    Popcorn shrimp, baked potato.
    Paul S.

Today's lunch was at our local Red Lobster. This place always provides a great meal. The salads today were spot on! Fresh mixed greens and nice and cold when served. It seems that you can never go wrong with the popcorn shrimp. Generous serving of shrimp with 2 sides. Try their Brussel sprouts as a premium side. Enough for 2 people to share. Whenever you are at this location, be sure and ask for Herb to be your waiter. While all waiters/ waitresses are excellent, Herb enhances your dining experience with his friendly, sparkling personality and top notch attention to your needs.

It's been about six or seven years since I've been here. We ordered shrimp and grits. Pretty bland and the grits were too runny for my preference. The stuffed mushrooms, as an appetizer were weren't bad. The ladies room needed to be tidied up. There are three stalls in there. One had a sign on it that stated it was out of order and one cannot be secured, so only one fully functional stall. I believe our server's name was Ethan and he was the most pleasant part of the visit.

I ordered the create your own feast. Ordered it with sea scallops, lobster tail, walts shrimp, coconut shrimp, baked potato and bacon Mac and cheese. Was a little pricey but I hardly ever eat here and it was delicious. They have the best biscuits. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Established was clean. Would definitely eat here again.

We ate there yesterday, and over the years we have ate there numerous times before COVID19. I an only say it was terrible disappointment. Had I read some of the other reviews before hand, we would have elected to have went somewhere else. The most positive thing I can say was our waitress was excellent, the food not so much. The ambiance was horrible, what used to be considered upper class dining has devolved in to staff on the floor brushing the carpet for crumbs like one would expect in a day care facility. The booth we sat in close to the front had a horrible lingering smell. I do not know if it was from the cleaner that several of the staff were constantly spraying in the dinning area. We started off with a appetizer of calamari. It is served with a jalapeños ranch and a marinara sauce. The marinara sauce was watery, the ranch was ok but not great. My wife chose the Grilled Sea Scallops & Shrimp Skewers for the main course, with rice, baked potato and side salad. I chose the surf and turf with Maine Lobster with a subsection of the New York Strip along with Baked potato and side salad. The portions of the meals have diminished with price skyrocketing. The Lobster tail was alright, as the Maine Lobster is usually more tender than the Rock Lobster. The scallops were a bit tough and overcooked. I hope that as things POST COVID-19 continue to slow easy back to some reason of normalcy this place will improve back to where it once was.

    RAW STEAK

Terrible restaurant! They tried twice to get a steak medium and it was raw both times. We asked for more bread and never got it. We had to ask several times for more sour cream. Lousy......this is why they have filed for bankruptcy.

    Garden Salad with rotten lettuce

$27 wasted It wasn't because they were busy-2 cars in the parking lot. I don't expect gourmet food from a chain restaurant. But I do expect to be able to eat it.

Horrible.. HORRIBLE experience tonight! What started off as an awesome experience (coz we didn't wait even a minute, and were shown straight to our table) turned into a most disappointing one! So... for the weekend before Christmas, it wasn't too full which was unusual. Our server was Monica who did a decent job.. except for the fact that she never refilled our drinks by herself and just asked us once if we wanted refills, that too towards the end because she knew how displeased we were. The appetizer was fine and came on time.... ordered sweet chili shrimp. The salads looked incomplete without croutons.. we let it go. Then the entrees came and it went downhill. The shrimp pizza was ok.. not good, not bad.... the grilled tilapia was fine but the side of asparagus was stringy and charred! The other 2 orders of the same came without any sauce, without the broccoli steamed and without any salsa!!!! My order of this new combo came incomplete and not looking like the menu photo!! 3 plates out of 6 had to go back... they came out when the rest were done eating. The plates were brought by the manager, Jacob, who did his best to make up for it but the damage was done. Horrible experience... I asked for a comments card TWICE but was not brought one. Jacob came to let us know that he hadn't charged for 2 of the dishes which was very nice of him, but deserved in this case. I don't know what happened to their chef tonight but another table sent back their food twice as well! And on the way out, I heard another server asking Jacob to go to a table because the customers wanted to talk to him. I'm not sure I'll be visiting this branch again.

