I have been going to this location since I was a child the restaurant is always very clean and the people are very nice! Today me and my family went there for lunch. I wasn't able to finish all of my food so I asked for a box. I was just eating my leftover coconut shrimp, when I noticed some black under the breading... I found that there were feces left in most of my shrimp! I am absolutely disgusted! Especially to think that I was eating them! I cannot believe they would serve food like this to paying customers! Not really sure what's going on here but the past three visits has been horrific! Yesterday, sealed it for me to take my complaint to social media. It takes a lot to do for me. Here in Fairfield we are sorely lacking quality dining for the area. However, call me crazy I expect more from a national chain. Let's begin: At the door I was greeted by two very young high school giggling hosts who were clearly smitten with each other in some way. I was sat and immediately the horror show began. 1) silverware was totally gross and disgusting (by the way, I always get hot water and lemon to clean my utensils at all restaurant or bring my own). The manager took two sets and washed them by hands- (she insisted after finding they all had issues). 2)The young kids on duty, were just full of play and LOUD. It was like watching a Kindergarten room full of unruly kids. 3) There is nothing professional about the staff in from uniform to their hair 4) Just lackluster service I felt they could care less about my dining experience. I could go on but unfortunately you could get the picture. If I wanted a McDonald's experience, I would've saved my $30 ( including tax) and been happier. Not Going Back! read more

We had gone for Mother's Day. It was 8 of us. Everyone else would be seated in about 10-30 minutes but us !! They had us waiting for about 2 hours for a seat! After those two hours I decide to tell them that I've been waiting. They tell me they were waiting for a bigger table and that it would take 15 minutes. 30 minutes past and nothing!! After that, they finally choose to ask us if we would like to sit in separate tables next to eachother. WOW!! As if they couldn't have thought of that way earlier. So we decide to wait a little more since he said it would take about 5 minutes. What a lie, after 10 more minutes he comes back and tells me I have to wait longer. Fuck that. I've been coming to this restaurant for a decade and tonight I had the most perfectly cooked lobster tail & sea scallops I've ever had in 50 years of travelling the world. I used to dread the over-cooked leather of lobster they have served me in the past. I'm really glad I gave them another chance. Let's pray for consistancy now. Also to note, after their recent refurbishment, we no longer feel as claustrophobic as we have previously. Service was outstanding, pleasant and transparent. As soon as my daughter and I sat down for dinner, our waitress Mandy C greeted us with a warm and friendly greeting! She was awesome from start to finish! Our drinks came out, salads, and biscuits faster than lightning! My daughter ordered something new that she didn't really like. (She's 11) so we all know how that goes! Lol Mandy was so nice and offered her something else. My daughter got the cookie molten cake of course. I was really really happy with Mandy's excellent customer service! Red Lobster is a seafood chain restaurant that is known to many. You just expect the same quality of food and service in all chains. This one in Fairfield fits that mold; great service, great food. I was surprised that it was not that busy on a Thursday night (7:00 pm), so my fiancee and I did not have to wait at all. For appetizers, we got the fried calamari and vegetables. As usual, it was very good (my fiancee and I fought for the fried broccoli). For my entree, I got the Ultimate Feast, which included fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, crab legs, and a petite lobster tail. You have your choice of baked potato, mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetable medley. My fiancee ordered a whole lobster tail which was even better in warm, melted butter. I recommend getting the caesar salad as it goes well with the cheddar biscuits. Speaking of which, the cheddar biscuits, when warm, are one of the main reasons why I choose Red Lobster over other seafood restaurants. This place is great for birthday and anniversary dinners. We went to the place for their recent promotion for 3 courses meal deal of $14.99. California price is higher and we paid $15.99. We love the food and the environment. The server were friendly and attentive. We were just walking on the parking lot and one lady already open the door to welcome us. The Restaurant is clean and food is really great. Haven't been to Red Lobster in a good amount of years. I previously read the reviews beforehand, but I overlooked them and figured it wouldn't be that bad. Waiting wasn't too bad, usual timing. After had ordered, it took longer than needed for our food to arrive considering it wasn't busy at all. Food was alright; tilapia was a little bland and lobster tails were pathetic compared to actual menu picture. Overall I valued the bread and the shrimp fettuccini. i ve been to quiet a few Red lobster locations and got really good service from start to finish. this fairfield location was the worst ive ever been too. We walked in with a baby in a stroller and asked for a booth table so i can have the stroller parked on the side, so that its not blocking the restaurant traffice. The host asked if we wanted to put the baby in some sling. The way he approched he seemed like that he wanted me to take the baby out of the stroller and place my sleepy baby on some sling. Anyways, if strollers arentallowed in the restaurant than maybe there should be a sign that says so. Anyways, we get a table got our menu. Waited a while cos according to the our "server" he had to do the birthday cheer. My husbands order was partially mixed with mine. And some of the items on both our orders were missing. I have been to Red Lobster many times and at many different locations. They all have been OK at best. But I have to say this meal I had was fantastic ! My steak could not have been cooked more perfect. The split lobster tail was a tiny bit rubbery but still good. Service was great. Service was terrible...first time I had ever considered not leaving a tip at all...our waitress was very friendly, but terrible at checking on us and seeing if we needed anything...the food was very good, but they have not figured out how to keep the crab legs warm, I ordered it and it came in this very hot dish, but they take off the lid and that is what you use to throw your shells in...so you can't eat it fast enough, and they all get cold after the second leg... :( Food was good, just cold, but the service was terrible! read more

