So I've only been once but…read more.. My mom and I are from NY and we sometimes crave the food category of super-simple-reliably-satisfying-reasonably-affordable American diner food. It's nostalgic and satisfying. I've passed by this place probably hundreds of times and I never once considered going in and trying their food. I have never liked fast food fried chicken. Ever. Today my mom and I peeked in here randomly and she immediately jumped on ordering the BLT on rye (which she loved!). I ordered the gyro and fries but the owner misheard me and I instead got what tasted like homemade potato chips. They were not the slightest bit greasy warm out of the oven and some were a little soft and others were very crispy so it tasted homemade. I needed salt/pepper and then they were perfect. Although my gyro didn't have a lot of meat, the lettuce and veggies on top were abundant and super fresh! I ate it with a fork like a salad, light on the meat. With the yummy light dressing it came with, it was the perfect dinner for me tonight. I feel sated and that it was pretty healthy. They also had a bunch of traditional sandwiches on their menu like a Philly cheeseteak, jalapeño and avocado burger, fish and chips, etc. So, now that I've broken the seal and realize you don't have to get fried chicken when you come here, I will be trying all the above over the next few months whenever I get that diner food itch. I'm thinking maybe a post hike Mexican burger on Sunday. ****Regulars here, please DM me ideas for what to order. I read at least two three star reviews of this place that complained about the service and then had to admit their food was bomb. Lol!

This was a nice way to spend a few hours. The space is neat. It's as small, somewhat dark ambiance with the windows blacked out. So, you do loose your sense of time a bit inside. That's actually nice as it feels like you went somewhere/somewhen else for a while. We had a Manhattan and a Kentucky Mule, and, additionally, we had three different shareable appetizers. First thought, we ordered and devoured a really exceptional cheese plate. I know cheese plates seem a little meh sometimes, but this was really good! I would absolutely order it again. In fact, I would definitely go there just to have the cheese plate again with a drink, a glass of wine. We also had the three tacos shareable. There were three tacos that were stunningly good. Lastly a dish with some little steak medallions and a shrimp. Each of these was about two bites and the flavor and texture was excellent. All three of the shareables and the drinks were exceptional. I have to call out that, with the cheese board, came a little loaf of bread. That bread was really good all on its own. I would definitely want to eat it. I can still taste it. It was really good, but my wife, she's gluten intolerant. They offered, because she couldn't eat the bread, they offered to also bring her out some gluten-free crackers, so she got to enjoy the cheese board just the same without the bread. They gave her the crackers, and do you know, they just gave her those extra. They didn't ask for something more. They didn't do anything. They just took care of her. I really appreciate that. I have to also give a shout out to the Jessica. I don't know how she did it, but she was taking care of the whole room of tables I think. Nice. We ordred all three shareables at the same time and she thoughtfully said, 'do you mind if I course these out for you?' We said yes and she did. I don't think anybody felt like they didn't have everything they needed, so a shout out to you, Jessica, really well done. We're grateful for the service and the high quality dining experience that you gave us on a moment's notice. I hope we can visit again soon. And, especially we want to check out The Boardroom soon. NOTE: This is in a kind of older looking strip mall. Don't be concerned about that at all! It threw us off a little at first and we did wonder when we pulled in though if we were in the right place. Happily, we were!

I really liked the cozy pub atmosphere. They even have a table in the back of the restaurant with a sign saying "Worst Seat In The House," haha! Service was quick and friendly. We started off with the arugula and beet salad since we were starving, and we devoured it. We also ordered the pot roast and the bangers and mash. Both were delicious and comforting. The pot roast was fork tender and I really enjoyed the savory, tart sauce it came with. I also really enjoyed the gravy on the bangers and mash. We had a good first impression of this pub and will keep it in mind when we're in the area.

