Red lobster has always been me and my families favorite place to eat. I usually get the same food on the menu and decided to order something different. For drinks I had the sunset passion colada it was so good. Of course the biscuits tasted great as usual. I tried the new lobster linguine and it okay. That was the only reason why I took a star off. My family members enjoyed their food and really loved it. Our server Cesar was super sweet. It's such a great place to eat with a big group. I swear everytime I come here the menu is different, although that's not a bad thing. I will profess I'm not much of a seafood person at all. And there are very few seafood/fish items I'll eat and enjoy. The service was great and a big shout out to our server last night Tony, not only was he attentive but funny. We made sure we tipped him well. And did I mention too he hooked up us with extra biscuts to take home (bonus!!). Back to the food. Between the biscuts and salad I had pre-dinner I only ate a few bites of my potatoes and green beans and had maybe a third of my fish. I got the salmon as it was one of the fresh fish of the day. It was cooked perfectly, not too dry. I had mine wood-fire grilled which was excellent. Given that there are staffing shortages EVERYWHERE, especially at restaurants, we knew that wait times would be longer and we were prepared to wait patiently. We were seated in an area with only one server, Cindy, who was friendly, attentive, and efficient (Others tend to be hyper focused on service, but that is not the only aspect of your experience.) Our party ordered the admirals feast, salmon quinoa bowl, fish and chips, and the fried fish sandwich. Everything was cooked and seasoned well and the portion sizes were good. My salmon was the perfect doneness (I hate overcooked salmon) and the glaze and dressings were flavorful. The other meals, along with their sides, were a hit - but you can never go wrong with fried food. Overall, we had a great meal with great service and we will return. read more

I would measure the time in years since I last set foot in a Red Lobster primarily because the one nearest my house closed down a while ago. For this occasion, we had a colleague leaving the company and for his going away lunch he chose here. Our group numbered eight in size when we arrived on a Friday afternoon at noon. The restaurant had only a few patrons dining at this time and after a brief delay to push some tables together we were promptly seated. The dining room was well lit, clean and at a comfortable temperature compared to the building heat and humidity outside. There is an outdoor dining option here but not today for us. Their menu has all the typical seafood dinner options along with the last two pages of more appropriately priced lunch size portions. We started with a lobster pizza and fries for appetizers. The pizza was well prepared and my first for having lobster on it. The latter dish of fries was for our token vegetarian. He gnawed on those and ordered a large salad as his main dish. I selected the lunch shrimp tacos. The dinner version adds a salad to your meal. My tacos came with a nice side of wild(?) rice that was yummy. The tacos themselves were only OK. I would have preferred a bit more bite in the sauce as they tasted a little too plain for my liking. Service throughout the meal was excellent. Our server kept our drinks filled and delivered everything with the desired sides all together after a reasonable wait. The manager on duty stopped by to check on things as well. I did miss those cheesy rolls they serve and that might be enough for me to return again in months rather than years. read more

My last (and first) Red Lobster experience (at a different location) was not positive, and I was given a gift card by the GM of that location as an apology. I was excited to give Red Lobster another shot, and I think that this location was definitely better than the Denton, TX location. We had a long wait, but it was a holiday, so it was to be expected. We got a text when our table was ready, which was nice; not having to wait in the noisy and crowded restaurant. Our waitress was nice and very prompt. I had the peach sweet tea which was good and refreshing. Not terribly sweet. The famed biscuits were much better than my last experience - buttery, hot, and soft. I had to stop myself from filling up on biscuits alone. For appetizers, my boyfriend and I got the coconut shrimp, which came with a thick coconut sauce. I was not a huge fan but he enjoyed them. We also were adventurous and tried the mussels, which I was pleasantly surprised by! The garlic and white wine broth/sauce was great. The bread served with the mussels could have been a little less crunchy. For my entree, I chose the wood-grilled salmon, lobster, and shrimp. The shrimp was meh. The Lobster was extremely salty and I couldn't eat it (I also heard the table behind us complaining that their lobster was too salty as well). The salmon was my favorite part. Overall, the dish was not worth the $30 price tag. I was planning on dessert but was way too full! When I was ready to pay I gave the waitress my gift card. Apparently the system was not expecting it, so she had to get the manager. Apparently the gift card had 17 digits and their gift cards should only have 16 digits. I tried calling the GM who had given me the gift card in the first place. I was on hold for a while and it was super embarrassing having the waitress and manager standing over my table. Finally the manager was able to try taking out different digits, and he got it to work. I never got a hold of the GM. Very ironic that that would happen, but the staff were super nice about it. Overall I would just not come back. The prices are too high for the quality and taste of the food. read more

