It was on a traditional crust, which was a GOOD thing, because thin crusts go limp by the time you get them home. Lots of garlic - in a good way. Order was done when they said it would be. The husband and I went here on Sunday night. We waited 20 minutes for a table. We finally got sat and could barely hear ourselves across the tiny table. We waited 20 minutes, got up and told the host that we were leaving as no one even greeted us. Completely unacceptable seeing as there were many servers walking up and down the isles just looking at diners to see if they needed refills. One dude just kept walking back and forth across the room doing absolutely nothing for the entire 20 minutes. I will never go here again to eat. We had placed a take out order last night. When I went to pick up the pizza the cashier had looked at the 18% tip I left on my takeout order. He looked up at me and rudely told me to have a good night. Alright. Tipping isn't mandatory. Getting a tip on a take out order you didn't even walk back to get is a blessing. You get an hourly wage that also in AZ is substantially higher than most states offer. It was a takeout order which 15-20% is customary. I visited this restaurant yesterday 2/6/2019 at about 3 pm. I called at 1:30 to place my take out order but was put on a hold so long, it made my phone die (8:35 mins to be almost exact). After charging my phone, I tried to call again thinking maybe the first call was never answered due to lunch. Unfortunately, I was put on hold again for 4 minutes. After finally placing my order, I headed into their business to pick up my food approximately 30 minutes later. When I arrived, there were 4 tables and 3 couples at the bar. The only worker in sight was a bar tender that made eye contact with me multiple times but did not acknowledge me. After about 10 minutes of waiting(and awkward eye contact), someone from the kitchen finally noticed that I had been standing at the counter for some time. When I told him that I was picking up and order he tried to get the bartenders attention as he quickly retreated to the back. The young man helping me walked to the back doors and yelled for the bartender to come back and that I was picking up an order. The bartender reluctantly brought up my order but eagerly took my payment. With out as much as a thank you or have a nice day he tossed my card and receipt on to the counter and stormed back to the bar. I left and now, after much deliberation, I am writing this review. The food was ok. Not great. The customer service was shit. I am a resident of the white mountains and I will likely never return to this restaurant nor recommend it to any of my local or out of town friends. Wow!!!! The salmon ceasar salad was FANTASTIC. Snaps to the chef for preparing the salmon just the way I like. The amount of dressing was perfect, lettuce fresh. My husband ordered the Greek pizza. Are you fuckin kidding me? Every single time I eat at any of the Red Devil Italian Restaurants I leave with a full and happy tummy.....and guilt from eating such killer tasting caloric food. They do have healthy choices but c'mon, at Red Devil I want the Devilish FOOD. I have now been to every single Red Devil and there is no difference in any of them when it comes to pizza. The Pizza is hot, toasty on the bottom with cheese that stretches for days!! The crust has a wonderfull pull to it and this is what makes a Red Devil pizza the best in Arizona. Time after time for over 50 years they are still making it the same delicious way! This time I had the Mediteranian pizza. An olive oil base with mozzerella cheese, goat cheese, garlic, roma tomatoes, kalamata olives and artichoke hearts with spices. It was so good. My daughters had Tortelini Alfredo and they were cooked perfectly al dente and FILLED with delicious cheese. OMG, they are so good and the house made Alfredo sauce is some of the best I've ever tasted. In a town where the food is sub-par at best this is a standout and I am so glad they brought their restaurant to the white mountains. What a great surpirse. So bummed! We heard great reviews And ordered take out. They repeated my order several times and it sounded correct. When we got home we had buffalo pizza instead of BBQ chicken, spaghetti w sausage instead of meat sauce and the wrong appetizer! 