I came here with a friend the other day because we had talked about the cheddar biscuits that Red Lobster has and he suggested that we go and get some. I was pretty apprehensive but I agreed to go and check it out. This particular location has recently gone under renovation...I remember it many years ago and the pretty much everything was sub par. Now that the renovation is completed I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant looks pretty nice and everything was clean (as would be expected with a new renovation). The food was quite good and the server was on point with attending to us and refilling our drinks the moment we started to get low. And the cheddar biscuits were epic! I went for Lunch on a Tuesday. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated even though the place was nearly empty (still trying to figure that one out). Our server was pretty attentive and accommodating and was there almost all the time we needed something (so, score a point there). The food took a while to get to us, even though, as I mentioned before the place was nearly empty (lunch). The calamari appetizer was good but came with more veggies than calamari (take a point off there). My dish was a combo that included scallops. The scallops were teeny tiny and were pretty tasteless. The stuffed flounder portion was minuscule, but that was ok because it wasn't very tasty. My best combo dish was the shrimp scampi, but it should have been named shrimp scanti because there were so few shrimp and they were so tiny. Ehh. For the prices (my dish was $18 for lunch), the quality and quantity OF the Food should be much better. Special mention about the Lobster pizza: one person in our party had the lobster pizza. The portion was very large and so we took home the leftover, which I ate the next day. That was the yummiest pizza I have ever had and next time I go (which I will because my daughter is a fan of Red Lobster), I will definitely order the lobster pizza. Finally after seeing the ads and knowing about this place for years, we came to Red Lobster for lunch. HUGE menu with lots of great options to choose from, also different prices. It isn't too expensive, if you go for the complete lobster your plate will obviously be more expensive than a person's who's eating shrimp, fish or what not. There are also a few surf and turf dishes and even land meals for people who aren't feeling fishy. The service was great, very friendly server who was checking up on us constantly and making sure we had everything we needed. 2 other people asked if everything was ok, I guess the manager? I'm also in the hospitality business and notice things most people won't. Most people are quick to complain and less likely to give compliments. This was the first time in a while that we went to visit the Red Lobster on Kendall Drive. We had gone before and were not impressed. Upon our arrival, there was a wait as it was a Saturday night. We were told it would be about 20 minutes. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 cocktails which were very good. That was the highlight of our evening. We were seated at 8:05 pm and the waitress immediately came and took our order, we ordered another round of drinks and their seafood stuffed mushrooms. Other table were bearing seated next to us, we heard one couple next to us order the same appetizer. It's 8:20 and they are brought their appetizer. Our waitress came and apologized saying that she got confused and gave them out appetizer! Long story short, we got our food at 9:20 pm! The food was blah, smothered in butter and just really thrown together. Lesson learned again, you want great seafood avoid the chain restaurants. Stick to local seafood places in Miami, we have several great ones. I'm happy we had a gift card to Red Lobster, otherwise I would have been really upset at the service and the quality of the food. read more

I came here tonight with my family, and I must admit that for $15 (not including tax and tip), I was able to get a whole lot of food-- in fact, a four course meal. I ordered the potato bacon soup (it was thick and creamy), the caesar salad (it was all right-- just a bunch of lettuce with four croutons), the pineapple shrimp which came with rice and broccoli (the whole star of the meal; the pineapple sauce was sweet and flavorful-- aaaammazing!), and the brownie dessert. Tip: If you order the $15 4-course meal deal, eat the dessert there. If not, they will only give you a tiny morsel of dessert that you can seriously eat in four bites. I ordered the brownie to go, and there was no ice cream :: sighs :: The food was good for the price. However, my only complaint would be the slow service. I think, overall, my family and I waited about 45 minutes for all of our food. Probably the slowest service I have ever experienced in a chain restaurant. My last meal here was a few years back and I remember it being pretty good. Decided to try delivery via DoorDash recently. No problems with the actual delivery, but the quality of the food was not even worth the delivery fee I paid. This was the worst meal we've ever had. 80% of it was thrown away. It was that bad. Ordered Walt's favorite shrimp with garden salad and baked potato and added a serving of shrimp scampi. Also ordered the kid's Mac and cheese with broccoli and lemonade. Walt's favorite shrimp. Every shrimp I tried was salty. First I thought it was bad luck. But the whole batch was bad. I tried to remove the breading to see if that was what was oversalted and maybe I could at least eat the shrimp. Breading was fine. The shrimp tasted like they had been sitting in a salt brine for a month. You couldn't save them with a squeeze of lemon or cocktail sauce. Baked potato was good. Shrimp scampi was rubbery. I had requested no onion on the salad. Greens were a wilted, watery mess, and as soon as I opened the container, all I could smell was onion. There was the onion. My house smelled like onion even after I threw it in the garbage. Completely inedible. Mac and cheese was overcooked, soggy pasta with a yellow coating that didn't have any taste of anything. Whatsoever. Broccoli was also steamed into oblivion. You could mash it with a fork. They didn't include the lemonade. They didn't include any cheddar biscuits either! (In comparison, when you order from Cheesecake Factory, even for pickup/delivery, they still Include bread and butter as part of your meal. Why would Red Lobster skimp on the biscuits you get at the table? That's a cheap practice). The only edible thing was the baked potato. They should change their name to Baked Potato and just serve that. Worst way to spend $30 (plus the delivery fee and the driver's tip, so it was even more but he didn't do the cooking). Awesome, glad to see the rebuilt Red Lobster in our neck of the woods opened for business again. 5 of us had a late lunch yesterday, and the ambiance, service and food was great. Horribly greasy and flavorless food. My grandma ordered the flounder and it had no seasoning, no salt, and the texture was that of mush. Just horrible. Everything was greasy. To add insult to injury, our waiter was clearly not interested in earning tips. He would disappear for forever and would come with the wrong food. I must be the only person that has never, ever been to a Red Lobster. Then again, according to my husband, I might be the only person that does not like shellfish. But I got images of Flounder swimming with Ariel looking for gadgets, gizmos and thingamabobs! I ordered it anyway. My husband got the 45 shrimp thingy. We each ordered a soup, one potato cheese and one clam chowder. Soups were okay not out of this world delish but okay. Hubby chose the scampi, mango jalapeños and shrimp linguini. He enjoyed it, size of shrimps was small as expected, but not that bad. Plus plenty of food for $12 after a coupon. I, on the other hand found out that I do not like flounder. Yes, I know it's a chain....but I have been to better chains of Red Lobster. This is a place my coworkers like to go for lunch from time to time. They have a decent lunch menu where you can mix and match 2 items, a side and a salad (plus the good greasy biscuits). So, you get a lot of food for the $12. The seafood is okay. Nothing to write home about. The shrimp are usually shrimpy (as in small), and the fried clams are fried clams (kind of hard to mess those up). The salads usually come with too much dressing, I always forget to ask for it on the side....maybe next time the coworkers want to go back I'll remember..... read more

