We went on a Monday evening and it wasn't busy, but the kitchen was pretty backed up and dishes took a while to come out. The endless shrimp is $30 per person, and it comes with one side. You start off with three shrimp dishes and can order two more shrimp dishes at a time. -- I didn't love the marry me shrimp. It was on the blander side and needed salt. -- The garlic shrimp scampi was my favorite. It was buttery, garlicy, and well salted. -- The shrimp linguini alfredo was pretty good. The sauce was creamy and the noodles were cooked well. -- The coconut shrimp was good. The breading is thick and full of coconut flakes, and the coconut sauce is sweet. -- Walt's favorite shrimp is lightly breaded and served with cocktail sauce. The shrimp itself is pretty bland and the sauce is crucial for flavor. -- The hush puppies were on the smaller side but had good flavor. Welcome back RED LOBSTER!!!! The 3 course meal was yummy! You can't beat that price at $19!!! I had the LOBSTER bisque soup, a salad with sweet and sour shrimp which was topped over it, which gave it a little kick. The meal consists of biscuits galore (which were fresh and warm every time they came out to our table), shrimp luiguini and French fries and it was all amazing!!! Location: It was freezing inside with the a/c on full blast, on top of it was pouring raining outside, so I had hot tea. Moms and Auntie meals: My mom had a salad that she loves from here, and my Aunt had lobster tail and a cocktail. Service: Our waitress was friendly as we're the same for her colleagues (who came out to support me and to discuss my age which, I knew that the waitress would tell a peer or 2)... I'm not a fan of seafood at all. I know why go to seafood restaurant when you don't eat seafood?! I didn't pick to eat here but someone else wanted it so we went. Back in the day it used to be hard to get a table here because it was always so busy now you can pretty go whenever. My mom got the unlimited shrimp deal when it was going on and said it was good. I got a side salad and enjoyed a cheddar bay biscuit. There's not a lot to pick from as far as non seafood. They do have a Cajun chicken pasta, not a fan. The drinks are decent here as well. I finally got around to coming here. We were seated in a room off the bar which I liked better than the main room. It happened to be crab fest. I totally blanked out as to how to eat crab. I ordered a garlic butter sauce which I hated and always preferred drawn butter. Thomas our excellent waiter wasn't bothered by this at all. I loved the biscuits. I had a strawberry lemonade. The hush-puppies are also deep fried - and have a lot of sugar. For all this it's a $17 lunch - then add in the tax and tip. A horrible value. I've never had an issues with service here! We come here every now and then for a cheap seafood meal. This is obviously not the highest quality seafood so you get what you pay for here. I always love a taste of everything so a like a plate with a little bit of everything. You can't pass up the ultimate feast. An absolutely embarrassing customer service experience at curbside pickup today. As I called the number for curbside pickup, in instantly knew this wouldn't be a pleasant experience. I was rudely greeted on the phone and quickly hung up on. When my order came out 10+ minutes later, I was starred down and then experienced the most condescending "customer service" of my entire life. The middle aged male manager came up to my car and very rudely explained that I needed to come inside to pick up the order, and when I tried to kindly note what my app said, (to call the number and my order would be brought out to me) he interrupted me and said IF YOU'D let me finish. Excuse me?? Either he was having a bad day or maybe this is the way he talks to all of his customers?? We have been to this restaurant many times in the past and it seems like the service has gone downhill. According to their website there was a 30 minute wait and so I called and joined their waitlist so we would be seated around 7pm.We arrived early and were told that even though we were on the waitlist that it could be another 30 minutes (7:30pm). I asked the hostess what happened and she said it was the other hostess was the one who gave me the incorrect info. We also didn't see our server for literally 30 minutes after he initially took our order. We had to ask another server for beverage refills, a spoon and crackers for my sons soup. We would have picked a different restaurant if we knew that it would take an hour to be seated. There are better options with better service. read more

Came here for my son's birthday dinner. He chose this location so that we could get out of the snow that was still falling. I'd already been in the car for two hours when I finally reached Bloomington to pick him up. Being an eastcoaster, I have no patience for Minnesota drivers on a good day. When there's precipitation, my rage is increased exponentially. We started our meal with the mussels appetizer. Big mistake. The mussels were overcooked and the sauce that covered them was so strong that you couldn't really taste anything else. We were both very disappointed. I promised my son that I'd take him somewhere that makes this dish deliciously. My son ordered crab legs, along with mashed potatoes and broccoli as his side. Because of how his food was plated, his butter for the crab spilled all over his potatoes. If you've eaten mashed potatoes at RL, you know that the last thing you need is to add more fat to them. I had a Lobsterfest dish, which was two types of lobster and the shrimp and lobster fettuccine. The Maine lobster was succulent and melted in my mouth. The rock lobster was tough and overcooked and really needed the lemon butter to make it more palatable. I didn't eat the pasta until a few days later, as I was quite full. The asparagus