    Jambalaya Lobster, Shrimp, Salmon
    Dan P.

Had lunch with my family today at Red Lobster. I heard on the news the CEO was switching things up and wanted to check it out. Wife, 2 y/o, and I never been to a Red Lobster so didnt really have much to go off of. The interior was a "dated", after seeing the Red Lopster interior change on TV, i was hoping to see the new interior, so that was a bummer. Ms. C was our waitress. We had the corner area, probably about 7 tables? It was around 1145 so not many guests were there. Our child has allergy concerns so before we ordered, Ms. C brought the allergy booklet out and confirmed all our orders the Shrimp, lobster, salmon, potato and broccoli. Jambalaya shrimp and sausage. She recommended not to give our kid the biscuits (allergy concerns) so instead brought out fruit for him. Not requested but such a generous offer and showed her above and beyond care for our kid. Our big concern was the food being salty ( as most Cajun seafood places are). Food wasn't salty, perfectly seasoned, juicy lobster and shrimp. Salmon wasn't overcooked, Orzo rice was amazing. Ms. C was attentive, genuinely caring, and professional. We are a Red Robin or Texas roadhouse fan. But this Visit put Red Lobster on our top list. Family of 3, Lobster shrimp, salmon, Jambalaya, biscuits, fruit, great service for under $70 for a sit down restaurant? in this economy. Rare. We will be going there again. Thank you Ms. C for a great experience.

My wife and I ate dinner there on August 2nd. We had, I think they call it, Rocket Shrimp as an appetizer. It was very tasty, the sauce was delicious. The cheddar biscuits were delicious as always. She had the baradi crab legs, crispy potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The crab was tender, sweet, delicious. The crispy potatoes were delicious, they needed salt but so nice and crispy. The steamed broccoli was cooked perfectly but also lacked salt. I had the stuffed flounder, Mac and Cheese, Brussel sprouts. The fish was tender, the sauce was delicious. The bacon Mac and Cheese was very tasty. Lots of bacon. Needed a little more sauce but very tasty. The Brussel sprouts are delicious. Perfectly cooked. Just the right amount of balsamic vinegar. Our server was friendly and attentive.

Glad to see Red Lobster is back! The food was wonderful. The hush puppies were better than I even remember. The margarita flight wasn't too good but it may just be that I'm not a huge drinker. The server was attentive and very friendly. The dining area was clean and nice but the female restroom was horrible and smelled like a sewer. I took a star off for cleanliness of the restroom.

I can't tell you the last time I've been to Red Lobster but I was inspired by posts regarding the $20 Tuesday Crab Legs on TikTok so I said let me go on and see what everyone is talking about. I arrived around prime dinner time and was seated immediately. My 1st server Freddie immediately greeted me and I told him I already knew what I wanted because I was here for the Tuesday Crab Leg special to which he said was a good choice. You can opt for traditional steamed legs or garlic butter and I had to go with the garlic butter because why not!!??!!?? The deal also comes with crispy potatoes and your choice of one side. Once upon a time all entrees came with salads if I recall correctly, yet I guess with inflation over the years that wasn't the case anymore and a side salad as a side has an up charge of $2.49.... so I "splurged" lol and ordered the side salad as my side. As I waited Freddie brought a basket of those delicious cheddar bay biscuits and on first bite, they were just as I remembered .... PURE HEAVEN! Once my meal arrived I was excited to dig in! And let me just say that everything was YUMMY! The only critique I have is that the crab leg shells were a little soft which was unusual (I'm used to them being pretty firm and with the cracking device cracking them it being a bit of a SNAP, yet that wasn't the case) but the meat in those legs came out perfectly and there was zero fight in getting it out. I was checked on a few times throughout my meal by a new server, Marvin, and he ensured that I was enjoying everything and that I had everything I needed. I was able to eat all the crab legs and left 75% of the potatoes, not because they were bad (they were actually delicious), but because I was full! So, this Tuesday deal is truly a GREAT ONE because it's delicious and filling and all for just around $20! Needless to say I'll be back Red Lobster and the Endless Shrimp will be next on my list :)

