Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expect different results. That is the essence of our experience with Red Lobster. Each visit ends with "we are not coming back"! The latest visit started with a waiter that could not get anything right and we had to request a different server and then my salad was delivered with a large piece of the lettuce core buried in the middle. They then failed to deliver my wife's backed potato. The food was served luke warm which seems to be a common problem st this restaurant. We will try and break the insanity cycle and eat somewhere else. read more

Went for lunch with my wife. Food took extremely long time, we asked the server, and he said the kitchen had a lot of new guys. When we did receive the food, it was not good. I ordered lobster tacos that were cold and the tortillas were over cooked. My wife had the crab alfredo, and her sauce was broken and looked like a pool of butter. We never saw a manager, or I would had spoke with them, but we figured they were trying to help the kitchen. Not gonna rush back to that location. read more

Meh...... that's the best I can say. I haven't been to red lobster for a few years and I remember why. I had a gift card so thought I'd give it another try - not going back again. The service was good but both our entrees were not that good. I had the "four item feast" rice pilaf was uncooked - crunchy like raw uncooked rice straight out of the box and everything else had a greasy kind of nothing taste to it steamed broccoli -?greasy, grilled shrimp was greasy and had no real taste and skip the Caesar salad - basically lettuce with a little shaved cheese on top. My wife's fish wasn't any better supposedly broiled and came out slimy and greasy again-- not even buttery, just greasy. They get one star for good service and the cheese rolls........ should've just had cheese rolls. everything else------ meh is the nicest way to put it. The place is pretty $ which is fine if the food is good but this isn't - not at all. I didn't go through the hassle of sending it back because if you have to send both meals back - why would the replacement be any better? read more

I just don't get it. Red lobster is considered a more upscale restaurant. Their service is extremely slow. Everyone is friendly when they were at the table but generally nobody ever checks back until it's too late. Never got biscuits with the meal and let's face it that's why we go there. Was given some in a bag when I left. My daughter service was so slow she did not get to finish the meal with us and actually left with no biscuits. Paid extra for the roasted vegetables and had to send them back they were hard as a brick and no flavor. By this time told them just to forget the other side and bring us the check Very unhappy with this experience today and doubt I will go back to that red lobster unless forced to Because of some social commitment. Like I said everyone is friendly when they speak to you but that does not make up for the poor quality of the food and the timeliness of the service read more

Clearly, anyone with a brain would never go to a Red Lobster for good seafood. But, being given a gift card we went anyway. The food was AWFUL. Everything was rubbery and dried out because it was sitting under a lamp for hours. The lobster was a disgrace. I hate this place. read more

Red Lobster has never been one of my favorite places to eat- HOWEVER, they recently built a new one here in Denton and the location is sooooooo much better that I decided to give it a whirl. My Mom and I went in for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by their new wood grilled varieties on the menu. We went with the soup and salad with wood grilled shrimp. Before our food came out the biscuits arrived and may i just say O M G these things are good enough to make the meal!!! I ate WAYYY more than I should have friends, WAY more. When the soup and salad arrived I was already pretty much sated but my Clam Chowder was so good I decided to stuff in a little more. I got mine in the sour dough bowl which was fantastically delicious but refrained from eating much of it seems how I had already devoured MANY biscuits. Whew... we still have a salad over here with plump, yummy, shrimps waiting for me. How can one so overindulge on soup and salad please explain to me... Long story short- I am saying give this place another chance. They have seriously stepped up their game. YUM YUM YUMMY! I am going back and having some more of those dang biscuits! If i could give this place zero stars I would. Where do I begin? The food was cold, the hosts and service was slow, no one including the manager seemed to know what they were doing. I can't remember his name but I think it was DJ or something like that, all I remember is that it was an acronym. He had to be the worst part of our visit, he had a pep in his step as he trotted away from my table. I just know I'm never going back to that place. My needs were not met and I was left unsatisfied. Went to Red Lobster in Denton,Tx. For dinner had the best server. I believe his name was Tyler P. He was serving table 20 08/6/15 He went out of his way to make us feel relaxed. I ate the four course feast the Shrimp and Scallops pasta noodles oh my God it was the best ever!!!! I did ask for them not to put Scallops in it. Which in a why it was better I had so much shrimp in my pasta at least 40. I even had to give some food to my mother so she can take it home with hers. The chicken tacos my husband said they were very good. My son had the peppercorn steak 7 oz and he ate the whole thing and he 5 yrs old. So it must of been good! Food is good just a little disappointed with Red Lobsters we always come here every time they bring us cheese bread right away but for the first time we were told it can only come out at the time salad comes out :/ but to my surprise the table across from us got bread without having there salad could this only apply to some customers and not to others ? read more

