Ah, Texas Roadhouse. The only one I have ever been to was in Omaha, Nebraska. The family unit decided to go to the one in Apple Valley, Minnesota to celebrate the start of the new school year for our 11 year old daughter who would be starting the 6th grade. We decided to go early since this location tended to be busy on a Saturday evening. We signed in online to the waiting list to eat at 4:00 pm (no reservations for this location). We showed up on time and got seated immediately. The wife and I got a couple of martinis, and asked for them on the rocks. They came in a martini glass, no ice. Still no big deal, but they were a bit small. We didn't order apps, but chowed on the fantastic homemade famous bread and cinnamon apple butter. We paced ourselves, and only got two total baskets since we didn't want to get too full. Yummo. My daughter ordered from the grown up ranger kid menu, and got the petite steak and steak fries. The wife got the tenderloin medallions with rice, a loaded baked potato, and broccoli. I got the 14 ounce Fort Worth ribeye with mashed potatoes and gravy, and a loaded chili (which I didn't eat but brought home). The food came out quickly, and the steak was cooked to order (the kiddo got it medium well, the wife medium well, and mine ordered medium). All in all the food was fantastic. The wife's medallions were super tender and spiked with a peppercorn topping. The kiddo said her steak needed more seasoning, but she polished off all of it. My ribeye was excellent, but I only ate a 1/4 of it since it was so rich, but very tender. I may or may not of helped my wife eat hers though. The kiddo ended the dinner with a nice fat piece of strawberry cheesecake. A bit skimpy of the strawberry topping, but the cheesecake was very good. All in all, the meal was very good, and the price of the meal was pretty on par for a working man's (person) steakhouse. The only hiccup of the night was when we left to go home. The dang SUV wouldn't start! We had two separate good Samaritans try to jump the battery, but no go. AAA was called (thanks sis! She lived a few minutes away). Turned out I needed a new battery. So $350.00, and two hours later, we finally made it back home. Expensive night out? Um yes. Stupid battery. But the food was great! We will come back to this location again. Just be aware that this place was pretty full, even at 4:00 pm, and it was LOUD! Good energy in the place though, and our server was excellent. read more

We came here for our 5th year anniversary and my niece's birthday. It was a bit of a long wait even with a reservation but definitely worth it! They sing the yee-haw song if it's your birthday and they also give you an option to ride the saddle. The birthday celebrant also gets a complimentary ice cream. The place was packed and busy but our servers came to check on us frequently. I got the 12 oz ribeye with ribs which was definitely too much food for one person ha! I don't think I have to go into details on how the food was because they were all delicious! The dinner rolls is always a bonus and you must try the onion ring flower when you visit any Texas Roadhouse! 11/10 would always recommend! read more

We came here for Father's Day so we expected the wait to be longer but we did the wait ahead which is nice since we live close by. By the time we got there our table was ready. Food is always consistent. We usually do the prime rib because we can't pass on a good prime rib. The kiddos love the Mac and cheese so we usually do those as our sides. The chicken critters are a must try. Really can't go wrong with anything here. Sadly our waitress did not come back to check on us often, we needed a few things and waited a while for it. So disappointed we barely got any bread unlike the other times we've been there. That's the best part! It was very busy for fathers though so it was fine but service could've been better. They had activities outside for Father's Day, a bounce house, face painting, and bags. I love how they make it fun for the whole family here. read more

The quality of food at this location is consistent and service is friendly. It gets super busy on Friday and Saturday during dinner time, so definitely join the waitlist ahead of time. The cactus blossom is a classic and the dipping sauce that comes with it goes well with the fried onions. The twisted mozzarella sticks are nice and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. They have A1 steak sauce available, and all day $5 10z margaritas (flavors are an additional dollar), long islands, and 16 oz Castle Danger Cream Ale. Their salad greens are super crisp and fresh. During peak times it gets very loud inside, but even during peak times food comes out pretty fast. I've also catered from this location for a party of around 40 people and they were super easy to work with. Service from Jeff was exceptional and the food arrived piping hot and on time. Catering delivery is available for an additional fee. The catered dishes tasted just as good as dining in. I would definitely cater from this location again! read more

