Friendly attentive and explained a few new additions to the updated menu. Ashley brought out a fresh hot basket of biscuits yes smaller than in the past but still good. While we waited for our food she noticed we had 1 biscuit left and asked if we'd like another basket..of course we do! We both settled on the new create your own Ultimate Feast. I choose 2 lobster tails which were again smaller than the past but still cooked perfectly, the coconut shrimp which were fried golden brown and a nice size, along with grilled shrimp which was kinda small but still good. 2 sides I choose hush puppies-new they were ok I've had better and steamed broccoli. My dad choose the 2 lobster tails and double the Walt's fried shrimp, mashed potatoes & broccoli. Ashley frequently checked in to see how things were tasting and if we needed anything. We both throughly enjoyed our meal and are excited to put Red Lobster back into our rotation when eating out. We'll also definitely ask for Ashley as our server too! read more

They recently were scored by the Health Department a perfect 100 and we had a gift card so we thought we'd head over and check it out. We both had the Endless Shrimp promotion for 24.99 each. Not sure if it was really worth it as, we both didn't eat all that much. That said, all of the food was great and served very hot. Plates were nearly untouchable it was all so hot. Shrimp were large and tasty for sure (see pics for size, etc.). The coconut shrimp, which are butterflied, were huge and were our favorite. They arrived with a sweet coconut dipping sauce that was delectable as well. There's a large horseshoe shaped bar in the center of the restaurant and the majority of the seating is booth seating, which we absolutely love. Our server BeBe, was absolutely terrific and I recommend you ask for her, but also make sure the host/hostess does not seat you in the closest booth to the kitchen. What would have been a quiet and relaxing meal was ruined by having to hear the continual shouting in the kitchen. Note: the restaurant was half full and as such, we didn't feel we should have been seated nearly in the kitchen. Had we been seated at a better table, the score here would have been 4 out of 5 instead of the 3. Tons of parking all around the place and all for free. Went here on Wednesday May 6th 2026 for the first time with my parents. We came here because we had a gift card to use. We also really don't dine at red lobster, and haven't been at one in a long time. This is located around the area of the coastal grand mall, where there is also a cracker barrell and longhorn steakhouse nearby. There is plenty of parking for red lobster, and we found a spot right away. We then entered, and waited a while for someone to greet us at the host stand, finally, someone came and greeted us and sat us down at a booth. The restaurant itself is quite large and has lots of tables/booths and a bar. Our server, greeted herself right away, and got us 3 waters, 2 titos strawberry lemonades, and one long island iced tea. She also got the biscuits for us. I didn't like the biscuits as much because they taste cheezy, and i'm not one for too much cheese. My parents liked them thought. Took a while for us to look over the menu, and decide what we wanted: they have lots of seafood dishes plus chicken and steak dishes for those who don't eat or is allergic to, seafood. Our server did make excellent recommendations, including answering questions about the all you can eat shrimp! For entrees, I ordered the New Orleans Salmon with hush puppies, and brocoli, my mom ordered sirloin M with brocoli and rice, and my dad got the Shrimp unlimited, with all you can eat shrimp. Throughout our stay, we ordered coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, and more! We even ordered more and took some home with us including the popcorn shrimp, and coconut shrimp. I tried the leftovers and they were very good! My new orleans salmon was tender and was on par. Our server was great and checked on us. My wife and I visited this Red Lobster restaurant on my 68th birthday. We have been coming here for the last 4 1/2 years. This was Saturday 9/5/2026, Labor Day weekend. Our server Alyssa was very polite and reasonably gave us good service. It took longer than usual to get our food. It took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did I was unimpressed. This plate I ordered cost me $44.99, the ultimate feast. I order it every time we visit. This plate of food was the ultimate failure for quality. The lobster was so overcooked that it was inedible. The fried shrimp were overcooked; the shrimp scampi were overcooked and rubbery and very little scampi in the saucer. The hush puppies were slightly overcooked but still edible. The baked potato was cooked okay as it was the best part of the meal. The crab legs were overcooked and that was the main reason for us going there. Our server asked us how