The hostesses were very rude. They told us 20 minutes waiting time, which was understandable for a Friday evening. So we wait. It's not that bad of a wait, only there were two groups of people who came in after us, and got seated before us. So both me and my sister stands up, giving them the "what the heck" look, and they started whispering amongst each other. Woowwww ok. So once their little conversation was done and over with, we get a booth. The bathrooms were 2/5. The floors were sticky, the toilets looked like they haven't been cleaned all day, the trash bin was overfilled with used paper towels. Anyway. Our waitress, Jackie, was just the sweetest. Very attentive and checked up on us often. She was very personable, and kept the cheddar biscuits coming for my hungry sister. Our food was delicious. My sister got chicken strips and I got the lobster pizza. Then we got the brownie overload I think it's called? And that was fantastic. A very "meh" experience. Red Lobster Sterling is the best Red Lobster's I have been to. The service is stellar, I feel the servers are trained to be extra nice at this place. I always stop by at this place whenever I visit Dulles Town Center. I visited last Monday and then today, we were served by Janice, a very nice lady or I should the most amazing. Our orders were perfect grilled shrimp skewer and southwestern chicken tacos with garden and Caesar salads. The cheddar bay biscuits are to die for and then you can ask for more for the road :) My all time favorite is Salmon New Orleans, the perfectly cooked salmon topped with Cajun shrimp in butter sauce.. All the staff is very friendly. The bathrooms are clean. There is a facility for mobile order and reservation of tables. A great bargain for fresh seafood. read more

It's almost not worthy the time to dispute with the credit card company but will make sure to make the complaint to the cooperate office! This is cheating! Echoing many other reviews. Long waiting time to be seated and long waiting time to receive any food when it was not a rush hour and twice more staff were walking around than seated customers. Fun fact about the tips. I really wanted Red Lobster to be good, I really did. But as much as I enjoyed my first "experience" of dining at a restaurant that I've always wondered about since childhood, the food simply did not deliver. Apparently, the Lobster Fest is a big deal, as we had to wait for a table for our early dinner before 5pm. By the time we left at around 6, the place was packed. Our dinner started out very well, with the warm, salty, cheddar seasoned, fluffy biscuits. I mean, with that combination, what could go wrong?? Unfortunately, the biscuits were by far the best part of the meal. We started with the lobster, crab and seafood stuffed mushrooms. Anything could have gone into the stuffing and it would have tasted the same. As I told my husband, "I could have made that if they put me in a kitchen with those ingredients." And that's saying a lot, as I am by no means a good cook. Our Lobster Lover's Dream had two lobster tails, a shrimp and lobster pasta, and a side (we chose broccoli). The lobsters were tough on the outside, and our knife noisily scraped the dish several times as we tried to cut through the hard meat. And you would think that it's pretty difficult to mess up a pasta with shrimp and lobster, but somehow, Red Lobster did just that. It had absolutely no flavor aside from the grease, the shrimp were small and unremarkable, and the lobster claw did very little to save the dish. Even if you're not the veggie type of person, I highly suggest getting a vegetable side, as you'll need it to cleanse your palate of the grease. What Red Lobster does have going for them is the friendly service. Our server was very enthusiastic when we told her that it was our first time here, and was very attentive with our water service. My experience with lobster is far from extensive, and I left Red Lobster wondering if I just didn't like lobster that much. If you want lobster at a reasonable price, Red Lobster may very well be your only option. But if you just want some good grub, I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

