Margarita no cheese!

Friendly staff and very delicious pizza I give this place a 10/10! Yum ! You will really enjoy this place! Small and in the cuts with a bar!

Tucked away is this gem. West Brooklyn Pizza is open until midnight! It was late and a late night snack was calling. I never noticed it was here and I've passed by many times. Plug it into your gps next time you're looking for a low-key kind of night. It was not busy when we walked in and I'm shocked. Pints are $6 and a slice comes to your table hot. It's perfect to me. Is it the best pizza; no. Is it going to make you happy; yes! The garlic knots are perfect to shield the evil away. I had garlic breath for two days. I love garlic so I didn't mind. It was tasty. There was a bathtub of oil in the basket but the knots were still crispy. Drink your beer not the garlic oil. There's also a side area that would be cool for a party or a big family. Go, eat, and be happy.

What I ordered.

A disappointment. I've ordered from here many times and enjoyed it. This order left me extremely disappointed. I placed an online order for a large pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage and Canadian bacon and plain wings with buffalo sauce and ranch on the side. I received a large pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon (not Canadian bacon) and wings with buffalo sauce on them. The one thing they did get right was the ranch on the side. Service was unwelcoming. I entered the restaurant and walked to the counter where two employees stood and they both ignored me for at least a minute while they had a conversation. Once they acknowledged my presence, I received my order within five minutes. I'm not sure if I'll order from here again.

We needed a group lunch order and we ordered from West Brooklyn again since they were a hit last time. Pizza: (They do have gluten free options for their pizza) Meat Half Sicilian - this is the square detroit style pizza. Each slice is extremely thick and doughy. If you're a crust person this is for you! Cheese Half Sicilian Veggie Half Sicilian Italian Neapolitan - normal round pizza. Others: Salad- the large is about an entree size and can be split for 3-4 people for a side salad. Generous with toppings and a pretty normal salad. Garlic Knots- good! Wings - gluten free and delicious! Fried to perfection. This was way too much food for 10 people as the Sicilian pizzas are very thick and 1 slice is equivalent to two slices of pizza. We ended up having 1.5 pizzas left over. Note: They don't offer delivery and only have pickup.

OK for me to get five stars it almost has to be superb superb service.. This place is pretty close though, the service was friendly and fast and the food came out very quickly and the pizza was very tasty and piping hot. Garlic rolls were ok too

On my way home from shopping, decided to flip a coin and try a new place for a mouth watering sandwich. I found it here at West Brooklyn Pizza. I got the Italian sandwich, served hot, and it was not disappointing at all. Could only eat half of the sandwich, too big, guess dinner will be leftovers. Great service from Ashley too!!! I will be back soon to have this tasty sandwich again.

I love ordering via Yelp Eat 24!

Another place I'm surprised I haven't reviewed yet! We've ordered delivery from this place countless times. I've dined here since 2005, and when the kids were little, it was a lifesaver! They're still a lifesaver, especially when I work late, there's no time cook (who am I kidding I don't cook HA). Decent booth seating and nice bar seating. There's parking and that's all it matters. They're also the only place my husband has found that uses green olives; he loves his pizza topped with green olives! Most places only have black olives, not sure why? They also have meatball sandwiches, delicious garlic rolls & garlic bread, tasty pastas, calzones, fresh salads, and decadent desserts! There's something for everyone here. Don't forget to check out their Yelp check-in deal. 'Til next time, cheers & see you on Yelp (SYOY)!

Half Sicilian with mushrooms & pepperoni

On the search to find the best pizza in Marin and tested West Brooklyn for the first time last night. We ordered for takeout: 1/2 a Sicilian with mushroom & pepperoni, garlic knots and a house salad. The Sicilian was pretty good! Definitely a lot of dough and very filling - the half size could easily feed 3-4 people. The sauce seemed a little light in flavor, but also could have just been overpowered by the large amount of bread/dough. Looking forward to trying the regular pizza next time. Garlic knots were tasty and hard to come by out in Marin. They are topped with garlic & herb seasonings and come with sides of marinara. The salad was a basic house salad with fresh greens. One callout is they gave us the wrong dressing for the salad and we got ranch instead of Italian. Overall pretty good spot for a casual takeout pizza. Plan to return and try some different items next time.

I always get mine as a white Pizza ... it's the best!

My new favorite is having a white pizza! I can't have tomato sauce often so this gives me the chance to have my weekly pizza. It is absolutely beautiful every time it arrives! I can't say enough great things about this pizza!

