    Watermelon martini

Typical chain restaurant, serving up seafood. The service was good, the food okay. The star of the lunch was the watermelon martini. I was disappointed in the menu. My favorite item, crab stuffed mushroom caps has Parmesan in it. Since this is a chain, things are pre prepared and they can't alter anything much. It is just okay. Il

Don't order from this restaurant through any delivery service. It doesn't matter how much you spend, when they send you things you didn't order and leave out what you actually paid, you're just S.O.L. I SPENT OVER $60 ordering the Lobster Lover's Dream with grilled Brussel sprouts and broccoli and extra butter. But what I got instead: One small rock lobster tail, and a cold, over cooked, mushy bitter Maine lobster tail, No butter at all. No broccoli, but instead I got a single, cold hard, dry baked potato, no toppings, no butter, no chives, no sour cream, nothing at all. And the "grilled" brussel sprouts were burnt, and cloyingly sweet. Completely inedible. Absolutely the WORST LOBSTER Dinner I have ever had, and I'm disgusted that I spent $60 for a meL that went straight in the trash! Awful.

Okokokokkkkkkk. So this is my first time at a red lobster. Where I live I hear it's illegal to have one because it's the ocean state and it'll take away fisherman business. So I was also excited to come check it out because Beyoncé the BeeHive queen reference it so duh I walk in. Ok back to the review. So cool place, typical franchise. Though I'm not a huge fan of franchises, I was with a group and they wanted this. Lots of parking. It's in a place where there are other commercial business sites. We were quickly greeted, seated and order taken. I ordered fish and chips and wasted expecting nothing grand. I'm allergic to shellfish sooooooooo about 85% of the menu will make me go to the hospital unless I got super creative with sides, but nobody got time for that hahahaha My friends ordered some pretty dope looking meals but they were not impressed. They are big Red Lobster fans so they were pretty disappointed The lobster bisque that was ordered was returned. The baked potatoes were untouched. The fried boroccoli was dope. And the coconut shrimp. But the staple. I mean the STAPLE to the table were those biscuits. Wow they were excellent. I'll only come back to order biscuits and see my family!

So yeah I haven't eaten at a Red Lobster's in years. The last time mid- Covid I ordered to go and the food was very salty and not edible (before that it had been years but we wanted to support the food industry during Covid). Fast forward to Monday, we went because I received a gift card (someone dislikes me, lol) so I figured why not see if anything had improved. Heavy on the sighs but the highlights were the customer service as our waitress was super nice and attentive tho they seemed short staffed. My baked potato was amazing as well as the cheddar bay biscuits and mozzarella sticks! But that's where the excitement ends my friends! My daughter and I opted for the Duo special where she ordered the mozzarella sticks and chicken Caesar Salad (the sticks amazing and the chicken on the salad she stated was seasoned well) the downside of the salad s the letters warm (not sure if the plate was hot or the heat from the chicken but I'm any event it was a pound of warm stalky romaine. She ate what she could. I ordered the fish and chips (opted for the baked potato again it was perfect) side salad (a crazy amount of onion, I love onion but the salad toppings need to accompany the greens, definitely disproportioned. The fish was fried well but lacked any sort of seasoning, I thought the tarter sauce (which for me was historically good, was bland also) would help with flavor but didn't. Sigh. And they plated a small side of slaw which had an odd flavor and clearly hadn't "marinated" long enough to make it palatable. At one time they served good slaw. The meals were $15.99 plus tax. But I think, well I know this will be my last trip unless it's a birthday dinner or something (praying never, lol). And re-gift if I ever get another gift card lol.

    Garlic Linguini Alfredo

This was a to go order. I was a little disappointed with my order tonight. I ordered 2 garlic linguini alfredo and a dozen of biscuits. No complaints about the biscuits but the linguini could have been better. One had an ample amout of noodles but lacked enough sauce while the other one was just the opposite. Who ever packed and/or bagged this should have seen the discrepancy before bringing it out to a customer.

I love the food, the service is really slow. It takes them such a long time to do any simple task. The food is so overpriced.

Everything on the plate had its own distinct textures and flavors. Even had leftovers. (This never happens to me with fish.) My friend had the seafood paella. Beautiful dish. Lots of different kinds of seafood distributed amongst the flavorful rice. I hate how at some restaurants you have to search for the seafood. Service was great. We sat outside and did not feel like we were forgotten even though we were the only people sitting outside.

