Came in on a Tuesday with my party of 2. The restaurant was pretty empty but it still took a second to get sat, not sure why. But that's ok. We sat and our server brought us water, but forgot our lemon. Whatever. And then it took forever to get refills on the water when they were empty. Which in my opinion is the sign of bad service. Our cocktails were good but not super strong. Our appetizer was the spinach crab dip which was way more watery then I expected. The chips that were served with them were pretty thin and hard to stand up to the dip. They ended up a little soggy with dip. But it was hot and had decent crab. The salads were delicious and my soup was hot and delicious. The main entrees came and were ok. The shrimp linguine was good. The Walt's shrimp was good but not super hot and the shrimp scampi were pretty cold. My dinning mates food was mostly fried. They were soggy for the most part and she didn't eat most of it. There were definitely highs and lows in service and the food. But overall a tolerable experience. read more

Just subpar. This was the first time we've been here in probably close to 20 years. My wife and I had a discussion on the way thinking it would certainly have been remodeled since our last visit. We'll yo our surprise it looks exactly as we remembered it. The menu was pretty close to the same too. I got the same thing the last time I was there and it was just ok. Went for a friends birthday. When we arrived they put us under a vent and when we complained they said they turned it down but we could tell they didn't. I had never been to this location before. Went there after the zoo so it was easy to find and had good parking. The food was pretty good although they overcooked my lobster (which to a foodie that does reviews is a no no). Other than that my food was really good and everyone else enjoyed their meal. I don't think I need to say whether I would recommend Red Lobster to my foodie friends. It's been around long enough that it's obvious a good place to eat. read more

It's a chain restaurant so I didn't go in with fantastic expectations. My 9 dollar drink had a teaspoon of alcohol in it. My Caesar salad was dumped straight from a plastic bag then topped with cheese and cheap croutons. It was god awful. Good job Red Lobster I was robbed lol. Absolute worst service I've ever had here. Waitress forgot to bring the appetizer which is fine I didn't bother to ask for it again but only got cheddar biscuits once after asking three times for them. Then my steak came out well done after I asked for medium. No breaker for the crab legs either. On top of all of that I asked once again for some biscuits to go and was told she'd bring em, not only did she not bring them she forgot to bring us the check since we had the wrong machine at our table. Arrived at 11:15am for an early lunch. Shout out to our server Brandon B he was very friendly and provided attentive service. We ordered from the new Tasting plates menu; which in my opinion is the best thing Red Lobster has done to their menu in a long time so I hope it is a permanent addition! The food came out hot and fresh and had wonderful flavor. I definitely recommend the mini lobster roll and the seafood loaded fries. My husband had the same but also ordered sweet chili shrimp which was also amazing! Spicy and crispy and just delicious. Overall today's lunch has been the best Red Lobster experience we've had in a while. We normally hit up the Hagerstown location near us but we were in Frederick today and definitely glad we stopped in. We will definitely be back! read more

Me and my boyfriend decided to come here for a valentine's day dinner. The servers are extremely friendly, though service was a little slow. We waited for probably 15-20 minutes for just our salads to come out and another 20-25 minutes for our entree's. We ended up getting a thing of king crab legs to share and it was very overcooked, rock hard, cold, or disintegrated at touch. We sent it back, waited another 20 minutes for just 3 legs this time. My best friend took me to Red Lobster as Christmas gift. A small incident made us decide to no ever eat at this restaurant. As we were drinking beers my friend commented on the Samual Adams beer glass they served us on. With the Red lobster logo on it, it looked pretty cool. So my friend asked the server if he could buy one. She said the glass is like $1.99 but they are out. My friend wanted to take one as souvenir so he told her it doesn't have to be a brand new one, he doesn't mind paying $1.99 for one of the used one. She asked the manger if he will allow her to sell it to us. The manger rudely told us NO! Are you kidding me? We spend $140 on a dinner and you can't allow to take home a glass?? This manger is so rude he came over to our table standing with each of his arm to each of our chair explaining how corporate doesn't allow him because some agreement they have with Samuel Adams. Again, are you kidding me? I'm a district manager for a Pizzeria chain and partially own a franchisee. We do so much to promote our brand and we give away sunglasses, pens, keychains with our logo on it. The more people see our logo the better. Imagine how many people would have seen the beer glass with the Red Lobster logo at my friend's house. After his explanation why he can't sell the glass, he told us he would go inside to see if he can find a new one. We paid our bill and waited for him. He had no decency to come back and let us know they really are out of the item. This person simply does not care for his guests. At this point it's just not about a glass, it's about how we were treated. We take our friends to Red Lobster all the time. Not only we won't come to this place, we will also not take any of our friends there. You can keep your Samuel Adam glasses with Red Lobster logo on it! read more

