Visited Red Lobster in Murfreesboro...it's been 15 or so years since I dined at an RL. Sat at the bar and Jaley got me set up with some water and a beer while I looked over the menu. Decided on the Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms for an appetizer and the "New" Lobster & Shrimp Linguini. Jaley brought out some of the legendary Cheddar Biscuits while I waited for the appetizer. The Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms were OK, needed salt & pepper, and weren't very hot. Took quite a long time for the main meal and Jaley was great at keeping me updated. The Lobster & Shrimp Linguini was disappointing with "scrap" lobster meat, flavorless shrimp, and an unimpressive lobster sauce. This is a new special dish RL is touting...it needs a lot of work. After dinner I spoke with the manager to share feedback regarding the meal tonight. He was concerned about my experience and would discuss it with the kitchen staff. I did reiterate to him the great service received from Jaley.

Was in the mood for seafood so we stopped here. We came at a good time as it was right before the dinner crowd. We got seated and our server Kayla took our order. We didn't have any appts but ordered dinner. I had the New Orleans salmon with choice of sides . Rice pilaf and baked potato. Salmon was great and meal was very filling. Wife had chicken and pasta dish which she enjoyed . The restaurant was clean and got our food fast . Prices were reasonable and would come here again.

First of all we were seated almost immediately. The hostess was very prompt. Our server Brittney was outstanding. She came by and checked on us periodically and made sure our food was satisfactory and if we needed anything extra. The chefs although we didn't meet them were outstanding. The food was completely awesome. Steaks cooked perfect, lobsters melted in your mouth. Everything was exceptional. The evening was wonderful. The restaurant was clean and everyone was super friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed which is nice after a long day. Couldn't ask for better food and service.

I know...it's a chain, but I love a number of their seafood combos. And it's hard to beat their snow crab, scallops, or lobster unless you're cooking them yourself at home.

Had the lobster &steak and it was delicious! Bahama was a frozen delicacy. Our waiter TJ was personable and attentive.

Clean restaurant. Lots of parking. Biggest RL I've ever been in. Great food and service. Right by the mall. 3 miles from MTSU.

A Cut Above the Monday Blues…read more The Chop House has quickly become a go-to family favorite since my folks moved to Murfreesboro, whether I'm in town visiting or they're dining on their own. The food and service consistently hit the mark, and our latest visit was no exception. I was surprised by how bustling it was for a Monday night--the place was absolutely packed! There was a party of 30 near us, plus a group of 12 right next to our table celebrating a 2-year-old's birthday. It was great seeing everyone having such a special celebration, and despite how busy the team was, we were seated and served in a very reasonable timeframe. My mother made a reservation in advance, and the team graciously accommodated her request for a booth to help with her back issues. They are always wonderfully welcoming to her 5-pound service dog, who sits quietly right beside her. Everyone--from the staff to the fellow diners--was warm and friendly, which makes the whole atmosphere even better. I usually go for the prime rib sandwich, but this time I opted for the full prime rib dinner with soup and a baked potato. It certainly did not disappoint, though it was so generous I couldn't even finish it all. As one of the nicer spots in Murfreesboro, it's a wonderful choice if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion--or just enjoy a top-tier meal.

The Chop House has to be one of the best restaurants in town. Nice interior. Great bar. Friendly…read moreand accommodating staff. The manager greeted me kindly. The food was perfect and really not even that expensive compared to my home town. I started with a nice Cabernet. I had two in fact. I did not know that Tennessee has an extra tax (LBD - 15%) on alcohol sold by the glass! I thought Republicans were all about low taxes. I also enjoyed an absolutely delicious shrimp bisque. It was really good (and only $6 for a bowl). It was smooth and flavorful. In my neighborhood that would cost $15. My entree was a daily special, yellowfin tuna. It was nicely seared on the outside and sushi grade on the inside. I could really taste the healthy Omega 3's. The fish was served on a nicely flavored bed of long grain rice. A wonderful mango salsa topped the fish. The accompanying broccoli was perfectly steamed. This was only $26. I shall return again to this great place.

I asked a few friends and locals of Murfreesboro where to go for dinner in the area…read more Four different people ALL menioned The Alley on Main, so I HAD to try it for my dinner date! They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

We were told 35 min wait but that turned into five minutes! Excellent!…read moreEli was an incredible, knowledgeable server! Very personable! The ambience was cool! A little eclectic vibe. Comfortable w a low noise level. We started with noise salads which were very small. The dressings were very good. My wife and I both had the beef tips special (mine medium rare, hers medium well) - the meat was tough and chewy on both. She had the garlic mashed potatoes and they were excellent! I had the broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and served still hot! All in all a great first experience - made that way because of Eli our server! Thanks for a good meal and great service!