No reservations but I was able to be seated immediately and was given complimentary herb crusted bread with oil/balsamic vinegar mixture for dipping. The bread was very tasty however the olive oil was very "oily" and overpowering flavor wise. I ended up pouring most of the olive oil out and leaving the balsamic vinegar for dipping and that did the trick. The bread was very light and airy. Highly recommend 10/10! I ordered the Maria's Margarita ($14) for a beverage. I did request to substitute the orange juice for pineapple juice. Not sure if this significantly changed the profile of the drink but I anticipated it being sweeter than it was. It was just okay, nothing spectacular. I likely wouldn't order it again. I ordered two entrees: crabcake ($25) and chicken Alfredo ($24). The alfredo felt a little elevated with mafaldine noodles in lieu of traditional fettuccine. I wanted to love this dish but it lacked flavor and seasoning. When I added salt it definitely tasted much better and was more enjoyable. Some pieces of chicken texture was off and hard. The second entree, the crabcake was flavorful, but very different than any other crabcake I've ever tasted. It had 2 sauces on the side: chipotle aioli and eggplant puree. The sauces were competing interests. Also the makeup of the crabcake felt like there was more breading base in place of actual crabmeat. Additionally, I was very surprised it only came with one small crabcake especially for $25. That price seems a little steep, in my opinion. I wanted so much to love this place especially with all the good reviews but it fell a little flat and left me disappointed overall. The food arrived pretty quickly and it didn't seem busy. My server John was very friendly, helpful and attentive so the service was great, no complaints. The venue is absolutely beautiful and very intimate. They have 2 sides and the bar area is located in the middle. Oh and before I forget, the hostess Irving was very sweet, super helpful and appreciative of the feedback I gave directly to him about my experience overall. My total was $66.78 and with tip my overall bill came to $80. I'm undecided on whether I will be returning. I need to think on it some more. The 3 stars given are mostly for the overall beauty of the restaurant, service, and the delicious bread.

We had a very underwhelming, near disappointing, visit to Bluefish Grill several years ago and was…read morerecommended to give it a try again recently. Definitely wanted to go in with a clean slate, knowing how many things for a restaurant can change in three or four years. I have to downgrade to one star though based on this week's dinner. I really don't see where there's a quality of food, flavor, friendly service or atmosphere that doesn't register as a fail. We were dining with a few other families (the place holds about 8 or so tables max) and another guy I could tell totally loves this place - it's an understatement to say that I don't get it. I really don't. I honestly feel like Gordon Ramsey's "Kitchen Nightmares" needs to go in and explain to them everything they doing wrong - because where do you start... Everything we ordered was overcooked, or cooked incorrectly and was not delicious, much less impressive. Let's be specific - the fried calamari was heavily battered and over cooked, the octopus balls were overcooked on the outside and offered an overly hot unidentifiable soup on the inside, and the fish & chips were basically two overcooked large triangles of thin fish and thick breading so the experience was a crunchy, dry thin processed piece of fried something that, whether visibly or by flavor, had no real indication there was fish present inside the deep fried breaded triangle. Service is beyond blah, it's indifferent. I dont mind the small dive atmosphere whatsoever, but at that point there's actually nothing I can point out of pleasure, value or reward for going here. What a place. Not a single smile, no warm greeting or any sentiment that anyone's glad you're there. No time for you. Just tell me what you want. Despite being a tiny place it does not guarantee your table might be walked by a dozen times while youre obviously ready and waiting to order. It always strikes me when a place is slow to serve you or give you proper attention but quick to bring you your check. I'm glad some people like it enough to keep it in business, but I don't get it. All I see is room for improvement , by which I mean needs for improvement - everywhere. I wish I took pictures of our meal but I didn't want to denigrate or erode the time we were having with a friend of ours. Taking pics of this food would have been too obvious and I really wanted to focus on enjoying our company regardless of the fact that I'm definitely going out again tomorrow night to reset my palate and have a total do-over. *Update, we did head over to The Flying Pig the next night where we can always count on having a high-quality friendly experience - and great good. The next day was Saturday and we went for dinner at Penny Lane Pub, again where we could count on a delicious meal and a welcoming, friendly environment. At that point I had mostly forgotten the regret I had held over from the second and final time we'll ever give Bluefish Grill a shot. The owner's attitude, of saying "then why do you come back", rather than being curious about what they could do better tells it all. An owner who stubbornly asserts everything's perfect, it's the customer who's the problem I've seen before - and in the long term it doesn't bode well for the business.

Their table bread was outstanding! Very soft and perfectly baked! Their starter brussels were very nice... perfectly made brussels and a tasty combo with lardon. I opted for their blackened mahi with a side salad and spinach. The spinach was by far the best thing on that plate... the salad was overloaded with red onions, and I love red onions, but not this many, cut this large on a small salad. The mahi was soooo dry and overcooked, I literally only 4 bites. The funny thing is since I didn't eat it, when the server took it, I kind of expected her to ask about it, but she never did. This tells me that there's very poor training here for their staff, both back of house and front of house. The manager on duty was very nice, friendly, and helpful. I didn't complain about the fish; frankly, this is a seafood joint, they need to execute right on something so simple and it's not an oddity that mine was messed up... another coworker got the mahi too and he told me later that night how horrible, dry, and overcooked his was too. But I will say, those that got rockfish in our group love it and it looked spot-on. I rarely visit this area, so I'll definitely not be coming back. But when I do visit the area I prefer to have a better experience. Disappointed since this place was suggested by a couple of people I trust when it comes to a good food experience.
