This is our favorite restaurant in Lehi! It's so fresh, fast, and super friendly service.

I have been here many times and every time I am impressed and love my food. But tonight was the exact opposite. It took an hour and a half and 2 reminders to get our food. The 2 sushi chefs that have been there every other time were notably absent and the 2 waiters were as well. I know it was a busy night but so is every other time my wife and I go. Super good! Had the crab Rangoon, crunch roll, California roll and Liz roll. Liz roll is very spicy but hubs loved it. My crunch roll was very good. Everything was 20% off. Not sure if that's an always thing or just a right now thing. Definitely better than a lot of Asian restaurants nearby. read more

Oh oh oh. This place is yucky. I didnt order any sushi, so maybe im not the best judge, but it smells so gross you couldnt possibly eat there. Smells like walking into a meat market that caters specifically to smelly fish. The noodle dish was slimy and bland, also tasted like fish. The sesame chicken was too breaded and had hardly any meat. Ah, right tasty Asian food. I enjoyed their take on a Vegas Roll and some General Tso's Chicken with egg drop soup and rice. They have great lunch specials and the food came out very quickly--which is lovely when you're on a lunch break from work. They've got sushi, sashimi, typical entrees, a few Thai options, and a couple lovely surprises as well. They have an acceptable beer and sake selection given the location here in the überconservative Mormonlandia that is extreme northeastern Utah County. Stop by and enjoy. read more

Went to this business with my family of 5, Sunday 5/20 6:30 PM. I have had a good experience here in past visits but this time the food was terrible. My adult grand daughter took one bite off her plate and pushed it away. Upset stomachs occurred within a half hour of leaving. Perhaps it's just the particular chef they had on duty on Sunday. Get rid of the Sunday chef! Where's chef Ramsey and chef Robert Irvin when you need em'? I wasted a $100 !!! read more

I ordered the Shrimp and Vegitable Tempura. The tempura vegitables were ok nothing amazing here. The Shrimp was not even Tempura. It was Breaded Shrimp from a frozen package. They need to change the title of this dish to reflect that. I usually like tempura because it is a light batter over the shrimp and hopefully done fresh. There was none of this on the dish I got! Skip this menu option if you go if you are like me and like tempura and not breaded frozen shrimp! read more

We decided to try this place since the reviews were generally good. Ummm, I don't know how people could have given this place a good review. I had the sushi (Orchid roll I think), and I'm not even sure exactly what I was eating. The fish inside the roll was OK, but whatever fish was on top was just weird mush. The miso soup was super salty, although it did have some seaweed, tofu, and green onions in it. My husband got the chicken don burri and thought it was virtually tasteless, though a huge portion size. The prices were not cheap but fairly typical for a decent sushi place, but the quality of everything was sorely lacking. I definitely do not recommend this place, and I wish people would call a spade a spade and give honest reviews. read more

Red 8 was kind of a random find in a neighborhood shopping center, and I'm glad we found it! Their service was prompt and friendly. Food came really quickly and tasted really fresh. It isn't really "Asian fusion", so much as typical dishes from multiple different Asian cuisines. So there was a Japanese section with teriyaki, a sushi section, a Thai section, and a Chinese section of the menu. We got a mix of cuisines with fried crab wontons, orange chicken, and salmon teriyaki. The orange chicken was probably my favorite (quality meat, lots of sauce), while the salmon teriyaki didn't taste like it had marinated for super long but was still good, and the crab wontons were really good. Everything was priced at what I would expect, but portions were nearly double what I expected so it was a good value. read more

Red 8 is surprisingly good for the cost. Cheap sushi in Utah usually means you'll be spending the next three days regretting it and taking sick days off work. But every time we've gone to Red 8, we've gotten good food with no after-dinner regrets. It's not the best sushi in the Salt Lake/Utah County area, but it's better quality than you'd expect for the price. For me though, the more impressive part is their service. Their service staff is friendly, and you can tell that they and the sushi chef get along well together. The servers are always smiling and relaxed, and when they head back to read off the order, you can hear them chatting and generally enjoying each other's company. And it all comes together to create a comfortable, no-worries environment where you can just relax and enjoy your food. Really, the only time we don't go here is if we're looking for high-end, quality sushi, or for a wide menu of options. Red 8 does the basics, with an extra couple pages of specialty rolls. They cover the essentials, and there's nothing on their menu that separates them from the rest. All in all, if you want good sushi and a place to just relax with a few friends or whatnot, this is the place. For a fancy night, maybe look somewhere twice the price. read more

