Abbreviated menu today because of the World Cup USA game VIP seating. Still enough on the menu to leave full and happy. The Polish Sandwich was super.

Came here to watch the Mexico vs. Ecuador game...got a yummy pretzel sandwich with a nice cold beer and with family and friends. It was so much fun. The vibes and the service were top tier. If you want to watch the World Cup in a fun environment, come check them out!

I cant express how much I enjoyed my experience here!!! From the start the service was so friendly, at the time we got to pick our own seating since it wasnt too busy- we opted for the patio seats and it was a great vibe. We started off with some drinks, the Bex Wine was sweet, not too dry, and super refreshing! My partner got the Erdinger beer and it was light and citrusy! We of course had to get their pretzel which was HUGE!!! I thought we wouldnt be able to finish it but it was too good not to... the beer cheese, mustard and spread were all complimented well with the hot, crisp and buttery pretzel. We also got a side of fries, super crispy and battered- my fave! My partner got the polish sausage, stacked with sauerkraut, peppers, and onion!! Super snappy sausage and very generous portions. Nonetheless, I love how you can just flip a sign to indicate when you need service- super convenient. I can see myself going back here to try their other items!!

How I have never been to this place is new to me! It's such a neat place to go- it will immediately transport you to Germany! They even have a supermarket within the restaurant that sell snacks, candy and other things from Germany too. We ordered the port shank and wow- amazingly delicious in every word and perfectly smoked. It's also crispy outside too. They have a 35oz and a 45oz. 35oz was plenty and could be shared among 2-4 people. It's a LOT of meat. Of course we ordered a few other things to try and everything was fantastic. The staff was also very nice. There is an indoor and outdoor seating too. We sat outside and the weather was just perfect.

This is a great place to have some good drinks and good food with friends, but why has no one told me they have a village kitty that comes to beg for food. What a cutie. Made this a 10/10 experience. Here are my food ratings: Sausages, 7/10 - delicious but my favorite part was the sauerkraut spatzle, 9/10 - perfect to pair with beer corned beef, 9/10 - i was craving this all week and wasn't expecting to see this on the menu (it's seasonal). so happy. thank you for fulfilling my specific cravings. This place has a great ambiance. Next time we come I hope to sit near the little den they have outside. Will be back soon!

We made a reservation on Yelp for 5:30 to see Gilbert Bonilla as Elvis. We arrived on time and Nobody was there!!!. We walked into an empty room and seated ourselves. There was no food or beverage service available. This is the first and last time I'm ever making a reservation with Yelp. It's 6:30 and nothing is happening yet. Elvis walked by dressed in black slacks and a gold jacket. Nothing is happening and we're hungry, so we left to go to an Italian restaurant.

I adore this restaurant! The parking in the back is easy and accessible. There is plenty of parking, and it's also across the street from Costco! This restaurant has a little market inside with imported goods straight from Germany! When we visit, we love looking at everything because it reminds us of our travels (it reminds my fiancé of his home). We also enjoy trying their new rotation of snacks and treats. For the restaurant, we prefer sitting outside. We are always seated very quickly. They have a two colored block that allows servers to know if you need to order, you need support, or if you've already paid. We always order their half liter of beer and occasionally a full liter. My fiancé always gets their Hefeweizen and I always get an IPA. For food, we opt for the jagerschnitzel and their spatzle. This time, they had a fun February cocktail menu and weekly specials! My brother ordered their fish and chips. Food reminds me of Germany and completely authentic. When ordering fries, we always get curry ketchup and mayonnaise for extra measure. It's delicious here and freshly made. We've been here so often that I can't count it. We'll be back very soon!

