Love the sign out front - what a throwback!

I love these old school supper clubs in Wisconsin. Go for the experience and ambience more than anything. The service was friendly and intimate. They feed you well. I got the "lake and steak" and while my steak could have been seasoned more it was super tender and juicy. The fish (Canadian walleye) was great too. They were servicing deep fried cookie dough and everyone at our table loved it.

My sister picked this classic supper club location for a dinner for my mother's 90th birthday. She loves the vibe. There were 12 of us and a baby. The server was wonderful and everyone's food came out correct and delicious! Three of us had the walleye, including me. I can't get that very often so I usually order it if I see it on the menu. It was great. I had enough for two meals. This is an old-school supper club, of course with the relish tray to start, the soup and the salad and cocktails. We were there for quite a while and it was delightful. I highly recommend this if you want that old school supper club feel or just a nice date night out

This place has been on my list for years and we finally went for my birthday! We had reservations for 4pm for four of us. Our servers name was Laura super friendly seated us quickl. We all tried seasonal drinks I had the Jack Frost, Dee had the peppermint martini, Riley had White Russian , Jeff had hot spiced black tea with capt Morgan- they were all very good! The re was a basket of breadsticks and crackers on table for us and then came the relish tray it had carrots and celery, cottage cheese, kidney bean salad, pickled sweet sauerkraut, and pickled herring! She actually got us another pickled herring cause we ate the first one so fast! We all had soup it was Brocolli cheese or chicken dumpling which both were very good! We all had salads which were great! No compkaints!! Dee ordered the seafood platter and the rest of us all got same thing the steak and lobster!!!! It all melted like butter in your mouth! The steak was tender and cooked just the way we asked them to!!! We will definitely be back!!! Great job! Love the old time supper club vibe I think we left at almost 6 socwexwerectgere almost 2 hours! Was fun!

The service was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The food was abundant and perfectly cooked. The service was also timed perfectly between courses. The atmosphere was fun and inviting.

This was our first time at Dreamland, but it won't be the last. We made reservations and it was quite busy when we got there, but our waitress took great care of us. It does state right on the menu that due to the number of courses to expect your dining experience to take a minimum of an hour and to let them know if you are in a rush. The mixed drinks were spot-on, and the appetizer and entrees were very tasty. I might have given this place a 5 star review, but the relish tray, soup and salad were nothing to write home about. Back to what was noteworthy. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious (shrimp wasn't "fishy" and the cocktail sauce was delish). I had the Seafood Plate, which consisted of broiled shrimp, scallops, walleye and a lobster tail and it was all cooked just right and had great flavor. My Mom ordered the Australian Lobster Tail, which is purportedly 16+ oz. and it while she raved about how delicious it was, it was MORE than a meal and she ended up taking half home to enjoy the next day.

This place was just "ok." We ordered 3 different types of steaks and also the prime rib. The steaks were all over cooked and most of them were tough. The porterhouse was the best of the steaks, but none of them had much for flavor or seasoning. Service was good but felt a little rushed, with each course being quickly dropped at our table before the server moved on to her next table. Also, while there is a disclosure in their menu about prices being subject to change, you would think the server would at least give us a courtesy heads up. (The porterhouse priced at $34.95 on the menu actually is $38.95. It may have been a temporary or very recent price change because the server initially wrote $34.95 on the receipt and then updated it to $38.95.) Overall, we are not likely to return. It didn't meet the high expectations we had based on others' reviews and experience.

I had suggested going to our usual go to, the Ledge Rock Grill at Larsmont. My wife insisted staying closer to home and taking advantage of the Valentines seven course dinner menu at Vue North in Superior Shores Resort. We got to the restaurant and were promptly seated at a window table as requested in our reservation. Being a true foodie from way back, I always opt for a well prepared gourmet meal as opposed to a standard menu. I have to admit I was skeptical when I booked the reservation, but am pleased to say the current Chef hit it out of the park. Every course was over the top and a clear ten. Obviously a lot of thought and talent went into both the creation of the menu and preparation of each course. I haven't had a gourmet meal of this caliber in years. The ambiance was excellent, the service was great, and each course was a ten!

The view of the lake as you enter the main dining room is spectacular. If you are fortunate enough to visit on a good-weather day during the summer, the patio experience cannot be beat. Every time I have visited, the staff have been genuinely gracious and caring. Add a unique and generous drink menu on top of a delicious selection of meal options what more could you ask for? Many of the menu items are gluten-free or gluten-free on request. As with most of their menus, brunch options are unique and worth the visit. Lake Superior Hash is a unique and tasty recommendation. I cannot say much about most of the dinner menu, because I ALWAYS order the ribeye, though I have added the scallops on occasion. The quality and preparation of the ribeye are well above most restaurant standards. Don't miss it! I also enjoy just stopping in for a drink. I have struck up conversations at the bar with perfect strangers, while enjoying one of the signature cocktails (don't miss the Minnesota Old Fashioned). Be sure to make a reservation. This is the one mistake you can make at the Boat Club. With a restaurant of this quality, you cannot assume there will be an open table for a walk-up.

A year ago, I was at Boat Club--a pleasant place with impeccable service. Now, 6/17, the staff is new and inexperienced, and the manager gives vague answers and doesn't solve the problem. It was impossible to have a good time when the temperature in the main room was at least 67 degrees. It seemed like they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. The adjoining room where the bar is located was at least 72 degrees. The Mall was at least 70 degrees. The manager, who seemed completely out of touch--as if he didn't even know what was going on--didn't solve the problem. On the contrary, he dramatically announced that he was going to raise the temperature. Instead, it got even colder. Very unpleasant. Another employee told me that the temperature is controlled from the hotel. Who's telling the truth? I don't like being taken for a fool. It's a shame--I was looking forward to spending an evening with my family and having a pleasant dinner. It didn't turn out that way. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

We had a much longer wait for pie at Betty's, and were lucky to get a parking place at all. It was mobby, and it wasn't even the weekend! There was about a 10 minute wait to order at the outdoor window, and a 15-20 wait for our slices. Most of the people ahead of us seemed to be getting pie shakes. In addition to the apple pie slice, we bought a toffee cream one. We ate it soon after our visit. It was delicious. The pale crust reminded me of shortbread, the filling light, sweet, and creamy, with what seemed to be Heath bits throughout. It was great and surprisingly not filling at all. As for the apple pie comparison, Betty's version was more cohesive a crust and easier to eat, but it was also surprisingly bland. The thicker crust at the edge was dry, too. The fillings from both bakeries were quite close, both good. From Betty's, we liked the cream pie slice much more than the apple. For classic double-crust apple, Rustic was best between the two.