We had Crostini with a roasted tomato spread, and some olives, it was very underwhelming. The olives had pits in them; they were not a spread. The roasted tomatoes in olive oil were flavorless. I thought the olives would be like a tapenade to spread on the bread. We both had pear salads, which sounded wonderful, but I thought the pears would be thinly sliced perhaps crisp Asian pears, but, they were cooked with a sweet sauce and soft, and then serve served with very sweet red grapes and a sweet pomegranate dressing and sweet candied pecans, even though it was on a bed of Frisse, the salad was too sweet. It was served with a couple little tiny pieces of Gorgonzola cheese that was so soft that I couldn't divide it up to eat it with the rest of the salad, that would've been a better spread for the bread! I had grilled mixed seafood misto that had been fried very lightly.. The swordfish was overcooked and dry and flavorless.. The shrimp and scallops were cooked fine. The salmon was a tiny little piece with a lot of fat streaks in it. The wedges of Yukon gold potatoes were roasted, but were drenched with olive oil. I could only eat the scallops and shrimp. The carrots were so al dente when my husband went to cut them they slid off his plate, I had to nibble on them by hand by the green tips. For dessert, my husband ordered spumoni which was sliced ice cream and very thin slices. Kind of like a bombe. The flavor was really great, but there really wasn't enough to share. I was very disappointed with the food quality and for the price of the wine-- it was marginal. It may have been better it I was served the wine that I ordered. All of this for $200 before tip. Not worth the price. The music was loud, it was set for the staff, I think, not older patrons and families--the ambience just wasn't nice or calm or celebratory for mothers. No special flower was handed out, not a dessert, not a glass of wine, not anything special for Mom. Oh yes, my husband's "special" fillet of sole was dry and was served on the skin. Not good. I was just so disappointed, it was supposed to have been the highlight of my day since my son lives far away, it wasn't.

My husband and I decided to give this spot a try after getting many rave reviews not only on yelp but on Eater SF (or maybe it was SFGate?). Anyway, we arrived around an hour before close, most places in this area close at 9pm btw. We were greeted by the host who walked in from near the kitchen area. We decided to sit outdoors since the weather was pleasant. We found a table for two near the projector showing a muted black and white film on the brick wall. The chairs had blankets over them just in case it gets chilly at night. It was very thoughtful. I decided to order their special 3 course meal including a white wine ($45!). It was like they had their own restaurant week specials like SF but I don't believe that exists in Marin. The 3 course meal included a beet salad, pasta (it was the screw shaped kind) with Bolognese and a tiramisu which was my fav of all 3. The white wine was a bit on the sweet side. My husband had the pappardelle pasta with oxtail. That was a treat! I liked his dish more than mine but all of it was so much we had to take half home! The complimentary focaccia really pushed us over the edge. I would definitely come back to try their pizzas!

I was hesitant about ordering it but decided to try something different instead of my usual pizza choice. It came with plenty of vegetables, which I liked, but the salmon had a strange taste. I'm a big fan of salmon, and I was expecting it to be the highlight of the salad, but it just wasn't. Came here - again! - for quick lunch, and as always, had great food and a nice lunch…read more The place was busier than expected at lunch, a good sign for a change. We were seated quickly, and the four of us quickly settled into our routine. Our server, Francisco, took some initial drink orders while we decided on appetizers. We finally settled on pickle fries, Korean fried cauliflower, and crispy fried cheese. I am seeing "fried" as a common denominator here! The appetizers showed up hot and tasty, and were quite a bit, so we delayed our entree orders as we all pivoted to new options, given out sudden fullness. However, we did go for a chicken Katsu bowl, two little house salads (like a typical simple side salad, but a bit larger in size), and a chopped salad, which is my personal go-to favorite. The food was tasty and fresh, and with a reload of the bread and butter, we could only order some desserts to take home - no sharing a piece today! The food was good, the service was friendly, although a bit absent at times - we did see him helping other tables across the dining room, and didn't see a lot of servers today, so perhaps a one-off, but we did wait a while between the appetizers and ordering the entrees, but not a typical service lapse here. Still, a good time, and good food!

As a teenager in Southern California I used to listen to a radio show with Elmer Dills, "The Dining…read moreDoctor". Mr. Dills always said that the first thing he did when entering a restaurant was use the restroom. If it was a mess he'd leave; the state of the bathroom, he argued, accurately reflected the state of the kitchen. Elmer Dills would have walked out of The Cheesecake Factory. On the evening of my visit, which began on a Friday around 5:40 p.m., I entered the women's restroom to what can only be described as an enormous mess. Trash receptacles were overflowing and each restroom had toilet paper and paper towels strewn all over the floors. If I wasn't meeting a friend here - who'd suggested the place - I'd have left. When I emerged I wanted to alert someone to the state of things. Not only was there nobody manning a host/hostess station, but there was nobody to greet guests or seat guests. When my friend arrived, we made our way into the bar area and as we did, I flagged down a server to tell him of the status of the women's restroom. At our table, we had to again flag down someone to take our order. A different person subsequently became our server and things were smoother from there on. Before leaving though, I again used the women's restroom only to find that it was still an utter mess. The food and drinks that arrived at my table were fine but the service levels and restroom cleanliness here render that observation moot. I recognize that The Cheesecake Factory is no longer in its heyday but based on this visit I'd surmise that they're close to expiration.

