I haven't visited in a few years, but used to dine in at least once a week when my kids were young. Pizza still hits the spot! Lots of parking and comfortable booth seating. It is a bit on the small side, and can get very loud. On the Sunday afternoon we visited, there was a game on TV and several patrons sitting at the counter watching. It was very loud! Our server was nice and turned the TV volume down when requested. The margarita pizza was tasty and a good value. I would return. read more

I've eaten here many times over the years and both the Pizza and sandwiches were always hot, fresh, and delicious. Now, a few years later, it's gone completely downhill and both the food and service were very poor. The front sign still says "Brooklyn Pizza", but the music inside was loud Mexican mariachi-style music. Inside, one of the rooms was unused and stacked with old, dusty furniture. We ordered sandwiches and pasta, and both seemed like they were pre-made and just warmed up - definitely not made with fresh ingredients. We kept having to flag down a server to find out where our food was, ask for utensils, etc. and it took forever for us to get our food. Sadly, I won't be returning to this once great restaurant. read more

Tucked away is this gem. West Brooklyn Pizza is open until midnight! It was late and a late night snack was calling. I never noticed it was here and I've passed by many times. Plug it into your gps next time you're looking for a low-key kind of night. It was not busy when we walked in and I'm shocked. Pints are $6 and a slice comes to your table hot. It's perfect to me. Is it the best pizza; no. Is it going to make you happy; yes! The garlic knots are perfect to shield the evil away. I had garlic breath for two days. I love garlic so I didn't mind. It was tasty. There was a bathtub of oil in the basket but the knots were still crispy. Drink your beer not the garlic oil. There's also a side area that would be cool for a party or a big family. A disappointment. I've ordered from here many times and enjoyed it. This order left me extremely disappointed. I placed an online order for a large pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage and Canadian bacon and plain wings with buffalo sauce and ranch on the side. I received a large pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon (not Canadian bacon) and wings with buffalo sauce on them. The one thing they did get right was the ranch on the side. Service was unwelcoming. I entered the restaurant and walked to the counter where two employees stood and they both ignored me for at least a minute while they had a conversation. Once they acknowledged my presence, I received my order within five minutes. I'm not sure if I'll order from here again. read more

Update: another terrible delivery experience with these folks. I order and wait for about an hour - nothing. When I call they tell me they had trouble finding a delivery person and the pizza has been sitting for half an hour. They promised to make me a fresh pizza and get it out right away. What would they have done if I hadn't called? As I said before: the pizza is good, but that doesn't matter if they can't deliver it reliably. read more

My experience here was not great at all. The reason my boyfriend and I went there is because the menu on their website had great prices when we got there the prices were different and way more expensive. We ended up ordering because we wanted to try the food. Once our pizza came to us we sent I back because it was very under cooked after that the customer service went down hill the cook was not happy that we sent our food back. We ended up just leaving because the vibe changed and felt very very uncomfortable. I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you like undercooked pizza and horrible customer service. read more

Sorry if you like this place I'm giving it three stars from and unbiased opinion. I am not supposed to have dairy so I got a chicken salad and it was not it. The chicken was fried and too overcooked. That being said the chef remade it a little less cooked but they don't have fresh grilled chicken. We needed a group lunch order and we ordered from West Brooklyn again since they were a hit last time. Pizza: (They do have gluten free options for their pizza) Meat Half Sicilian - this is the square detroit style pizza. Each slice is extremely thick and doughy. If you're a crust person this is for you! Cheese Half Sicilian Veggie Half Sicilian Italian Neapolitan - normal round pizza. Others: Salad- the large is about an entree size and can be split for 3-4 people for a side salad. Generous with toppings and a pretty normal salad. Garlic Knots- good! Wings - gluten free and delicious! Fried to perfection. This was way too much food for 10 people as the Sicilian pizzas are very thick and 1 slice is equivalent to two slices of pizza. We ended up having 1.5 pizzas left over. Note: They don't offer delivery and only have pickup. read more