Another chain restaurant that has managed to stay in business despite their food. The food seems to be reheated and prepackaged. The clam chowder is awful. Anything fried is greasy and more breading than actual seafood. At this point I suspect most of the food is imported from China. Tilapia is not seafood. It Is raised in sewer like conditions and is probably the worst choice you can make. I'm pretty sure you ate here everyday, you would be die from a heart attack. read more

I was really impressed with what an amazing server we had. She was so friendly and attentive. My friend and I both ordered the Ultimate feast and it was huge! I couldn't believe how much food came on my plate. I was also pleasantly surprised with how much cheaper the wine was here compared to other restaurants I go to. I am only giving one star because the greeter was the best person working there.I was waiting to check into my hotel room and Red Lobster was next door, I have not been there since the 90's and thought it would be nice to go in for lunch. I mentioned it to the greeter and she said "oh you must be here for the cheddar biscuits" I forgot about them so was excited to try them again. I get seated,there is only one other couple in my area. I wait, waitress comes around I said give me a minute please but I would like a Bud light. She comes back with my Bud light takes my order . I ordered the make your own special with shrimp scampi, and coconut shrimp.Sides where ceaser salad and mash.Still no biscuits.Greeter asks "how where your biscuits"? I wouldn't know never got them. The greeter brings them to me.The waitress never came back to my table not once, not to ask if everything was ok, did I need another beer ? nothing. The Shrimp scampi was very salty and small shrimp, the coconut shrimp was just pure batter, I flagged her down to ask for a to go box and the check.Still never asked me if I needed anything or how was it? She showed me how to swipe on the table kiosk and I had problems swiping, she went to the register and waited, she came back and asked why didn't I pay yet? I said I still need a box and it wont swipe, she swiped it at the register. I gave her a two dollar tip and ended up throwing away my meal. While I've been to Red Lobster before it's been well over 2 years since the last time I've gone and I totally know why. To me... the best thing to eat is still the biscuits and you can enjoy a good drink here. Today's new southwest shrimp tacos was a let down. The corn tortillas were just a littke too sweet for my palet and I feel it didn't pair well with the other flavors. The shrimp was flavored with nothing special and the spicy cream sauce was just meh. The other part I really didn't like was the slaw they had in it. My son on the other hand, LOVED his Bal Harbor Lobster Bake. It was good but drenched in butter. Our appetizer was pretty good, seafood stuffed mushrooms. I had been to this Red Lobster many times, before the renovation. In fact, it used to be one of my favorite places to go as a child. Everytime we came to Miami (I grew up in PR) I insisted- much to my brother's chagrin- that they take me to the "clam chowder place." Over the years, it got a bit run down, and with it, the quality of the food and the service. BUT NO MORE! The renovation has brought a new life to the place. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and the menu has been tweaked a bit. I ordered the pecan crusted shrimp, and I was so sad when those two skewers were empty. I could have eaten another entire plate of it. The food was fresh, the service was nice and polite, and overall it was a great experience. I attended this restaurant on my birthday July 19, 2016; unaware of the consequences I was going to face soon. I ordered snow crab legs with french fries and got food poisoning approximately six hours later. I had to go to the emergency room because I was puking stomach acid consistently. The puking and diarrhea would not stop. I felt horrible and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I've gone through. I was injected at the hospital in order to heal and I still wasn't able to properly enjoy a meal for about a week afterwards.
