A weird complaint until you consider there were four or five employees chatting right in front of us the whole time. They didn't even look up. 2. When we were finally seated, our waitress decided to show up and take our drink order. 10 minutes 2 waters. It was 3pm and no one was there. 3. After taking our actual orders, she disappeared and did not check on us until the entrees came out. In that time we both finished our waters. 4. We get our entrees, around 40 minutes after being seated. Fine, that's whatever. We both have no water and ask our waitress to please get us water. 5. We both finished our endless shrimp. Still no water. Haven't seen the waitress in a decade. She returns, no water in hand and asks if we need anything. I choke out YES, WATER PLEASE. 6. She returns with my boyfriends next order of shrimp. Yet again, no water. She asks if we need anything. Truly amazing. I again ask for water and a box. 7. My boyfriend finishes his plate; I am too dehydrated to order again. We pay. The waitress returns WITH THE BOX but not the water. 8. As we are getting up to leave, the waitress comes back with water and asks if we want any. I looked at my boyfriend like we were on the Office and said no. Came here for a dinner with a friend. We were looking for something affordable and decent which is exactly what this dinner was. I ordered their strawberry piña colada which was really good! It had fresh puréed strawberries on top of the colada which was really refreshing. They also served it in a tall glass. I definitely recommend this drink if you like sweeter drinks. For dinner I got the pick two dinner; I did the shrimp scampi and the fried shrimp. For sides I got baked potato and rice pilaf. The shrimps were really tasty but I didn't care too much for the sides. My baked potato was dry and the rice tasted very plain. Girl's night out....Ultimate Endless Shrimp on deck with margaritas!!! The shrimp was AWESOME!!! The COVID-19 guidelines are still in place, tables are spaced out every other table. Customers are asked to keep their masks on when they aren't eating. The salt and pepper shakers have been replaced with individual packets. Wow! Late this afternoon I experienced the worst service I've had in years. I ordered the unlimited shrimp and after receiving my initial plate I placed an order for refill. I didn't see my waitress or refill for 20+ minutes. She finally showed back up and asked if I needed another refill. I told her I never recieved the previous one. She went to check on it and came back saying someone must have taken it from the kitchen and she placed another order. I asked her to send her manager by. A few minutes later the manager came by and I informed her of the lapse of service. She said an adjustment would be made to my bill and she asked if I wanted an additional refill. I ordered another since I hadn't recieved my second yet. Later I waited another 20+ minutes for a refill. This place is an absolute beatdown. Particularly if you order the unlimited shrimp. Oh, yes I did get a adjustment to my bill. I got the employee discount a whole $6. Absolutely not worth it given the subpar (at best) service. I have a gift card to use but I won't be back to this location. Once the gift card is expended I won't be back to any RL period. You've been warned! read more

My son, daughter in-law and I chose to celebrate a birthday at Red Lobster in Irving Sunday, 3/24/24 just after 5pm. As we walked in and were being seated by the friendly hostess, we heard a group of people yelling at a pregnant server. These customers had children with them, and it was the adults that were being very loud, demanding, belligerent, disruptive and threating to contact corporate to complain. After they left several staff members came by our table to apologize for what we had just witnessed. We tried to our best to assure the staff we were fine, and it was us that were worried about them. Our service, food and over all experience was fantastic. I did reach out to the manager when we were leaving to apologize for the rude behavior of these people I didn't even know, especially on a Sunday. I went out to dinner with my husband last night and immediately was disappointed. After we were seated, the waiter came and took our order for drinks. He brought me a strawberry lemonade and a Boston peach tea for my husband. I got my straw and put it inside the drink and started swirling it around. I took a sip and then my husband looks at me with a horrible look and told me not to continue drinking it. He turned the drink around and showed me what was in it. We were beyond disgusted. The waiter came to get our order but we told him that we were going to leave. We showed him the drink and he said "I'm sorry I didn't see it". We were disappointed! I can't even imagine how dirty the kitchen is or how many other bugs are just crawling around that place. We will not be returning to that location any longer. We came to this red lobster for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary this evening. It started out decently when we arrived at 5:30pm, but they were not aware that our party, there were 19 of us, was coming despite us calling several days ahead of time to be sure they