Our server, Sue, was the sweetest ever and she was GENUINELY so kind (not the fake customer service kindness, but ACTUAL kindness) whenever we requested additional menu items. Came here for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ on a Saturday afternoon. Overall, it's an okay experience, but there are better AYCE options in the area for the same price. The basic menu is fairly limited, and we mostly stuck to beef brisket and bulgogi. The biggest frustration was the ordering system -- everything is done through the app, and you can only order a few items at a time. That makes the experience feel slower, especially while actively eating. The wait times between delivery to the table was also inconsistent. Sauces were also pretty underwhelming compared to other KBBQ spots. Not bad, but nothing standout. I'd give it about a 2.5/5, and I'm not sure I'd return with so many stronger competitors nearby. read more

For the price point, you can't really complain about the quality! Solid KBBQ place and I like how you're able to order more side dishes and get free ice cream at the end. I would come here just for the brisket and beef belly (they put the beef belly on the next tier to encourage you to upgrade). This is my go to spot for korean bbq whenever me and my girlfriend want to sit down and eat good food and have a nice chill time. I would say the service of the place is great most of the time if the code they use to order works, but if not they usually will come around to help you if you ask. They are busy at times so patience is key for sure. Service is great, but once we started ordered on app, it just slow but we caught one of the helpers (Hispanic) and he was happy to help. The meat is fresh and tastes greatly. The grill work (this time) without problem. The place is old but clean and packed with the meat grilling smell so don't wear anything fancy or you will be smell for awhile. X Some cuts of beef belly tough. X Delicious pork jawl X Ban chan tablet X (Convenient feature but ours was not working at first and we were waiting for 20 minutes with no sides. That affected our time limit. ) Service by some waiters were good, others were rude. Overall, they were too concerned with their time limit. I know they get busy, but I want to enjoy my experience, not rushed. I felt so rushed, I did not get to try other things on the menu and we went with the premium do that we had no limitations. We're not trying to hang out there all day, but at least allow us to get what we are paying for. One last thing is they are so strict to the 3 meats per order. I wanted to start with 3 ribeyes but they won't let you. You have to order 3 different kinds of meat each time. Needless to say, been there, done that. What a cute low key KBBQ place! Everything is ordered via phone but it looks like you could order by paper if you wanted to do that. We got there a little after they opened and there was no wait. They have three different menus to chose from for kbbq and we chose menu A. Different menus have different types of meat, but we weren't looking for a wide selection. It's all you can eat, but you have to wait a couple minutes between ordering meats. I like that as it seems like a good way to prevent waste/ over ordering. The banchan selection is by order and I do wish they included more variety. The cucumbers weren't the typical kimchi cucumbers I was thinking of but they were still pretty good. Red Castle is my go-to KBBQ spot because of the familiarity and the price, not necessarily due to the quality of the meats or service. BUT with inflation, I'm honestly not sure if the cost is that different from other KBBQ spots with higher quality meats. There are TVs playing various k-pop groups all around the restaurant, dimly lit, and doesn't have the best ventilation. They changed up their banchan ordering system and you can order on a tablet at your table which is convenient and great to avoid unnecessary food waste, but the banchan normally takes a while to come out after you place the order and they'll typically forget some orders. My friends and I generally order from Menu C because we're fans of Galbi, and try some of the other options from the menu. We have a theory that there's a 'good brisket' and 'mediocre brisket' container; your first order of brisket will come from the good container and absolutely melt in your mouth, and the orders following that will be from the 'mediocre brisket' and be stringy and tough to chew. That theory also goes for the beef tongue, and belly. On the bright side, the marinated choices are always pretty solid and the meat is of course juicy. Overall, it's not a bad place to go to if you're craving KBBQ, but the restaurant does struggle with quality control and attentive service. It's a good option if you prefer marinated meats as opposed to dry ones. read more

There's 3 options to choose from Menu A, B, and C and usually for Korean BBQ places I feel overly heavy with the meat portions/cuts but we did not at all. Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and it was poppin! Very spacious inside with plenty of seating for all group sizes. No outdoor seating. Service: I didn't catch anyone's names, but all the workers were quick, efficient, and attentive! Each worker constantly checked up on us which was much appreciated. Empty plates were also removed very quickly. Meats & sides: We went with Menu C that included both Menu A & B + more. We ordered sides from the tablet. You can order as many sides as you'd. All the meats tasted high quality! We enjoyed everything, but our favorites were the Red Castle Angus Beef Brisket, Red Castle Beef Belly, and LA Galbi! We also ordered more sides from the menu. The corn cheese came in a generous amount. The stone kimchi fried rice was sooo flavorful! My bf got the volcano steamed egg and tofu soup. If you value time, service and quality of food... this place disappoints. This place used to be better when servers would serve you. All went down hill when they had screen displays at each table and that barely worked since every time you placed an order on the screen, it takes like 15 minutes to get anything out from kitchen to table which includes sides. Sorry Red Castle, you became worse than mid. Bullgolgi down the road has you beat on affordable KBBQ on all aspects. My friend and I literally spent about 90% waiting and 10% eating and maxed out our stay til an hour and a half that they have enforced... My coworker's son said Red Castle was his favorite AYCE Korean BBQ place, so we decided to check it out. Parking was easy in the large plaza's lot. There was a short wait to be seated after scanning the QR code to be added to the waitlist. The interior is not the biggest but I also wouldn't call Red Castle small. I found the tableside tablet unique for ordering banchan. It was cool only ordering and refilling the banchan you want (we ordered almost all of them). We especially liked the sliced radish that also includes sliced beets, which gave the radish a deep red color (they were soaked together). They even had tortillas on the tablet! Service was fine, with our server checking on us periodically. All meat orders must be done with the waiter. The interior was simple but clean. All of the dipping sauces can be assembled yourself as there are large bottles set on the table, which is also convenient. The food is the same price all day long, and there are three tiers of all-you-can-eat: A (cheapest), B, and C (most premium). We opted for the B level which had the large and small intestines I wanted. The C level comes with most of thicker beef steak cuts and things like baby octopus. I found the pricing very fair for February 2025, $25.99/person + tax for the B set. The food was tasty, and the quality while not extraordinary was more than decent.
