Went in last night, they had less than 10 people seated in the entirerestaurant. Ordered drinks the table next to ours got server two rounds before I went looking for our server.found him and 4 other servers chatting at the bar said our drinks were complicated (sodas and a rita)the drinks were promptly spilled on the table and me (also the rita was just lemon juice) sent the rita back. The drink was on the bill.Food was bland took quite some time to get served not sure if servers were chattingat the bar again .Service was very slow for how many servers and how few customers. I really want Red Lobster to succeed and I thought that maybe with the new management, things would change. Lunch today was 50/50. I had the soup and salad. The salad was fine but the lobster bisque was awful. It smelled and tasted fishy and unlike lobster. After a few spoonfuls, I had enough. Many people like their greasy little rolls, but I do not. There were few diners and I had to ask the server why there wasn't even any music playing. She laughed and said the manager forgot to put it on. It's a sad state of affairs. I have come here many more times. I've also had takeout and delivery. All has been great! Service is always very friendly and attentive. I have come after / during covid and they are doing a great job keeping everyone safe and providing quality service and food. My daughter loves their shrimp scampi, wife likes their fried shrimp and fish, I like it all. Had pretty much their whole menu. Last order we had was a family meal for delivery. Came with 3 entrees, 2 sides, and 8 biscuits; for 4 people. We had 3 people and had a lot of leftovers. We got shrimp scampi, walts shrimp, and fried whitefish. I am amazed how much whitefish we got! Plenty of food for us to have 2 large meals for 3! For 50 bucks not bad. Get two meals out of this so 25 bucks per meal for 3; or, about 8 bucks per plate! Good deal! read more

Went here for the Unlimited shrimp and I can say it was a disappointing experience. Service was okay, our first server left and got replaced with a new one. However when we ordered the shrimp, we ran into two problems- Number One: the shrimp menu offers new flavors, but we were NOT allowed to order them. Number two: the wait time between each order got longer and longer and at that point wasn't worth waiting for. On top of that we got cut off of ordering more shrimp after waiting 20+ minutes for the scampi to come out. Most of the shrimp was well overcooked, especially in the alfredo. Usually this location is good with their food handling, but unfortunately later in the day I had gotten sick. Needless to say, this is false advertising for "unlimited shrimp" if they end up cutting you off. read more

Food would have been great if Clam Chowder was hot and the bowl had about 3 spoonfuls in it way skimpy. My entree grilled shrimp, Walt's shrimp,and coconut shrimp cold, Couldn't ever find server to complain. We were a party of 6 restaurant was not that busy but service was bad. One order was wrong and waited forever for original order replacement. We needed a claw cracker for the crab claws we r still waiting. Haven't had Red Lobster in forever, but my son chose to get takeout tonight for his graduation dinner. We tried everything, from fried shrimp to the Friday night fish fry, and everything in between. The fish fry was quite good - the batter was nice and flakey, not too oily or dry - just right. Same with the shrimp and the chicken strips - very nice white meat with an excellently seasoned batter. This is probably my fourth visit to this place. It was nothing better or bad. The standard's been the same. The seating is ample and service was good. Wish they had renewed their menu with new options. There was only seafood soups. They must have some non seafood soups like minestrone or tomato bisque. The kids menu didn't offer grilled cheese sandwich either. Food served was hot and it came out pretty fast and it was good. I'd recommend this place if you eat seafood for anything. But if you are in a group and someone don't really care much for seafood then they have minimal options to choose. read more

For a chain, red lobster still provides a great dining experience! Great menu options and cheddar biscuits and salad that come with every entree! I got the fresh Atlantic salmon grilled, and loved every bite. I also tried the seafood bake with linguine which was also very tasty. The cheddar biscuits were amazing, especially when warm. The calamari for appetizer was also perfect for a group of 6 to share. I especially liked that there were fried veggies among the calamari as well. The ranch dipping sauce that came with the marinara sauce was also a smart take on the dish. For dessert, the warm chocolate lava cookie was to die for. A warm buttery rich cookie with cool and creamy ice cream on top was the best combination known to mankind. The perfect way to end the meal! A great chain experience overall! I was with friends, celebrating ones birthday. Service was absolutely awful. Two friends ordered the Endless Shrimp Special and waited ridiculous lengths of time for a single refill. We waited at least 15 minutes for drinks alone. Two people in my group ordered steaks and both were way over-cooked. One sent his back and by the time he received his new steak, everyone was finished eating. The waiter was null & void. The manager tried to make excuses. Said they had more customers than they expected. Really? You're running an Endless Shrimp special and you don't expect it to get a bit busy. I mean, the restaurant wasn't full. There was no wait. A lousy excuse. They did comp the steak dinner, and because I complained, they offered me $20 in gift cards but nothing for the other two who waited inexcusable times for shrimp. I gave one of my $10 cards to one person and told the manager he needs to offer one to the other. 9 people in our group yet they think to satisfy just one? On top of all that, they sang HBD to three tables but disregarded ours. Such a disappointment for a birthday celebration. Sadly, this is not my first time having problems at this Red Lobster location. We were there nearly three hours! They need new management & training on customer service. I don't see myself returning to the Schaumburg location any time soon!!! I forgot one thing, they were out of ice cream. Ice cream comes with the only dessert they offer (without a $2.49 up charge) on their four course meal of $17.99. What a joke. I'm surprised they didn't run out of shrimp!!! We came here for our four year anniversary and the food didn't disappoint! We had the lobster specials, & a bahama mama drink...and they were all amazing! This is one of the nicest looking Red Lobsters I have been to. You can tell this place is either New or recently remodeled. The Good: The decor is on point and makes you feel like your in a tavern near the ocean. There are tons of little elements from ships for those that have a love for Sea. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are still amazing they are little soft melt in your mouth goodness full of cheese and flavor. They also added a lot of new elements to their menu and revamped some of the old ones. Our server was very attentive and friendly so that was a plus. The Bad: The main dishes are still lacking flavor and I would say on the lower quality of chain restaurants. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was extremely greasy and the batter was burnt so you can tell they had the fryer way to hot. My husband got the new shrimp and lobster smashed potato, first of all the shrimp were microscopic and the potato was not even cooked all the way through. Disclaimer I grew up in New England right near the water with some of the best seafood you can eat so I am super critical. But overall the food was very lack luster!! read more

