potato salad was bland and not one person out of 8 ate it in our group. Second, my wife and I split the Ruben and the Philly. The meat was cooked nicely but was not a lot in the Philly and both sandwiches were dry. Also, what kinda place doesn't let you pick fries as one of your sides. The fries were great but for a $2 up charge was ridiculous. Sadly between the side of fries and our $2 up charge for a side salad those were the 2 best things we ate. We had such a great experience at Reckless Brewing. The food was absolutely amazing - we tried the pulled pork sliders and the pulled pork nachos, and both were packed with flavor and the pork was so tender. You could tell everything was freshly prepared. Our server Amanda was excellent- super friendly, attentive and made us feel at home. The service was average the food came fairly quickly. I ordered a cheeseburger medium well with cheddar cheese, the waitress said you cannot request how your burger is cooked, They're all kind of right in the middle, I told her fine as long as it's not pink and bloody. She agreed the Burger came, and the cheese was American not cheddar, I can let that slide at first bite I could see the burger was very pink and undercooked in my opinion. It came with potato salad and coleslaw although the menu says it comes with French fries, The waitress said that is only with that special burger, whatever, the second half of the burger was so over salted I couldn't finish it. Fantastic first impressions! The owner opened this as a second restaurant/ brewery, his first is in Debeque Colorado called The Reckless Roadhouse. This property used to house Sudz Brothers micro brewery. Wonderful exterior colors of a matte black with orange/ red accents really updates downtown Fruita! Ordered a whiskey sour cocktail which was wonderful! Had a Caesar salad with smoked chicken leg, wonderful! Dessert was amazing- a mini Bundt like cake Creme brûlée with raspberry chutney on top, with pecan ice cream! Slurp! The warm mini cake with the ice cream was decadent. They will be THE place to be especially in the warm summer nights with a spot for an indoor band, and doors that open up to the promenade and fire pit and an outdoor spot for bands. I see this place having lines of folks waiting to get in! When I left, there were standing room only folks awaiting seating! Will definitely be back! read more

If you want me to be honest, DO NOT GO HERE, I payed 65$ for 2 entrees and let me tell ya about the food, I ordered the brewhouse Mac and the Chicken named Alfredo, first of all the pork in my Mac tasted like it's been sitting in my mothers crock pot for the last 2 weeks, no flavor just tasted like cheap pork you could find at a 5$ and below, The noodles had no flavor and the cheese was basically water just making my noodles soggy, same goes for the chicken Alfredo I ordered, noodles were the exact same thing, the chicken in it was terrible. I thought my girlfriend was overreacting over it but once I tried it she clearly was not, The cheap chicken they put in this 22$+ meal (22$ by the way ) is the same chicken you could probably pull out of a frozen spam can. Undercooked, thin, tasted like a waste of money. Not impressed whatsoever, I definitely do not recommend this place, I've never left a review before but this place definitely deserves one. I went to see a band and have a good time. I got a beer at the main bar and then went to watch the band. I was immediately told that it was a private party, the whole place, was even told by the owner that these other folks paid extra to reserve the whole place, and that i could not sit in a spot that was wide open, nobody sitting there, no tables or chairs in the area even. There was no where else to sit to watch the band. I guess they decided to let me stay, even though i was already embarrassed and humiliated, but only offered to stick me in a corner to the left of the stage where my chair and i wouldn't fit, so decided to leave. I felt so stupid, kicking myself for not knowing that it was a private party. If i had known, i wouldn't have even gone there. Thought for sure that this was my failure and i should have realized it was a private party. I don't want to look like an interloper, trying to crash someone else's party. But then when i got home and started looking online for any mention of this being a private party, i found nothing that mentioned it. Also, as i left, i noticed their sign out front advertising the music that was playing this weekend. No mention there either of Saturday's show being a private party. I've never had any complaint from anyone there about anything i might have done to deserve this, but i guess if you don't want someone at your establishment anymore, you wait 'til they get there, tell them it's private, give no accomodation, except an offer to stick you in a corner with a couple of tables and about 6 or 8 chairs to the side of the stage, where my chair can't even fit. And when i realized that those were the only seats left in the whole place, i knew as soon as any more folks showed up, i'd be out of luck again, moved again to accommodate other paying customers. Can't believe after all the times i've been there, that they would treat me in such an expendable manner, but i was getting scolded and given the evil eye from the owner the whole time. If looks could kill,..as i was leaving, i would have had 2 holes burned through me. Every time i looked over at the owner, he was still glaring at me like i was trying to destroy the place or something, and i need to be watched. I felt even more stupid, once i got home and realized that there was no mention of it being a private party situation in any of the mentions of this show. If you advertise a show as being open to the public, with no mention of it being a private party, and then when other paying customers get there to see the show, you tell them it's private? I was embarrassed, humiliated, and i'm still in shock over how they treated me after i've been quite a regular customer. i will NEVER spend another dollar of my money there again, basically because i don't go to places where i don't feel welcome and will NEVER go there again. What a delicious experience. They have the best cheese curds I've ever had. The Mac n' cheese with pulled pork is divine! Smooth and creamy with pork that melts in your mouth. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced. The service was exceptional. Josh treated us like VIPs. And I noticed that he did so for everyone he served.
