Our group is composed of relatively new to intermediate-ly experienced escape room players. Some of us are on our second room ever while three of us have played 50+ games in a few different states. Midnight on the Bayou is one of the most uniquely themed and story-strong rooms we've done. The puzzles are linear yet challenging in the best way. The theming/decor, lighting effects, and sound design were really immersive as well, and there's a good variation in types of puzzles. We had to use 2 of our 3 hints and needed a nudge here and there, but the puzzles made perfect sense once we were pointed in the right direction. Game master Roy made it a great experience and we can't wait to come back to try their other room. We just did their new room, curse of the bayou. What a great room!!!!! We have done most rooms in OC so our supply is low. This room is strictly head to head, you never meet. Very fun if your team is competitive. We did 2 vs 2, I think with an experienced group, 3 on each team is good enough or ends it'll be crowded. Highly suggest! read more

Went with my friends there were four of us. It was so fun. We did the midnight on the Bayou escape room. It was so big and so fun and actually quite challenging. Definitely recommend a smart 4 people to go with for this or more people and that you are ready to be very observant and literal and critically think. This was really fun as you complete things the story continues to unfold for you. We didn't read too much of the description bc we didn't want to be spoiled but was so worth it over all we finished with 3 minutes left on the clock. Def coming back for the part 2 which is the curse one. This was a great jump for me getting back into the hobby of escape rooms. The game master was the uncle of his niece *this place is family owned* he was full of energy and had such a cool convincing evil laugh he was so f-ing cool. As a fan of DND I love theatrics and goof acting this guy is seriously good at his job. Great story telling everything was understood and he gave great hints that didn't make things super obvious just pushed us in the right directions loved that. The room was so big and super clean zero dust in site and I have allergies so I would have noticed. If my group was confused or unsure of something he would let us know who is right to help us keep things moving since it's only an hour on the clock. This was very satisfying and each thing we figured out left us feeling very accomplished. Thank you for letting us in last minute too. I accidentally booked for the wrong day right time and they came in asap like under 10 minutes to get the room ready for us and let us play. Super accommodating and kind. Truly a great experience and great people. Will be coming again ! read more

It's a head-to-head competition that brings out the best (or perhaps worst) of you as you race to solve the puzzles faster than your friends or sabotage them so that they can't solve them faster than you. It's really well organized, immersive and exciting, and also features the perfect combination of high tech/video/lighting effects and old-fashioned props/puzzles. Best escape room ever! I've done two previously to this and I left both of them not wanting to do another one ever again (even though I escaped both of them). This time, I went with a group of girls I lead at my church and they have been begging to do an escape room. I called multiple places and they wouldn't take our size and our age group of children. A few of them actually recommended Red Lantern for its large space and age appropriate limits. When I called, the person was so kind and helpful. They answered all my questions and really put me at ease. Once we were in, our game master Maximillian the Magician was wonderful in so many ways. He was kind, patient, and so helpful. He really adapted to fit the needs of the kids and gave us great nudges in the right direction. We literally wouldn't have escaped without him! He talked with us after and let us ask questions too! I definitely don't like scary things, but he eased all of our minds and made the whole experience about the puzzle rather than getting scared. All the girls went home so excited to share with their families that they escaped with only seconds to spare and I definitely would go through Red Lantern again for all my escape room needs! The game was like a story which made it so much more fun and memorable. Everything connected with each other, which made me wanna go back and retrace my steps and replay everything in my head. Definitely made me feel like I was in my own suspense/mystery movie! * on that note, I know they're opening up two more rooms and will be creating a new story plot for the Bayou! Came in here to celebrate my niece's 16th bday. We are a family/group consisting of 8 from different age brackets. A college student, a sophomore high school, two yuppies, 4 adults. We went to both Midnight at the Bayou and Curse of the Bayou. Both escape rooms are amazing. I am a newbie to the experience and was delighted to get introduced to this awesome experience here at Red Lantern Escape Rooms. Let me begin how creative the back stories were on each of the rooms. The puzzles, the effects, the creative plot and how you put yourselves in the characters' shoes as you figure out the puzzles and get to escape just wonderfully amazing. The curse of the bayou is brilliantly well thought of with high tech effects. Well actually both rooms were. The curse of the bayou is just a tad scarier than midnight at the bayou. The horror of the curse of the bayou and to be able to split into two groups in good competition to solve the puzzles added a great thrill. Our group certainly enjoyed both escape rooms. Curse of the Bayou needs a redesign. We played against some friends and they were able to win and set the record by brute forcing guesses. The punishment for guessing is not strict enough. You literally lose by playing the game fairly. Would not recommend this room until it's fixed read more

Went here for my husband's birthday with the kids (12 & 14) brother and friends. Had an amazing time. Our original Reserva somehow got scheduled for the wrong date but redlantern was extremely courteous and rescheduled us right away. The Midnight on the Bayou was a challenging and entertaining mystery to solve and although we were one minute from escaping we felt like champions anyway! A good challenge for those who love puzzles.
