Red Lobster is an iconic seafood chain that has seen better days. Under new leadership promising changes, I was excited to try them out. Truth be told, it will take time for those changes to take place. But the good news is they didn't change the lobster. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - This Red Lobster has not been remodeled, so the same dark wood tables and beams on the ceiling remain. There was a large bar in the middle. But I immediately noticed it was empty. Red Lobster is a very big restaurant, but this location only had one other customer. Also, the restaurant feels very old. The tables, chairs, and booths were very worn. Hopefully they'll get an update. No Stars. Service - We sat in one area with one server. The good news is she was awesome. Perhaps the highlight of my visit was that our server was friendly, smiling, and allowed us to take our time to look at the big menu. She also called out the daily special ($25 Steak & Lobster Wednesdays). Bonus, she kept bringing out Cheddar Bay Biscuits. 1 Star. Food - Speaking of those biscuits, if you've never had them, you must visit Red Lobster. These iconic biscuits are served warm, soft when you bite them, and pack a delicious bite of cheddar. Every time I eat one, I get pretty nostalgic. For my meal, I ordered Steak and Lobster. My steak (ordered medium rare) was more medium well/well done. Our server was nice enough to swap it out. No big deal because my visit to Red Lobster required Lobster, and it did not disappoint. The lobster meat was served on top of the shell and was the perfect delivery system for butter. Second bonus - hush puppies are back and still delicious. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I'm a fan of the new CEO, and I believe in the changes that are coming. Some of them are here (great service, hush puppies, and unlimited biscuits), but some are not (the restaurant is old and needs a makeover). Things went pretty well here. Service was good and the food was ok. For the deal of lobster and steak for $25 on Wednesday I'd say it was worth it. They have plenty of space for people with large groups to come in and chill. I wish the food was more savory but can't beat the price if you want both steak and lobster cheap. read more

Ordered the Mariner's boil bag that comes with a Lobster Tail for 42.99. My husband ordered the Sailors . When Kayli brought out our food , it was my daughter's and my platter first . While waiting for husbands platter, I noticed there was no lobster tail. The only one brought out was my daughters . So I looked in bag. It wasn't in there . I pulled up the picture on the menu and there is a lobster tail. When Kayli brought last platter I asked her about it and she looked shocked . I pointed out the the only one brought was daughters . I showed her the picture and she said it doesn't always look like the picture . She proceeded to tell me it's bits and pieces of lobster in the bag. I opened the bag and there was also no BITS of lobster . She said she could take it back and see if they'd put something in there . She brought it back and it was a jacked up looking lobster tail that didn't look appealing at all. We'd already waited a while and I hoped they hadn't done anything else to it since I sent it back . It was almost like she was going to still charge me 42.99 for an incomplete meal before she offered to take it back . My husbands platter was wrong . Wasn't supposed to have crab legs in it but it did and the spice was spicy . She didn't bus the table. Or bring a bag with the box like she did another table . She received bits and pieces of a tip and I advised the next table where the woman ordered the same thing , what had just happened before we left . It's very obvious this location is on a decline . We rarely come here and visit as a treat. I spent the entire time being angry about her excuse and poor explanation. Visited on Veterans Day and only wanted a slice of key lime pie. It came with a dried piece of line that was crispy as a chip and was missing the whipped cream. I sent it back after the waiter told me the manager told him to put that crispy chip of a lime on my plate. The manager didnt even come over to inquire about the issue. My friend enjoyed her shrimp. My teenage son was stuck overnight in Dallas this weekend, because his connecting flight was cancelled for bad weather. He arrived, fresh off the shuttle, at the adjacent hotel starving, and walked over to this restaurant 25 minutes before closing. He was attended by another teenager, who reassured him he had time to get food. He got an order of Cajun Chicken pasta, and his fellow (stranger) teen was kind and thoughtful to give him some other food from the kitchen with his entree, in case he got hungry later (after an 18 hour odyssey, stuck between Madrid and Los Angeles). This act of kindness was a comfort to my son, who has never been on his own in a city far from home. Needless to say, my son ate everything. I've had several meals from here, especially because they're close by to where I work. The food is always great however the to-go staff sucks. People will see me standing there waiting to be helped and act like I'm not there. Never got a friendly vibe , more so transactional. I understand it IS a transaction but sheesh a little customer service wouldn't hurt. Disappointing visit today with our waitstaff at table 32 at 2:48 pm. Although she was polite she didn't listen well nor write down our order. Cases in point, we ordered tea 1/2&1/2 and were given sweet tea, we ordered a shrimp cocktail appetizer which was never brought out to us, we ordered broccoli as one of our sides and were given a salad instead. Our biscuits were cold and hard as if left over from the day before! One of the greatest things we love about Red Lobster is their famous cheddar biscuits. Fail! On top of all that, we were never offered a drink refill and had to wait a long time to see our waitress again to even ask for a check. Extremely disappointing visit. Sadly, when it comes to Red Lobster, it's always a Hit or Miss experience. Our most recent visit was excellent. We ordered the new Red Argentinian Shrimp Skewer and the new Seafood-Stuffed Flounder with Langoustines. Both were fantastic. The service was great, and the food arrived quickly and hot. The one complaint I have is that the table was sticky. Also, the door to the bathroom was so sticky that it felt like walking through a movie theater during the 80s. I recommend these two new dishes. COMPANY NEEDS TO HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES The table was not cleaned when we sat down, and was not cleaned by the server after we were seated. we were sat down at the restaurant at 12:10pm, when ordered the unlimited shrimp we were only given 2 plates in a 2-hour span, the server constantly had to be reminded when we needed new plates, and would at times walk away when we were talking to them. He was not friendly or welcoming at all!VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I come with my family often to this location and it has never been this bad. Came in for Endless Shrimp Monday and it didn't disappoint! The grilled and scampi shrimp came out cooked really well. They weren't chewy, a sign of being overcooked, but were nice and tender. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Jackie made sure our beverages never emptied and was prompt in asking us what next shrimp dish we wanted so there wouldn't be a long wait in between. I had lunch in this restaurant yesterday. I had the fish and chips. In the past, it's always been too separate fish fillets, not real big, but not real small but yesterday was one huge fillet and I had to say it was not very good. No comparison to the quality of the ones they used to serve. I almost got up and walked out but I finished it. Paid my bill and left. I let the server know that she was wonderful and it was not her fault at all. I heard from friends at the store had gone way downhill and didn't believe it. I believe it now.
