I have ordered from this location several time and my experience has always been good. Last time though, I noticed that I ordered a meal that was $53 and some change. Few days later, I noticed my credit card had been charged $63. So someone there helped themselves to some tips I never authorized. Of course, I disputed the charge. Bottom line, I can't say this is a recurring issue, as it has only happened to me once, but I'll advise anyone that dines here to keep their receipts until the final charge appears on your credit card statement; probably a good practice when you dine anywhere. The staff are friendly, the food is exactly what you expect, and I love those biscuits! I'm taking the time to write this review because of manager Amy W. One day, after work, I stopped by this Red Lobster because it's on my way home. Since I knew we were having salmon for dinner, I thought it'd be a nice treat to get some of their Cheddar Bay Biscuits for our homemade seafood dinner. I asked the hostess if I could place an order for biscuits to go, and she directed me to the bar. The manager - Amy - saw me there and wasted no time in attending to me. She was very personable, without being pushy or annoying. I ended up ordering a simple gin and tonic while I waited for my order of biscuits. It was well made - not too weak, but not too strong... I know that might seem like a super easy drink to make, but you'd be surprised how often I've had a poorly made G&T. Amy kindly offered me a glass of water when she noticed that I'd finished my drink, and she promptly brought my biscuits out to me, going around the bar to hand them over, as soon as they were done. For such a simple, quick visit - and just for a to go order! - I felt genuinely impressed by the level of service. This was the best service we have ever received at any restaurant, low, middle or high class, our server was fantastic. So to start we came in just after 6pm on 5/18/14 for 2. Told there was a slight wait about 20 minutes. For a Saturday I was thrilled it wasn't longer! We sat at the bar and my husband got a tall Miller Lite and I got the Triple Berry Sangria. Both were perfect. We were seated within 15 minutes at table 7 in Jenny's section. We had ample time to look through the menu decide what we want when Jenny arrive and got our orders. She was so pleasant, had a great smile and was extremely knowledgeable. We started with their new Crispy Green Beans. The batter was good, but fell off fairly easy, but the beans were a bit lack luster. My husband enjoyed the sauce that came with them a lot. But in reality they were not good and we barely ate half the order. Jenny offered to take it off the bill because she thought they didn't look all that appetizing either. We were very grateful that she asked for our honest opinion. Our salads and biscuits arrived next, I got a house with Ranch and my husband a Caesar Salad. Both were nice and chilled and crisp. The cheddar biscuits are always a favorite and were amazing. Jenny was very on top of everything, clearing the table, getting my husband another beer and kept us informed that the beer would be just a tad late because they were changing the keg. Next came our entrees and my husbands beer arrived right behind. Our entrees were mine Parmesan Crusted Chicken Pasta Alfredo with no broccoli. My husband ordered the Woodgrilled Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops. Both of our entrees were absolutely perfect! What I love about the pasta is the Alfredo has so much flavor to it but it is quite light. Most are heavy but this was perfect. My husband did state that the scallops were just a bit over done but still quite good and he enjoyed every bite. Jenny grabbed a to go container for my leftover pasta and a bag for the biscuits. She also offered us dessert and we got the cheesecake to go because we were quite full at this point. When the bill arrived Jenny held true to her word and took off the beans since they just were not good. We left with the overwhelmed feeling of the best service we have ever received. Jenny had 5 tables that night and was handling it flawlessly. We made sure to leave a very ample tip to let her know how much we appreciated her services. My boyfriend and I dined here on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. We walked in to a bunch of people waiting, which was completely fine because we know places are busy on Saturday nights. However, the hostess was so unprofessional and unwelcoming. She never smiled and seemed irritated when more people would walk in the door and was just bossing around her help. My boyfriend and I debated on leaving multiple times but didn't want to go find another place so we stayed and hoped our service with our waitress would be better. The 3 stars are for Billie, our amazing server. The food was okay, but I could not have asked for a more friendly person taking care of us. She was a complete opposite of the hostess, this restaurant needs more people like her up front! It was an absolute pleasure to dine at this Red Lobster yesterday, Sunday, June 1. This location exemplifies their "Bay Harbor" signature design (shocking to my family and me since the ones closer to home have fallen in to a state of disrepair) and has a very welcoming atmosphere. We were immediately greeted at the door by jovial hostesses, and the three of us were seated right away. Our table, along with the rest