would be able to host us. Once we were in the banquet room it took 30 mins for our waitress to come and take our drink orders, which I assume was due to us expecting more people to show up. After we got our drinks ordered, we got to order our food at 6:15pm. After we ordered our food, we did not see a waitress/waiter for about 40 minutes. Our drinks had all been empty at this point for a while, and the biscuits were all gone as well. Finally a waitress came in, but she set a tray of salads on a table and did not say a word to anyone in our party nor try to serve the salads to us, we realized they were over there 15 minutes after they had been sat down and dispersed them amongst ourselves. The whole time we had been there no one had come in to refill our drinks or bring more biscuits after we requested another round of biscuits. Our original waitress Steph came back and we had asked for refills on two of our drinks and more biscuits again and finally the biscuits were brought out and two drinks. No one else was asked about refills even after us having to ask for a refill. By the time it was around 7:15pm the manager came into the banquet room and told us that the kitchen is a little backed up and our food would be out in about 5 minutes from then as it was sitting on the hot plate area. We did not receive a single plate until about 7:50 and our whole party was not completely served until after 8pm. This is where our problems with the service truly began. We had been very patient during the 2 and a half hour wait time, but everyone was starting to become hungry and many people were planning on leaving before 8pm. My sister was planning to leave by 7:45pm and she kindly asked the waitress at 7:30pm if her food (the endless shrimp) could be put into a to go box instead of on a plate since she needed to leave and they said that it would not be a problem to do that. When the food came out, quite a few of our orders were served to us cold, and my sister's food was on a plate instead of in a box. My sister then asked for a to go box multiple times and the waitress went to go get one and did not come back for 10 minutes. I had mentioned that they forgot a part of my order and that my fish was cold, so my sister went to go find someone to help us. When my sister came back, she explained that she had been yelled at by two of the kitchen staff and our waitress Steph. The manager then popped into the banquet room to check on how everything came out. I was honest with the manager and let her know that everything was not ok seeing as a lot of our food is cold and that my sister was yelled at by her staff. My sister then explained to the manager what happened and the manager decided to place the blame on my sister because of what she ordered. She told my sister that since she got the endless shrimp she shouldn't even be given a to go box even though we just received the food and my sister needed to leave. I then let the manager know that my cod was cold and the manager gave me attitude and told me that she would not have chosen the cod to begin with and then offered to remake it. At this point I was uninterested in even eating the fish and just said it was fine as long as the rest of the party got everything they ordered. The manager then offered our party free shrimp and a $50 gift card for my grandparents to make up for the bad service. We appreciated the attempt to make up for the disappointing service, but we were very upset with the way we were treated. I understand being in a high stress job, but there are plenty of people that have never yelled at a customer as a first response to irritation. That was extremely unprofessional. read more

Came here to have a early dinner with my husband and 2 kids. We entered the place with 2 hangry boys, and left the place with smiley faces. We had a phenomenal experience. The food was good..but the service was even better. We felt welcome. Waitress was kind, courteous and patient. We ate our food, as we were exiting the place, my boys saw saw the aquarium of and started asking inquisitive questions. Instead of blowing them Off like little nuisance, the 2 host took a lobster out of the aquarium and allowed us to pet them. I thought they did this for all young customers. My daughter came to town and took me and her father out for Mother's Day on Monday after Mother's Day. On my daughter's side of the booth there was a drip that made a puddle on the seat we had to get up mid dinner and move. My salad had so many bad pieces of lettuce that my husband commented that I was making another salad. The lobster on my stuffed flounder was rubbery. My baked potato was less than half baked so it was rock hard. We went into the bathroom and it was so disgusting that my daughter didn't want to be in there she was covering her face. While stranded overnight at DFW due to a typhoon in Japan, I reluctantly decided that Red Lobster's AYCE shrimp sounded like a good idea. After roughly five dozen shrimp of varying levels of grease saturation, a few baskets of their still delicious cheesy biscuits, and a few Long Island Ice Teas, I felt more than disgusting. But my once a decade Red Lobster craving had been crushed and the service was very pleasant.