Arrived at 5 pm at Red Lobster before the crushing crowd. The extra attention from the waitstaff was great. The look of the restaurant was surprising. I usually see so many people waiting outside the door that I don't even bother coming inside. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant was clean and seats comfy. The bar served great drinks and we enjoyed the meal. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in sometime and was happy to see the food consistent with other Red Lobsters as well as tasting good after so many years away from the chain. The portions were generous and the prices fair. I think it was a good place to stop for a good time and good meal. read more

From what I remember, their food was always a bit greasy. Their seafood salad was what I always got. Could never go wrong with that. Sooo, I decided to treat myself to a nice lunch today. I ordered the Lobster Roll, which turned out extremely soggy with only about a tablespoon of Lobster spread really thin on the roll. For $9.99....probably not. The Lobster bisque tasted like it was made with a pound of butter..... literally, gross to say the least. And the Spicy Shrimp Lettuce wraps........I was given an entire half a head of lettuce that was browning, not cut properly, plus it needed to be washed a couple of more times. And to top it off the bartender seemed a bit peeved when I asked for an additional condiment. Ugh, I should have kept my damn tip to go towards replacing this nasty, waste of my lunch, time and money!!! Never again!! read more

I'm not usually a fan of big chains, but I had a $25 gift card to Red Lobster left over from last Christmas, so my husband and I decided to finally use it. After touring the Jelly Belly factory (also in Fairfield) we drove to the mall-area in all it chain-restaurant glory. I couldn't believe how dead everything was on a Saturday night. Since we didn't trust the food and only had $25 in credit, we decided to split and app and an entree. The app was a New England Sampler. The waitress had to ask me to point to it in the menu in order to make sure I didn't want the other appetizer sampler. (This should be a big sign to the corporation that the menu is too broad and confusing.) The sampler came with "clam strips" (with a moderately disgusting tartar sauce--I opted for cocktail), seafood stuffed mushrooms, and bacon-wrapped scallops on a (somewhat intimidating) skewer. My husband thought the scallops tasted faintly chemical-ish, but all I could think about was how much better they would be with good bacon. The scallops themselves were surprisingly edible, considering we're used to dry-packed, dayboat scallops. We had the Seaside Shrimp Trio for our entree. The platter contained fried shrimp, sauteed shrimp (in drawn butter) and shrimp in a white sauce over pasta (Bubba Gump might note that you also boil it & broil it) with a caesar salad and mashed potatoes on the side. Fried shrimp- standard. Shrimp pasta- pleasantly bland. Sauteed shrimp- delicious! We were both big fans. Service was a bit overbearing thought well-intentioned. I had to ask for bread. Our entree came out no more than 4 minutes after our app. And for the record, the blue-rimmed dishes are hideous. Not a bad experience at all though, considering I spent on $11 of my own money , including tip. read more

Good staff, they are doing their best with what they have. I'd say this mall location could do much better and probably needs a face lift and some caffeine. The last few times I have been here I've been disappointed by the presentation and the price versus quality ratio. Nothing every looks like it does in the menu--and I mean not even close. The food itself if drenched in butter to either cover the poor quality or just give it that "totally fat" flavor that Red Lobster is known for. Otherwise it is what it is.
