Upon arrival with my family (party of 5) we were told it would be a 20 minute wait....after 60 minutes we were seated at a table designed for 4, they stuck a chair on the end. Once seated we waited about 10 minutes before we were helped. However our waitress Lindsey was very kind and helpful. So first the salads arrive...I have never seen a smaller salad in all my years of eating out. The food was average but definitely not worth the price per portions size. I have Eaten here about three time and will say iv'e enjoyed the food, and service, yes reading the other reviews prices are a bit pricey BUT i can assure you the food is delish! I then had us sample the seafood stuffed Mushrooms (Warning let them bitches cool- LOL) very hot when coming out but ohhhh sooooo good trust me on that! Then, we always enjoy them Cheddar Bay Biscuits and always get some for home. Our last visit we had Donnie as a server he was friendly charismatic , attentive never a dry glass of your choice of drink, and prompt attentive service with a smile and conversation as well as knowledge of food and always checking on how your doing on your food. So this meal was a simple one we wanted Fish and chips for dinner, Man were we pleasantly surprised the portion Oh My!! Larger than iv'e ever seen portion with some fresh hot crispy fries i got a salad cause here is one thing i will honestly say i did not like was their Cole Slaw its too vinegar for me so i gotten a salad. i asked for extra tarter and cocktail sauce and whalla i come with the meal! The batter on them fish fillets were phenomenal batter, crunchy, deliciousness made my mouth water. i highly recommend this to all whom like a nice Friday Dinner of Fish & Chips. Disappointed. Went on a Monday for endless shrimp. Husband and I ordered a beer, finally got it after 10 minutes? Cheddar biscuits finally came with our food. I think there was 1 server for about 4 people, at least we saw only one server. Really has gone down hill. Shrimp scampi wasn't the garlicky ones I have always gotten. Usually the food here is ok, thou somewhat overpriced in comparison to the multitude of good seafood restaurants in. this area . I ate here today due to a friend's grandson's request. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer which were good, fresh tasting . My entree was crab cakes topped with shrimp. It was gross looking , super tiny slivers of slimy crab mushed together topped by by 4 half raw shrimp . Not even sort of close to being a crab cake, & I have eaten many in quite a few restaurants . I have dined at this fantastic establishment for many many years. The highlight of my trip is always the superb service by Bobbi. She has a wonderful personality, makes sure we always leave happy and is extreme friendly and entertaining. Her smiling face is so inviting and welcoming and she makes us feel like family. Dinner Was explained different from what the hostess and (2) waitresses explained. Menu has changed . Manager Paula Rice was nasty, and said she could bring a side to upcharge. Some salsa crap on top of the served lobster. Very snooty manager.Not happy. This is a 80th birthday dinner, and great care went into making this outing. Too many other places to try. However, my new hero , another Manager Mike Rhos came to the rescue. He was a master in customer service and hospitality. He listened, said the order was incorrect, and took away wrong order. We came for the crabfest and took advantage of the newly offered and seasonal meals. No complaints with food except I will say they aren't consistent. One visit the crab & lobster is over salted (way over salted with one experience) and the next visit (this visit) under salted/seasoned. My husband ordered a drink and it was apparent they had been selfish with the liquor. Pricey drinks to not taste any alcohol. I will say our waitress was great even though we had to wait a silly amount of time for our food. Overall pleasant experience even though the entire dining experience took almost 2 hours from arrival to departure. Server was a bit slow, had to request her whereabouts from other servers 2x. But when she was attending to our table she was pleasant and polite. She was prompt to remove salad plates etc., in order to make table space comfortable. She was also quick in getting Management to our table to discuss a couple of issues. Management was kind and understanding in regards to those issues and prompt to make corrections. Now this is sad. :( The only Red Lobster for miles around....and it's going right down hill! It has been for sometime...but giving it one more try, we were not surprised to see that on a Friday night - 6 ish - they weren't busy at all. However, the lack of customers didn't seem to affect the numerous staff floating around that kept looking our way and passing us by.....for way too much time. Finally, one decided that we might not yet have a waiter/waitress. After her approaching and asking if we'd been helped....the waitress for that table appeared. She took our drink order for Happy Hour....which we arrived at 5:50 and it was now....after 6:05 but she said she would make sure the happy hour prices were honored. She took our drink order and never asked what liquor we wanted in our drinks. ??? Drinks came quickly....and we ordered appetizers and our dinners. She wrote down the wrong dinner item on one of the meals, returned it to the kitchen with that plate and returned with a new plate and the portion that had been originally ordered. ??? Claiming that what had been delivered the first time is what was ordered. NOT SO! We all heard the orders...and she just got it wrong! She kept her comments regarding the mix-up brief and left us to enjoy our meals. As the dishes were emptied we began stacking them for table room. Numerous booths/tables were empty around us....and the number of waiters/waitresses was remarkable. One would have thought they were scheduled for a busy night. Not the case! Our thoughts....all of us, were.......the staff needs more training on how to service customers/tables. The drinks were OK...but it would have been nice to let them know what liquor was prefered. The appetizers, for Happy Hour...were OK, but nothing special and odd size servings. The meals were OK...but again, nothing to rave about. Steaks were tough....lobsters were small....and salads had way too much onion! Clearing the table was far from a prompt option for our server. We are good tippers but the quality of service wasn't what it should have been....along with the quality of food. So........we like so many others won't be returning anytime in the future. There are many other options for dinner out and planning a short road trip can certainly get us to some GREAT seafood/appetizers and drinks....let alone service! read more