We stopped here to try something new and we were pleasantly surprised. On a Tuesday night, the place was packed. Lots of families and bigger groups but they managed to find a booth for us and seated us immediately with a basket of warm bread and cinnamon butter. I decided on the ribeye with beans and a salad as my two sides. The steak was quite good. Cooked exactly the way I ordered it. Very happy with that choice. The beans were just ok. I prefer less 'stuff' on my veggies. The salad was great. Came with a hard boiled egg topping and all fresh ingredients. It was a perfect size as well. Service was excellent. The staff does a line dance every 30 minutes and it was fun to talk to our server about that job requirement. The patrons seemed to love it. We had a great meal and the cost was quite reasonable. Mistakenly ordered the Baked Potato! My Friend had the small 6 oz Sirloin and Baked Potato and Caesar Salad as his 2 sides! Everything was better than expected, a definite 4.5 ! Service while attentive was fine, extremely busy at 5 pm Friday! I'd highly recommend the food and prices were very reasonable! It's always a good time at the roadhouse! For a chain restaurant they are one of the better ones. Service is attentive and the food is full of flavor. The portion sizes are large and are a fairly good value. I'm a little obsessed with the cold plates they bring salads out on. A cactus blossom is a good shareable to start with. Dined at Texas Roadhouse recently and it was great! We had the cactus blossom which is fried onion pieces and a cajun dipping sauce. It was very savory and one of my favorite dishes at Texas Roadhouse. We of course had multiple orders of the rolls - the cinnamon honey butter pairs perfectly. For the entree my dining partner and I shared the 8 oz sirloin and rib combo which came with two sides - we did fries and a caesar salad. The food always hits at Texas Roadhouse. We went here recently and liked our experience overall. Service was quick and we got there just before 5pm, so we were seated immediately. The ambiance is what you would expect of Texas Roadhouse! Very woody and cabin-like vibes. It's very family friendly and easy to eat here with kids. You don't feel like you're bothering anyone because everyone there has their small kids with them! We ordered a steak and I ordered a country fried chicken dish. My chicken was just ok. I absolutely loved my husband's steak. I loved the mashed potatoes and vegetables. Not a huge fan of the gravy. It was a bit over salted. The rolls were good, but not as buttery as they used to be. Not sure if they changed their recipe or if the one I tried in the South was just different. I also noticed they don't bring out peanuts unless you ask. We totally forgot because we have our small kids with us and didn't want to have them ask for peanuts. I do like that they don't have them out, because it's a choking hazard for small kids. Definitely get the cheesecake - it's delicious! Texas Roadhouse really takes care of Veterans on Veteran's Day. You can obtain a coupon for later or dine in. We both had the country fried sirloin and it was very good. The gravy is salty. Lots of side choices but don't miss the loaded baked potato. We both ended up taking home enough for another meal each after eating so many amazing rolls. No room for dessert on this trip. Amazing bread and the steak was nice and tender service great only downside was the table was kinda dirty.

First time going to this location. Food arrived so hot and I couldn't wait to dig in. The steak was tender and juicy. It was a really good steak and the BBQ chicken was moist and not tough to eat. My family got a couple of steak and shrimp dinners, I got the roadkill entree, and we got the ribs and fries app to share. With my birthday app, they gave me a scoop of ice cream and a card too. Great food and service. I travel a lot for business and always seek TR because I know my meal and service will be great.

The only reason I am giving this a 3 stars is because of their friendly and quick service. I've been here about 4-5 times already and in the beginning, when they first opened, the honey cinnamon butter buns were always so fresh and buttery, but now, I don't know if they cut down on the butter glaze on top or what but it's not the same. Still tastes great, don't get me wrong, but not as yummy as I remembered them to be. I usually order the half stab of ribs but this time decided to do the ribeye. I asked for medium well and my steak ended up being well done. No pink in the center and it was a little dry. I didn't feel like asking for a new one because I was very hungry. We went here for the first time and brought our baby. First we had the rolls which were amazing. Our son liked as well. I ordered the Dallas filet with a loaded sweet potato. IT WAS AMAZING. Only thing I didn't like was that it was 50 cents to add marshmallows on top. Seems silly to me. My husband got the all American burger. He said it was one of the best burgers he's had, and he is very critical of burgers. They have the thick cut fries. I liked the seasoning on them. We gave our son the applesauce: he seemed to like it. Our son was playing on the table iPad thing. We didn't know he bought a game for $2. Our waitress did not notice either when our bill came/ we had already paid and she apologized and said if she would've noticed she would've taken it off. As most people have said, it's loud. But we had a baby so when he was loud no one noticed, which we liked and why we went there. It is a little expensive but the food is worth it. Came for dinner tonight with my husband and daughter. Our server, Lincoln, was so pleasant and attentive and extra patient with our daughter. All of the staff we saw were hard working and fast and our food came out hot and perfect. The yummy rolls with honey butter as we were seated was exciting too! My husband got the sirloin and said it was great. I had smothered chicken with mashed potatoes and salad- no complaints at all. The chicken was tender, the onions and mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and the potatoes were flavorful. The side salad had a little egg on top which was exciting because that doesn't usually come on a side salad and it's my fave! Meh. It's a fine place, very noisy & loud around dinner time though. Steaks were cooked to order and done correctly which is nice to see when compared to several other restaurants in the area. Family had no complaints about the food or the drinks. Prices for the meats seemed a bit high to me but my wife thought they were in line with other restaurants nearby. Ended up with a higher bill than expected as we were double charged for a couple things (as I'd said to them, I thought soda refills were free). Our biggest issue was that it's just so dang LOUD inside! I was gifted a certificate for this place recently, don't know if I'll actually ever use it. If we do end up going again, it'll be with ear plugs and we'll ask to sit against a wall somewhere in a corner. We couldn't have a conversation, and my son who is already quiet, was almost incomprehensible during our visit. This whole thing really brought the place down in my mind. Great experience at this Texas Roadhouse which is hard to believe hasn't even been open for a year yet! Sydney our server was so great! She was extremely nice and just intuitive to all our needs and how we liked our food cooked. She also offered suggestions on what she liked off the menu and was helpful when it came to the alcoholic beverages. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, which was pleasant since the Minnesota winters are cold. It was also fun to experience other guests birthdays as the Texas Roadhouse team did a loud "YEE-HAW" to celebrate their special day. Such a great experience for a couples dinner here. I appreciated the great customer service, cleanliness, food preparation thoughtfulness and just overall warm hospitality. Definitely will be back here again soon! read more
