At 1 time, red lobster was the top seafood restaurant in the country for a chain. But at the moment, they remind me of an old school. Morrison's or Piccadilly when it comes to seafood. There have been times in the early 2000s. You couldn't get a seat in this restaurant because the food was great, the price and works great, and the atmosphere was great. Man I hate too give a place I used too love only 3 stars. We walked in and got right in. The waiter Eddy was right there and gave us excellent service even being he is a Giants fan. The food was a typical Red Lobster pretty good for the most part. Why I'm giving them a 3. Man they need too build a new building this place you walk in and it's dark and smells like mold or musky. We went for a family meal. The experience was ok. I enjoyed the company around the table more then the food. Our waitress Mercedes was fantastic. She was kind and attentive. The food wasn't hot and had to be sent back to heat up. The pasta dish and the chicken tenders were yummy. I'd order those again, however I would NOT reorder the bacon Mac n cheese. It sounds delicious but it was grainy and tasted like they used cheap ingredients. Definitely not worth the $1 up charge. Came in at 5:30 today for dinner with my significant other and my daughter. I went to the restroom before being sat down. It was relatively clean save a paper towel on the counter. We were sat in the bar area. I ordered strawberry lemonade with a water. And my s/o ordered sierra mist. Originally I ordered apple juice for my daughter but after a wait, our server Victoria, came and said they were having issues with it, so I ordered her a water instead. We ordered the surf and turf meal. I had my lobster medium rare and his was medium well. My sides were green beans and mashed potatoes and his were caesar salad and mashed potatoes. My daughter had the mac n cheese with french fries. My steak was grilled to perfection. The lobster was really great too. We also had the cheddar bay biscuits, which as always, were delicious. All in all, this location is really nice. The food was great. The service was decent. And the bartender was able to break a 20 for me and I left him a dollar and tipped the server with cash while using the presto to pay with card. We frequent this Red Lobster often and have always had great service and great food. It's definitely my favourite Red Lobster in the Jacksonville area. I tend to order the same thing just about every time. I love the shrimp scampi and the coconut bites. The coconut shrimp they have as an appetizer is wonderful too, but they are such huge butterfly shrimp that by the time I eat even half of the appetizer, I'm full. That's why I usually get the coconut bites with my meal. They are just as tasty, just a much smaller version. I do, on occasion get the crab legs here and they are good. But let's be honest, we live on the ocean, there are better places to get crab legs, so I don't order them very often here. Yes, yes, I know, since we live on the ocean there are better places to get shrimp too, but I love my shrimp scampi, so don't judge! LOL The restaurant is always very clean, as are the restrooms. Service is exceptional here. We've always had a manager come by to check on us during our meal; I always think that's a nice touch. If you happen to have a coupon on your phone (I'm signed up for their emails), you don't have to worry about printing it off. Just show your phone to the manager and that is perfectly find with them. I hear the wait can get kinda long on Friday and Saturday nights, but we've never had a problem with this because we usually eat dinner after 9pm. This means we are always seated right away. The only thing I don't recommend here are the alcoholic beverages. At least not the "fru-fru" pretty ones. They do not have a strong pour. Actually, they barely have any pour. I've never so much as even gotten a slight buzz. They have flatscreens in the bar area which is nice. Hubby and I both love sports and have asked to sit in the bar area several times so we could watch certain games that were on. This is a great restaurant. Yes, its a chain, but its a great one. Everything positive that you expect from a Red Lobster you will find here. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary 2 weeks late and we wanted simple, good food and that is what we got. There are other great seafood places in town but sometimes you don't want to be adventurous. LOL We were given a wait time of 25-30 minutes, and it was right on the mark. We were happy to see the restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean, considering how very busy they were. We were seated in a booth, near the drink station - which pleased us because we were away from most of the other customers (which is what we wanted). The waiter was a joy. He was knowledgeable and quick, and the one thing he wasn't sure of, he immediately got the answer to from another server. He kept our table bussed, our water glasses filled, our biscuit basket full, etc., without being obtrusive. The food was excellent. My husband had the Surf & Turf (steak & rock lobster tail). The steak was cooked exactly medium as he requested, the tail was presented properly and cooked very nicely, and the sides were as well. I had the Ultimate Feast. The shrimp (fried & "scampi") were tasty and well-done, the split lobster tail was succulent, and the crab hand? I asked for claw crackers and didn't even