I placed an order online for pickup they sent me back a receipt that said my food would be ready at 6:35 p.m. I was there at 6:25 I sent my granddaughter in to pick up my order she had to wait for my bread. My food was cold my bread was hot my fish look like it was cut up for a child I go to Red Lobster's all over and I have never gotten a meal as bad as the one I got tonight the portion look like it was half of what it should have been the worst meal I have ever gotten from a Red Lobster. While this may be the best stop on Gordon Ramsey s tour for Kitchen Nightmares. It is understandable why they built it next to retirement communities where most people have lost their sense of taste. The clam strips tasted like onion rings letting me know they do their best to either use one fryer or don't bother changing the grease. The scallops were over seasoned by a rookie cook who finally got promoted from busser. The baked potato was overcooked which is really hard to do. The service from Bobbi was the same service I expect from the teenager that has been at McDonald's for the past 3 years and has no goals in life. I waited over 10 minutes for a drink while she took time to talk to the other servers. Her scowl could turn mary poppins away. Maybe someday the management will look at their operations and fix at least one of their issues to make me come back to this once beloved restaurant. read more

Silverware is not clean most of the time and sometimes on a busy day when silverware is being cleaned, Servers will get impatient and run silverware UNDER THE SINK with warm water! We had dinner last night at Red Lobster. Service was great and the steamed oysters were awesome. However I ordered Crab Alfredo and the sauce was the worst I've ever had. Asked the Server if the recipe had changed and she hesitated then said yes they did change it. The sauce had no flavor it was very thin and no flavor of parmesan. What a disappointment the old sauce was much better I will not order this again. Took the left over home and it was not fit eat today. The sauce turned into a very thin liquid. I give this place 5 stars because the service is outstanding. I read Agee reviews about ripple complaining about the food but I have never had bad food here thank goodness. I will however give them the benefit of the doubt maybe the asparagus was burnt or the mashed potatoes were cold but what about the service. Bad food can always be replaced but great service is really hard to come by. Last year for Valentine's Day I had a blast. The bartender was amazing and I mean on top of her game. She was knowledgeable and very outgoing. She had everyone drinking and having a blast. We were all talking to each other and exchanging numbers and just laughing. When we were called to sit down we were almost sad but ended up taking 2 culés with us to join us so they wouldn't have to keep waiting and so we can continue laughing and having a great time. The point is I highly recommend this place the atmosphere is unbeatable and yes the food is great! read more

