I decided to try this place because I was really hungry and it was in eye sight at the time, and what a disappointment. I will say, the portions are humongous. I ordered the chicken tenders with onion rings, and 2 chicken tacos. I didn't enjoy either. The chicken tenders looked good, but were tasteless. The onions rings were overcooked, and the tacos I shouldn't have even ordered because I knew better. Went through the drive-through and they were really rude at the window didn't give me the condiments that I asked for and on top of that had me waiting for a long time to give me my food. Also, when I got home and opened up the food, I noticed that it was just really messy and just not made properly or put together. My biggest pet peeve for ANY ESTABLISHMENT is when they are not transparent. Charging a processing fee is fine AS LONG AS YOU TELL THE CUSTOMER BEFORE THEIR PURCHASE. Just got a chili cheese dog. I didn't think I needed to specify that I wanted one made today. What I received was inedible. The bun was dried out and rock hard. Ordered a chef salad, waiter brought out a chicken salad looked good so I didn't make a fuss, my bill was $15. and change, I was ok with the price, I wasn't ok with the Doles package salad they used , for $15 they should have used fresh salad instead of package salad will never order salad from Tams ever again wish I can get half my money back, because the chicken was good the green salad was not. I wanted to like this place since I've had other tam's locations, but from the ladies that were working here today 05/19/2026, from the moment I walked in, two ladies at the counter were just looking at me in a way it felt like they didn't even want to take my order. Shrugged it off, ordered food and the lady who took my order was the same one who came to drop off the food and the food was alright, but the lady seemed she didn't want to bother with me. she dropped the food off rudely without saying anything. Regardless of that, I still said thank you. but I noticed with the other tables who were mostly males, she was offering them condiments and napkins and if anything else was needed. Usually the other tam's are very good at the hospitality, but this location unless you're a guy, don't expect to get acknowledged or feel welcomed. read more

This morning I ordered menudo , just like last week the difference is that this time the menudo had no taste to it , like tripe in water in contrast to the menudo I had last week that was delicious, same place same food so what is it a different cook or what? Tam's is very hit or miss. The BLT is easily the best thing on the menu -- it's always fresh and never lets us down. The chicken tenders were also really good -- crispy and flavorful. On the downside, the burger was really bad. My boyfriend and I each took two bites and ended up throwing it away. Maybe it was just a bad day, but the patty was overcooked and the lettuce tasted dirty, like it wasn't washed. We also tried the asada fries, and those were disappointing too. It was mostly nacho cheese and beans -- there was no shredded cheese at all -- and the nacho cheese tasted really artificial. It just wasn't very pleasant. The fries are usually too salty for us, but other family members think they're seasoned just right. I've only ever gone through the drive-thru and I really appreciate that they accept EBT there -- way more convenient. Their horchata is hit or miss depending on the day -- sometimes it's really good, sometimes it's just okay. Ambiance-- no comment. Overall, Tam's is decent if you stick to the BLT and chicken tenders, but I would skip the burgers and asada fries. TLDR: BLT and chicken tenders are good. Fries are too salty for us but others like them. Burger was bad. Asada fries were mostly beans and fake-tasting nacho cheese, no shredded cheese. Horchata depends on the day. I have been coming here for years. You get pretty good-sized portions for your money. Restaurant is always clean and good location. I met up with two other friends here a couple of days ago, and we stayed here a while. We were not rushed out the door. I ordered the 4 piece chicken tenders, French fries, and fountain drink. Was plenty of food. I drank unsweetened ice tea and had a couple of refills as we were here longer. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked and had a great texture to it. They were not dry. I like that they give you one big ranch dressing. Please note you do have to pay 50 cents extra if you want another or any other toppings. I went there again because I like the food and service. At the register I got called out by an employee telling me that she saw my yelp review. My husband and I have been to the Tam's in Rancho Cucamonga various times. Starting at the beginning of 2022, we'd always get their crispy chicken salad. Although very good the first time, the chicken was on the dry side, but still edible enough for us to order it again. We've ordered this salad a few more times, but a few months ago, the chicken that came in the salad was inedible. It was like they cooked it over and over again and became so incredibly hard (the texture was like a very old Chicharrón). It was a sad day, but I had to throw out most of my meal. I'm disappointed that they could even look at it and thought it was okay to serve to customers. Another time, my husband placed his order ahead of time and came to pick it up. He asked for a side order for French Fries, but when he arrived they gave him a large Chili Cheese Fries... The most recent time we dined here was this past Friday 11/11. My husband ordered our dinner from the Drive-Thru. We both wanted to try the "Burger Box" which is a 1/4 lb Burger, 2 chicken tenders, and fries. It's a good deal considering our total was less than $20. Overall, the burger was decent, they gave us plenty of fries... but again... it's the chicken that's never good! (why, why.....). Although the chicken tenders were an impressive size and looked like they had juice inside, they were still incredible dry and the texture was rough that it was hard for me to eat that I had to throw most of it away. I even tried dunking a small piece entirely in the Ranch, but no... it didn't help that much. I'm not sure what their practice is for cooking their chicken, but whatever it is, the outcome is never good. I've concluded that if we ever return here, we'll never order any of their chicken again. :( read more
