Food was solid hands-down, but the papaya salad was very spicy - Had chili seeds in it and actual chili powder Layered on the top - was left with just chili powder taste on the tongue so we couldn't quite finish it but both noodles and fried rice was hands-down good... I am not a huge fan of tomatoes anymore so I enjoyed everything except for the tomatoes in the fried rice.. will ask them to take them out next time!

Looking for great vibes and great food in the Central District? Then Reckless Noodle House is the place to go. The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was lively, and they always made sure we had enough water. At the end of our meal, we forgot our leftover container on the table, and one of the waiters came out and gave it to us. Everything on their menu is lively and full of flavor. For drinks, we ordered the Crouching Tiger Hidden Vodka and the Reckless Mule. Both drinks were light and refreshing. For our dishes, we ordered the Shanghai Spicy Wontons, Lobster Bao, Papaya Salad, Caramelized Pork Fresh Roll, Roast Duck Crispy Roll, and the Reckless Fried Rice with pastrami. All of our dishes were perfectly balanced and came out hot and fresh. Everything we ordered was a favorite, but if I had to pick, my top choices were the Shanghai Spicy Wontons, Caramelized Pork Fresh Roll, and the Reckless Fried Rice. It's a great restaurant for ordering multiple dishes to share. It's a great place for larger groups, but also perfect for grabbing a drink and a bite at the bar.

Because why wouldn't you want to sample some delicious Asian insoired bar food with a variety of Amaros? Reckless is pretty cool as a Bar with bites. My Paper Plane was well done, as were the CioCiaro and NA Pathfinder. Food-wise we had the wings, chicken cabbage salad, carmelized prawns and pork. rolls. Sizes were perfect, small enough without being too filling. Friendly, happy servers to boot.

Usually hipster restaurants are quirky and the staff is nice. This had neither, the food was oily and unoriginal. We had asked for no protein for one of the noodle dishes and the waitress, who had been rude since she sat us down, wouldn't allow that? We needed to add something so ended up with extra vegetables with over took the plate. My guess is they weren't giving enough noodle to make a complete dish. The restaurant is pretty busy but in a suffocating kind of way. They have people speed walking around and yet no one can let you know if your table is ready. We felt like a burden to them anytime we asked for something. The only nice one there was the girl bringing us water. I would recommend it just based on the price and service.

The service was good, and the decor was fun on the bar side. The Bo La Lot was my favorite dish. And the Tuesday trio special they run is a pretty solid, an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $35. The Curry Vermicelli Bowl had good flavor, however I thought the carrots were too chunky for the dish and the potatoes seemed a bit undercooked.

We dropped by Reckless Noodle on a Friday with two friends. We used the Q app to make sure we were on their waitlist in the event it was super busy. Service was very attentive and upbeat the minute were inside Once we were in we started things off right with some cocktails and starters. I enjoyed the barrel aged Manhattan and the table shared the roast duck crispy rolls. For the main all I had ever heard about were these beef cheek noodles so I had to try it and honestly no notes- the noodles were chewy the beef cheek tender and the spice was hot and numbing. Others at the table tried the seafood dishes which they enjoyed a lot. We did somehow find room for dessert - a seasonal creme brûlée. We spent a good amount of time eating and drinking the evening away - enjoying the music and the comfortable dining area. We will be back.

Food - fresh spring rolls were good. perfect size for app or re meal for me because i can't eat huge amounts. Service - great! friendly & things came out quickly. Ambiance - we sat outside with the dog. and the patio is really nice and feels secluded despite being in a parking lot off a busy-ish street. they did a really nice job of decorating it to feel like its not just an after thought. very chill vibes & busy on the weekend.

I guess this is what we'd call gentrified asian food. The type of thing my parents would scoff at but I'm always curious to try when I see. I always wonder "how do they 'elevate' these dishes?", or "is there anything creative that sets this apart/is a fun fusion concept?". So we got the papaya salad: good, same as other papaya salads except 0% spicy in stark contrast to other salads which are somehow always the spiciest part of the meal. We also got the wok seared tumerick rockfish: the fish was great but i think it works alone better than it does with the noodles, they felt really distinct to me and I didn't necessarily eat them them together. Also I learned that i really like dill with fish. That was delightful. The beef cheek soup: was good. Great quality, very well thought through, you can tell there was a lot of intention in the dish. And it tasted like a dang good beef noodle soup. Overall food was good and i enjoyed trying the things we did.