Red lobster is a nationwide brand so the expectation is pretty much the same at all locations, however this location stands out. Why? Simply because of the outstanding team. Jose is an exceptional manager. He turned a negative DoorDash experience into and amazing amazing in person one. He is attentive, cares about the brand and truly treated is as though we were the only customers in the world. For that we give this location 5 stars and wish we could rate Jose and the team individually because they deserve recognition for being model employees on how best to manage a brand. I've ALWAYS had horrible service at Red Lobsters, but when they have specials going on, it's a good way to get some reasonably priced seafood, and it's always pretty darn good quality too. (Plus, uh, cheesy biscuits!) This was my first time ever visiting this location, and the server, Yely, she was amazing. I also was seated immediately, and I've NEVER been seated immediately at a Red Lobster. Crabfest is in full swing, and I enjoyed crab legs, lobster, shrimp, scallops and more. I deleted a review I left a couple of years ago because my negatives no longer apply. Two of us had dinner. One ordered crab cakes, the other the Admiral's Feast. Admiral's Feast is all fried: fish, bay scallops, shrimp, clam strips. All cooked PERFECTLY! Done, flaky, moist and flavorful. No bullets to be seen. All items are FRESH. No fishy taste. Plus the Admiral must be a hungry guy, because I ran out of capacity half-way through. It really is enough for two. Crab cakes were also fresh and tasty. And more than my companion could eat. Ordered curbside pickup and was told my order would be ready by 5:20. There was a ridiculous line for pick-up orders. There was no one from the restaurant giving any information to the people in line, nor was anyone answering the phones when we tried calling. After about one hour, we were finally able to flag someone down who told us the kitchen was backed up by about an hour and a half and that they were just starting the 5:00 orders. There was no apparent preparation, no organization, and a lack of communication. Many people canceled orders after flagging down one of two people who made rare appearances as cancellations had to be done in person. They were clearly not equipped to handle high demand takeout and delivery orders. We finally received our order after one hour and 47 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time. So 5 stars for the experience and the food. First this is one of the only Red Lobster in VA with outdoor seating. We had a member in our group who still prefers outside dining. The food - well - it's the standard Red Lobster so not much different than the regular red lobster food but it all tasted fresh and well prepared. But our waitress was excellent and gave great service. The manager also came outside and put up an umbrella (to keep us out of the sun!). It's so rare I get to eat out now a days with my healthy lifestyle changes, but on the rare occasion I don't feel like cooking I try to still eat as clean as possible. Tonight I was craving shrimp, so naturally a seafood restaurant came to mind! They are having their "Lobsterfest" going on currently so it was an easy sell to my boyfriend. This review is mainly towards the staff at this establishment, the food is good but what made it 5 stars was what I saw happening tonight. First I overheard a waiter talking to his tables and it seemed like they were friends, only to find out that the two guys were just passing through on a road trip. I love when servers interacts are real and not just reviving orders, you could tell this guy was enjoying his job. Second the manager was running food the entire time we were there, he served us our meals and I watched him serve about 7 other tables throughout the night. Great team work, my water glass was never half full, and my boyfriends beers had little time between. What I really loved was seeing the manager cracking crab legs for an elderly customer. He went out of his way to help this man and it was great to see a team helping each other out so much! I know we will be visiting again, hopefully soon because lobsterfest isn't forever! read more

So I picked my son up from high school and asked him where he wanted to eat. I wasn't surprised when he said Red Lobster. On the way there we were discussing Yelp and as we parked he asked how I had reviewed them. It hit me I had not! It's a chain seafood place and not going to be exciting. My son loves the biscuits and as a teenager can eat pounds of popcorn shrimp. The truth is I usually enjoy my food. I think the problem with this particular location is probably staffing, and it is a problem all over the place. I must say we were there early and it looked empty, it actually wasn't but the couple of tables were out of eyeshot. We stood at the hostess stand for at least 5 minutes. Finally a nice woman sat us and also was our server. I was expecting this as they are so short staffed but it was kind of ridiculous. She was lovely and did a good job, but honestly they seem to need to hire at least 50% more people. Probably impossible right now. My salmon was delicious and my son was full, but I am afraid for this place. As long as they are open we will be there, but not sure how long that will be. read more

First of all the no call in wait list policy is horrible because you have to physically go to the restaurant to get on the wait list, then hang around while waiting on a text message...We live close by and was told that the wait list was around an hour and forty minutes so I drove to the restaurant and went in and put my name on the list. The hostess told me it would be a 45 min. 15 minutes later after I had driven home to pick up my wife and son, I received a text that our table was ready. After texting that we're on our way, when we got there approximately 30 min later, they told me our table had been deleted and now it was a two hour wait. The manager was not willing to make any accommodations at all... just a tuff luck... get lost attitude... don't waste your time on this place!!!! read more
