If you like Red Lobster then this is a good location. They were very friendly over the phone and in person. My family likes the food here. So this is why we come here. The location is okay not crowded at all. Service is a little slow but I'm sure it's a staffing issue like with all restaurants right now. Where do I start. First they missed us 3x and when my husband when to go checked the lil kid boy hostess gave him attitude and said he called our name but we never got a text. then he wanted to sit us close to the restrooms.. I came in and he offer another table saying it would get warm lol whatever.. the waitress took for forever to get us some lemons (for our water).. I got up and asked to get some from the bar. Only offer bread to us once.. (kinda bummed since I love their bread) and charged us for fully loaded baked potato.. gave us a simply baked potatoes.. WAITED FOR 1 HOUR WITH OVER A DOZEN AVAILABLE TABLES AND WAS NEVER SAT DOWN! I'm a HUGE Red Lobster fan! Been to them all around the country and every single one of them has had excellent customer service...well, all of them except for THIS ONE! My wife and I were told that we would have a 40-45 minute wait. We were willing to wait but there were plenty of tables open so right off the bat we found that strange. Then we checked Yelp. 1 1/2 Stars?! Why?! After reading we realized this place is notorious for its horrendous customer service. But we wanted Red Lobster so bad that we were willing to take the chance. Big mistake. We waited for the 45 minutes the hostess told us, went back up to her and asked for an update. She told us we were next and then proceeded to call ANOTHER PARTY! We waited another 15 minutes and I decided to walk to the back to see if there was any tables available and was shocked to see there was over a dozen tables available! The service was OK. Ambience is fine. However the food oh my what happened to this place? I ordered the special all you can eat shrimps I got the shrimp on the skewer and shrimp scampi. The shrimp on the skewer was raw and also the shrimp scampi they must've forgot the garlic and it was also raw. I like my steaks, rare, but not my seafood. I told my waiter. I really can't eat these It's too raw for me. So she suggested I get the fried shrimp I did, and I don't know, I like big shrimp. Their shrimps are so small. Our waitress Tammy C was so rude and seemed to be bothered every time she came to our table. I'm a server and I tend to critique other server's service. This Restaurant is good and the employees are great. But there is alot to be said about the Managers. I had a previous incident last time i came to this restaurant with the Manager in charge in 2020 about me having to wear my mask when i entered the establishment during covid. i was willing to comply but the manager was so busy being rude to me and scoulding me like a little child that i swore not to come back to the restaurant. She insisted that the counter person that was busy and on the phone, would be the person to help me. Feels like so. i had a bad experience at this particular Red Lobster on La Sierra Blvd and Magnolia. Ohh by the way, long story short, the Manager Betty did not insist on helping me all this time. And when i asked her again at another instance, she spoke to me with an undertone and stressed how i cannot walk up close to the kitchen area and still would not help me. The Manager Betty should be trained properly or be given a pep talk on how to deal with customers in a proper fashion. I've gone to red lobster twice in this month and these photos are from both of those times, I went to red lobster a couple years back and hated it, now i am so impressed with everything! It is so delicious, and they have such amazing service and both locations i went to this month! The only thing i would say could be better was the steak my husband had, he wanted it medium rare but they gave us well, that's totally fine thought because all the other food we had was incredible! This was my first time at this Red Lobster, and I was generally pleased with what I found here. I began with an order of a Half Dozen Raw Hand-shucked Oysters on the Half Shell and a combo order of Lobster-Crab-&-Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms and Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. The oysters were fresh, large, and cold; the stuffed mushrooms suitably cheesy and crabby; and the cheese sticks good and light. My Dinner Salad of mixed greens, chopped tomato, zucchini, cabbage, Red Onion, and croutons with Bay Shrimp added, along with a very good mild Honey Mustard Dressing, was quite tasty. For my entree I selected Seaport Lobster & Shrimp, which featured Garlic Grilled Shrimp, Garlic Shrimp Scampi, and a Split Maine Lobster Tail. The grilled shrimp were succulent; the shrimp in the scampi plump and not too garlicky; and the half-lobster tail fairly sweet but salty dipped in Drawn Butter. Fresh French-style Green Beans were emerald green and tasted good to the palate, and Rice Pilaf was moist and very good. Our server initially forgot requested butter for the complimentary Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Otherwise, service was spot on. I suspect that I will be back! read more