From the moment we sat down and the server came to our table she was completely unpleasant and had a major attitude. Very condescending but with a smile. It was as if she didn't want us to be there and took it out on us. If I were the owners I would seriously be concerned with this server taking care of customers. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the food, but we weren't willing to spend our money in a place where we're not welcomed. So, we walked a few minutes down the road and went to the Grazie restaurant. Amazing experience. Amazing customer service. Don't spend your money in places where you get poor service. There are too many choices out there! ***I can't reply to the owners reply (there's no option in Yelp) to my post so I'm adding my reply here. I do hope the owner sees it. What's a shame is that owners like you don't take accountability for your servers providing poor service. If you were so-called only 10 feet away then you would have noticed that we walked out and you would have noticed that your server was rude and condescending when we asked her simple questions about the menu. If you were so-called only 10 feet away and you were such a great owner then why didn't you care that we were leaving? How about you take accountability for your establishment and your employees... you know what's really sad about this... as an owner this is how you respond? What kind of owner are you? After your response , why would I ever want to discuss this face to face with you? You called me a liar. If you don't care, and you want to respond unprofessionally, well, that sounds like a you problem. I was in the food and service industry managing multiple restaurants for many years. I know how to treat customers and when I need to have a conversation with my employees for their poor behaviors. I would definitely never go to a restaurant where the owner doesn't care about their customers experience. Good luck with everything!

In 1996, I was making $4.75/hour California minimum wage. In 2026, its now $17, or even $20 for fast food workings. The fresh, hot, crispy, and toasted sandwiches are always a "Delite"! Prices have increased over the years, but not offensively. My recent Assorted Delite "half" sandwich was $11.50 but still as big and ginormous as I last remembered and plenty of food for one big person like myself. The fresh rolls is toasted perfectly, not burnt, the inner white bread stays fluffy and doughy. There is enough ham, pastrami, and salami proteins to keep you satisfied, and just the right amount lettuce, tomato, and onion. The ingredients are nothing exotic, but somehow this magical delicious combination can't seem to be replicated anywhere else in the world except humble, dull, sleepy Novato California. Why? $11.50 might be seem pricy...but in 1996, I was making $4.75/hour California minimum wage. I ordered a large sandwich extra crispy to go. Dropped a 10% tip in the jar and proceeded to wait for my order. Went back up to confirm I asked for extra crispy, and the guy at the register said I had. When I received my order, I walked out to my car, and squeezed the sandwich to test crispness. Nope. No crunch. Walked back in and said, "I ordered extra crispy and it it's not." The guy said. "You want it crispy?" To which I responded, "yes, that's why I ordered it extra crispy!!!" He said, "ok, I'll make it crispier for you," When it was ready, he said, "here you go, babe." Babe!? I kept my cool but Wtf? You don't know me and I'm not your babe. When I got home, I realized that yes, they had toasted the sub more... along with the tomatoes and lettuce. So I ended up with hot veggies, which made the sides of the sandwich totally soggy. Worst sandwich I can remember having. Thanks for nothing, 'babe.'

While not every dish is a standout, we've had enough positive experiences here to keep coming back. Here's what we thought about our latest order: Som Tum - Very fresh and packed with flavor, but it was a bit too zesty for my personal taste. While it wasn't bad at all, it's probably not something I would order again. Kai Ka Prow - I decided to try something new, and the flavors definitely did not disappoint. The chicken was slightly dry, but the seasoning and overall flavor profile made up for it. A solid dish that I'd consider ordering again. Pad See Ew (Beef) - This is my go-to dish and it delivered as expected. Some pieces of beef were more tender than others, but the dish itself was full of flavor. The portion of meat was generous, making it a satisfying meal. Golden Crab Rangoon - One of our favorite appetizers. They're crispy without being overly oily or greasy, and the creamy filling is delicious. The best part is the cheese pull when you enjoy them fresh out of the fryer.

Crushed peanuts on the top did spill everywhere when we opened the container which was a little annoying. The Gang Karee Prawns entree was very watery and bland. I usually really enjoy this place and always recommend it, so this was disappointing. Oh they are now offering pho!