Okay so my wife and I are picky sushi people, the sushi is good but it isn't like sappa or shoga which I consider to be some of the best in the two counties. However it was enjoyable and fresh. But I can say the other food like sweet and sour chicken, noodles, fried rice all yummy. It's hard to find a place where you can feel comfortable bringing your kids and the sushi restaurants are kind of snobs. But red 8 felt great, and had above par sushi for the wife to enjoy while my kids ate great regular Chinese food. Let me just say the shrimp fried rice is the best I've ever had, more so then any other location and my wife and I have searched alot, including other states we visit often. SHRIMP FRIED RICE IS KILLER #GOJUSTFORIT. But I read these reviews that bad mouth this restaurant and makes me laugh. Really the Vegas batter is to thick, "hey I got an idea how about you stop being so sheltered of a Utahan and try something else besides a Vegas roll." #vegastypicalandsafe #autahthing. Words being used like, "NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN." Over one roll. If your going to judge the restaurant on that alone you need to broaden your horizons bud. Some people don't know how hard it is to run a tight business like red 8 is doing now, they got game going on right now and I'm proud to have it in our area....especially that my kids ask for it when we go out now instead of the typical Texas roadhouse, it's a great change up. read more

For those who are visiting Utah, it's a little bizarre that the only thing you can find to eat on a Sunday is either from the grocery store or from an ethnic restaurant of some sort. Food came out real quick and was pretty good! Had a tofu and veggie for my kids to share, they loved it! They also ate most of the miso soup too. My wife and I ordered the uno mas roll, the tuna and also ordered the Mongolian Steak with a squid salad and potstickers. No complaints about any of the food. Ordered pad thai to go, was so disappointed when I opened it up at home as it did not even look like pad thai. The dish was soupy and soggy, but still I held out hope thinking maybe the taste will make up for the look. Took one bite and spat it out. Disgusting, bland and overly sweet. It was not pad thai. I just moved here from CA and realize Asian cuisine here might not be up to par , but c'mon, at least google how to make pad thai and how it should look if you are going to open up a restaurant and charge people for it. read more

I ordered the Uno Mas Roll for takeout. It was surprisingly good with the perfect spicy bite to it and very fresh. Loved it and the service was lightning fast and very enthusiastic. They're obviously excited to be in business as are the rest of us who could use a good Asian joint closer to Alpine/Highland. It's gutsy to try to be good at everything (Thai, Chinese, Japanese) but it sounds like they're pulling it off. Everything else we've tried in Lehi and AF has been a little disappointing or good but not great. It looks like they have some great lunch specials with a lot of food for $8-10 so my wife and I will probably be back for those on a regular basis. I like the price of food. It is similar in my opinion to Panda Express in quality. Their lunch is a great value, potstickers and Lehi roll are the best. Cashew chicken, fried rice, noodles were just okay. They were quick on a call in order, beware the take out containers are flimsy and front loaded, meaning when it was tilted forward slightly most of my rice fell out. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered online so I would not have to wait for takeout. I was told that they did not make my order and had to wait 20. Got home hungry and ready to Chow. We ordered moo goo gai pan, Mongolian Beef, a roll and dumplings. The dumplings were the best of the 4 and I have had much better. The moo goo had no flavor. I know.. moo goo should have a very mild flavor. With that said, it should have flavor. The Mongolian beef was like a thick soup with over cooked veggies and low quality beef. it was not tough, just had grissle on most pieces. 50% all rolls.. I paid $6 for my roll.. I will say, it did have large pieces of fish and the fish was good. The roll was small and it did not impress me... Even for only $7, I would have been better off going to Smith for my roll. Ended up tossing the beef and moo goo in the trash. Lesson learned. read more

We had the walnut shrimp, Wontons and some sushi. The shrimp and wontons were really tasty. The sushi was fine but I've had better around town. For Chinese food fixes this is a great place to go, for sushi go elsewhere unless you just want it as a side dish. read more