We waited about 15 min while our waitress chit chatted with another table before coming to our table. We placed our drink and food order at the same it. We also asked if she could clean our table because it was very sticky. She rolled her eyes and said ok. We ordered the Cuban sandwiche and BBQ Cob salad with smoked turkey and egg rolls. The salad was missing the smoked turkey, the cuban was on sourdough and we asked for a bun, we asked for BBQ sauce only and it had mustard and BBQ sauce. The waitress brought out a plate with sliced smoked turkey, no knife on the table to cut it. About 10 minutes later she brought out the correct sandwiche. Everything was delicious. Just wished the service was better.

(It's not on their menu, but some fried green tomatoes with the same breading that's on the okra would be awesome!) Whether to-go, or dining in, the folks at our local Sonny;s always do it right and the waiters and waitresses are very friendly. If you dine in, order your fries extra crispy! Another one of my comfort-food favorites is their Country Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife loves their "Road Kill" (chopped steak) or their herb crusted chicken. The grilled lemon that comes with the herb crusted chicken always adds a nice flavor profile to the chicken. Salads are always fresh and cold. Be sure and ask for John to be your waiter if he is working when you are there. The steaks are always cooked to order--juicy, well-seasoned, and served hot. I've had the ribeye and the Outback Special on different visits, and both were excellent. Their sides deserve praise too: the baked potato is generously topped, and the steamed broccoli is surprisingly fresh and crisp. The Bloomin' Onion remains a classic for good reason--crispy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Service here is attentive without being overbearing. Staff are quick to greet you, refill drinks, and check in at just the right moments. Even during busy hours, I've found the wait times reasonable and the dining experience relaxed. The Richmond location has a clean, well-kept interior with just enough rustic charm to make it feel distinct from other chains. It's a great spot for a casual dinner, a celebratory meal, or even a quiet lunch during the week. Outback may be a familiar name, but this location stands out for its consistency and care. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a satisfying steakhouse experience with no surprises--just good food, good service. They open at 11:00 and I have lunch there frequently.

I also ordered a bowl of their French Onion Soup. The waitress said they they made their own soup in-house, so I was excited for a tasty bowl. Huge disappointment. The soup was not thick. It really seemed like they had added twice the water and the soup was basically onion-flavored water. The expected rich beefy broth was was non existent. Even the coloring of the soup was a light tan, not the expected dark brown. The bread in the soup had more of a consistency of a slice of light bread than anything else. I love a good bowl of French Onion Soup and this is probably the worst I have ever had. If it wasn't for the watered down soup, I would have given them a higher rating, but the soup would not even get a score of 1 star.

The only thing that will catch your attention when driving by is the roadside banner mentioning "Open Fridays from 4pm-8pm" -rather poorly designed sign because for years I thought this place was open ONLY Fridays 4-8pm. Today was Friday and I had free time, so I thought I would stop in. When I approached the door, I could see that they are open daytime hours, as well. But without the banner, I never ever would have noticed this place. Anyhow, I ordered Tom's Spicy Burger and a side of onion rings. Delicious burger but neither spicy nor a "Better Burger" -especially for the price. See other reviews for burger description. Kroger's "Private Selection" frozen burger patties taste better and the package of six patties is about the same price as Tom's Spicy. Still, it wasn't bad but it was definitely more pricey than spicy. The onion rings were delicious. I would strongly recommend them as I do prefer battered rather than breaded. They were perfectly fried, great temperature, and they were the highlight of the meal. The fried pickles appetizer was a total waste of $8. Always had deep-fried battered pickle chips at other places. Here? They take a dill pickle spear and slice it long-ways before battering the thin strips and frying. I truly thought they accidentally brought me fried string beans or something. The ONLY detectable flavor was the batter and the ranch dip with the faintest, barely existent hint of dill. I might drop in another time but after a nearly $30 bill for the three items and a drink just for myself, there are other places with a better value. Jackson's comes to mind and they know how to make fried pickles much better!
