We visited last weekend and I wrote a review expressing our not so pleasant experience. I want to say I heard from a representative that night after my review and email to them . They were very helpful and expressed how very sorry they were for our visit experience. They offered to refund our bill and want us to return for another visit .After a few messages we actually heard from the owner himself ( which is unheard of) so it shows they really do care in making things right . I hope that their managers now pay attention to what's going on in a dining room and listen to their patrons. We visit this establishment atleast 5 times a year when we are up vacationing it was our go to place to eat so I hope that we can try it again on our next visit because there really is not another place we enjoy the food at as much as the Red Fox. Fabulous food and service. We came back after having an incredible meal earlier in the year and lightning struck twice with another great meal. Nice beer and wine selection and the Maple Jerk wings get fought over, really should have gotten 3 orders of those wings - but we did bring home the Maple Jerk sauce because it was for sale in their take out area - haven't tried one of their frozen take home pizzas yet - they do look yummy. read more

Well, we were thrilled at first to get last minute reservation for 14 of us this past Saturday evening and more so when the waitress agreed upon separate checks! Everything was find until the food arrived. I had ordered an appetizer to split with a friend. Our entrees arrived first. I was given incorrect veggies with my prime rib(which was delicious but way overpriced). As we were finishing up our entrees, the appetizer arrived without the waitress saying a word! I immediately told her it was way too late and that we no longer wanted it and to remove it from the bill. She responded with a very snippy retort and walked away. Really? I had asked to see a dessert menu, and the waitress pointed to a stand on the table. Wouldn't you think that was a clue that I was interested in dessert? Well, no. The checks were brought without her asking if we would like anything else. When I called her over to tell her I would like coffee, she grabbed my bill and said she'd be back with it updated! Please note: although the restaurant was hopping when we had first arrived, it had pretty much cleared out at this point. What could have been a truly wonderful experience was very disappointing due to one person being our waitress who thought she was quite the smart aleck. This restaurant was the best experience I had dining the entire weekend away in North Conway. I almost wish we returned for every meal. The service was great. Our waitress was honest about what she had and hadn't tried on the menu but assured us everything was good and she was telling the truth! My salmon on a cedar plank was delicious one of the best pieces of salmon I've had. My boyfriend had steak and lobster and wouldn't stop raving about it. My boyfriend tried his first mule here and kept craving them through the rest of the weekend. You really need the copper cup with these ... it adds something to the flavor I swear !!! read more

Decent restaurant that was pretty large with multiple rooms. Neat atmosphere. We got seated in the back smaller dining area, which is nice and quiet. Our waitress was nice but very slow. I ordered a hot tea and asked for cream and milk and she forgot it and it took a while to get. I could actually see her in the little hallway kitchen area eating, while I sat there waiting. Hubby Got Maple bacon pizza, brick oven style. He was a little disappointed because he was expecting a thin crust pizza, but it was a very thick doughy crust. It was extremely salty. He said he'll never get again. I had baked haddock, vegetables and mashed potatoes and it was decent. Overall it was a good place and we would probably go back and hope that we got better, quicker service. Oh also if you have a gift card by Visa, they don't allow you to charge the entire gift card. For some reason it only allows you to charge up to 80% at this restaurant leaving me have to pay eight dollars out of pocket instead of using the whole $40 on the card , which I think is ridiculous. read more

After a long day of hiking in the white mountains I was starving and looking for a nice dinner. Decided to check out the Red Fox and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Most of their entrees are cooked in their wood fired Josper oven which gives them a great flavor. They have pretty much everything from steak to pizza to seafood or burgers. This is my new go to spot while in the mount Washington valley. Tip- I arrived close to opening and the dining room filled up fast. They offer call ahead seating so I would definitely take advantage of that especially if you're gonna go on the weekends. read more

I was so excited to come back here. I visited last summer and had a great experience. Unfortunately the 2 items we came here for were taken off the menu. The lobster mac and cheese and filet mignon medallions are no longer offered. I opted for a chicken ceasar salad (great big portion) and a side of hand cut fries (amazing). My husband opted for the meatloaf and shrimp (slightly underwhelming) and white clam chowder (slightly too creamy but good). Kids got pasta and marinara and chicken fingers and fries (no complaints). It's an enjoyable experience, and even though we've always gone with large parties, they have been able to accommodate us. My fiancé and I had a great time here despite some wait! I highly recommend coming at 5:00pm or a bit earlier because there will definitely be a wait. I got the Cajun chicken Alfredo which was delicious and my fiancé got the bbq ribs which were amazing as well! The food comes out quick and they have a good menu to choose from. Stopped on in with my girlfriend for dinner. The food was pretty good! I was a little confused about the flat bread pizza oven station with no pizza at all on the menu. Other then that I really liked my food ! We loved the appetizers! The price was pretty high but it's expected at nice restaurants. My girlfriend wasn't a fan of the Cajan chicken on the Alfredo due to it being super spicy! It overall seems like the wrong chicken for Alfredo in general but other then that the food was great ! So glad we stopped here! Sam was our waiter, he answered our questions and gave us recommendations, he was also very attentive without being overbearing. We started with the wood fired buffalo wings...delicious! I had the 2 way combo with wood fired steak tips & ribs! My sides were the premium Brussels sprouts...Yummy! Our Must stop when in the Conway area. Ordered the children's steak tips for my son who is the pickiest eater. Must have been great because he finished his whole meal which happens almost never. Husband ordered the pot roast and was happy with it. Ultimate test was the pork chop because most places almost always overcook and it ends up like cardboard.
