I love a good seafood boil! And it's one of the things I crave most. We just got shrimp this time around for something casual, but it still felt very varied, with the corn, sausage, and potatoes. And the corn was super juicy and sweet. We got the mild option, but honestly, we didn't really notice any spice, so I would definitely go for a higher spice level next time. The seasoning was pretty good, but not the best I've had. It was a bit too oily for my preference, which sounds a bit dumb because of course it's oily. Being from a landlocked (Arizona) state, I wanted to get some fresh snow crab as you can truly taste the different even if you can get flash-frozen. We pulled up, and it seemed pretty underwhelming where it was located. When walking in, I initially didn't notice the insanely cool boat fountain that we marveled at on our way out. Loved the decor as simple, but the fountain elevated it more than other seafood boil places I've visited. Elijah was very friendly and appreciate the recommendation to go very spicy (extra hot). I often feel like some places vary. I want the spice, but I don't want it to completely overpower the food like some spice levels will. This achieved an exceptional flavor and still cleared my sinuses from the spice - perfection! We ordered Oceanic Special which comes with snow crab, blue crab and no head shrimp but we added crawfish. The crawfish are big which is a plus but some taste fishy. The blue crab legs I crack them they smell fishy and taste like it also. It was still brown. I dipped it on the sauce to forget the taste. Over all with the food was good, I can rate it 7/10 it's because I've tasted good quality of seafood boil somewhere else. Good: open late, I work in hospitality so it was nice to be able to go out after I got off and enjoy a meal with my girlfriend. Flavor was delicious, we added sausage and got medium heat juicy special flavor. Bad: It was late, so I am sure the server was tired, I was too after working a full shift, but the service was okay at best, had to ask for basic necessities and was never asked at any point in the service "Is there anything else I can get you" or " Anything else you might need." Or anything similar in nature, which in my opinion is quintessential. So now what really matters is the "bang for your buck." Which either means is was worth the money for either quality or quantity or sometimes both. This was not the worst experience ever it was mediocre at best. They advertise two weekend specials on their menu. One is a half pound of snow crab and shrimp boil for like 20 something dollars, which in all honesty what we should have went with and got our own snow crab boil, instead we chose the 70 something dollar special which is supposed to come with a full pound of "King Crab." Now I used to work around seafood on a daily basis so I am knowledgable enough to know the difference and I have eaten plenty of king crab in my day, let me tell you this was some of the smallest "King Crab" I have ever seen, it did not come in a whole cluster, we got maybe 5 legs which normal size king crab that is usually the case, but this crab looked not much bigger than snow crab and definitely did not look like a full pound. The boils only come with like 2 potatoes and 1 price of corn, half pound addition of sausage was low in quality. Terrible Customer service by general manager!!! Last night, 10/08/2025, My gf and I order crab legs, I order blue crab legs for the first time, she orders snow crab legs. She gets some good size crab legs to the table unknowing of the fact that the waitress brought us "king crab legs" that costed over $70!! We brought this issue up unfortunately after we already paid. The general manager could not come to terms and used every excuse on why he couldn't give us a refund. He mentioned "the waitress mentioned that we asked how much the king crab legs were and agreed on the price" THAT NEVER HAPPENED! He switched his story around several times and at one point said "I can give you a refund but it will come out of the waitress check". He was also rude enough to ask us if we have ever eaten seafood before as if we should've known the difference between which crab is which. I mentioned calling the police and he shouted that he will call the police himself. We waited on the kind police officer to come and reason with him since things were getting out of hand. The general manager tried to show the officer camera footage that my gf pointed at the king crab legs; THATS RIDICULOUS!!! All we asked was to pay the correct price for the food we ordered. The final resolution was a $20 gift card which is not enough to make up for the lack of profession, service, and customer satisfaction. Don't come here unless you want to get scammed, because apparently it's okay for juicy crab to change your order up and charge you twice the price whenever they please. read more

Although the seafood boiled deals states it comes with potatoes and corn, only 1 corn on the Cobb was included. We also ordered their catfish and Cajun fries, cheesecake, and calamari. These items were not tasty and rather bland. The cheesecake tasted homemade and missing an ingredient or two... The staff were polite and kind, so that's definitely a plus. I love The Juicy Crab! I've been to this location many times, they are always unbelievably delicious and very consistent. If I can make it in on a Monday, my go-to order is the Monday Special. It comes with 1/2 lb of black mussels, 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lb snow crab legs, corn on the cob and small whole potatoes. I usually order it prepared with the medium spice juicy special seasoning which is lemon pepper, garlic butter and Cajun mixed together. Of course, the crab legs are the centerpiece and they never disappoint. The mussels are amazing! The shrimp are great, especially when they sit in the seasoning after you peel them. The corn on the cob soaked up in the seasoning is my absolute favorite! I've also tried the Low Country Boil and the Dungeness Special, both were fantastic. Their portions are huge and I always have leftovers to take home. They package your leftovers up really well at the table side. The service is excellent! My friends and I came here because of all the great reviews they have. I ordered the calamari appetizer and it was amazing. I also ordered a seafood boil with a pound of crab legs and it came with corn and potatoes as well. I added in eggs. It was so delicious and it was a great price! If you are looking to end that seafood craving you might not want to come here because it will just have you wanting more! The only downside was being given plastic silverware. When breaking open snow crab legs, its pretty difficult to use plasticware to get it all out. Besides that, our server was Day and she was very attentive and kind! Fried shrimp and hush puppies are great. The boiled shrimp is de-veined. Get the "Juicy" sauce. I think it's a combo of all the sauces. Garlic, spice, lemon, etc. I go for medium hot. Some people find this too much. The drinks can be a little sweet. I haven't figured out how to order mixed drinks here yet. Marg was OK. Passion daiquiris was icy cold and sugared up. This visit to The Juicy Crab made me want to get out of Jacksonville altogether. There's no way any of their seafood is fresh or they would be killing half the restaurant nightly in that environment. That makes no sense. We had to look at this giant disgusting, grimy, calcified boat full of reduced water and starving Koi while we ate. Plus it was vandalized with marker all over it. It smelled like what it is, full of pond fish. Needless to say we got a box and bailed. Free the Koi they don't belong there and you are not taking care of them!