Yikes ... the only redeeming thing about this place is the cheddar biscuits. We arrived to find the live lobsters in the tank feeding off of a dead lobster, which is always fun for the kids. We were there, of course, for the Endless Shrimp - you pay a little extra and get whatever kind of shrimp you want, as much as you'd like. Problem is, once we ordered it, our server was nowhere to be found, popping up occasionally for brief moments at a time. We waited for almost 30 minutes to get a seat, then when we get back to our seat, we notice that the place wasn't even crowded. And THEN we had to wait another hour before our server brought us our second order of shrimp. When we told him we were a bit upset, he said the kitchen was backed up. When we said it would have been nice for someone to have said something to us about that, his respond was merely "OK." Trust me, third-rate seafood at first-rate prices and mediocre service (at best) is not "OK." Sorry, I know the biscuits are good, but they're not good enough for us to go back any time soon. read more

About as bad as it gets when it comes to seafood. I had friends who worked down the street at the local hospital ER and they would occasionally get the victims from this place. Of course, I found out about this AFTER I went. There was, literally, sand in the rice pilaf. The fish was perhaps more fitting as a paperweight once it cooled off. The coffee was good. Once a year I get a hankering for cheddar biscuits. I know to not expect much from the rest of the meal. As such, my meal was fine. No major complaints. The caesar salad was swimming in dressing so I didn't eat more than a few bites. The stuffed tilapia was surprisingly good, though they didn't include nearly as much as lobster and crab stuffing as on the promotional picture. Still, it wasn't overcooked which is usually a problem at chains. I actually enjoyed it. RL could update their sides menu though. The baked potato and rice pilaf were uninspired. JV ordered the 4 courses for $16 deal. He said his baked potato soup wasn't very creamy but okay. The chicken alfredo was good and a Cheesecake Factory-esqe portion. Good bang for your buck. Like another reviewer, Neveen was our server and she was wonderful. Kept a smile on her face throughout our meal and brought refills of warm biscuits and cold drinks as needed. I have had better. Lots better. I arrived tonight with friends and I was greeted by some very nice hostesses. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We were seated and our waiter arrived immediately, asking for drink and appetizer orders. We held off on the appetizers and ordered drinks. My alcoholic drink arrived within minutes - their iced teas took longer! Our soups arrived - only two of the three - and one was the wrong soup. Not an auspicious beginning to be sure. Within minutes, we all had our soups, but the seeds of doubt were now planted. The biscuits and salads were ok - nothing special. When the main courses arrived, I was appalled. My seafood linguini was inedible. The shrimp were tiny (the size of a finger nail or smaller), the scallops were tiny bay scallops and both proteins were overcooked - by a few minutes! To add insult to injury, the sauce was horrid - it tasted solely of lemon. Think a cup of lemon juice poured onto your pasta. To the waiter's credit, he did try to make things better. He made several suggestions, but my food allergies prohibited me from taking him up on those items. I was very unhappy. So, he went and got the food expeditor. She immediately understood my allergies and made a suggestion that was well-received. My new entree arrived at the table within moments. It was much better than what I was originally served, but I can still make something better at home. The dessert? That was the only course where I ate everything. The place was clean. Went for the first time in about a year and took advantage of the crab offer they are having, everything about our visit and food were wonderful, the Alaskan king crab, crab legs and crab Alfredo were perfect, the biscuits were hot and extremely fresh as was the salads. If I could give less stars I would. Our waitress, who never told us her name, was very inattentive. I ordered endless shrimp and just gave up after it took twenty minutes to get six additional shrimp. Then I go to pay and she takes my credit card and disappears for over ten minutes. I had to get another server to find her. When she did come back, she dropped the check and ran off...no pen. So now my husband is forced to go knocking on the kitchen door because no one is around with a pen for us to sign and leave. Overall very unsatisfying experience. And this is the second time we have had a bad experience at this location. We will drive to Winchester next time. We live in between the two so it was a thirty minute drive for crappy service. And the crab legs were cold. Don't bother with this location. Seems like everything on the golden mile isn't worth the drive anymore. read more

This was my second visit, the previous one was pre-pandemic and was a 4-star experience. This time I was disappointed. If I weren't making allowances for current pandemic conditions I would be rating the restaurant as only 1-star. The menu had been greatly reduced -- very short with few choices. The service was disjointed: my entree arrived before I could do much more than start eating my salad and the biscuits that normally greet one early in the visit only arrived after I was half-finished with my entree. When the biscuits did arrive they seemed soggy as though slightly under-cooked. I still have a balance on a gift card but I will wait to use it until they can resume normal operation, at which point I can expect that I will once again have a 4- or 5-star experience. read more

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner the other night. I got the wood-grilled chicken with portabello mushroom wine sauce and mashed potatoes. The food was really good. this is a favorite dish of mine. my wine was over-priced for a small glass of sutter homes... $5.99/glass. The calamari and veggie app was a rip-off... there was barely any calamari... Other than that, all was good. our server, Rose, was very attentive, kind and professional. I really liked her. The server is really what gave this the extra star. It was a bit pricey especially for the 14 popcorn shrimp rolled in some sauce that I got. My salad and clam chowder were wonderful!
