First of all let me point out that the service we received here was absolutely outstanding. Our server could not have been kinder. My issue is with the food and the interior of the restaurant itself. The crab stuffed shrimp was super mushy, The lobster pizza was incredibly greasy, The crackers served with my daughters baked potato soup were stale. The lobster trio and the crab legs that were ordered at the table weren't bad. The restaurant is dated and that's fine but the ceiling tiles and air vents were quite dusty. We ordered a dinner To-Go. I had a crab legs dinner with extra lobster tail - and received only 2 small clusters! I ordered crab legs there several times in the past and it always was at least 3 bigger clusters or 4 smaller ones. For an appetizer we ordered stuffed mushrooms - received just a big or actually pretty small mess since there were only 5 tiny mushrooms, and stuffing was separate from the mushrooms like they didn't actually care to stuff mushroom with it! Also we ordered a kids meal, which was popcorn shrimps with green beans. Again - we order it often and know how it used to be. Today we received only 8 tiny shrimps and a spoon of green beans. Went because of the lobster specials and they were adequate. The broccoli was steamed but had no taste/seasoning. Sauce on the linguini was pretty weak and neither of us finished it. I had the fish and chips which was cooked fine but again; tasteless. So if it's seafood you're after go somewhere else. For a quick lunch stop it's adequate. Still dark and dank interior design. I ordered delivery from the red lobster in Orange Park for lunch because I haven't ordered in a while, and was really craving shrimp. It might've been two years since I've been to red lobster. I was ready for the food to be subpar and cold by the time I got here nine minutes away from my house. I was quite surprised, and very much excited that the food was warm, delicious and the portions quite generous. I've been going to that red lobster probably for about 30 years, until the pandemic started. The last couple times I ate inside the food was not so great, but this time it was reminiscent of the old days when it was so delicious, hot and very generous portions. Living in Florida, we rarely eat at chain seafood restaurants, however, we had a gift certificate to use. We sat at our table for over 15 min waiting for drinks (even water), so we finally flagged down a manager. We ordered the 3 course meal. Once we finally got our drinks, all of our food came out at the same time. Not a big fan of trying to eat three courses at once. I ordered the Atlantic salmon. Never again! It looked like it had been freeze dried before it was cooked. It was a disgusting orange-brown color and was way overcooked. I ate one bite, then pushed it away. Luckily, all of the other food was really good, so I filled up on lobster bisque and Brussels sprouts. It was so much food, that I couldn't eat my salad. My husband had the fish and chips. He liked it and was given a really nice sized portion. The waitress was nice, but she told us she would bring us a dozen biscuits to make up for the crappy salmon. She never returned to our table, so we left. We won't be going back since we have so many fresh seafood restaurants nearby. read more

She was friendly, attentive, and patient with my sister's kids (6 year old and 5 year old). She made sure the kids had crayons and had a natural warmth about her. Unfortunately, the server on the other side was rude and abrasive. She abruptly interrupted conversions several times. My father and uncle were mourning the loss of their brother and became quite aggravated. Towards the end of the meal, she began cleaning off our table in earnest--felt like she was scooting us along. They were not busy that Thursday evening. If anything, Red Lobster is consistent. Best item offered are the free garlic cheese biscuits. read more

Yesterday the Wife and I went to use the gift card we received Saturday night from the screw up at the Baymeadows store. We order had a few drinks and then our salads came. We previously liked going here for the shrimp bruscetta and gumbo. Gumbo was first to go from the menu. Then the bruscetta was removed from the menu. In all honesty everyone knows its a poor mans seafood restaurant but we really did enjoy those two items. Those were mostly all we ordered. They still have a nice salad. Clam chowder is nice as well. We no longer patronize them without those items I mentioned. You are better off buying Mayport shrimp or other seafood from Publix and grill it yourself. Or prepare as you desire. Or choose a better seafood establishment, we have many in the area. The quality of food they provide is not up to par in my opinion. But service is always fantastic on their positive side. read more

