Recently helped family moved to Vegas and after a long drive in the U-Haul, I suggested Red Lobster in which I haven't had in ages in Fremont CA(closed) We arrived at 8:10 and I let the nice Jaeven know they closed at 9 and we wouldn't be long. Linda our waitress came and greeted us like long lost family in which I greatly appreciated considering it was almost end of day. Hubs got the margarita flight in which they were good and not weak. I opted for the spicy guava margaritas which had a kick as well. Linda put the drink order and return with them to take our order. She periodically would check on us. Highly recommend and awesome service even close to closing. Kudos to Jaeven & Linda. A nice lady who is the food runner was nice but had a unique name I dont recall. read more

Stopped by for lunch recently and were allegedly served by the "head waiter." The food was AMAZING. Portions were great, and the taste and quality of our shrimp and baked potatoes was perfection! It was the best meal out either of us had enjoyed in quite some time. Is it inexpensive? No, but we had leftovers for another meal, which was great. The server, however, left much to be desired. He kept explaining how he was mad at his manager that morning and that he was feeling frustrated that there were too many employees. There were endless missed opportunities, and he was creating way too much work for himself. We each ordered a baked potato, and only one was brought out as the other one "still had to cook for 5-10 minutes." Had to request a to-go box multiple times. He was taking items to incorrect tables. It was bordering on comical. Without question, I'd go back for the food, but would request a different server. read more

For a bit of nostalgia, we decided to drop into Red Lobster for dinner. They do take reservations on their website. The interior feels like a step back into the 90s, but this location seemed to be overall clean and well kept. The server was generally friendly but did not go out of his way to do anything extra in terms of friendliness or attentiveness. I tried one of their summer cocktails - the purple haze. It was delicious and definitely potent! I liked the flakes of edible gold in the drink. We had the coconut shrimp starter which was quite good with crispy shrimp and a wonderful light and slightly sweet coconut breading. Of course we had the complimentary cheddar bay biscuits at well. These were better than I remembered and were warm and crunchy outside and super soft inside! For an entree I had the surf and turf with the sirloin. It was actually quite good! The lobster tail was sweet and fresh and the steak tender. The baked potato was delicious as well and cooked all the way through and fluffy inside. The broccoli was mushy and overcooked, though. For dessert we had the key lime pie. It was quite good as well! Sweet and tart although it could've perhaps used a bit more punch of lime. Been sitting now for 20 minutes. It's 1:14 I had to ask, the hostess for water. The hostess even took our drink order. No word from our waiter/waitress. Hello, can I get some bread. No one heard the call. 25 mins later our drinks. She even asked if we wanted to order. Yeah, we came for bottomless shrimp, we don't know when we will see you again. I want to say this, our waitress had already delivered food to other tables, and checked on them twice. I don't know what we did. But this was blatant disregard. It's been 35 mins, she said would bring bread, how hard for some bread. Ok breads here that only took 9 minutes. After she said they just made a new batch. So it's been 45 mins, we have been nursing our drinks, had a biscuit, but nothing else. She hasn't been back. This place is not busy. We are her only table, and yet, nothing. I had to ask our waitress for more bread. The manager came over finally and I advised him what we experienced. The food, I ordered a cheeseburger medium, it was well, I mean well. Did I return it, f that. I was way too hungry, the shrimp was good according to the fam. The manager took 1/2 off. But the damage was done. And it wasn't 1/2 off. But hey. Today wasn't a good day here, the taste of the food is the only thing that brought the rating up to two stars. Our server was obviously triple sat, in restaurant speak it means he was sat too many times in a row, hostess fault, manager fault, all the above. It appeared they had cut the lunch servers too soon and got a mini rush after lunch, us, 135pm! Our server, Nick, said he had just one table before us, turned into the three he couldn't take care of anyway, redeemed by the host bringing biscuits after 10 minutes of waiting. Nick is still in the weeds, says he'll be with us shortly, wants to start us with drinks, we say we can order everything and he still starts with drinks! Order is done, a 20 minute wait later our food does come finally, we came in at 135pm, order done at 2, food gets to table at 224! We ordered Walt's shrimp, and admirals feast, fish and chips and three kids meals which the hardest one was grilled shrimp and 3 kids slushies which we had to ask for when he didn't bring them. No additional stopping by to check on us. We had ordered the stuffed mushroom starter and it never came, we just said to take it off the bill and bring the check. No ambiance as we were all in the same dining room with 5 other tables waiting also. Saw a manager maybe wiping tables and the other running food but no apparent concern for guest experience at all. Met the Momma for some dinner. We have been to this location many times. I met my mom there and she was waiting for me inside. I let the host know we needed a table for 2. My mom mentioned to me that a little girl spilled some water and the manager wasn't the nicest to the staff to clean it up. We sat and after awhile our server Alesha greeted us. She was great! We orders the lobster flatbread for the appetizer. I had the shrimp and sauce delicious! My mom had the surf and turf. She enjoyed her food as well. We ordered desert to go. I had the yummy strawberry cheesecake. Classic red lobster decor. Dated but clean and what you expect to see there. Now for the not so good part. While we were eating someone was yelling in the kitchen, several times. One time the manager stepped out and yelled across the restaurant to the server to 86 any popcorn shrimp. Also the language being used in the kitchen was not appropriate either. This is the reason for the low stars. Maybe it was just a bad day for her but not okay to be yelling so customers can hear you. Came to try the new Seafood Boils. Got the Mariners Boil which had crab legs, two lobster tails, shrimp, corn and potatoes. I mixed old bay and garlic parmesan seasoning extra spicy. My corn was semi cold but everything else in the bag was hot. I'd give this boil a 6/10. Potatoes were okay. The shrimp were tiny and the lobster tails meat was so tiny. Stick to the regular places such as Pier 88, Boiling Crab etc for seafood boils. read more