Another place I'm surprised I haven't reviewed yet! We've ordered delivery from this place countless times. I've dined here since 2005, and when the kids were little, it was a lifesaver! They're still a lifesaver, especially when I work late, there's no time cook (who am I kidding I don't cook HA). Decent booth seating and nice bar seating. There's parking and that's all it matters. They're also the only place my husband has found that uses green olives; he loves his pizza topped with green olives! Most places only have black olives, not sure why? They also have meatball sandwiches, delicious garlic rolls & garlic bread, tasty pastas, calzones, fresh salads, and decadent desserts! There's something for everyone here. On the search to find the best pizza in Marin and tested West Brooklyn for the first time last night. We ordered for takeout: 1/2 a Sicilian with mushroom & pepperoni, garlic knots and a house salad. The Sicilian was pretty good! Definitely a lot of dough and very filling - the half size could easily feed 3-4 people. The sauce seemed a little light in flavor, but also could have just been overpowered by the large amount of bread/dough. Looking forward to trying the regular pizza next time. Garlic knots were tasty and hard to come by out in Marin. They are topped with garlic & herb seasonings and come with sides of marinara. The salad was a basic house salad with fresh greens. One callout is they gave us the wrong dressing for the salad and we got ranch instead of Italian. Overall pretty good spot for a casual takeout pizza. Plan to return and try some different items next time. read more

This place would have potential but I wont go back. The individual thin slice pizza crust held up well, cheese and sauce were delish but the toppings were loose and fell off all over the place. Ordered a Sicilian slice and it was too thick and didn't hold any of the toppings as well. The lasagna had a tasty sauce and was cheesy but lacking a bit of meat. The main reason I wont go back was due to odd service and uncleanly facade. If they dont keep the place tidy I question what goes on behind the scenes. It's not easy finding good pizza here in California. I mean there's a lot of nice flatbread with toppings that people call pizza, but it's not really pizza for those of that grew up in the Northeast. I spent weekends and summers visiting family in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and I have to say this place is the closest thing to that, that I've found in the last 25 years here in CA. We like this pizza joint because they listen to us when we say "we'll done crust please", and we get the simple Italian garden salad which is plenty to share. I ordered a glass of cabernet and the girl asked me 3 different times what I ordered, as if she had never heard of this mysterious "cabernet". Long story short, they were out of red wine. How do you have a pizza joint that also serves Italian food but have no red wine? My son got a Margherita slice and it was basically a cheese slice with freshly diced tomatoes and chopped basil on top. They didn't get the memo that you bake pizza with the toppings and don't just add afterwards. I wish I had taken photos of the pizza to share but the guys in the kitchen have no idea what they're doing. Clearly there isn't sufficient training for the staff and it seems like the owners just don't care. What a shame because this used to be a hidden gem in San Rafael. I will never return to this dump. We're not from the area so I yelped and found this place and it had good review AND we love NY pizza. First NY pizza I had was in Brooklyn at Smileys so we thought we'd check this place out. The pizza was GREAT! We would definitely head back. We purchased a West Brooklyn combo (anchovies on the side), an Artichoke Special, a Mushroom, and another one specialized to my husbands liking. Really liked the sauce and the slice. And it was not bad even when it was cold. My daughter loved it and her fiance liked it to and that's the most important part. What a pleasant surprise! We will return when we are in the area. The only thing was... I bought the Garlic Knots and, as mentioned earlier, it was cold by the time we ate it and it was full of butter or oil. The star here is their Sicilian Style. The focaccia-like THICK crust is as much of an attraction as the wonderful toppings. For whatever reason, garlic and clams on a pizza is uncommon in the bay area. Not only does West Brooklyn have it, they do it better than just about anyone else, giving it an extra kick with pesto and black olives. They have named this stupendous creation the Pesto Special. Another favorite is the Greek, with Spinach, Feta, Sun Dried Tomatoes & Black Olives. Get both as a half-and-half and prepare to be impressed. No matter how you look at it, the Sicilian Style is a hefty pizza. A whole Sicilian, all 16 square cut slices of it, is something you need two hands to carry. So much goodness, the box struggles to contain it, and bursts at the seams. read more

Got delivery today of a neapolitan and sicilian style pizza Sicilain was definitely thicker then I was expecting , (mostly dough, little sauce) and though cooked perfectly, I would not order again just due to my personal preference. I'm used to it being less dough with more sauce etc. The square shape was as expected. Neopolitan was more to my taste. The crust is more what I'm used to for an " Italian style pizza". Comming from the East Coast, I wouldn't catogorize it as thin crust, but as normal crust. Dough was great and they use fresh tomatoes which was a happy surprise. Basil was fresh and toppings were good. Pizza sauce was excellent, though I would have liked more cheese/ sauce to dough ratio. I would come here again. Been trying to find a good pizza place in Marin. Ordered an extra large from West Brooklyn with two toppings it was around $26. The pizza is very good. I was able to call in my order and swing by to pick it up and it was ready on time. The crust is pretty dense and the cheese is good quality. It does remind me more of an East Coast pizza in how heavy it felt. I can recommend them for pizza. Haven't tried anything else there yet. They do have indoor and outdoor seating but I got mine to go. read more