was our food and I told her that this was the worst plate of food that I have ever been served in the past 4 1/2 years that we have been coming here. She was apologetic and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager or would I like her to get me another plate. I said no to both. I explained that I didn't want another plate because of fear of retaliation from the person who cooked my food in the first place. Our server agreed with me when I pointed out what was wrong with my plate after showing her each discrepancy. I was truly disappointed that their head cook would allow a plate of food that looked like toilet remnant's be served to their guests. I never have seen a manager on duty in 4 1/2 years so why would I speak to one now. We ended up asking for a box to take the food home. Even though the food I was served wasn't fit for human consumption I still feed the wildlife in my backyard for I don't like throwing food away even if it's gross. I worked as a waiter when I was a young man and I can promise you that I would never have served my customers that nasty, gross plate of food. I am truly disappointed that this happened. Stopped to eat at the Red Lobster by Coastal Grand mall that I actually had thought was one of the many that had been closed in South Carolina . Ordered the lobster dip with the two types of lobster in it and the sweet waitress I had said it would be 2.00 off on any appetizers their delicious biscuits were on the table and she brought out a big basket of tortilla chips and a side of salsa to go with it . I have NOT dined at Red Lobster in possibly almost a decade! Tonight while on vacation, my family of 7 chose to dine here! First of all, we were seated quickly and in a record breaking time Elena (our incredible server), took our drink order and returned with them QUICKLY! We were dining with two seniors (one with different abilities), and three children! Oh those babies had Elena spending with their "we dine five star requests"! My TV ready children had Elena laughing and running at the same time. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and they were ! Matt, the manager came out to check on us and said even added extra char to my sprouts. This was the first time my children dined at RL and I'm sure they will be asking to come back! Lunch at the Red Lobster was excellent! Kim our sever was friendly, welcoming and efficient. I had 3 different shrimp and took 1/3 rd of it home for another meal. Shrimp were tender and cooked perfectly. Also had popcorn shrimp and again brought home enough for a meal. Prices were very reasonable. We indulged in a lucious chocolate cake also. They have great happy hour dinner specials that don't break the bank. From the host who seated us to the manager who stopped to check on our food, a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it. Having redeemed a gift card, we just left Red Lobster and each of us are STUFFED! The husband had a pasta entre, "Lobster Parmadello," savoring each bite to the end and wiping his bowl with the remainder of one of their traditional complimentary biscuits. IMO, these could have cooked a bit longer, adding the "crisp" I recall from years past. Heading home with a take-home box of 4 shrimp and half of my salmon, this generous-sized piece of fish was the FINEST I ever recall having... anywhere...EVER! It was grilled to perfection (kudos to the chef!!) and not quite cooked in the center and delightfully seasoned. I can't recall the title of this dish but it was a combination of grilled shrimp, lobster and salmon, glazed with a brown butter sauce. A choice of 2 sides were offered. I chose the coleslaw (EXCELLENT) and steamed broccoli. The broccoli was way past overdone than any broccoli I can remember being served; yet to my surprise, and perhaps due to the seasoning, I ate and enjoyed every bite! Our server "Liv", was helpful by answering my many questions, including the feedback of previous guests. She was friendly and seemed experienced and sensitive to our needs, giving us "alone/talking time", yet and not leaving us waiting. "Matt", the manager on duty also stopped by our booth to confirm that all was to our satisfaction--a plus!