I'm not sure where to start but wow. This was a horrible experience. Not even close to what I'm used to from red lobster. So we ordered the admirals feast. Let me just say that this was a poor example of a fish dinner. The fish are nowhere near the size advertised and it tasted like it was out the box!! About $27 in total for trash. The lobster artichoke dip was salty and old looking. About $13 for that. $35 for the bar harbor lobster bake. Seafood overcooked and the dish was so oily it gave us an upset stomach all night. I recently took my grandma here to celebrate her birthday. We were seated right away and greeted by our waitress Juju. She was nice, funny and very attentive. She brought us drinks and biscuits and later came back to take our order. When she came back, my son told her he LOVED the biscuits, she laughed and said she'd bring him more. Well she did, she brought him another basket, he was thrilled! The food came out quickly and was really good. Since it was my grandma's birthday, I wanted to see if they would do a birthday celebration. Juju was very excited and said she'd take care of it. Well she did, after we ate she and some others came over with some ice cream to sing Happy Birthday to my grandma. It was really sweet. Juju made the dinner and experience that much more special. I have to say that my experience was horrible. I ordered the lobster pizza and I found a big hair between the slices. We also ordered the feast platter. It was disgusting. The shrimp were swimming in a pool of car oil. The lobster smelled like toilet water. The fries were so plain like they were served for hospital patients. I was very disappointed after coming here. I usually like Red Lobster however I had never been to this Palmdale location. When we walked in there was no host to greet us. We waited around 10 minutes until the host came to the front desk. After we were seated by our server " Katie " who was very unapologetic and cleary hates her job. My group did NOT want to tip Angel, but I suggested we tip at least $20 for a $193 bill. Friday night trip after work for some seafood. Yep, their latest commercial got to me. First time in a Red Lobster and sadly, the last. Greeter was friendly and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and helpful. The menu can be overwhelming. Drinks, appetizers, bread and salad were fine. However, my medium steak was pretty much bleeding all over my mashed potatoes and the lobster was grossly over cooked and tasted horrible. It was not fresh, period! It was removed. They took the steak back and actually brought the same steak back but cooked longer. This was after I had cut into it!?! So, I have to admit I have some health concerns about the place and will not return to that location or any of their locations in the future. Last word- Just Gross! I give this location 4 stars because it's just your standard red lobster. They all look the same on the inside. The wait service was good. We came because of the all you can eat shrimp (duh) and it's a great deal. I was a little disappointed the coconut shrimp is no longer jumbo shrimp fried in coconut flakes. I seem to remember liking Red Lobster so much more when I was a kid. I don't know if my tastebuds have just evolved or if short cuts to save money has negatively impacted the quality of their food. It's pretty disappointing, really. My fiance is more of a picky eater and it's not easy for me to get him to try new things, but I had gift cards taking up space in my wallet and he was willing to try something new so we decided to meet one of my high school friends for dinner. We were seated right away and our waitress was very nice and patient while we decided what to order. I will say, I could eat myself sick off those cheesy rolls. They are soft and delicious and addicting. But that's really the extent of what is good. None of us were overly impressed with our orders. I got the Lobster Lover's Dream and I regret letting my fiance try that lobster for his first taste. He wasn't completely disgusted, but not at all impressed. Neither was I. His chicken tacos were 80% shell and the chicken was dry. For how hefty our bill was, you would think that we were fine dining. Other experiences that I've encountered at the location have not always been the best, especially coming from the waiters. On this new visit (Pre-Covid) my waiter was a guy by the name of Francisco. It is safe to say he was the best waiter I've ever encountered at any Red Lobster I've visited. He was professional, kind, & made my visit at this establishment enjoyable.
