Not bad for first timers.... Pretty good staff went in early as soon as they opened. Order meat love personal pizza , small batch chicken wings half garlic parm and half Korean. Extra crispy with dipping sauce on the side. Waitress was bomb. Thank you Kaitlyn! You rock!

This is a nice place to get together with friends for food and drinks in the Surprise area. The staff is friendly, the food is upper quality bar fare, and there is an abundance of screens if you want to watch sports. Don't expect a quiet place, though, as this opens into the bowling alley and the kids' arcade. But if you do want a more quiet atmosphere, go to the al fresco dining area outside.

Don't order the $16 pasta with chicken. Tiny portion. Complete rip off and tasted worse than pasta in a can.

Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours. If the main lot is full, you can usually find additional parking in the nearby Costco lot and walk over. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great experience. The wine tasting area is much smaller than the Avondale location, which has a much larger and more spacious setup. During our visit, we learned about the bonus bottle program and received helpful wine recommendations and tasting tips, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a quieter visit, I recommend going during the week when it's less crowded. My only suggestions would be to expand the wine tasting area and improve the parking situation. Otherwise, it's a great place to enjoy a tasting and learn more about wine!

Where do I begin. I…read moregot to the restaurant a little early and noticed that this gentleman who had just parked as well had a big smile on his face and was humming a tune as he walked towards the entrance in his nice black slacks and shirt. I walked in at 3:16 pm and was at the hostess desk for maybe 7 seconds when the same gentleman came up, greeted me and seated me. He was by the bar and we got talking about the weather, Texas, NY and life. Still early so he pulled up a chair next to my table and we continued our fun dialogue. Turns out this down to earth and very sweet guy is the owner Emilio Kimble. His wife Maria, also a sweetheart and he have brought this same natural love, care and service to their beautiful restaurant. The restaurant is big with indoor and outdoor seating, a gorgeous bar and tv's galore. My friends Barb and Luci arrived and they got their " usual" Tito's and soda plus a Cab. My Diet Coke was refilled constantly by the our very attentive waitress Emily. The food was stupendous. It had to be as Emilio's and Maria's love was contagious- Luci loved her Diamondback burger( photo). Barbara got really quiet ( a rarity)as she chomped on her tremendous pulled pork burger(;photo) and I got a special tuna salad on wheat with grilled peppers and onions and fresh avocado( photo snapped before I inhaled it). It was a beautiful sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. It was a great meal. Big portions too. The regulars poured in and the laughter and fun continued as we moved to the bigger room for the Thursday night trivia. I love that they have a Jazz night, fish fry and shrimp Friday specials, a Billy Joel tribute night, a $16 Easter Buffet in 10 days( sadly I will be in Europe) and so many fun events on the calendar. ( photos). The restaurant is immaculate and bright. There is lots of parking up front. They cater and they deliver. They open daily at 9 am except for Mondays( closed). I am here for a racquetball tournament about 3 miles north and will absolutely bring the guys for the undisputed best meal of their trip. Thank you Emilio, Maria and your lovely team for your kindness and a memorable evening.

I didn't know that. I called the number to speak to somebody to open the gate and the guy told me I had to go around. I tried to explain the guy I didn't know how to go around because I'm not from this area. He then stated "well if you didn't cut me off, I was about to tell you". That was enough for me to tell him don't worry about it. I'll figure it out. I pull up to the other gate and it's him that standing there. He asked me where I'm going and I tell him then, he rest his elbow on my car, tries to look me in the eyes and says "it was really rude of you to hang up on me like that" I explained to him "I didn't like the tone of your voice that's why you got hung up on". He then says "well, what's the address of the place you're going to" like he doesn't know where I'm going You don't need this kind of trouble just to try to go somewhere to get a bite to eat. The majority of the employees (the servers, at least) are 25 and under. Plus, this place gives off Greek restaurant vibes, like the kind where you can get a gyro, spaghetti, or chow mein all in the same place: jack of all, master of none. You think it's all going to be tasteless food, but you would be oh so wrong. Mom and dad (80+, but with it) ordered liver and onions, I got an open faced turkey sandwich, and hubs got country fried sirloin. Everyone agreed that their food was delicious. I can't speak to the others, but for me, the turkey was moist, not dry, and the gravy (which they drenched over my turkey without asking, thank you very much) had really good seasoning to it...not overly peppery like at most places. The mashed potatoes were soft, not chunky, my side of corn was very buttery and NOT served in a bowl of corn water, and my cranberries were from a can (THE BEST KIND, and yes I WILL FIGHT YOU on this). We all ordered pie for dessert and I should have went with everyone else and gotten Key Lime, but I chose cherry. It wasn't the greatest of flavor as, even though there were real cherries in it, it was predominantly cherry flavored goo. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, and I would come here again. But only with my parents, because I think hubs and I were the only people under 60, lol. 10/2026

I had never been to First Watch before, but I expected a wait. I checked in and was quoted 25 minutes for a party of four. After 30 minutes, I checked in again and was told I was second in line. A few more minutes went by, so I asked again, and now I was fifth in line. I was confused, and they explained that people checking in online could jump ahead of me. They also said they were unable to accurately quote a wait time, and that it could end up being much longer. I know many other places use a hybrid check-in system, and I've never experienced an issue like this. I understand when things simply take longer than expected, but tables were being turned over and people were being seated. I must have just been incredibly unlucky with the timing of people checking in online. After finally being seated about 45 minutes later, we put our order in right away since we were now going to be cutting it close. I'm used to breakfast places being pretty quick, but it took another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ended up being 15 minutes late to the movie. I expected the opening credits to still be rolling, so I wasn't too stressed, but we definitely missed the first five minutes or so of the movie. The food was pretty good, but my eggs were over hard when I had ordered them over medium. What disappointed me the most was that nobody seemed to care that the quoted wait time was so far off. There was no apology or acknowledgment. Our waitress was okay, but she avoided our table like the plague while we were waiting for our food, probably because she knew it was taking so long. Empathy and kind words go a long way.

Trying to book my mom's 50th birthday party was a nightmare. Emails went unanswered, phone calls weren't returned, and I ultimately had to drive there in person just to get the event booked. After finally securing the date, I waited for a follow-up regarding the details, only to discover that the general manager had been let go. I was given the new GM's name and phone number, but despite multiple calls and text messages, I was completely ghosted. This left me scrambling to find another venue with only one month before an important family celebration. No customer should be left hanging like that after booking an event. This was actually my second chance giving Lola's another opportunity because I genuinely like the vibe of the place. The first time, my group of only six people was still enjoying drinks when staff told us we had to leave at 11:00 p.m. because there wasn't enough business to justify staying open. That experience was disappointing, but I decided to give them another shot anyway. Sadly, after this experience, I won't be returning. Great atmosphere means very little when communication, professionalism, and customer service are consistently lacking.