+ Thinking back to our initial entry and requesting a booth by a window, we were politely and immediately seated. Easily keyed in to aromas, odors and fragrances, a vaguely unpleasant odor greeted me, which my husband did not notice. This Sunday afternoon we decided to visit the Red Lobster in Myrtle Beach, SC after considering the positive publicity their new CEO received. It literally felt like we entered the "twilight zone " as the entire restaurant including ceiling, walls, windows and furniture were grimy and outdated. We almost walked out when the host acted cold and with an attitude of "why are you here?" But we decided to stay and try the food. Totally disappointed and disgusted with the food. We sent back the lobster bisque and the chowder which were nasty. We were not able to eat the seafood because it tasted like freezer burn. And out of respect to our Server, who actually cared about making us pleased with the food, we paid the bill and vouched to never again return to a Red Lobster. I've never used curbside pick up but because I was 30 minutes away I tried it. I arrived 5 minutes late. I called the number on the sign and the gentleman told me that he didn't have time to check now but he would check to see if the order was ready when he had a chance. I went in and only saw one employee who was behind the bar under a giant to go sign. I told him what i was told and he told me to check in on the app. I said I was not going to down load an app to check in on an app to pick up food already ordered and paid for he told me it's not my fucking problem. I asked a waiter to find a manager. The first guy showed up with my food. Then some guy in a dress shirt is charging at me. I asked if he was the manager which he said he was. I told him what the bartender said to me. His response was to grab me by the elbow and tug while telling me to leave his restaurant. unbelievable all the way around. The food arrived quickly and was perfectly cooked with wonderful flavor. Nick and Jayln were the chefs on duty. Charlotte stopped by our table and we were able to let her know how great the staff was tonight. The place is very clean and family friendly. Kevin went above and beyond expectations by being available for our many questions and comments and was still taking care of other tables. We felt like we were his only guests. Went to Red lobster #6318 1230 North Retail Ct Myrtle Beach. This was our 1st time back since the new and improved opening. Don't waste you time or money !!. My wife ordered a $39 sea food plate and the only item on the plate that was worth mentioning was the salmon. I ordered the 7 oz sirloin. In a world where people seem so disinterested in working these days, having someone like Joanne represent you as an employee of the establishment is a bonus. She was personable, efficient, kind and brought out our items in a timely manner, as they were hot and delicious. Drinks were refilled without asking and she even made sure we had a few extra cheddar bay biscuits. This person was a good reason to go back again for another meal. And so, with it looking like they were closing (which they weren't) we asked a server if they were open. This guy just flat out rudely ignored us and gave us both this look as if to say: " if I said yes, would you leave?" Bad first upon entrance impression vibes. Skip to the food... The oh so amazing cheezy biscuits I once remembered...were neither of those things. They were burnt and greasy. On to the main entre.. I ordered the Baja shrimp bowl.. The shrimp was neither Baja and the bowl was neither hot (temp wise). It tasted like i was eating a cold rice and quinoa salad bowl w over cooked shrimp. I decided to give them one last shot with the dessert. I ordered the chocolate wave cake. Ya more like wave goodbye. This cake tasted so artificial. How artificial was it?! We haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 20 years. So when looking for a place to eat on a busy Saturday night, there wasn't a waiting line here. That may have been a bad sign, but we felt adventurous. We were greeted warmly and quickly seated. Our booth was right by the entrance so I didn't see the main dining set up. But what I saw appeared a bit dated and in need of a upgrade. Our server, Kyle, was very friendly and helpful with our selections. We ordered a Lobster Artichoke dip as an appetizer which was tasty and had a decent amount of lobster chunks in it. We also tried the Sweet chilies shrimp appetizer that was very good. A little spice but not over done. I had the Salmon, shrimp and scallops plate which was surprisingly good. There was a good amount of nicely cooked seafood. My only con for the entree would be that it was a little too butter/oil heavy. We also had a crab alfredo and the Seafarers Feast (fisherman's platter). My family said that they enjoyed both dishes. Well my spouse and I did our once a year dinner at Red lobster,for the Endless Shrimp. My opinion is and has been, Red Lobster is the Walmart of seafood. But the basic part of us really enjoy the shrimp feast. Our service by Jessica/Jessi was really good,not a problem. The food over all was good. Your basic variety of shrimp. We tried all and even the ones on "secret ""menu".. some how thou I always eat the shrimp scampi like a whale eating plankton. Call the Coast guard I need airlifted home,meh. I held back giving a 5 due to fact we waited at host stand so long I almost went fishing in the lobster tank to hold me over till the shrimp. If it's a busy Sunday with Endless Shrimp, you may want to have a couple host. Well that's that . Indulge yourself in the scampi,the pain is worth it.
