We also ordered their Ethiopian coffee beans for $15 and we can't wait to try it because their coffee was good and it definitely gave us the caffeine kick we need. The barista was nice also. We went to Galveston for a getaway, and one of our routines at a new spot is visiting most or all of the local coffee shops. Red light coffee roasters did not disappoint ! I think this is the best coffee shop on the island, hands down. Miya makes the best lavender lattes I've ever had. I'm from houston and the coffee shops there don't make their lavender half as good as red light does. Miya also does the prettiest latte art!! So much talent. I can't ask for a coffee shop anymore convenient than across the street. Finally stopped by & got 2 Lattes. It's very different than Starbucks but the coffee is good! Price is decent. Love the design on top! I'm not really a buying out coffee fanatic, I usually make my own at home so I don't know if the size of cup thing matters to some. The sever was friendly & helpful. AMAZING customer service, barista was attentive and patient with explaining the difference between the coffee selection! I was super impressed with the cheese & sausage kolache. Idk what I was expecting but the dough was so gooood compared to like your regular kolache factory + I really liked the sausage they used. They also try to be very eco-friendly but not forceful on the customers by asking if they prefer certain straws. Good amount of spacing in doors to sit and study as well as following social distancing guidelines. Cute outdoors seating as well with hammocks in the front. Parking was on the street and was not a problem for me. read more

Ordered two lattes and two drip coffees this morning and was not impressed. Lattes weren't hot enough and we were charged $1.50 for oat milk on each latte and not told about the up-charge. Two girls working at the store weren't very friendly either. Customer service goes a long way with me and they did the bare minimum. I've been to Red Light before and have had good experiences, but today was less than stellar. I hope my next visit is better! read more

My wife and I walked in with our kids. We were both wearing masks and our children are under the age of ten. They told us that they had to be wearing masks. We told then that we thought the State of Texas mandate did not require children under the age of ten to wear masks. They made faces like we were lying and we asked them to look it up. I explained that we had been on the island for 7 days and no establishment had asked us to make our kids wear masks. The rude barista then told me that my daughter had scratched her nose and then touched the counter. So we turned around and left. Red Light is my favorite coffee shop on the island. The parking is simple street parking and never an issue. It's a small space but manages to have a good amount of seating. The atmosphere is cute and quiet, and the noise level and their music is never obnoxious if you need to study. It can get a little crowded on days when the farmers market is across the street. My go-to order is the lavender latte with oat milk! Their lavender flavor is great, but the amount they put in is barista dependent. I also really like their Hive Five; the coffee flavor really shines in that drink. I like that I can actually taste their coffee in the lattes, which is more than I can say about some of the other coffee shops in Galveston. The coffee can taste a little acidic sometimes if that is not the type of coffee you like. But overall, Red Light is definitely the coffee shop I recommend in Galveston! Plus, they have a student discount if you ask! read more

Their staff is friendly and takes the extra time to make you feel at home while also making some of the best coffee I've ever had. You can't go wrong with an oat or almond milk latte and the pour overs are outstanding plus it's a great spot to sit and work or study. Wife and I stopped in due to their offering single origin coffee. They had 3 different varieties to choose from as well as a variety of brewers (v60, Kalita wave, Chemex).