Pass the cheddar bay biscuits, pretty please! I've been coming to Red Lobster since my teenage years so there's a strong sense of nostalgia every time I walk through the doors. I stick with my longtime favorites: lobster tails, and coconut/grilled/Walt's favorite shrimp. No idea how I eat anything after consuming far too many fresh and hot biscuits. Their creamy Caesar salad is always satisfying, and they serve a fantastic baked potato that perfectly rounds out the meal. As for the "all you can eat" promos, I skip those since one plate can't even be finished. Portions here are massive. Nowadays we split one feast between two people and it's still too much. The food is consistently good and we're especially lucky with this location because service is stellar. Do NOT under any circumstance order the Steak! It was like trying to eat a chunk of burnt coal, only worse. We got the steak and lobster deal to go. Had we eaten in I would have returned it and gotten a refund. Also for a restaurant with LOBSTER in their name, it was pretty lame lobster, and it was gone in a few bites. Came here expecting to hate everything about it. Left with a good meal. This place is dated and dark inside. The only light was from the windows. The entrance has a musty smell. Like something is dirty and old. Now for the good. Had the wensday special stake and lobster at $28. The steak looks like a snack. But it was a perfect medium and very tender. The baked potato was on the small side too. It was warm. The lobster tail was what I would expect. Over all it seems the food portions have gotten smaller. But they do make for a balanced plate. I had to charge my car and noticed that it was HappyHour at Red Lobster. I walked over, was greeted asa I walked and sat at the bar area. My server was there in an instant which surprised me bc I was trying to end a call and didn't want to be rude. I asked for a moment to complete call to which she and proceeded to bring water, cutlery and menus. The prices were not that discounted but I didn't mind and ordered the lobster flat bread and virgin colada. I also asked for extra basil which heightened the flavors to me. Everything was hot and delicious. The lobster pieces were still tender though oven baked so I thought that was awesome (no one wants rubbery lobster) the drink was super sweet which I heavily watered down, next I'll ask for a glass on the side. Though the battle between the tv, the music and my earbuds was a little daunting I enjoyed myself and paid just in time for my car to finish its charge. I haven't eaten here in YEARS!!! Like at least almost 20 years lol My doctor mentioned taking her Mom and I shared that my Grandma loved Red Lobster when I was a kid. This was a treat for us growing up. Was in the area and went for nostalgia. Had the summer watermelon martini for $5 which is a great deal and it was STRONG how I like it! I ended up having a second one! Had a Caesars salad, crabby cheese fries and the OG! The biscuits! So yummy and they were WARM! Now, the service. I had the most beautiful server, sweet Ms. Linda! Let me start by saying I've frequented two Red Lobster locations in Las Vegas and one in Henderson ever since I was a child. This Decatur location is one of them. I have happy memories of going to Red Lobster and wanted to have a date with my partner here. We were seated quickly, but it took quite a bit of time for our waitress to introduce herself and get our drinks ordered. Luckily, we had time to review the menu on what we wanted to do. Lobster Fest seemed really appealing, but I went for my OG meal - the Ultimate Feast! I've done every possible combination. You can customize the Ultimate Feast meal from a list of two premium and two classic selections. You also get two sides, but there are some sides that come with a surcharge. For my choices, I decided on snow crab legs, classic Maine lobster tail, grilled shrimp skewer, and coconut shrimp. For my sides, I did the sea salted French fries and steamed broccoli. My partner got the Lobster Lover's Dream, which comes with roasted Caribbean rock and Maine lobster tails and shrimp linguini alfredo. His two sides were steamed broccoli and a loaded baked potato. We were served with the famous Cheddar Bay biscuits, which were hot and delicious. We polished those off, and without asking, another basket was served - so that was nice! It didn't take long after for the food to come. I noticed that one of my sides was missing (the broccoli). I also wanted a side of cocktail sauce. Most importantly, where is the cracker for my crab legs??? My partner flagged her down, and we were able to get all three on the table. There is no apology on the missing side.. I'm not sure how that got missed. It also took some time to get our drinks refilled as well.. Everything was delicious, though! I got to try a bite of the Caribbean rock lobster tail, and it was so amazing. The Maine lobster tail was good, but I like the Caribbean rock lobster much better. Coconut shrimp was good, and it didn't even need the sauce that accompanied it because it was (in my opinion) too sweet. Grilled shrimp was good. The snow crab legs seem like they got smaller over the years! It's still good, though. It took me some work to get the meat, but it was worth it. We both couldn't finish our plates, so we got some boxes to go. Our waitress, Monica, came out with a thick martini style glass full of vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and cherries. She said she hoped we saved room for dessert and said it was on the house. It was quite a pleasant surprise! We weren't expecting that. I thought it was a nice gesture. I was going to give this place a 3 star rating, but I feel like the waitress tried her best to provide better service towards the end, so I'm rounding it to 4 stars. I would say the only other areas of improvement for this restaurant would be cleanliness. The wall next to us had food debris stuck to it, the menus were dirty, and the booth had a hole on my side. Busy Thursday, we were sat in the bar area. The bartender isn't very friendly, and seems stressed. She hasn't mentioned to coworker that they are swamped and she's over it. We sat for 13 minutes before our drink orders were taken. Then another 7 to get the drinks ( non alcoholic ) as well. Then we order our food takes about 40 minutes to get that. In the meantime, we only got one refill that whole time. Other people got free stuff and we patiently waited for maybe a free appetizer or more biscuit but nothing. Felt so uncomfortable and the quality of the service was so disappointing. With all the gossip of closure you'd think the service would be top notch.