6 out of the 10 people eating were NOT happy! The pepperoni pizza we got for my boys was correct and they liked it but after that experience I'm not sure we would go back. We were pretty disappointed here I am sorry to say. We waited far too long for the food and when it came out, my calzone was a completely different calzone than I had ordered. I waited again for the correct calzone to come out and when it did reach the table it was undercooked on the inside. My daughter's mac n' cheese was nothing more than penne with velteeta melted on it. My gf ordered the baked penne. The sause was terrible. Ordered take out on what I would think would be about their busiest night...July 5th. My first time up in Pine Top, as usual I want to support a local business. The fact that they were able to do an order at 6pm in 25 minutes was pretty impressive. Before I called my brother in law (who has a place up here and knows a lot of the places and how they operate) thought it would've backed up for sure. The crust is somewhat thin but not what I would classify as a St. Louis or Chicago style thin crust. That's ok with me since that's the way I prefer it. We just ordered takeout and the service on the phone was very professional. Andrew did a great job of taking our order and repeating it back to me. I picked up the order without issue. Our problem is that the order ended up being wrong. We ordered the Red Devil combo calzone, which includes pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms and green peppers. We also added 4 extra ingredients. What we got was only the 4 extra ingredients and none of those that come with that particular calzone. If we only wanted those 4 items, why would I order the most expensive calzone, when a basic calzone is on the menu for $4.50 less? This is not the only time that a takeout order has been wrong. We haven't returned for months because we had multiple orders in the past that weren't correct either. Why we enjoy sitting down and eating in this establishment, I would highly discourage ordering takeout, because it is almost like they figure you won't notice until you get home and just make it however they want. Friend ordered calzone of some sort and the fried zucchini appetizer. 45 minutes later we received a cheese covered pizza and calzone. Got our app 15 minutes after entree. Sent my pizza back due to the cheese, waited another 20 minutes for a new one. The whole thing was undercooked, tasted like vinegar and covered with regular onions (ick). Very good pizza. I have been blown away by all the good food this area has to offer. Got it for carry out and had a beer at the bar while waiting. Great selection of taps. Service was fast and great. Only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact there in no delivery option. However, I am sold on Red Devil's delicious pizza pies. Perfect crust. We come to Pinetop several times per year and eat here every trip. Hey, parking may be limited, but that means they are busy. Why, cause the food is great so come a little early (before 530 or expect to wait). The service is great, but this is a small town so think about seeing the neighbor kid and other local residents who are helpful, nice, and want to make sure you have a great experience and come back. Randy the GM is awesome. We were lucky on this trip to have him taking care of us, but any of the other employees would have been great as well. I am rewriting this review because I think it it's very unfair for management to hide my honest to god opinion. I had a horrible experience and I think people should know so that way it does not happen to them or any of their family members! Food was pretty average, very plain jane style my artichoke spinach dip was disgusting you can tell they microwaved it and it was cold in the middle of the bowl. My server did not refill our drinks and did not let me add bread and a side salad which upset us due to the table next to us had bread and salads with there meal. Overall poor management and the fact that they hid my review confuses me?? I'm just writing what went down, I did not use langue or say anything hurtful besides that this place sucks! After reading the reviews my husband and I decided to try this place. The pizza was good, but was lukewarm at best. The spaghetti and meatballs were very disappointing, and didn't come with garlic bread or bread of any type. We just expected better for spending $40 and change for one pizza and one order of spaghetti. This was our first visit and we won't be returning. read more

We visited twice during our 5 day stay- that's how much we enjoyed Red Devil! The first night we were quickly seated, our server was attentive and quick. 1 of us had a pizza, another a calzone and both really enjoyed them. I had the trio and it was amazing! A little sampler of their most popular dishes- fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parmigiana and cheese ravioli in a meat sauce. The bread is so good! Definitely ask for a basket of rolls. Our second night there we all got pastas. Husband had the baked lasagna and loved it. 2 of us had the Alfredo (only complaint is the grilled chicken breast was definitely reheated. I could not eat it- it was rubbery) one had the kids spaghetti and meatball (the other just had fries- he was in a mood!). We also shared two desserts. The carrot cake and the brownie Sunday. The brownie was fresh and definitely homemade- it had m&ms in it. The best part is we got a 15% discount because of the cabin resort we were staying at, just had to show our room key! read more