My husband and I went to your restaurant on May 15. The food was awesome but your waitress was awful. We sat in the bar area, order our drinks (two beers), She told us 20 minutes later that they were coming out, but the bartender was working on a to go order. Also she stated that the cook had just put in a new batch of biscuit and she would have them out in a few minutes. 30 minutes later I asked the hostess to please check on the biscuits for us, she did not know we never got the first round, she enquired if we would like 3 or 4. I told her we would just like the first serving. She was very surprised we haven't got the biscuit already because we were almost done with our salads. In the mean time our waitress came out flying with a tray of food for two tables, now mind you this is into hour of our dinner. Still no biscuits. When we finally got the well known Red Lobster biscuits I asked for the check because she was standing at our table. I didn't want to look for her I was ready to get home after almost two hours. I don't know if she was busy elsewhere or having a smoke but it sure was an unreasonable amount time in between her being attentive. Is that how you make your tips? When we got the check we waited for her to come and take our payment by card which she never did, my husband by this time was furious, So he took cash and put it in the card holder. I would rate this restaurant a negative star but the service was great. The best thing about this place is the waiters in my opinion. I had the bar harbor meal and it wasn't fresh and it was tasteless. The butter and white wine sauce did not taste like either one of those ingredients ever made it into the sauce. I made an attempt to eat it but after about 3 rubbery scallops and 1 over cooked lobster tail, I decided that would be enough misery for me at dinner. Red Lobster responded to this post and made it right and more. My wife and I just had a few appetizers and a kids meal for our daughter and it was amazing. I ordered online, went to pick it up, the service was amazing and friendly. When I brought the food home I was skeptical initially however that quickly left after opening the containers of our food. We ate every single bite and could tell that it was made with care and the brand in mind. Thank you and we appreciate the effort. Im sorry to have to post this but tonight me and my family went to red lobster to celebrate my step dads birthday and our dinner experience was good until towards the end of our meal a cockroach decided to crawl across our table and spoil our appetite! The server was very apologetic but to pay for the prices we were paying for our food ( more than 20$ a plate) thats just completely unacceptable! This is the worst Red Lobster I have attended. I'm actually seated in this establishment, as I type. The waiter was inconsistent, the service was slow. When we finally received our appetizers ( we ordered mussels) the had to send them back more than once... Because they served us closed mussels... Anyone who is educated in serving seafood knows you NEVER serve closed mussels.. The manager went to every other table except for our to ask us about the meal... Im assuming she knew we werent happy... All in all the service as well as the experience was unpleasant. I would NEVER wat here or recommend this place to anyone... I have been craving Red Lobster. Went early when they were not busy. It took forever for the server to ever come to take our order. The lady at the table beside us had not touched her salad as it was wrong, but her husband had finished his salad. People kept walking by us, but no one would stop. Finally the server came out of he kitchen and the lady complained. He told her he would get her another salad right away. Then he came and took our order. He never came back to either her table. With the restaurant empty and all the people walking around they should not have given him a second table. It must have overwhelmed him. He never came back. I told the hostess to have him cancel our order since we never saw him again. Manager did ask if we wanted to sit somewhere else, but other servers were just standing around talking. Came here for lunch yesterday, and I've got to say, I have mixed feelings about the place. My lunch date and I walk in, and are told there is a thirty minute wait. We ask if we can dine at the bar instead of waiting for a table, they agree and send us in the direction of the bar. It took a full 15 minutes to get a drink order, and another 10 at least to actually get our drinks. Another 5 after that to get our complimentary rolls. They forgot the shrimp on my Cesar salad. The employee was very apologetic and kind about it all, they truly seemed understaffed. The food WAS wonderful though, as always. It took a full 2 hours to complete our dining experience. We did speak to the manager and he was very polite to us about the whole thing. And although they were apologetic, I hope they take heed to our advice about hiring a few more employees to work that shift. read more

I gave this place a chance despite the bad ratings because I desperately wanted a good seafood dinner. This is one of those times when the overall rating really does reflect the experience. I ordered the ultimate feast with rice, French fries and a baked potato. The lobster tail was undercooked, the shrimp in the scampi tasted like it had been boiled in water and the rice was extremely crunchy. The potato was baked to perfection, the French fries were hot, the grilled skewer (substitute for fried shrimp) tasted perfect but was cold, and the crab legs were cold and somewhat bland.