I ate in your Spring Hill, FL restaurant last evening, 4/4/2018. I had the Lobsterfest Surf and Turf. During the meal I asked my wife to smell the Sirloin topping. I believe it was tiny shrimp and/or lobster bits in a white sauce. It didn't taste right after consuming a portion of it. My wife smelled the topping and she thought it had a VERY fishy unappealing odor, but since she doesn't like seafood (she had the Strip Steak) she chalked it up to that. I stopped eating what turned out to be spoiled food and ended up bringing the entire sirloin and remainder of the topping home. Last evening, around 11:10 P.M., I started vomiting accompanied by the worse diarrhea I've ever had. I continued this until 4 AM this morning. Two hours of dry heaves topped off my illustrious evening. OBSERVATIONS: The food I ate was spoiled. I expect that from a 3rd rate restaurant but not Red Lobster. The portions were PATHETICALLY small, especially the lobster tail. That was a joke! I commented to my wife that I wondered where its mommy was. As a result of the experience, BEFORE I GOT SICK, I told my wife while driving home that we would never be going back to Red Lobster, never! NEVER is a long time, but after the toilet "bowl hugging" food poisoning that I experienced, NEVER will happen to the day I die. I don't want a Red Lobster credit voucher; I just want you people to FIX your lousy spoiled food and meal portions. I just wonder how many customers experienced what I did yesterday and into this morning. BTW - The last time I ate at Red Lobster the waiter tried to swindle us out of $20.00 I spoke the restaurant manager and explained the waiters scam. He then realized what was happening. Our server Courtney R was great. Friendly and attentive. we started with cheese stick and fried clam stripe appetizers. The cheese sticks were ok but the clam strips were horrible. They were undercooked, mussy and tasted of all batter. The clam strips were not even as good as any store bought frozen food selections. I ordered the Ultimate Feast @ $29.99 base but i opted to add grilled shrimp in place of the scampi. I didn't want the scampi because of the garlic sauce. I was told it would be and added up charge of 1.99. So ok. The Lobster, butterfly fried shrimp tasted decent and prepared well. The crab legs were dry and over cooked. The grilled shrimp I paid extra for appeared freezer burnt and chewy. My husband had the NY strip steak with mashed potatoes @ $25.00. His steak was extremely over seasoned but was actually cooked correctly. All in all the bill with ice tea and soda came to $76.50. For that kind of money I expected much much more in the way of taste and quality. I would not recommend this place for anyone that actually wants good seafood or a decent steak! read more

This is by far my daughters favorite restaurant. Being a single mom, we usually go there for special occasions and holidays. My daughter spent Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the following two days at UF Shand's in Gainesville. She also spent the day before New Year's Eve through to 1/4/18 there as well. Tonight we celebrated both at Red Lobster, Spring Hill FL. The staff has always been amazing and has never minded her 90lb service dog tagging along. They've always been very open, friendly, easy going, and we have ALWAYS received spectacular service. Furthermore, they are very knowledgeable about service dogs. Just as always, all of the staff were nothing short of amazing. Ashley (our awesome waitress) was exceptional! She was very courteous, polite, funny, helpful on all of our questions, patient, never rushing, prompt, etc!!!! To top this amazing crew, we always order one desert to share. Tonight we ordered two different deserts...one for each holiday. When they arrived, one plate said Merry Christmas and the other Happy New Year's. I just wish I could give this restaurant more stars because they definitely deserve it read more

Food was undercooked. The lobster and the shrimp instead of being white it was translucent. The second I bit into it I immediately spit it into my napkin when we showed the waitress instead of offering us our money back she said it was cooked the same way as always. I love seafood but because of this experience am scared to eat shrimp or lobster again. we are there yesterday and i have to say it's the worst red lobster i've ever eaten at the waitress sucked. the restueant had a total of 6 tables and 2 people at the bar we ask for refills on drinks never got it ask for extra dressing for a salad never got it ask for more bread never got it . needless to say no tip for her now the food. do not order brussell sprouts they erte rotten the eaiyress tried to say that eere under cooked no they were rotten. the endless shrimp trip is a joke tiny shrimp the fried shrimp is out of a bag like you can buy at wal-mart . no hushpuppies i'm either plate period. we will never go back there read more