On May 15, 2019, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to some seafood! We recently moved to the area, so this Denton location is now the closest one to our home. This was our first (and probably last) visit. We were frequent diners at the location in Lewisville, and never had any problems or complaints there. When we parked (around 7:30 PM, peak dinner hours), we noticed the parking lot was only about 1/4 full. Great for us, right!? We walked in, and were told there was a 15 minute wait. We put our name on the list, and walked the couple of feet to the bar area to enjoy a cocktail while we waited. The bartender was brand new, and told me it was his first time making a dirty martini. It was excellent! About 10 minutes later, I went back to the hostess to check on our table. She admitted to me she was brand new and very, very nervous. I told her it was fine, we just wanted to see how much longer it would be. The list had ZERO names on it, so I asked her why we were still waiting (there were also many empty tables & booths) She explained that there were only 3 servers, and they were at capacity, so we would have to wait until a table left. Ohhhkaaayyy....I went back to the bar, and we asked the bartender if we could transfer our tab (for 2 drinks), and handed him a $5 for a tip. The 'manager' overheard the conversation, and very RUDELY stated we could NOT transfer and had to pay out at the bar. Okay, fine....we paid out, tipped the bartender, and left. Sadly, I feel like the staff was trying very hard, but the manager was overbearing and rude. He was more of a dictator than a leader, and seemed like he was managing them by intimidation. I travel a lot all over the north of the Dallas area for my job, and Red Lobster's seafood, as well as cheddar biscuits are always a great attraction. The seafood is usually good, but the cheddar biscuits are one of my favorite things! Always a win...if not for my waistline. read more

The food was great, but there were seven or eight tiny little flies constantly flying around our booth. We had to request to be moved but the flies are still on the other side of the room as well. It wasn't a pleasant dining experience, even though the manager apologized profusely. read more

I'm not a big seafood person, but I actually wanted to try Red Lobster at least once. First time going, pretty decent experience. I ordered the steak with shrimp and my husband ordered crab legs. I should have asked for none to little peppercorn on my steak because they put way too much, but the steak was cooked very well, shrimp was good, and the mashed potatoes were the best. We came for my birthday with our kids and our waitress was nice...when we saw her. We ordered our meal and our kids meals at the same time, after waiting 40 minutes our server said our order was on its way. We watched everyone around us that came after us get their dinner. 30 minutes later we got our kids meals. We eventually asked for a manager since we were sharing our kids meals with them. We were told they were short staffed and the GM was working in the kitchen. We ended up getting our food to go since the kids were over it. They did end up comping our dinner and because I think the look on my face scared the waitress we ended up leaving her a tip anyway. read more

Loved the food! Service was very awkward..went with my friend and took my son with us and the waiter was flirting with both of us. I'm sure he was trying to do it just to get a good tip, but after a while, it was very awkward and irritating. I paid the bill and went home and noticed that they charged my account twice. I went to the bank the next morning and they fixed it right away. Two days later, I noticed they charged my account AGAIN.. TWICE. Really great bartender Sam was my server. He did a superb job! Quick efficient never missed a beat everything came out quick. He kept biscuits on the table and even sent me home with some. My wife and I decided to head to red lobster tonight after the last time we had it, it was actually really really good. The wait to be seated was 30 minutes was absolutely unjustified, for after we sat down, we waited a solid 20-25 minutes for our food. When the food did arrive, my plate was missing 2 items from the plate. When I informed the server, she came back with only the fried shrimp, and the incorrect one at that. Both items that were missing were both out for the night. The lobster tail and grilled shrimp were extremely over cooked. Won't be coming back again. read more

My wife and I like Red Lobster in general, so we are somewhat biased to like the place. However, this specific store has excellent food, extremely good services, and very nice atmosphere. Sunday lunch traffic can be a bit crowded, but even then I have never been able to finish half a glass of water before it was being refilled. On a weekday night after 8pm, we have been treated like royalty. Very highly recommend this location (and the shrimp scampi). read more

What Denton needs is an alternative good seafood place, this chain is not it, first way overpriced, second portions are tiny don't let the commercials fool you, that great lobster tail is about the size of your thumb. Food is average , the shrimp , they act like it's 14k gold, the plates are even small so the food looks big. I'm from New England , and if 7/11 cooked sea food this would be it. read more

In general, I won't go to Red Lobster. Every location I've been to has horrendous service and so-so food. Here in Denton, there really aren't a lot of options for seafood, so we ended up here. My opinion of Red Lobster had changed, but only for this location. The place is ran very well, the food is always decent-to-good, and the service is top notch. We now go to Red Lobster on a regular basis. During our most recent visit, one of the bartenders even took a lobster out of the tank so my two year old son could pet it! read more