was very tasty, though much of it went home with the pasta. Our server kept disappearing during dinner, so we had to wait for a few things. It was just long enough to start to get annoying, then she'd show up. I don't know if she had tables at a station we couldn't see. She was nice enough and refilled our drinks. RL is not a seafood restaurant, to me. It's a place where you can get fish and seafood. It's in the same family as Olive Garden (not an Italian restaurant) and Outback Steakhouse (not a steakhouse). The food is alright, though you have to watch out for some things that aren't good at all. The biscuits do still taste delicious, though they seem to ration them a bit more than they used to. It's probably a good thing, as my son and I love to gobble them up while they're warm. Maybe it's the Welsh in me and the Scottish/Welsh in him that makes warm, toasty bread such a comfort. If my son wishes to return, then I will. Otherwise, I might have to save up some cash for the one real seafood house in The Cities. Then again, I spent $125 on dinner here, anyway. read more

I don't like the changes to the menu at all. For the price of a meal the small salad should be included and not a side item, especially since we could only pick one side. I chose the rice. I got maybe a half cup. It was also different than the rice we used to get. It was terrible and I did not finish it. We got a craving for lobster today, so we went to Red Lobster and was sat down right away, no waiting at all. The restaurant pretty empty for a Sunday night on Memorial day weekend. Kelsey, our server, is very nice and wonderful. She served us with a smile and explained very detail and gave us some good recommendations . She gave us some biscuits for a starter. I always love Red Lobster's biscuits, it's very soft and buttery. We ordered Lobster Shrimp & Salmon, but they ran out of Salmon so we got shrimp to replace Salmon. The lobster is so fresh and shrimp cooked perfectly, it was served with rice and steamed broccoli. The other dish we ordered was Filet & Lobster, we asked a 'medium rare' and it came out 'well done' and the Lobster was too dry (Because the server is so nice, we didn't bother to ask to change it), the dish came with the choice of Fried and it tasted good. Let's just start out with.. I'M NORMALLY NOT A RED LOBSTER FAN. As of Friday, I may get a set of pom-pom's. LOL I was on FB or IG and an ad for Lobster fest came up... being the lobster fan that I am, I was craving lobster and it goes with my current Ketogenic lifestyle. Sooo.. my gf calls ahead and puts us on a call ahead wait list.. didn't know they did that. (I told you I'm not a normal fan. Can you slowly hear my cheer starting?) We walk in and the lobby was full. People standing on any empty area of wall they could find to lean on. In less than 5 min of checking in, our names were called and we were whisked away to our seats. FYI, Hostess was kind of enough to ASK if a table was okay vs the well coveted booth. I found that pretty nice. Ambiance: Standard Red Lobster vibe... i dont think they've had a face lift in a while, some new branding may be on the rise or may need to be on the rise. Your normal lobster freestyling in the water tank, bar adjacent was full for the 7:30pm dinner rush. Clean, despite how busy it was. Service: My server was very kind, professional and fast. She greeted, brought water and bread (which i can't have, so my gf hid it from me..pesky carbs) and one i explained to her what i had a taste for, since there was no actual meal set up like that, she was able to provide it for me. I did request olive oil for my salad, since I cannot eat dressing and she was KIND ENOUGH to be HONEST and tell me that they do not have olive oil, but only vegetable oil. [sidenote: that means in the past when i've asked for olive oil, they disgustingly served me vegetable oil for my salad! groooooooossssssssssssssssssss] So i just asked for extra butter for my 2 lobster tail and grilled shrimp and used that on my salad. Sounds gross too, but if you understood the keto diet, you would hi5 me. Food: Was great. Both my gf and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. 5 stars for food. The "Ultimate feast" is THE best. The shrimp scampi is buttery and garlicky. The lobster is perfect dipped in the shrimp scampi gravy. The crispy shrimp is great too. The cheddar biscuits are addicting. I give 1 Star for the service. They need to polish up their customer service a lot more. The waitress was new and wasn't familiar with the menu - I give her a pass. My empty water glass was ignored so I asked a bus boy to fill me up. He explained an unnecessary long story about how he doesn't get mad when people ask him to get something. When we paid our bill, however, the same bus boy asked if I needed a refill. I said, "yes" and I sensed he was hoping I'd say no because he rolled his eyes. My table was wondering why he reacted this way. He clearly got mad. I love the dish called Bar Harbor. I've ordered it 5 times during the past year. Twice it was mind blowing good. The last 3 times it was like they forgot how to make it. I also LOVE the dragon broccoli with the dragon sauce on the side because the keeps the fried broccoli crisp but also that sauce packs some heat. But it is delicious! The quality of food has steadily progressed in a downward spiral at The Red Lobster overall. We had sworn off coming back here, but since we had been given a gift card, we had to go. I usually order the soup and salad. A long time ago, it was bottomless, and then they stopped that. I always had to ask for shrimp on my salad even though the menu says it comes with shrimp. Today I was told that the soup no longer comes in a bread bowl, even though the menu has a picture of the soup in a bread bowl. You can bet Red Lobster will be getting some feedback about that.
