Our entire family had the absolute worse meal ever. They no longer serve regular salad just Caesar salad. The dressing and cheese was so salty. Claim chowder was watery, warm, very little clams or potatoes in it. The shrimp Alfredo was salty, watery and just didn't taste good. The mashed potatoes were horrible. Several of us had shrimp and all of us got sick to our stomach after eating it . We all just wanted to get out of the house and Red Lobster is usually a decent place to go. We will never go there again. In addition several items we wanted they were out of. I realize it's very hard on businesses now with Covid but this place needs to be inspected and perhaps the kitchen staff needs to be trained on how to cook. read more

Ok, so it's Red Lobster, I know. However, I've been impressed over the past few years at the improvements they've made, and the ingredients and quality of preparations have been steadily rising. They have a seasonal rotating menu, as well as their usual favorites, and a menu that nearly anyone can find a dish to their liking. Lobster, crab, shrimp, fish...all were cooked perfectly, and tasted great. Nice to see this chain stepping it up! More variety, especially for picky eaters, than some other seafood chains, and it's great to have the option of both fish and shellfish in one place. read more

I saw a manager beg, plead, and bribe a lady with coupons and discounts NOT to post pictures of the bartender on her cell phone. The woman was clearly upset that her server/bartender had not been checking on her and her husband, as the dined. She witnessed the young lady on her cell phone, and chatting with others. Photographing the employee on her phone, the lady GOT UP and went to get a manager. Returning with a manager, to the area, voicing her complaint. Her husband, who seemed fine, did not comment much. In turn the manager offered her compensation to not let this go any further. Although the lady DID threaten to post her photos on social media. I who was sitting very close by, and still remained after this couple left. NEVER saw the manager reprimand the said employee who was on her cell phone. Instead i watched her tell other waiters what just occured, but NEVER did she approach said employee. Not all Red Lobsters are this bad. This one is horrible. The food is below average for the chain, but the wait staff and inept management really make this an awful experience. And I have no idea why, but this location is always plagued by flies which is just unnecessary. The last time we were here I was trying to help someone deal after a really hard day. They forgot to assign us to a waitress and seemed put off when we complained after 10 min that no one had even stopped by our table yet. Food took so long to prepare we had to get it to go, and then they got the order wrong! Management seemed like this was normal and were unsympathetic. Will never go to this location again. read more

When I first got Harrisburg, I tried to go to this Red Lobster, on a Saturday, and was told that the wait was two hours. ( WTF? ) Having now been to this Red Lobster a few times, I have to say that it is better run and the food quality seems above average for this chain. read more