Backstory: For inexplainable reasons i do enjoy a good girthy bratwurst on many an occasion. especially the first bite when it explodes juicily in your mouth is so yum. So my excoworker whose german brings me and another coworker here for a more authentic experience, there was this i guess more hipster bratwurst place in LB we tried previously and i was ok with it but my broworkers brats were burnt and so here we are. In a nutshell:Ok i think i came here before maybe some event but i guess when a german brings you in and does the ordering it's different? Brats were amazing, except it was a platter of like 4 variations and they were precut, so no girthy enjoyment tonight and also i didnt know which ones were which flavor, they all look the same you have a lighter brat a darker brat and a redder brat i couldnt really tell to be honest. The pretzel was very interesting, thin crisp exterior and inside was fluffy soft, twas delicious considering how plain it looked, Wetzels/Annes would be a thick dense oily comparison. Beer cheese is extra but delicious, imagine a watery dip cheese. The ooooonly drawback was the mustard, it was kinda basic one flavor yellow mustard and according to my german friend slash excoworker she was expecting better mustards and a variety of mustards to top. Liquids:ok the beers are 500cc 1000cc and a pitcher. the 5 and 10 are a pint mug id expect at a brewery and a big fat tall apparently normal for germans sized mug thats bigger than my face. me n my bro we both do not carry the drinking genes so neither of us will walk away if we take a L ourselves, but the 3 of us wish to have a splendid jolly time havent seen each other in some time and the beer list is quite respectable. Fransiskaner Weissbeer was a mandatory vote for me, I had it like once when i was a young college dude and ive always been looking for it again since, the normal Fransiskaner Hefeweizen can be found here regularly but the dark version ive not seen in so long. If u like non-bitter smooth flavorful beer with a touch of banana hint on the end, Weissbeer you should try. $10 for a pint $16 for the oversized mug liter. Paulaner Hefeweizen was lighter flavor more orangey, still very pleasant. We took a Liter of both and split em 3 ways, the giant mugs are not possible to pour into smaller mugs without making a mess, unfortunately theyre not allowed to just pre split a 1L into 2 500ml mugs make it easier for us to split, something about the owner watching the dispensing okaaay. Service: uses the run forest run method which im a fan of. flip the painted wood block to red up for dont bother us and green for request service. Eliminates the untimely interruptions. Though towards the end of the night i had to use the bathroom and when i came back theyd cleared away my unfinished beer, rude. Pricey brats (1 brat plate is $15). Schnitzel $24 looks massive but its pounded paper thin and heavily breaded. Copious serving sizes of beer. Criminally limited to 1 type of mustard (i dont care, mustard isnt a high priority for me, but my coworker was so bothered) Parking has 2 lots on either side of the german "village" kinda small spots and tight angles but very plentiful. Also theres a mini market on the north end of the restaurant. alot of rather expensively priced small items.

Awesome place! We came during the European Spring Fest. Live music, vendors, and games out in the biergarten. Parking is free in the lot except in the valet section that is closed off. It's best to get here earlier than later in the day. Technically, we ate inside and not out in the beer garden. Service is pretty quick if you turn the red/green block to green. That's how they know you need the the staff for something. We ordered a drink, soup, appetizer, and entree at the same time. Unfortunately for us, the soup, appetizer, & entree came out at the same time which means something is going to get cold! We didn't expect that! They should ask if we want everything to come out at the same time. That would be nice. We would have preferred the entree to come out after the soup & appetizer. What we ordered: *Ginger Ale ($4) *Cup of Beef Goulash Soup ($10) ~ loaded with beef chunks that were tender, potatoes, onions, & bell peppers. The soup was very hearty and flavorful. *Sausage Trio with Mustard ($14) ~ Nürnberger, Polish, & Arrogant Beer Mini-Sausages were served on top of Sauerkraut. I wished they were labeled or the server would have told us which one was which. I preferred the one on the right of the plate (Polish?) and hubby preferred the middle one (Nürnberger?). The sausage on the left side (Arrogant Beer?) was super dry and neither one of us cared for it. { https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=s_FAHFKUl4YqNofYZC1NYg } *Jäger Schnitzel - Pork ($24) with Potato Pancakes as the side ~ the schnitzel is done very nicely! The pork was easy to cut into and eat. I liked the wine, mushroom, & bacon gravy. Didn't really detect the bacon. *Black Forest Cake ($9) ~ oooh, very moist cake with lots of cherries! *Scoop of Imported Italian Vanilla Bean Gelato ($3) ~ this imported gelato was creamy and delicious! It paired very well with the cake! There is a store attached which sells so many European goodies! There is a deli counter and an area to buy confections (cakes & pastries). I would love to come back to experience Oktoberfest!