of the visible restaurant, was immaculate in terms of cleanliness, and we were informed that our "seafood expert" would be with us shortly. Our waiter promptly arrived at our table and introduced himself as Miguel. He possessed a vast wealth of information pertaining to the menu and was able to answer any questions that we had along with making relevant recommendations. Miguel was assuredly the best waiter I have ever had at a Red Lobster and I think that many waiters and waitresses, even at upscale restaurants, could learn a few things from this young man who could be no older than 25. I would go back to this Red Lobster just to see Miguel again. I was there with my parents, so I will list what we all ordered, but only detail what I personally ate. As a starter, we had the cheesy biscuits which they include for free. We did have to wait a few extra minutes for the biscuits, but it was reasonable and worth it since we were able to eat them with the salad. We also ordered a shrimp cocktail. Both of my parents ordered the wood fired scallops, shrimp and lobster tail. This entrée included two sides and a salad (options of garden or Caesar. Both included fresh, yummy ingredients) thus my parents ordered the red potato crispy wedges and the asparagus which was a slight up charge. From what my parents proclaimed, their meal was "excellent". It was "tasty" and a "very good combination of flavors." I ordered the live whole Maine lobster with a seafood stuffing. Although this entrée comes with two sides and a salad, you do not have a choice on what sides accompany it. Red potato crispy wedges and corn on the cob are the only side options for this dish, and although these are the sides I would have ordered regardless, I would have liked the freedom to choose. Miguel did a superb job of staggering the delivery of our food as not to rush us through the meal, even going so far as planning out our food delivery schedule with us before the meal. First the salad and biscuits arrived. The greens of the salad were quite fresh and it was dressed appropriately. The ranch dressing was creamy and tasted homemade, although there was not an overwhelming amount applied. The croutons were perfectly crunchy and fresh and the rest of the veggies were refreshing. The cheesy biscuits were FANTASTIC; fresh out of the oven, savory, and just an overall tasty item. When we finished the majority of our salads, our shrimp cocktail arrived which included six jumbo shrimp and an innovative cocktail sauce with a perfect amount of horseradish contained. Even without the sauce, these huge shrimp were succulent although the use of the cocktail sauce was a welcome addition to the dish. After a short break, my entrée, the live whole Maine lobster, arrived. It was just over 1 1/2 lbs and was arranged attractively on my plate. The red potato crispy wedges, corn on the cob, the clarified butter, and my lobster disassembly tools came on a separate plate. Though there are more affordable places to get tastier seafood, this was probably the best meal I have had at a Red Lobster. My lobster was steamed well, the inside meaty and tender. The shell was easy to remove and I never had to strain myself to remove the meat. I tasted no imperfections and truly enjoyed this lobster tail. The stuffing contained enough seafood so that it was not dry and there was definitely an ample amount of stuffing provided for only $1.99 extra! The red potatoes were crispy and seasoned on the outside while the inside maintained a soft consistent texture throughout. The corn on the cob was made on a grill and tasted fresh, although the piece was a bit small. At $35, this entrée was a little pricy, but Red Lobster is generally a bit overpriced so I was not too surprised. Miguel made sure our drinks were full throughout the meal and was attentive without being pushy. The restaurant was not very crowded, although there were three very boisterous, rude women across from us. I think our waiter felt bad because he gave us one of their deserts to take home for free. The restaurant, including the bathrooms, was clean and modern. Coming to this Red Lobster was a worthwhile experience. If I am in Aurora again, I would return. read more

i havent been to red lobster in years. i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the seafood, the portions, and the presentation of the dinner. it was also refreshing to see many of the young staff all working together, with such enthusiasm, courtesy and professionalism. our server was Breshey. she is so pleasant. it was also nice to see that in addition to customers coming in to be seated, they seemed to to a fair amount of carry-out orders which in these crazy times, great to keep people working. i will definitely be back. also kudos to all whether in the dining area, and kitchen to keep the place clean and safe. read more

