Red Lobster tried to make it right and we gave it another go tonight. I fully anticipated giving a better review tonight, that our last visit was a one off. I was wrong. So we joined the waitlist at 6:40 which said they were seating now. We arrived at 6:55 and checked in, my husband was told it would be an hour. I'm no it sure the point of the waitlist then and the hostess told my husband their systems really don't connect to anything. My husband was beyond annoyed as this was our make- up dinner attempt and there was no way he was waiting another hour. None the less he needed to be home to do some work and couldn't be gone that long and the baby was not going to last the wait. We drove home and I dropped him and the baby off and my other two kids who had their hearts set on shrimp for dinner headed back. I then also waitlisted in case a smaller party could be sat earlier the website said 20 minute wait.. When I arrived back we checked in said I put another one in for the smaller party and I was told it would be 20 minutes longer. We waited inside. Walk-ins were given the same time so again not sure the reason for the waitlist. At 8:00 we got the text that our first check in party was ready so I went up to the stand. The hostess and who I thought was maybe the manager were there and seemed confused that my group was smaller, again I explained we lost two members. I inquired about the waitlist again and the gentleman also said the system isn't connected to anything, asked what app I was using.. grub hub, etc not sure what he meant as it wasn't an order, I said no Red Lobster .com. I'm not sure how they don't even know their own process. I even stated we were back to try again after a bad experience. All I got is a "I guess it's not going well" from the gentleman I thought was the manager. We were seated. 8-10 minutes later finally had a waitress come over. Kids order lemonade, nope they are out. We finally get our order in at probably 8:15. I will say at least the waitress Samantha was great. She came back after our order was in to ask what additional shrimp I'd want for the endless shrimp as the kitchen was doing last call, since they close at 8:30. Of course because the night was going so well one of my toddlers suddenly had a stomach ache and some urgent bathroom trips. We got up to go to the bathroom (now I have to drag both toddlers because dad was at home) and the hostess was now cleaning the bathroom and didn't want us to enter. I said well he has a poop emergency. She still didn't want to enter, but I just walked in and took him to a stall. I don't know what else she'd want me to do. We came back to our food. All looked good except my daughter's grilled shrimp looked charred. I'd think they would recognize that was a bit much for a kids meal, but she did eat it. My son still didn't feel good so we cut it short, again the waitress was great at getting me take out containers so we could make a dash. All in all I can not see us visiting this location again. I'd probably rule out any Red Lobster except my kids love shrimp so much and I've been going to Red Lobster since I was a kid. read more

This was my second go at the all you can eat shrimp event Red Lobster has. I've heard that this is the servers least favorite time as it's a pain in the butt going back and forth. From the way our server presented herself you would've never known. She was incredibly friendly. I wish I could recall her name to give her kudos. Food was average ( I had fish and chips , but I got much more breading then fish ) silverware was dirty - I picked up 3 different sets and I ended up polishing it myself - Prosecco was not the best one and glass not polished. There was no nice music in the bar - dining area is very dark that's why we decided to sit at the bar - our waitress was nice though. Well, visiting my Sis with her two little munchkins.. it is very hard for her to get out and have dinner... We stopped in here, because usually you can expect a pretty consistent experience with this chain which also includes Olive Gardens (you wondered why you always see them together, huh?) anyway, where to begin.. with the good.. it was clean and the food was consistent... The service? Not so much.. first of all, the entire place was pretty empty because we arrived at an odd hour and yet the hostess sat us - THE PEOPLE WITH THE THREE YEAR OLD AND THE BABY! next to other people.. and seem to sit all the people close to the kitchen entrance!!! #1, if you have room, seat the people with the kids and babies (even if it is me) AWAY from other patrons.. they also gave us a booth for four and put the hammock for the baby seat in the aisle, so everyone kept bumping the baby! OMG, I was so mad! If anyone from RL reads this, please train your employees to seat properly... THINK PEOPLE! #2, if you can help it, don't sit all the people or any of the people near the kitchen door.. those tables are for last minute guests or over flow when a place is too crowded! WHY would you put everyone there... The waitress was nice, but she checked on us about every 2 minutes... there IS such a thing as over doing it... give us some privacy and let us talk... geesh! We haven't eaten here in at least two years, since I try to avoid chains, but this ended up being our best option on a Friday soon after the 11am opening. Service was excellent from door to table to out