A fantastic spot! I've been wanting to try this spot for a while, and finally got the chance to for their Seattle Restaurant Week menu. We put ourselves on the waitlist ahead of time so were able to get seated right when we arrived. For the special menu it was three courses - to start, we got the lobster bao, duck crispy roll, and grilled beef appetizers. They were small, but all pretty good! For our entrees we got the mala beef cheek noodle, hokkien wok noodle, and duck noodle soup. All three were fantastic - I loved the tenderness of the beef and the savoriness of the hokkien wok noodles! Finally for dessert, the vietnamese coffee creme brulee was spectacular and so unique, I've never had something like it! They also had my absolute favorite flavor black sesame ice cream which was absolutely perfect. Vibes are nice with dim lighting and good music. I'd definitely recommend!

We came in on Monday night for dinner, party of 4. There was plenty of seating. Items ordered: -lobster fried rice- everyone enjoyed this one and it had quite a bit of lobster. -tamarind seafood udon- the tartness of the soup was quite appetizing and went well with the seafood. The udon was ok. -five spice duck confit noodle soup- broth was rich in asian spices, duck and noodles were ok. -wings- this was delicious, each standard order comes with 3 wings (you can order 4, or any other number), but we figured go big or go home and got 2 orders (6wings). The wings were crispy and well seasoned and topped with a sweet chili sauce. -veggie hokkien noodle- i didn't get to try this one but my friends thought it was ok, a little different than expected. - stir fry bok choy with fuyu (not pictured bc we destroyed it first): delicious Wait staff was tentative and knowledgable about the dishes. He warned us we were ordering way too much food...yup we had plenty to take home but we're glad we tried all of it.

tasty food with lots of menu and seating options! my friend and i dropped in here for an early dinner to catch up after many months of being so damned busy we couldn't find time to sit down together. we opted for the bar since it was sunday, and they have an all day happy hour plus you can still order from their regular menu (they're also currently offering participating in seattle restaurant week so that was another option but too much food for each of us.) we decided to get the small dish of carmelized prawns and the curry noodle bowl to split. both super flavorful and plenty for two adults. the curry vermicelli bowl is pretty darned big, so be forewarned! (it'd be a great option if you're looking for eating some and having leftovers to take home for another meal.) we had two drinks as well--a mule and an aviation and they were on point! attentive, friendly service, tv's on with the seahawks game as one would expect in a local bar, but we were far more focused on catching each other up on our lives and jobs. all in all a solid place for a good meal and one i'd go back to with the goal of ordering and trying out some more interesting dishes!

The service at this hip restaurant is great! There was a shift change in between our visit here and they handled it seamlessly. I appreciated how attentive and knowledgeable they were about the menu. I felt that the papaya salad left more to be desired. It was fresh but I felt it was lacking some flavor. The duck rolls were tasty but quite oily. I very much enjoyed my tumeric rock fish, it was a light dish considering there were noodles. All of the herbs added to the freshness and lightness of the dish. If I had one critique it would be that I would've loved a touch of spice or a side of a spicy sauce to add to the dish. My friend had the Ma La braised beef noodles. She's been to the restaurant a few times and she says it's her favorite. I'm assuming so since I only got a single bite! The beef was very tender and the noodles were fat and tasty. We got two desserts. Unfortunately I was not enthralled. The Thai coffee creme brûlée was too bitter for me. And the lime ice cream with all the additions felt like there was too much going on. I liked the vibe of the place. It was intimate but also kinda fun.

My friends and I stopped by Reckless Noodles this past Wednesday evening at around 7pm as we were in the area for trivia. I remember a coworker had recommended the place and so I wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, we forget it was Seattle Plate Week (formerly Seattle Restaurant Week) and so the place was packed and the wait was over an hour. We thus put our name on the wait list and walked over to the Dog Yard Bar while we waited. Interesting enough, the Dog Yard Bar had a link on their menu to order from Reckless Noodles since Dog Yard doesn't serve food. We therefore placed our orders online for pickup at 8:15pm. However, when we walked over at 8:15pm, they had just put our orders into the kitchen and so it was another 20 minutes until we got our food. The server was apologetic and gave us some complimentary shrimp chips and salted peanuts for our patience. I ordered their signature MA LA BRAISED BEEF CHEEK NOODLE. Basically, the dish was udon in a spicy Sichuan kimchi sauce with marinated beef. The sauce definitely leaves your tongue and lips tingling by the end of it from the Sichuan pepper. The beef was tender and well-marinated. Portion sizes were on the smaller side for $23 (plus tax, tip, and to go fee which brought it up to about $28). It was tasty, but for a cup and a half of noodles and a few pieces of beef, the prices are definitely steep for what you get. The atmosphere is pretty cool (did I mention they have a neon "Live Noods" sign at the entrance!?) and I would come back for drinks, but unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the atmosphere this time. Overall: 3/5 for food, 3/5 for service

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

The overall space and bathroom was very clean and a great spot for lunch!