need them except for the claw. The shells broke by hand and the meat slid right out. Very generous portions too. We didn't have appetizers or dessert, the meal was just enough. We did ask to take the Cheddar Bay biscuits that we didn't eat home, and the waiter brought us fresh, hot ones out of the kitchen in a bag. I thought that was a nice touch. I can't say we will be back here any time soon, the prices are high but I cannot argue that because our meal was definitely worth it. Recently had a very disappointing visit to this place. Arrived and was told there was a 40 minute wait for a table for 2. Sat at the bar to wait. Took 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We decided to just eat in the bar area. Moved to a booth in bar area. The waitress forgot to bring us rolls. I had to ask for them. When my wife's meal was delivered she forgot the salad until we asked. I asked for a refill of my iced tea. After about 8 minutes I went to track her down to see if she forgot this. I had a $100 gift card I was using for dinner. The ONLY reason the waitress received a good tip was to use up the rest of the gift card so I would not be tempted to go there again!! read more

Thought l would like to experience an intend enjoyable lunch outing at Red Lobster- Orange Park. First of all, I had the most pleasant waitress ever. Lunch was offered with me seasoning my lunch/salad/ soup offered with greasy salt-pepper shakers and a liquified soup chowder. This waitress offered a different soup selection again not pleasurable. I"m not a huge Red Lobster fan as I think there are far better seafood restaurants around, but when a friend invited me to lunch here I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately my former assessment still held true. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We both decided to get the lunch combo with Grilled Shrimp and Broiled Scallops. I choose the broccoli as my side and my friend had the tomato caprese salad. Our salads seem to take quite a long time to get to our table after our initial order, but eventually arrived. I had the Caesar and it was good and tasted fresh. Our lunches came soon after and at first look I thought maybe they had made a mistake. The scallops were the smallest "things" I have ever seen. Served in what appeared to be a small bowl full of watered down butter, they were smaller than a small marble. They were also tasteless and rubbery. Not very good at all. The shrimp was cooked fine, but also fairly small and for $12 I could have had a bunch more food and certainly better tasting food down the street at another seafood spot. My broccoli had this odd seasoning on it which I did not care for at all. All in all a disappointing visit. It confirms that this is not the place to go for fresh, well-cooked seafood. I hate to do this but this was the worst I've had from anyone, ever. I ordered the lobster, langastino pizza as it looked great. To start with, it was late in delivery but not blaming Lobster for that. However, when I opened the box, what was there amazed me. This was to be a pizza. Sadly, it was lacking all the cheeses, very little tomato and maybe a hand full of seafood. If there was sauce, it had soaked into the crust. Not one piece of anything was even touching anything else. For example, if you chopped up one slice of tomato into little squares, that's how much was used. They did offer me an e-gift card, which I can't use and it was for $25. Almost to the penny what I was charged. It took them 5 days to get back with me on that and when I told them about the gift card. Well, maybe never will here from them as it's been more than a week. Despite what people say about red lobster I love this place! Therefore I decided to stop in for lunch today on my break from work. I'm very glad I did. For about $13 I got the delicious cheddar bay biscuits, a garden salad, and the lunch seafood platter with shrimp scampi, broiled fish and a grilled shrimp skewer (which cost a little more than the standard fried shrimp it usually comes with). All of it was super tasty. Service was great and everything came out fast which is important when you have limited time. I'll be back to this lobsta fah sho! read more

I loved Red Lobster and used to come here a lot when my first was growing up. He loved the rolls and shrimp Alfredo. It's been awhile since we ate at Red Lobster so the family went out for a Friday night dinner. It was raining, so we are not expecting a crowd. We got there and parked and first thing that I noticed was there's a lot of trash outside the restaurant. Okay, no worries, it was raining, so probably the crew didn't get a chance to clean. We got inside and waited for only 5 minutes to be seated, again I noticed their floor and a lot of pieces of papers. Nobody wants to sweep the floor? The place was not busy. Went to the bathroom to wash my hands, oh boy bathroom was not properly cleaned, water all over the sink, paper towels, and yep the smell. Okay, hopefully the food is good, but I kept thinking about the cleanliness of the place. Server was nice and friendly, ordered some drinks and when she was serving water, she gave me a little shower. I tried to keep dry coming in the restaurant since it was raining, and I get wet inside with a glass of water... lol! No worries, accidents happens, coming from a former waiter/ bartender it's okay. Waitress apologized, it's okay. Side plates came in for our appetizer, since