again. Very attentive and pleasant. I ordered the shrimp skewer meal from the lunch menu. The price was good and the shrimp were delicious. The broccoli was perfectly done--so many restaurants can't do crisp broccoli--but I really wish there had been more of it. I was trying to eat healthy so I couldn't have much of the rice pilaf, and veggies would have made it a more filling meal. My husband did the choose-your-own lunch and had a shrimp skewer and shrimp scampi. Both were excellent, and he was likewise pleased that "they knew how to do broccoli." He also had all of the Cheddar Bay biscuits, which he loved as always. I was pleased that they had a lot of healthier options on their lunch menu. Had such a great experience at this location tonight, not that we don't every time we come here, but tonight our waitress Sasha was exceptional. From the second we sat down, to the second we left, she was on top of it, making sure we were taken care of. I ordered a custom flavored tea which I do not like to be sweet but with just a pop of flavor. She completely nailed it, AND brought me a cup of extra ice as she knew it melts fast with tea. Next we ordered the endless shrimp with salads to start. She brought out our salads and gave us plenty of time to enjoy them before bringing out our shrimp. Once the shrimp came, she took the time to explain that it takes a little bit of time to get "seconds" of the shrimp, so make sure you order sooner rather than later. She checked on us periodically, not too much, but just enough to know when we needed refills and extra shrimp. Her timing, her personality, and her courtesy were exquisite and has definitely made this location one of our new regulars. Thank you Sasha! Red Lobster had hit an all time low. We never got our Mother's Day dinner. I put an order online at 10:19am for a 7pm pick up. My daugher was at the Goodyear Location at 6:30pm. She was told that it would be about 40 minutes. 8pm came and went and nothing. I drove down there, when I got there many people where in the parking lot and in front of doors. Only one person came out with ONE order. People were waiting since 6pm! I asked the worker before she disappeared back in the restaurant that I wanted to cancel my order. She asked my name and said she would put it on a "list" I told her I wanted verification that my order was canceled. She said, "I can't our manager will do that when we close" I still have a pending charge of $116. Red Lobster you ruined Mother's Day for so many people. You should be ashamed of yourself. read more

Two stars just because we were seated promptly and our waiter was very attentive. I ordered Shrimp Linguini Alfredo and when we got our food my pasta looked dried, I thought it just needed more Alfredo Sauce (i always ask for extra alfredo at any restaurant) As I was eating the pasta a few bites into it I noticed something long and clear in my food. It was plastic! I told the waiter and him and I believe it was a manager or supervisor apologized and brought me a new plate. This one looked freshly made it had lots of Alfredo sauce even the presentation looked better. I hardly even ate from the new plate as I was feeling weird about my first plate. A couple hours later the food gave me food poisoning. It was basically the only thing I had eaten all day. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea all night long! Had to miss work! Red Lobster used to be a great seafood restaurant years ago, but not anymore. After previously trying one in Connecticut in which the lobster meat was like rubber, I decided to chance it again when I visited family in Goodyear, AZ. I am now done with Red Lobster. My Dad had been looking forward to a nice Maine Lobster tail, but what he received a little lobster tail with meat enough for 6 bites; Yes you read correctly - 6 bites! I ordered the scallops which are usually seasoned in bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, butter and lemon in most restaurants. I received a plate of scallops the size of blueberries smothered in Paprika. I'm allergic to Paprika, but that's not my point; I have never been presented with broiled scallops smothered in Paprika in ANY seafood restaurant. The server was very nice and since the food is not her fault, we tipped her accordingly. One more thing, the place is really dark inside - a lot of brown - depressing. I Hope this review encourages them to change for the better because Red Lobster was once a great place. The company should try to bring it back to what it once was. Then 20 minutes later the chef came to the table to tell us that they were out of the Waygu burger. 2/3 meals not available. The cheese sticks tasted like they were microwaved. Then they wanted to sit us at a table in the bar area which would have been fine if they offered it to us when we walked in not almost an hour after waiting, as it was empty the whole time. I dined at multiple locations(in different states) over the past few years and always had a good experience. Tonight I had early dinner with my boy friend and his father at Red Lobster in Goodyear and yet again, the whole experience was great. As we arrived, we were seated fast by a friendly hostess. Our waiter came to the table shortly after and introduced her self with a smile - Veronika. We each ordered the four course feast (that includes: a soup, a salad, a main course and desert).