Do not go to this location. The service and food is not half as good as other locations. I came here today 6/7 for lunch and had the worst, laziest server ever. We had to ask THREE times for biscuits and the dude brought out my soup, salad and entree at the SAME TIME. The people at my table were even mad for me. My soup ended up getting cold along with my entree. I've never had this experience at any other Red Lobster. The server acted like every single biscuit he gave my 4 person table was coming outta his paycheck. He was being so incredibly stingy with them. I'm not sure if their management has yelled at them about giving biscuits at this location or what. To top it off, it took over 15 minutes to get a beer and we were sitting right next to the bar. Literally right next to it. Our server only had one other table in back of us too and they were almost finished with their meal. Well, even though it's Red Lobster, I have never eaten here before believe it or not. I was scared at first but most things turned out alright. You get alot of food for the price, maybe a little too much food actually. Portion sizes are a bit out of control here. The salads were drenched in so much dressing that my husbands' was pretty much uneatable. Other than that, my husband got the seafood trough or whatever it is called, he liked everything. I got the half order of salmon (normal dinner amount by Chicago standards), not bad, a little burnt on the bottom of the fillet. I got coleslaw for a side, do not make that mistake. Not only was it tasteless but it came in a dish as big as my head. For coleslaw. Oddly enough, the only thing they skimped on was the broccoli. Figures. This place has had it's ups and downs. It's been a while since I've been here. The food is just meh. I was here this past Friday for you guessed it, All You Can Eat Shrimp. They had 6 choices to choose from. 3 classics and 3 new ones. The only new I tried was the Mediterranean Shrimp which was ok. The tomatoes made up for the taste. I got the mashed potatoes, one bite and that's it. No taste. The only saving grace was our server, Mariah. She was awesome, she checked on us a few times without being intrusive. My husband and I decided to take my daughter out to nice dinner at Red Lobster. Unfortunately, the service was definitely the worse we ever experienced at any of these establishments say the least. My daughter and I split our dinner while my husband ordered the Ultimate Feast. We requested an additional plate and an extra butter for my husband's lobster. The waitress didn't bring us our Cheddar biscuits, butter, and extra plate until we're just about finished with our meal! The waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything either! I flagged down another waitress who was fantastic in refilling our drinks, bringing us extra biscuits for our bad service, and telling the manager to come to our table! My husband was so grateful, he gave her a nice tip! When the manager came over, she sincerely apologized for our bad experience, and decided to take 20% off our bill. She later came back and decided to deduct $20 off our bill instead to make things right! I used to like this place, not so much anymore. We will not be coming back. We asked for bread with the meal, it finally came when we were packing up left overs. They did send some home. We had to ask for tea refills, lobster for lobster bisque came 5 minutes after the soup was delivered to table. Strange. I would think they would make it and deliver it together. Other things too. At an hour we were told 20 more minutes. Then 15. Then 15. Etc. We were finally seated 2 1/2 hrs later. I get that it was busy but don't keep lying about the time. And we witnessed them telling people 1 he long after we had been there. And a manager came up to us and said he would "take care of us." Well nothing of the bill so my husband complained and did get some off but all in all 4 hrs there and super red next morning for work. I've been to Red Lobster many times. In fact, 14 years ago, I worked there for the summer. We were trained well. I assume things have changed but one thing that rang true for me during my last visit was how amazing some servers can be. Honestly, a great server can make your meal while a horrible one can ruin it. We had an AMAZING server here on Feb. 7th. Byron was gracious, helpful and most of all he had a personality and knew how to interact with his customers. I have to say that the service from the moment we entered to the moment we left was great. The hostess was super nice and the server (Malik) was polite and courteous. Our order was taken in a timely manner, food came right on time. The lobster was a bit overcooked I thought, but we did not complain. We paid and I was so happy with the service I tipped the waiter very well and then happened the flop. We wanted a couple of items wrapped to take home. He tried repacking our boxes in the bag so they fit better (which I appreciate), but while doing that he dropped one box on the floor and the lobster we wanted to take home fell out on the carpet. He quickly scooped it up and disappeared in the wait station, came out after a couple of minutes, put the box back in the paper bag, wished us a great day and that was it. No explanation or apology. When we got home we realized he put the lobster he picked up from the floor back in the box and sent us home with it. I consider it gross and I feel the staff should be trained to handle situations like this. Thank you, but I do not want to take my $40.00 lobster tail that you just picked up from the floor. We sat at the bar early evening, New Years Eve, 5:30 pm, just before the rush. We decided to eat at bar instead of waiting 20 minutes for a table...the bar staff were very freindly and very busy. With in a half hour, the bar ran out of beer glasses, wine glasses and non-alcoholic glasses. We didn't get the salad, that came with dinner, before our food came and ended up taking one home.