Red Lobster is always hit or miss but this visit was a hit. Food (5/5): Cheddar Bay biscuits were fresh and hot. The food was great. We came for Lobsterfest. We had coconut shrimp- which were large and freshly fried. Hubby got the seafood stuffed flounder and I had the Lobsterfest special of grilled lobster tail and steamed lobster tail (the grilled was the best). We had sides of salad (fresh simple garden salad), broccoli (steamed with butter and garlic- my favorite), cole slaw (just ok), and mashed potatoes with a special lobster cream sauce (5.50 extra and worth it). Overall, we ended taking half of the meals home (other than the lobster tails) so we got another meal from this.). Service (5/5): the servers were kind and attentive. Value (3/5): The food is really overpriced for what you get and I'm always surprised that Red Lobster is still in business.

Totally forgot til we were done eating...

It was unusually busy for a Monday morning, but the ambiance here can be described as casual and clean. It's great for a family outing, hanging out with groups of 2-4 people or a relaxed date. Also, my Monterrey Club was filled nicely. There was a good ratio of turkey to bacon to greens to bread to tomato and avocado. What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. For a weeknight, this restaurant was surprisingly busy, which felt like a good sign! Dinner started out with trying some of their appetizers. We got the Tex Mex Egg Rolls as well as their special Burrata appetizer. The Tex Mex Egg Rolls came with four tasty mini egg rolls filled with smoked chicken, corn, black beans, onions, peppers, and jalapeño jack cheese. They were served with a creamy avocado dipping sauce that added a cool, refreshing contrast to the savory filling. Overall, these were a light and flavorful way to start the meal. The Burrata special was also pretty good. It came with three crisp breads, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, extra virgin olive oil and drizzles of balsamic glaze. I loved the buttery, creamy burrata paired with the juicy cherry tomatoes. I also liked how the basil pesto and balsamic glaze gave a bright, herby flavor. For my entree, I opted for the Wood Grilled Chicken Breast. Two generous pieces of tender grilled chicken were served over angel hair pasta tossed in brown butter sauce, alongside roasted cremini mushrooms and green beans. Interestingly, I got a lemony flavor in the brown butter sauce, which was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. I especially enjoyed the roasted cremini mushrooms. These were earthy, meaty and full of flavor! Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Sweetwater Tavern. From the flavorful starters to the hearty entree, it was a satisfying first dinner in Dulles. I'm glad I took the hotel receptionist's recommendation. Locals know best!

It came with a pretty decent amount of risotto topped with chicken, artichokes, tomatoes, spinach, feta, all over pesto base and finished with lemon sauce. The risotto itself was creamy with a nice texture, though the flavors were not as bold as I would have liked. With all the ingredients, I would have expected a little more flavor. The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Even though I was one of the last diners of the evening, I never felt rushed. My server was very attentive and social which I love. There were some who knew their customers by name and took time out to talk with them but that slowed down service a little for the rest of us. Nothing too bad but you might wait a bit for refills or something you need after your food or drinks arrive. The entrees seemed, to us, to be too filling. The bacon cheeseburger consists of: "100% angus burger, apple-wood smoked bacon, vermont white cheddar, canadian cheddar, sliced tomato, and crispy leaf lettuce". We both ordered it cooked medium. The dish comes with fries. To drink, I had ginger ale while my husband had a Heineken 00. Our server was friendly and efficient. He made a mistake, bringing my husband a Coke instead of the beer. My husband corrected him. He apologized and retrieved the correct drink. The burger was dry and overcooked. It was more on the medium well side. In one way, I didn't mind that as I didn't end up with greasy hands or a burger that falls apart. The bacon and the cheese provided some relief from the dryness. The fries came out hot, which we appreciated. All in all, it was an OK experience; we would consider going again sometime.