Penne for Your Thoughts…read more Cal-Italian restaurant in the quaint town of Larkspur that's celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year. Picco blends the best of California with locally sourced and fresh produce with classic and modern takes on Italian dining. They are also Michelin recognized, as they've been Bib Gourmand winners ('21-23) in the past, and are currently "Recommended." The Good: * Reservations via OpenTable * Free street and City-owned lots available but there are time limitations, so check the signage. * They also run a pizzeria (Pizzeria Picco) literally right next door if you'd rather have a pie than pasta. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Waitstaff was fantastic and friendly. * Also has a bar if you just want to come in for a drink or three. * Local brews on tap, as well as a full oeuvre of alcoholic beverages. * They're known for their changing seasonal risotto, and after one bite, it was easy to see why! It was simply fantastic, as the rice was cooked perfectly and the fresh spring flavors in ours shone. * Carissa loved her King Salmon and veggies, as the fish was cooked perfectly. I ordered a daily special with house-made pappardelle noodles and smoked beef short ribs, and while it looked like a hot mess, it was fantastic. The noodles were thick and held up well to the assertive smoke and flavor of the beef--just a perfect dish in my opinion.. The Meh: * The Polenta-Crusted Artichoke Hearts appetizer was just OK. I liked the crunch and how they tried to present them as chicken wings, but they ate a little dry and the coating needed more seasoning. Fortunately, their concomitant aioli was able to save the day. The Ugly: * Not the biggest restaurant, and with the brick walls, it can get raucous in there fairly easily, especially if a large post-wedding party shows up to the bar to get sauced. Conclusion: Fantastic spot for a date night or any other occasion with great ambiance, service, and, most importantly, food. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst café experiences I've had. From the moment I arrived, the service felt off. I was greeted, but also noticeably stared at in a way that felt judgmental and unwelcoming--never a great first impression in a hospitality setting. Their Wi-Fi was down, and the area has very poor cell service, which essentially made it impossible to work. While outages happen, there was no acknowledgment or apology, and it's a major issue for a café that appears to position itself as a place to sit and work. Ordering was another problem. I asked for a matcha latte, and no follow-up questions were asked--no hot or iced, no milk preference. I had to track the barista down myself to clarify. The drink itself was honestly terrible: extremely bitter, grassy, and undrinkable. I left most of it untouched. At nearly $10, it was also the most expensive (and worst) matcha I've ever had. The biggest issue, however, was how payment was handled. Their POS system was down, and I was asked to pay in cash. I didn't have cash, which is normal in 2026. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, I was bluntly told to "sit down" and wait--despite explaining that I had a scheduled meeting and needed to leave. At one point, I was told the only way I could leave was by handing over my credit card information to be written down and kept behind the counter. That is completely inappropriate and unsecured, and I refused. The situation became uncomfortable enough that other customers visibly noticed, and at least one couple left because of how rudely staff were speaking to guests. Eventually, I had to call a friend to bring cash just to resolve a $10 charge, which still took unnecessary time due to confusion between staff. I fully understand that small businesses have bad days. Systems go down. Things happen. But hospitality is about how you handle those moments. There was no apology, no accommodation, and no respect for customers' time or boundaries. I hate leaving negative reviews for local businesses, but I cannot recommend this place in good faith--especially when there are nearby cafés that offer good service, functional systems, Wi-Fi, and basic courtesy.

Otherwise the food here isn't particularly interesting, and wouldn't have been worth writing about except that on a recent and particularly cold, wet evening I ordered a bowl of my ultimate comfort food, clam chowder. What arrived was such a major departure from the expected I had nowhere else to air the case, so now here we are. What arrived at the table was essentially a kind of thickened clam broth. Not flour & water library paste thick. but with the right pasta would have been an ersatz linguine alle vongole (less actual clams). Or adding potatoes would make it the soup of the day which I've been noticing more often on menus is termed "potato chowder". (about this last I'd like to take issue: how can a thickened potato soup rightly be called a chowder given that in traditional chowder recipes the essential ingredient is in fact potatoes (no? ask google). I figure to a marketing kind of mind calling this bland goo a chowder lends a certain cachet that mere "soup" lacks, for whatever that'$ worth) Where was I? oh yeah, i should add that neither potatoes nor pasta were in this clam soup, but to avoid a claim that the order didn't meet the "clam" description, it did include clams. However the clams were all in shell, half-open and floating or submerged in the broth. Not what I expected and definitely messy to fish them out. And of course, it's a chowder so where were the potatoes? But the clams were fresh and with enough sourdough to add the necessary carb load I decided on this cold wet night not to make an issue of this. So if you didn't complain, well you must have had no complaint... except I did. The bowl of clam chowder I was served looked nothing like the customer photo posted somewhere on your yelp page. I'll just stay with salads.