my son ordered calamari. My son put his plate back to center, it was dirty. Dried food on the plate, checked each plates, they're all greasy. Started to get nervous. Waitress gave us new plates, ate some rolls and some calamari, but I am just worried now about our food, because of all the things i observed and experienced. I ordered the ultimate feast since it's been awhile since we've been to red lobster, with quinoa rice and green beans as the side. Food came out, my mom's coconut shrimp was a bit dark brown, not golden brown. My plate was missing the green beans which they actually served it to my mom. My son's and wife's plate looks okay. I looked at my plate and the shrimp scampi looks like a bait size and mini lobster looks like it spent its glory days in sauna bath. Snow Crab looks like stayed late last night partying. Quinoa rice was actually wild rice. Lost my appetite and just ate half. My kid and my wife didn't finished theirs too, they said it tasted like TV dinner food. Not with the happy dinner, nevertheless I left a tip for the effort and knowing what it's like to be a waiter. I didn't complain, we just left, no boxes for left overs, and never again to return. I prefer to stop in when they offer endless shrimp, it's not listed on the menu but I get the coconut shrimp and the pineapple sauce it comes with is amazingly good it's a winner for sure. Typically chain restaurant. This is the kind of place I would take my date when I was 16-18 to impress them with a "fancy" dinner. Base on my last experience, I would rather go to a non-chain seafood restaurant to enjoy fresh seafood. The only thing fresh in here is probably the lobster that is in the tank by the entrance and even that might be debatable once the food has been served. The wife and I did not really enjoy our meal. None of the dishes were great except for the cheddar biscuits. Our service sucked. The lady helping the other table actually conversated with us more than our actual server, he just looked lost and walked around the restaurant in circles. Still tipped him nicely of course. While I was never a big fan of this major food chain I decided to go ahead and give them a shot. After an early movie me and a friend decided to come here for a bite to eat before we continued to run other errands. I can say that walking in the staff was great and the restaurant had a relaxed feel to it. Our server was very attentive which was great but when the food came out it happened to go down from there. It wasn't very busy in the restaurant that afternoon so I assumed that receiving our food in a timely manner wouldn't be a problem and I had my tastebuds set for something delicious. Somehow when my food came out it was lukewarm at best. That was very disappointing and upon trying to eat the food it didn't have very much flavor at all. Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen but I can honestly say I'm not in any rush to go back. read more

I partook there for lunch on 6/30. The atmosphere was nice although it hasn't changed any since I was last there. I came at a time when the crowd was at an ebb. My server was extremely nice and engaging and checked on me several times while I was there. She was very much deserving of the 20% tip level. I had a berry sangria that was very tasty. I was also not terribly hungry so I opted for a bowl of lobster bisque and a lobster pizza. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and the lobsters and lagostino worked for a pizza format. The only complaint I had was the bisque was saltier than I prefer but otherwise I could taste what I think was Sherry which was nice. Endless shrimp deal is only $15.00 on Monday do the family and I went. It was just okay for me. Had the shrimp scampi and fried shrimp. No reorders on either since portions were generous. We had a great server too. Absolutely zero complaints about the service. I can always count on the Cheddar Bay biscuits to be delicious. They were. Those of us that got coleslaw didn't like it at all. There was way too much lemon citrus flavor in the slaw dressing. It was rather tart. None of us ate our slaw. Our waitress did offer us a replacement salad which we declined. The shrimp was just okay. I prefer the shrimp at my regular place. I couldn't tell if the RL shrimp was overdone or underdone but it was a little on the chewy side. The tarter sauce however was very good. The tea was too sweet for me. Fish and chips were dripping in rancid grease. I had to pull all breading off, and blot with napkins, and it still tasted awful! Cole slaw was rancid and returned. Wife's platter was very, very greasy, and we were both up all night with nausea and runs. Terrible experience all the way around - except our waitress was delightful and apologetic. $50 for bad food and 24 hours of running to the bathroom? Never again! First of all let me point out that the service we received here was absolutely outstanding. Our server could not have been kinder. My issue is with the food and the interior of the restaurant itself. The crab stuffed shrimp was super mushy, The lobster pizza was incredibly greasy, The crackers served with my daughters baked potato soup were stale. The lobster trio and the crab legs that were ordered at the table weren't bad. The restaurant is dated and that's fine but the ceiling tiles and air vents were quite dusty. The lights over the tables had thick dust on the wires. I'm not sure I will return. read more