Writing this sucks and also I feel like I'm giving a completely honest and fair review of last night (Friday, June 19, 2026) from 7 to 8:30pm ish. Two hairs - one in my kaisen champon, one in my partner's niku udon. A dead bug in the niku udon. A staff member walking the floor actively bleeding from his nose with a napkin stuffed into it. Any one of these on its own would have been a rough night. All three in the same meal is something else ‍ The kitchen is small and open so you can see and hear everything, which meant we also got a front row seat to the chef yelling at his staff multiple times throughout the evening. The team was clearly working hard and seemed genuinely understaffed, but the kitchen felt like it was coming apart at the seams. We were in line to order for about five minutes, during that time we heard the employee at the register say to the man in front of us that there is no more summer special cold udon flight. Bummer, but totally understand. The menus are acrylic boards at the ordering counter, there were two for the two specials and they were left up when we went to order. The employee told me that unfortunately they have run out of the other special (not the flight). She turned around to do something else for a bit, came back, so I ordered the flight and she said they don't have that either. LOL okay!! No worries! I asked if any of the udon can be made cold? She asked the head chef. He yells back that he has no time for this. Like a good one minute lecture, yelling at the staff. So sorry I made him yell at this poor girl I ordered kaisen champon and my partner ordered the niku udon. We waited for a good 30 mins for our food. Fine we like each other enough to spend time with each other and can clearly see it is chaos in the kitchen. We get our food. We didn't get utensils with our food, and were told "I'll grab utensils for you, sorry about that" So we just sat there waiting for utensils. Food is good but there are hairs and a bug ‍ During our time waiting the water wasn't ever filled (it's self serve) so after our food came I asked for water three times, kept getting "I'll refill it". The chawanmushi showed up 20+ minutes after our food, basically as we were finishing. And they don't have to-go containers, which fine, but worth knowing. I've given this place real chances. Last night felt like a hygiene issue, an understaffed kitchen, and a service breakdown all stacked on top of each other. Usually we go during lunch so maybe that's my recommendation moving forward - I'm giving this place a rest from the rotation for now.

We walked into a casual, compact space with a mix of counter and table seating that fits the quick ramen shop style. The interior is efficient and well organized, though it can get extremely busy, and the wait times are often one of the biggest parts of the experience, especially during peak hours. Once seated, the space feels functional and comfortable, designed around getting a bowl of ramen in front of you without unnecessary distractions. The ramen is built around rich tonkotsu broth with a lot of customization options. We appreciated the ability to adjust things like noodle firmness, richness, and spice level, which made each bowl feel more personalized. The regular tonkotsu ramen stood out for its deep umami flavor without feeling overly heavy, and the noodles had a great texture that held up well against the broth. The vegan options also stand out, including miso-based bowls with flavorful broths that give non-pork options more depth than many ramen shops offer. The toppings are generous, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked to that perfect jammy consistency. Beyond ramen, the menu has a few sides that complement the meal well, including gyoza that came out crisp and well filled. We also grabbed mochi ice cream for something sweet afterward, a light finish after the rich broth. The seasonal ramen options are worth checking out since they add variety beyond the standard bowls, giving regular visitors a reason to come back and try something new. Service is generally quick and friendly, especially considering how busy the restaurant gets. The ordering system is straightforward, and the staff handles the constant flow of customers efficiently. The team kept the pace moving without making the experience feel rushed, and they were attentive to refilling water and checking in on the table. The biggest downside is the popularity, since the lines can sometimes feel long for a relatively quick meal, but the wait tends to move faster than expected given the efficient turnover. Ramen Danbo is a reliable spot for a satisfying bowl of ramen in Seattle. The customizable bowls, strong broth, and consistent noodle quality make it a place worth visiting, although planning around busy hours can make the experience much better. This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

My wife and son highly recommended this place as a tasty place they found…read more.. After my son's fencing tournament where he stabs his friends... we went on the adventure. The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
