I had not been here for almost 14 yrs. My late husband and I would go at least twice a month. I finally decided it was time. It's not at all the same. First of all the utensils were filthy the server took them back twice finally I said nevermind. My order Asmirals feast took forever server came and informed me they were out of Cole slaw it was a Friday night. She brought me a salad..she brought the meal but no baked potato I ate we waited I finally asked a different server for check. At this point I just wanted to pay and go. But went for the first time in over 3 years and besides the always delicious cheddar biscuits... service was slow, they were out of some food items, my child gagged on the Mac and Cheese, coleslaw was gross. The server also kept forgetting things we'd ask for. More napkins, never came. More melted butter, never came. Drink refills, never came. Very disappointed. Used to love coming to this Red Lobster location but not anymore as it's been going downhill for the past year. Just getting the hot bread biscuits now takes a half hour. The Maine lobster tails arrive undercooked and cold even though you ask the waiter for well cooked and hot. Totally unacceptable as that's your most expensive dish. Management needs to get in the kitchen and figure out what's going on in there. Hard to understand WHY it's not possible to get a well cooked lobster tail. The waiter takes the order and then disappears who knows where. Have to ask other staff for help. When he does show up he forgets the stuff you asked for so have to keep asking again. Ordered two meals Admiral's feast for my mom which was good. BUT the second order Cajun chicken pasta gets an F plus. The chicken was very chewy rubbery like and could not be eaten and pasta was basic. Okay... so let me start by saying that I came here unwillingly. When I think of going to dinner.... Red Lobster is not my first choice but my son wanted to come here. So... here I am writing a review for Red Lobster Kendall. I had seen reviews for this place and I have to say they weren't so encouraging but I was determined to make the best of my visit. They all said bad service, bad food. etc. But what I experienced was different. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and escorted to our table with a big smile. Hostess was super nice. Little after being sitted our waitress came and introduced herself to us. Brought our drinks shortly after and of to a good start. After we made our mind in what to have she took our order and food came in a timely manner. Salad was dressed and food was on point. We had wood grilled Trout from the catch of the day menu (2 of them) and also a lobster shrimp and scallops dish that was cooked nicely and it was plentiful. All of the entrees come with two sides so we mixed them to try a few options. I think all off what we had was good. For drinks... I ordered a glass of Sangria (way to sweet) and a glass of wine from their selection. I would stay away from the Sangria and pick a beer or something else. Prices are moderate to high on some dishes. This I am comparing to other places that serve seafood but aren't part of chain restaurants. Overall a good place for taking the family. Service was good and I have to say that I disagree with a lot of bad reviews I read about this kendall location. Disclaimer: this was my experience on a given night. The first batch of Cheddar Biscuits were half raw in the middle. The lobster Artichoke dip had a few good pieces of lobster but the artichoke was chopped into such small pieces it was almost nonexistent. The dip was mostly the cream sauce it was all in. The one shining spot was the salsa on the side. Scallop & Shrimp skewers were lacking any kind of seasoning, not even salt. The stuffed flounder was edible primarily due to the sauce being flavorful. A side of "crispy" Brussels sprouts was not close to being crisp. The waitress was apologetic and removed the up charge for the Brussels Sprouts. She also was polite and friendly. The restaurant was sparsely occupied so she was able to check on us throughout the meal. We were seated in a booth in the bar area which was quieter than the main dining area. It was actually nice to have a conversation without having to compete with music that is too loud or loud patrons. I don't think I will return. We love seafood, and red lobster is one of our local favorite places to go when we are not in the mood of driving all the way to the Keys. The food tastes amazing 98% of the time. We've had our not so great experiences but that's normal, it can happens everywhere but what's important, at least to our family if that the pros are bigger than the cons + a good customer service. And if that's something you're looking for, don't think it twice. The service there is out of this world. At least from Kevin. The service was the worst, when the food arrived part of it was already cold, the salad was drenched in dressing, they forgot our sides and the drinks got there half an hour after the fact. Then when they came to our table to ask how was everything and we complained is when they decided to tell us they where short staffed and had a short circuit earlier in the day which meant they had to send alot of their employees home not realizing they were going to get busy, and it wasn't even management coming to our table to explain and at least apologize for the inconvenience and all the time we had to wait for food and not to mention refills. I love the food, the coconut shrimp with the pineapple sauce is to die for. The crab Alfredo not the healthiest but it sure taste good. And the Lobster bisque... yes so so good! Today I tried a newer dish it's Dragon shrimp and it was delicious. It's breaded shrimp on a bed of rice with steamed broccoli and a ginger sauce but I swapped the rice for more broccoli. Food was pretty good, but not worth the price. This was personally my first experience at a Red Lobster and it was okay to say the least. The servers were great and they did a fine job attending me, but the food in itself, for the price, I just don't think was worth it. We came for the unlimited shrimp, and it was good enough but I would have much rather gone to a nicer restaurant with higher quality food for a similar or even slightly more expensive price. The lobster bisque I ordered was actually delicious, as well as the iconic free biscuits. The only reason this isn't getting one or two stars is due to the great service that was provided. They are taking COVID safety measures which makes the experience safer. The food was good. I ordered a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. For the main courses i ordered the lobster linguini and the endless shrimp Monday special. The linguini was a bit dry but good overall. Shrimp was great. Had two drinks; Bahama mama and the Tito's vodka lemonade-delicious! Not giving it 5 stars because the service was not that great. Waitress was a 2/5. Red Lobster, I have a lot to say about you. While the concept seems great, somewhere to go where the lobster and seafood is guaranteed fresh, at the end of the day, one has to remember that they are a chain restaurant. So my boyfriend and I dined here last night due to a $25 gift card we were given. We have been living in West Kendall for 3 years now, and this was our first time stepping foot in this restaurant. We had both been to Red Lobsters in the past, but had not felt the need to try this one until being given the card. Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated fairly quickly. The place was pretty dead for a Monday night. About 10 minutes passed, and we were still not greeted by a server. After making a comment to the hostess, we were finally greeted. I'm not sure if she was busy with other tables, or if the hostess failed to tell her we were sat. We had pretty much decided what we wanted by the time our server came, so we placed the whole order at once. We decided to try the Dragon Broccoli as an appetizer. My boyfriend chose the King Crab Legs special with sweet potato mash and fries. We were told they were out of the sweet potato mash, which was upsetting because it looked really good in the menu. So he then opted for the balsamic tomatoes. I was considering the fried lobster and cheddar waffle, but was told the batter is similar to the cheddar biscuits, which I don't like all that much, so I ordered the Dueling Lobster Tails instead with asparagus. Our meals also came with salads, so we opted for the house salads to start with. The Dragon Broccoli came out first, and I have to say it was really good. It had a nice flavor and small kick to it. Unfortunately we were then informed that the King Crab Leg special was not available, so my boyfriend had to choose another dish. Again, another disappointment. He then chose the Ultimate Feast with Lobster Mashed potatoes. When our salads came out, I noticed my tomatoes were frozen. They were literally icy when I bit into them. Pretty gross. Out came our entrees soon enough, the only thing that was missing was the Lobster Mash, which they informed would be out soon. My Dueling Tails entree was okay, not amazing. The lobster tail cooked in the parchment paper was not cooked enough, and it still seemed a bit raw. The other one was better. My boyfriend enjoyed his entree for the most part, but the Lobster Mash sucked. When it finally came out, it was still cold, so we sent it back. I'm assuming that they already had it pre-made, or maybe even frozen, and did not warm it up long enough. So needless to say, it wasn't fresh. Overall, the meal was subpar. Our server Senia B. was great. She was helpful, friendly, and very hospitable. My review does not reflect her service, but of the actual restaurant itself. I gave her a great review on their survey, which led us to having a free dessert. We were not thrilled with out Red Lobster experience. There were too many disappointments overall. I think we would only return if and when to try the King Crab Leg special, if they have it. But I wouldn't make this a place to frequently eat at. read more

Yesterday was my worst experience at this Red Lobster. My family arrived at 7:30 and by 8:10 we ordered our food. Our waiter took a long time to put our food order in and it didn't come to the table until 9:20. That was over an hour. Around 9:00 our waiter came by our table and apologized for the wait that they were backed up in the kitchen however it still took 20 minutes. By that time my kids were starving. The waiter did bring an extra plate of biscuits but the biscuits were also poorly made, they lacked flavor and was brought to us cold; the waiter didn't bring the biscuits until 5 minutes before the food finally came. The people that were in the booth next to us arrived after and ordered after and even they received their food before we did. Normally I would understand that the kitchen was backed up but not in this case because even if the kitchen was backed up the people in the booth next to us still should not have gotten their food before us. My husband ended up tipping the waiter a 10% tip on an $130.00 bill and even then it was undeserved. We were never rude to the waiter and we were very patient. Eventually, after I finished eating I had to take my toddler to the car at 9:40 pm so she could fall asleep in the car and my husband could eat in peace. Lastly, management needs to teach their employees what company they work for. We had a $25 gift card from olive card to use and the waiter didn't know how to ring it up. Darden is the name of company which owns several restaurant chains like Olive Garden, red lobster, cheddars and Bahama breeze. This was the first time I went to a restaurant and the waiter didn't even know what company he worked for. My husband used to work for Red Lobster ( the very same one we went to) and knows that the gift card should have been accepted. This place was very disappointing and probably the worst birthday dinner I've had. We were supposed to have dessert and my family was going to sing happy birthday to me and couldn't because I had to spend the rest of my night in the car so that my toddler could sleep. read more

I still have refused to visit any Red Lobster restaurant since our weird encounter with server Kersuze J. at this location. Hope she's moved on. I've never had any server hover over us like she did while we were trying to sign and pay the bill. She literally stood about a foot away from us at the table and watched us fill in the tip amount on the receipt. My take-out food was supposed to be ready at 7:40. I arrived at 7:50 to pickup my food. Five minutes later I received a text saying the food was ready and on its way out. A lady came out and told us the food was ready but the bread was not. She said it would be 5 more minutes for the bread. We said we would wait. Twenty minutes later we were still waiting. I got off the car and went inside to find many other people also waiting for takeout. I mentioned to the girl that if the rest of the food had been ready and bagged 20 minutes ago it was not going to be the right temperature. She assured me it shouldn't be that way and if ii was dissatisfied they could prepare it again. What then, wait another hour for the food? As it was, we didn't get out meal until 8:20pm. As I predicted, when I got the food home the bread and the shrimp cocktail were the only two things that were the right temperature. The mozzarella cheese sticks and the coconut shrimp were no longer crispy, they were room temperature and a bit soggy. The two salads were warm from being bagged with the hot food and the croutons were soggy. The soup was lukewarm as were the entrées. The bread was as delicious as always. And the shrimp cocktail was packed with ice so it was still cold. Do you think I wanted to take back the food to the restaurant and ask them to remake it? Obviously I didn't want to have to drive back over there and wait even longer for our meal.