This was a cute little restaurant. I had the most yummiest chicken sausage. I love the onions and sauerkraut. Hubby enjoyed his beer. Good customer service. I'll definitely come back!

The food. The food. The food! So good! It's hard to find a German place anymore, especially a good one. Biergarten did not disappoint. We got the Country Schnitzel because it has sausage in the sauce so we got the best of both worlds. We also ordered the potatoe pancakes as a side and they paired very well with the apple sauce it comes with. We couldn't pass up the spaetzle so we ordered a side and mixed it in with the country gravy and added some lemon all over. Next level! Happy to see this place thriving it's such a great atmosphere and the service was great.

We came here for my birthday and had such a great meal! I should start by saying, we ordered a shit-ton of food and didn't finish anything. We ended up sampling everything and taking most of it home to eat for the rest of the weekend. It was so much food! We started with the Fried Brie Cheese $16 and the Bavarian Pretzel $14 (plus beer cheese $2). I don't know why they bother having the beer cheese as optional, of course everyone will get the beer cheese. Just add it and make the pretzel $16. I love sausages and have eaten many of the sausage options here in the past. The Sausage Trio $14 with Nurnberger, Polish and Arrogant mini bratwursts - very good. The Nurnberger Bratwurst Pair $20 with two long Nurnberger brats - super good but kind of "one note". So this time I ordered the Sliced Sausage Platter $39 which includes one each of Nurnberger, Polish, Hungarian and Arrogant Beer. This is actually meant to be a shared appetizer under their "small bites" menu. Don't judge, it's my birthday. Ok yes, it was a lot of sausage but honestly I don't think it's worth the $39. Of all the sausage dishes I think I'll stick with the Sausage Trio next time. We had ordered a side of Spatzle which are normally tender buttery egg noodles. The serving we got was dried out, bottom of the pot. Fortunately we were able to send them back and get them taken off the bill. I forgot to take a picture of our dessert - Black Forest Cake $9. This was unbelievably delicious! They also sell this cake at the next door grocery store/bakery so we may have to pop in just to get a couple more slices after work someday soon.

Biergarten at Old World Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Biergarten at Old World

I know dog are not allowed in concert area but is there a separate place my husband and dogs can sit to eat and drink while I attend the concert?

Does the restaurant take to-go orders?

Yes, you can definitely order food to go.

If I have reservations at the restaurant and also bought tickets, after eating do we need to go out and get in a line to come back inside?

No, you should be able to enter after dinner without getting back in line. The restaurant has an entrance directly to the Beirgarten.

If you make reservations at the restaurant inside and want to go to concert after do you need to buy tix or is there any sort of access to the concert?

Hi Jennifer! The restaurant is separate from the concert venue so you would need to buy tickets for the concerts. We sell tickets online and at the door. Thank you!

What time should I arrive for a concert that start at 7pm?

Check our events calendar on our website or the ticketing page! It will tell you when doors open.

Is the outdoor seat pet friendly?

Our front restaurant paio is pet-friendly! The Biergarten is pet-friendly except for concerts where a ticket is required.

    Is there still happy hour?

Happy hour is now Thursdays through Saturdays from 3pm-6pm.

Is there a German Deli and market on site? Or only order online for the German market items?

Hi Jim! We do have our European market next door to us. Their online website is www.GermanDeli.com if you would like to purchase items online or schedule in-store pick-up. Their Yelp page is "German Deli".

Hi is the restaurant open on thanksgiving?

We will not be open this year on Thanksgiving day.

I'm looking for a place to take my family for Christmas Eve dinner. Would this place have the right ambience for such an occasion?

Yes it is a totally family oriented place, food is plentiful and good. Not great food but very good. If there are young kids as well, they would enjoy it. Not fancy at all. Feels like Germany.

Do they have fried pig knuckle and ham shank on the menu?

Yes-- they do and it's 100% scrumptious.

    Do they serve CurryWurst!?

They sell it in the market.

What day do you serve the Schweinshaxe Special?

Hi, Walter, the Schweinshaxe special is on Tuesdays. Be sure to check the website for other specials, as they do change sometimes!
