Now as for the food, we went with the Seafarer's Feast and the Ultimate Feast foe yours truly. The seafood itself was prob a 2 in terms of lack of the robust flavors I'm used to at seafood boils and the way they do seafood down south. It's always a fun time if you bring the right friends, but as always your food is generally going to be overpriced, over cooked, and under portioned. The servers are generally really good, but tonight we felt extremely rushed, which attributes to the overpriced feeling, again if I'm going to be paying $32 for a plate of over cooked shrimp scampi and dried out broiled scallops, the least I can do is sit here for 40 minutes and enjoy my friend's company. Dear Amy (our waitress) please try to be nice to your customers a smile goes a long way! Ok so I admit we came 45 minutes before closing time but that's no reason for snappy attitudes. My business partner asked for a salad with no dressing and when he got dressing on his salad he ask our waitress to take it back Amy rudely answer that it was from the salad bar and it's gonna have dressing. This is something you should tell your customers when ordering. Regardless she took it back and perform the miracle of bringing back a salad without dressing. Not sure why this place has so many terrible reviews... but I can see when I drive by sometimes that this restaurants parking lot is full. From what I've read from previous reviews is that service sucks. I honestly think that is just do to lack of staff... but I could be very wrong. Regarding my meal here: I had no wait, although it was on a Tuesday night. I place was moderately packed and our waitress was very pleasant. She tried to sell us on the lobster mania thing... and paced our meal well. I noticed that the booths and tables around me were handled by other servers, which made me think that the servers sections must be small. 2 or 3 tables per server. (not the best situation if you're trying to make money) but anyways... one would assume that you would have VERY attentive service if that were the case. Our servers missed a few changes to our order... but they were minor. Broccoli instead of green beans, Caesar instead of the house salad... My rating is higher than most because I understand that this place isn't some 4 star restaurant - so my expectations were leveled a bit lower. Regardless, service was nice and the chef... or expo guy came to our table and delivered us our meal. I though that was a pleasant touch for a chain restaurant. I love Red Lobster, and this location didn't disappoint. However, nothing extraordinary happened to make me want to go back any more frequently than I'm already accustomed to. Our server was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. If this location has had staffing issues in the past, I think the management has properly dealt with the issues. This is also the first time I've been to a Red Lobster without having to drive two hours to get there. I will definitely return to this location in the future. read more

Let me start off by saying how the parking lot here is always packed. Which would explain why there's always a crowd in the waiting room when you enter the restaurant. The wait is always 20-30 minutes after you check in. You can definately hear the hosts talking about how frustrated they are with the seating. Our server greeted us and offered excellent service, which I'd rate a 2/5. We started out with a salad and the clam chowder soup. The soup was very bland and runny. It was missing a lot of flavor, like salt. Next we got a basket of their famous biscuits and the mussel appetizer. The biscuits, hands down, are amazing. Mussels, on the other hand, we're the opposite of the clam chowder. It was super salty, perhaps from all the butter loaded in there maybe? I don't know. The shells were all completely shut, even the minute fork they gave us to prive it open didn't work. We got the ultimate fest and the wood grilled shrimp, lobster, and salmon. The crab legs were stuck on the shell, you literally had to open up the whole shell and scrape it. It didn't come out as a whole piece. I felt like the salmon had no seasoning or flavor to it at all. Lobster was ok. We didn't touch the breaded shrimp at all. I upgraded one of my sides to the lobster mash potatoes, it was NOT worth it. There are lobster pieces in there but the whole thing is slobbered in butter. The broccoli pieces were too big. French fries-add your own salt. They have nothing on them at all. I feel really disappointed in this place, and that everything's drenched in 10 pounds of butter. The biscuits are the only thing worth it and they don't refill them unless you ask. I dont like this location. I recently moved so this was the closest to my house for my boyfriends birthday dinner. My food was luke warm and lobster was rubbery. Awesome experience! A nice change from the usual careless staff. Linda was awesome, friendly and attentive without being annoying. Kati was so accommodating and understanding when we asked to move to a different area because of noisy and unruly kids at 9pm. The food was fabulous and on point! It was hot and fresh and well seasoned. The drinks were strong but not burnt, and the new caprese salad and lobster roll were fabulous and would for sure order again!! Had some gift cards so decided we could afford to take the family there for a birthday gathering. Such a disappointment. Put us in the bar area in a large booth, hate booths for six people. Service was nothing to write home about, he was very cordial and making jokes about how he cooked the food himself and just trying to be funny. When the food came out, they tried to give us somebody else's food, actually gave it to somebody at our table and then took it back and tried to serve it to somebody else who was sitting near us. They put up a fuss because it was served to us first, I couldn't believe he was trying to give it to the other people after serving it to us. We did get our food shortly thereafter. The New Orlean's blackened salmon was very good. I ordered the shrimp trio. The shrimp alfredo was like eating glue. Too much starch or flour, it was lake paste on a plate. Took forever to get seconds on rolls and a long time between cocktails, apps and food. If I am going to spend $30 a person for dinner and drinks I want a little bit better service and food. The cheddar bay biscuits, and that's it. Everything else wasn't worth paying approximately $60 for two. Mom and I both decided to visit red lobster for the first time, and we chose this one. They made us wait almost a full hour AFTER placing our order, and kept stuffing us with those damn biscuits! By the time our meal came, we were too full with the salad and biscuits to even care - we were really hungry when we initially came in! The food tasted reheated, and for a seafood spot, they didn't seem very generous with the seafood. We packed up, and left never to return. Red Lobster is the Denny's of sea food...they're just OK. I drive by this location almost everyday...and they're always packed with customers. My wife is a sea food nut and has been bugging me for months to stop in. We finally decided to go there this afternoon with our daughter. POSITIVE: Technically, everything was good. We were seated quickly, the staff was friendly, the food came quickly, and the food was pretty good. We had two adult meals (shrimp, lobster, scallops, mussels), one kids meal, one appetizer, and three drinks. NEGATIVE: In general, it wasn't a warm or welcoming place where we felt we could have a relaxing dinner and just hang out for a bit. Maybe it was just us but we felt anxiety to leave so they could turn our table. In addition, a few other minor negatives... The menus were just too much. There was a regular "dinner menu" and also a "Lobster Fest" menu that was almost the same physical size. (Each of us had one of each.) Then there was the menu with "fresh specials". And a "kids" menu (our daughter is old enough to choose from an adult or a kids menu). And of course, there's the "drinks" menu. Finally, we had the "lunch specials" menu sitting on our table...for Monday through Friday (it was Sunday). We had menus ALL OVER THE PLACE! It was somewhat confusing and overwhelming. And the server kept coming back frequently to ask if we were ready yet. We had TEN different menus flipping around our table of 3, like a giant poker game! The booth was small. In hind sight, I guess we should have asked for a table. I'm a pretty big guy and I was literally bumping elbows sitting next to my wife. Our table wasn't set with flatware and linens when we arrived. We were almost finished with the appetizers and we finally had to ask for implements. I asked for cream with my coffee and my server forgot. I had to ask for a refill after it sat empty for a while. For 80 bucks, I think they should have been on top of these details better. Our server seemed busy as hell. She was really nice. I kind of felt sorry for her. Despite the missteps, I left her a nice tip. Again, we felt like we should eat and leave so they could seat another table. Obviously, they're very good at this because they always have a lot of customers and they seem to cycle them through efficiently. Our server, Mac ( Amanda ) Was awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Went in for lunch today. My mother I law and I got the Admirals feast..... And it was. I can chow down a good meal but was unable to finish it as it was too much food. Wife got Shrimp and clam strips, Daughter got fish and clam strips. Went to the Coon Rapids location and had horrible food and service. I am not one to ever complain but when you pay 37.00 for the ultimate feast and the crab legs are smaller than your hand, the shrimp were gray, the lobster tail was maybe the size of a small chicken tender, it's bad. We waited for drinks for 15 min after ordering them, got salads and no bread until the food came out. The manager came over ,I let her know and she said that crab season is bad this year! Really? Coborns has great crab legs, huge ones, for cheap! And the oysters tasted like they were canned and placed in the shell, no brine at all, aluminium taste. NO GOOD! read more