Boy, sometimes the franchisee makes all the difference. Last time I ate at a Red Lobster, it was at the one in my home town of Roseville, MN, and it was awful. The place stank of fish, tables were dirty, service was crappy and portions were tiny. I just ate at this one, and it was a completely different experience. The place smelled fresh, it was clean and nice, the server was at my elbow exactly when I needed him, and the portions were generous. It was a nice surprise! Out of the hundreds of times I've visited this location and others, this is the absolute worst experience my family and I have ever had at red lobster PERIOD! I brought my whole family here for a small impromptu dinner for my wife's birthday. Low and behold there were sides missing, substitutions missing, the temp of the food was lukewarm at best. The lobster tail tasted off and caused my daughter to start violently vomiting and led to my wife and I having indigestion. Even after mentioning it to the wait staff, we were given no concern or even a simple apology for the horrible quality food and service!! I'm in the mood, the mood for seafood. I haven't been to Red Lobster in a few months & it sounded pretty tastey. We arrived around 4 p.m. & we thought it would be crowded but it wasnt. I enjoy it better when the restaurant isn't too crowded. We were seated & the waitress took our drink order. About a minute later the waitress came back with our Iced teas & the Cheddar Bay Biscuits which are one of my favorites. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are the absolute best bread I have had at any restaurant. Next we got an order of stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were pretty good as well. They came out nice & hot just how they should be. For our main course we got the Ultimate Feast & the Admiral Feast cause that's how I roll. The Ultimate feast was the more pricey of the two but it had crab legs & shrimp & it was absolutely delicious. The Admirals Feast looked like something fit for a king or an admiral. It had scallops, shrimp & a lot of other items as well. I took about three bites & was full because I had so many Cheddar Bay Biscuits & my entree came with a Caesar Salad. The Caesar Salad was surprisingly good. I usually don't like salads but this was tastey. All together with tip our meal was about $70. This is better than what it would have been at most other seafood restaurants. The one thing I don't get about Red Lobster is that while it may be a good deal compared to other seafood restaurants it is still pricey but the customers in here all look like something off of the Jerry Springer show. I would think that the customers would be a little more well dressed & classier. Overall the food here was really good. The restaurant was pretty clean & the waitress was nice. Was watching TV one day... and Red Lobster commercial comes on... its that time of the year... Endless Shrimp!!! Of course the hubby fell for it. Went here on a Friday night. This location is down the roads, a bit away from Woodfield Mall. However, I swear everybody must've seen the same commercials and had the same idea!! It was early dinner time, around 5:30 pm. I thought it had a descent size parking lot, but it was so hard to find a parking spot. After driving around and around for a bit, we finally got one way in the back. Walked in and signed up for a table for 2. We were told it would be a "quick 30 minute wait." (Yes, I snickered at that comment.) Thankfully, there were a few benches around. The best thing about Red lobster is.... the picture menus!! I have to stress how important that is for me. I love to have a picture or some kind of image of what I'm about to eat. I ordered the glazed salmon with teriyaki grilled shrimp over rice with mash. My plate was priced at $18. Not a bad price for seafood. The hubby ordered... yup you guessed it.. Endless Shrimp and priced at $14.99 only. We also had the lobster pizza as the appetizer. The pizza was ok. Not enough lobster on there. My glazed salmon was very good. Moist.. looked very good to the eye... and tasted great. As for the hubby, he had oodles of shrimps. Here are a few things he tried... shrimp pasta, battered fried shrimps, shrimp scampi, parmesan shrimps, coconut shrimps, and grilled teriyaki shrimps on a skewer. Yes, I tried some of his shrimps... I like the creamy pineapple sauce for the coconut shrimps... and I've always loved the shrimp scampi. Which is garlicky and buttery. Our waitress was so very nice. She was always checking in on us, even if the table she was helping next to us, were all having endless shrimp as well. I felt sorry for her after a while. The other table was ordering oodles and oodles of shrimps. She was going back and forth, back and forth so many times for them. In the end, she gave us a box to pack what we didn't finish to take home. One last thing I want to talk about. Yes... I think Red Lobster has the best bread rolls. Always so warm, soft, tasty and they look beautiful. I had 2 rolls, as the hubby engulfed 4 rolls. We were craving for seafood so decided to check this place out on a Saturday evening for dinner. There was a 15 minute wait for a table at 7 pm which was very reasonable indeed. Ordered the Maine Lobster Bake and the Crab Lovers' Dream which were both fine for the price we paid - would probably say that the Maine Lobster Bake was more delicious than the Crab Lovers'.