You can never go wrong with the cheddar biscuits! That's where my satisfaction ends.I ordered the "island-style" mahi mahi special. The fish was over cooked, hard and almost crunchy on the outside and dry and chewy on the inside. It came with a skewer of shrimp that was room-temperature, at best, and flavorless. I woulf guess undercooked, since they were a little mushy. I couldn't even eat half of them. It also came with a side of broccoli that I would have liked steamed more - they were so hard, they could have been raw. My garlic butter mashed potatoes were good, though, and my strawberry lemonade was EXCELLENT. I could've complained and sent my fish back, sure, but it was so hot inside the restaurant, I just really wanted to go. I was just in Red Lobster and I ordered Crab Lovers dream and when I start eating the crab legs, I noticed there was barley any meat in it. And that the crab linguini, looked and tasted like someone threw up on it. My meal was over $30 and did not look or taste like a $30 meal. Waitress called the manager and she was no help. Before, we've been to different Red Lobster (HI, WA) many times (can't count). Last Saturday (1.24.09) our first time here in Red Lobster - Harrisburg. My husband planned to go there early dinner to skip the crowd and guess what??? Its really crowded. We got there at 15:15. The hostess said "waiting time is 20-25 minutes". After half hour were still waiting. I asked my husband to go and check how long more b4 they call us and my husband said "they should call us soon dear." This lady who standing closed to us she asked "how long we been waiting" and I said "30-35 minutes" and she said "woooow... I've been here 5 minutes ago and my family not here yet." Just after she said and they page her... probably because of the # of head. So my husband went and asked them why we still waiting and the hostess said "we page you a while ago" OMG whataaaa lierrrrr.... if someone page us we should feel the vibrate, see the light, and hear the pager that they gave us... (ohhh please were not an ignorant) but anyway we wait on their side for couple minutes to get our table ready. The food were pretty good. I ordered the Caribbean meal (Lobster tail, 1 screw of shrimp, baked potato, Caesar salad) and my husband ordered steak and lobster plate and side order of half lb king crab legs. We really enjoyed our meal. The server was friendly but she has a short term memory. While were enjoying our meal the server came and asked everything OK and can I get you anything? I said yes I need an extra lemon wedges for my lobster and my husband ordered an IRISH COFFEE and she said its "whisky not baileys" and my husband said yeah I know. After couple of minutes and she came again and asked same question and she brought me more napkins.... LOL I want more lemon not napkins... We laugh and laugh and laugh.... til we got home My husband can't believed it that she totally forget his IRISH COFFEE and they even have a lil conversation about it... I was washing my hands in the bathroom before leaving and a server came out of the bathroom stall (was changing toilet paper roll) and walked back into the restaurant without washing hands. The service is great here! We called in for call ahead reservation and got a great both for 7. The food is what you expect from red lobster. It's definitely chain food but the food was fresh. I got the shrimp trio- lobster and shrimp pasta, grilled shrimp with crab skewer and grilled teriyaki shrimp. They were not over cooked. Plus baked potato and broccoli. All for $16. Pretty good. Ate there on December 30th for the first time. I doubt if we will be rushing back.The service was sporadic, long waits between the server coming to the table. There were three of us and none of us were impressed. The only good thing we had was the lobster dip. My entree was the admiral's feast. It would have been better if I had gone to the Giant and bought some of Mrs. Paul's frozen seafood and cooked it myself. Friday night, my boyfriend and I did call ahead for 2 at 6:30 (we were told a 40 min wait) it took us about 25 minutes to get there. We arrive, check in and head to the bar for a drink while we wait. They had 2 bartenders on and about 10 people in total at the bar. We waited 5 minutes to even be asked what we wanted to drink. We sat there for about 20 minutes & still weren't seated. Keep in mind there were tables all around that were empty but not being seated. When we were finally seated it took about 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. I understand it's a Fridsy night however, this place is completely understaffed. Not to mention they have the a/c on in the middle of November in PA!! People are eating in coats and scarves. Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants but this experience was very poor! We had a new server which was really slow (not her fault) but she was very sweet. Other tables that got there around the same time as us left an hour before us. The server overcharged us and the manager was very slow at trying to take it off and took like 30 minutes just to change the price of one thing!!!! I've been to Red Lobster on Jonestown rd numerous times but last night was a big disappointment. Cheese biscuits were delicious, as usual, but that's it. Drink was all ice and watered down, ordered dueling ( something) lobster was salty and small. Baked potato was good. Salad was all ice berg lettuce with too much dressing. Excellent waitress. Still very good though. Had lobster lover's dream for main course with asparagus & rice pilaf. Maine lobster tail was done to perfection, tender & juicy; rock lobster tail was tad bit on dry side but extra butter & it was all good. Visited this Red Lobster on Mothers Day. Advice, DO NOT go there on a special day! They do not prepare themselves for a crowd! Arrived at 12 noon, told it would be a 50 minute wait. Ok. We were seated at 1:15. Not bad. It took 15 minutes just to get a glass of water. It took another 15 minutes for the server to take our orders. We were a party of 8. It took another 30 minutes to get any garlic rolls after asking twice. Finally at 3pm our food arrives, oh yes one of our party had to wait, they missed one of our orders. So 7 people got to eat while 1 waits for her plate to come. It eventually is served! Spoke to the manager, apparently they had some issues in the kitchen and he apologized. Really! Then he gave us a discount on our meal! It should have been free. We finally left and it was almost 4:00. WOW! My husband and I went there to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. What a disappointment, we will never go back. The salad was way overdressed, the lobster was rubbery and overcooked, the green beans were raw (not crispy...so raw they tasted like grass). Our server was terrible, I asked for drawn butter and it took so long for her to bring it, my lobster was cold. I would have ordered a second cocktail but she never came back to our table until we were done eating. She asked if we wanted dessert, we told her yes but she walked away without taking our order. The shrimp scampi has no resemblance to a real shrimp scampi. It leaves an awful aftertaste. The lobster is usually poorly prepared. The vegetables are so damn raw that they are barely edible. The potatoes are hard as a rock. I have yet to have anything that hasn't turned my stomach. This is literally the worst seafood I've ever eaten. I'll get my own damn lobster, throw it in a pot, clarify some butter and make the biscuits and save myself some money and aggravation. While I am always pleased with the food and service at both my capitol region Red Lobsters-Mechanicsburg and Colonial Park, I often visit the Colonial Park location when I am on the East Shore. The CP bar is tended by Rowdy Russ and he always makes my visits there very interesting. He has alot of fans too. Worst birthday dinner ever. Bad menu. Restaurant was dirty. They had no idea what glueten was or how it was in their food. Sad as seafood is gluten free. Most everything on the menu said that they put gluten in it. My boyfriend's shrimp linguini was good but it took several tries to get his food to get to the table. I got the grilled shrimp. The mashed potatoes where like glue and not very warm. The salad was just iceburg lettuce with cucumbers. I was sick as the shrimp was uncooked. No manager asked how our food was. The only thing that saved the dinner was the waitress Heather. She was awesome - friendly, polite, very helpful. She even brought me birthday icecream, because I can't eat gluten. I came in for CrabFest with my Son and and old friend. Our food was very good and our Server, Jaime R really exceeded expectations! She was knowledgeable, attentive, and didn't miss or forget a thing. She could seriously work in any high-end Bistro in any major City. The only reason I docked a star was that where we were seated - which was at a booth by the windows in the Bar area - was very cold... not very conducive to enjoying a fruity cocktail or a cold beer. We went there for a birthday dinner for my daughter-in-law. We had 7 in our party, which I didn't think would be that much of a problem. We were considered a "Large Party" which, in my opinion was equivalent to being called "lower class, not worthy of being treated nicely", by the staff that was seating guests. We went early, as it was a Saturday night and I assumed it would be getting crowded. We arrived about 4:30 and were not seated until almost 6:30. Quite a few other "Large Parties" arrived after us, without reservations, and were seated ahead of us. My daughter-in-law complained and I also complained, but all we were told was that there was nothing they could do. If it was not my daughter-in-law's favorite restaurant, we would have left. Finally, after being seated, we were treated very well by out waiter and the meal was good and well proportioned. They have been in business for quite a while at this location. I would have thought the staff would have been a bit better at handling crowded weekends. read more