Called ahead and was told we had a reservation at 6:30, got there at 6:15 and was told they don't make reservations, told them what I was told earlier and was told 2 other large groups had been given seating so we would have to wait 20-30 minutes. 45 minutes later we were told it would be another 30 minutes, and the last time at 7:30 were told it would be another 20-30 minutes. We left, you missed a $200 tab. Previous visits showed food wasn't as good as other locations anyway. Will never go there again. read more

I came in for a nice lunch today for my fathers birthday 02/16/2020 at 1:30PM. We had a party of 5 and requested a booth because my dad has a neck condition so it's hard for him to sit in chairs comfortably. (We normally would do a reservation but always have to wait either way) The hostess took my name and said it would only be about a 15 minute wait which was completely understandable. As we waited all the people that had been there prior were seated. (This is of course normal). There were about 10-12 people waiting for tables in the area up front when one of the hostess started braiding the others hair in front of all of us. My family was staring at them confused why they think that's sanitary at all. Then the manager came up and was talking with them and let them lounge and do each other hair without saying anything. (How I know this was the manager will be explained below) We were still waiting and people that got there way after us with a group of 5+ were seated. I immediately went up to the hostess that was braiding the others hair and asked if she knew how much longer it would be.( please note that the whole convo with her she kept her hands in the other hostess hair) She said what is your name and that she only gave me a quoted time and are waiting for the booths to be emptied. I again asked if there was an estimated time at all for us. She then said no. My family and I discussed that we would leave in a few minutes if we weren't seated.The other hostess that was getting her hair done at work came up to us a few minutes later and said they have a table if we want. We said ok at this point because there was no eta on the booth. We got to our table and noticed 2 big booths that were open. The first hostess happened to walk by as we were sitting down and overheard us and said that section isn't open very rudely to us.( As a restaurant wouldn't you open up that table for people waiting and give one less table to the waiter ??) We decided to bring our business elsewhere after the hostess was overly rude. As we were walking out my fiancé saw the manager was up front again. He asked him if he was the manager he said yes. My fiancé asked him if it was a health code violation and he said no not unless they are touching food. My fiancé responded with it is very unprofessional that the hostesses were braiding touching greasy hair right in front of all the waiting customers. The manager proceeded to tell him " As long as they are not touching food it doesn't matter". What?? They are touching our menus and are front staff they are the first face you see when you come in. I have never seen this type of weird behavior at any restaurant or business I have been to. I wish I would have gotten there names but please note the date and time above. My food finally arrived and than I was told to pay. Well there was a problem with the register in the bar and they had to find a manager. So my food sat at the bar getting cold and colder while they tried to figure how to ring me out. Well finally they did manage to ring me out and food was cold when I got home. The manager never said sorry about that or anything .and they charged us for the biscuits which I thought were suppose to come with the meal, but apparently not if you order take out. So I see that this Red Lobster only has 2 stars, which I think deserves not even a star. It's funny to think that the only fresh seafood they have is the lobsters. EVERYTHING else is either frozen and pre portioned or rip open a bag of premade sauces, noodles and shrimp. Most establishments do have fresh sauces and seafood flown in everyday. I used to work at one. The gm Chad gives off that he cares about his employers, but he definitely has his favorites and professional isn't his right hand. Revenue and bonus' are what he strives for.
